The location is great, old beams, rustic, cozy! Service quick and friendly. Food super tasty, good portions. Prices are higher, we paid €70 for 2 main courses and 2 drinks including a tip - you treat yourself, but for us it's not for regular going out.

Why are there only the points... Food, service and ambience... There's not much to complain about... But who's afraid of the "price" category... the owners or Google??? So the prices are definitely too high even for Stuttgart and a “normal” restaurant. Take a look at the price list for the dishes beforehand... This is all €5 too high for almost every dish... I won't be coming back...

The food and service were fantastic!

We didn't have a reservation and the landlord still got two seats for us. We were served immediately. As befits our status, we ordered Maultaschen, which were served in less than 20 minutes. Delicious regional dishes at moderate prices. Can really recommend. Very centrally located on the market square and within walking distance.

Important information for everyone who wants to dine here: warm food until 9:30 p.m. Very good food. Prepared quickly and the portion was very generous. Nice service. Recommended.

A quaint, small economy Food really tasty 😋

We stopped here for lunch during the voltsfest parades (end of September) and it was so good! We came by recommendation and it didn’t disappoint! Really good lunch spot with great beers. I wish I took some photos but the star of the show was the goulash with Spatzle, it was so hearty and the meat was ridiculously tender and melts in your mouth. It’s just off center of Bad Cannstatt so tucked away and very peaceful location. Would definitely be coming back next time!!

Had Maultaschen with potato salad. The potato salad was okay, the Maultaschen were dripping with rancid-tasting fat and many were charred. I then put the “food” aside because I didn’t want an upset stomach as well.

A vegetarian meal for a whopping €21.90, plus a bottle of beer for €4.60 - somewhere the fun with the prices ends. I won't come a second time.

Essen ok, etwas lieblos, preislich überteuert, Speisekarte ist versifft, Kellner könnte mal ein bisschen Tempo machen.

The menus are sticky and look like they were created with a cheap photocopier. The waiter was friendly, but speed is not the core competency. Maultaschen salad takes almost 30 minutes, so the beer is super quick at 15 minutes - at least in proportion. 19 euros for the salad given the lack of love, disproportionate. By the way, there was no bread with the salad as mentioned on the menu. Conclusion: actually a nice place, but there is a lack of planning, professionalism and love for the job.

Ate here during lunch break. Even though we only chose dishes from the lunch menu, it took almost 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Too long for a few schnitzels with potato salad. Schnitzel was okay, potato salad was unseasoned. €12 per dish feels disproportionately high.

Old Swabian inn with excellent cuisine

Great, rustic location with really good food and great, very friendly staff. We're not from Stuttgart, but when we're there, a visit to the saddlery is always part of it. It's nice that there are still such traditional restaurants.

We arrived here on a sunny Sunday (after the birthday boat trip on the Neckar with 25 guests was spontaneously canceled due to a booking error) where a table was put together for us in no time and a delicious meal was served to us, so that in the end no wish was left unfulfilled and no one cried after the boat trip . The food is very good across the board, and the wine selection was great, but a special mention deserves the really great staff, especially waiter Vincent, who was able to win everyone over from the start with a lot of humor and charm. You saved us this Sunday and made 25 friends, thank you again for everything. Unreservedly recommended!

Very good restaurant with outdoor seating. The location is centrally located in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt in the pedestrian zone. Very cozy and not overcrowded. The food is very good. We had schnitzel, spaetzle and gravy, along with a deliciously dressed leaf salad. The food is really very good. We'll be back.

Very poor value for money. Extremely expensive for a miserable meal. Very greasy, schnitzel made in the deep fryer. Sauce was a packet of shish kebab sauce with a lot of glutamate. Service very unkempt. Never again!

Wir kamen an einem Sonntagnachmittag, also gastronmisch gesehen sehr ungünstigen Zeit, in die "Sattlerei" in Bad Cannstatt. Die hatten wir uns rausgesucht wegen der typischen schwäbischen Küche. Unsere Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt! Die Getränke waren schnell serviert. Die umfangreiche, schwäbische Speisekarte machte uns die Auswahl schwer. Wir nahmen sehr unterschiedliche Gerichte. Alles, was serviert wurde, sah gut aus, schmeckte und entsprach voll unseren Erwartungen. Unter den Schirmen am Platzrand sitzt man gut. Die Preise fanden wir angemessen. Da gehen wir sicher wieder hin!

Mixed experience in the Restaurant Zur Sattlerei Sattlerei The food in the Zur Sattlerei restaurant tasted great, but there was confusion about the side dishes. Instead of fries, spaetzle was served with every dish, which was disappointing for the children. The service was average, but the distinct smell of smoke and alcohol was annoying. Inappropriate behavior from staff, particularly petting a girl multiple times, marred the experience. When we asked for this to stop, inappropriate comments were made. Additionally, the facility wasn't particularly child-friendly, and repeated power outages meant we had to eat in the dark. A mixed experience with room for improvement.

Very nice, clean & cozy restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, the food (onion roast + home-made plum cake with ice cream) was terrific! Rarely have I been as satisfied as at Zur Sattlerei in Bad Cannstatt. Always happy.

Roast roast was tender as butter but also expensive at €32.90. Plus purchased spaetzle and sauce. It's a shame, because the location is really cozy and quaint.

Food tasted like warmed up frozen food. Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a completely hidden table in a rancid side room. The ambience was terrible and the food was completely overpriced for what it was. The staff was also extremely unsympathetic. Never again.

Quaint pub in Cannstatt. We only ate a little something but it was very tasty. Service friendly and helpful.

We were there for dinner. Sausage salad with fried potatoes. The quality of the components (sausage, cheese, onions, salad) was good. Unfortunately served very carelessly. Cheese coarsely and in blocks, onions too. Price/performance is not right.

Gutes deutsches Essen Ambiente ist schön urig innen drin mit so Altholz verkleidet. Wie der Name schon, sagt Sattlerei, sind auch viele Merkmale von Reithof als Dekoration hinterlegt eine gemütliche Gaststätte.

After my visit I would give it 3.5 real stars. *** First the positive: The service and waitresses are very friendly and accommodating. There were two of us and we got a table immediately (spontaneously and without reservation). The Lokas was not too sparsely attended at the time. The menu is extensive. You'll definitely find what you're looking for here. *** Unfortunately, there are now also a few negative things: In my opinion, the prices quoted are too high in relation to what you get for it. The prices are justified, among other things, by increased costs for staff and VAT, which I fundamentally understand, but other restaurateurs offer better or equivalent quality for permanently cheaper prices than here. Except for starters or desserts, it is very difficult to find a meal for less than €18 per person. (without drinks). In this case we are talking about sausage salad with bread. Even “simple” salads sometimes cost over €20. The argument with VAT or personnel is more difficult... I find it irritating that there is a lunch menu where you can eat for around €12 per dish/person. Are the operating costs actually much higher in the evening? This remains doubtful and, in my opinion, contradicts the price argument... This interesting style and pricing continues in the menu: there are dishes for children. Great in itself. However, the map clearly states (with an exclamation mark) that this ONLY applies to children up to 12 years old. The same applies to seniors. There is also a separate menu here, but again with an exclamation mark for people aged 60+ and the note “smaller portions”. As a “normal” guest, I understand this: “Even if you're not very hungry, you have to buy the full, large portion at the normal price. You have no other chance.” I think hunger or the size of your stomach have nothing to do with age. Here you should think about whether you would rather serve an over-60 dish to a guest under 60 because they are less hungry or even want to spend less before nothing is sold. We were about to leave because of the prices and the design of the menu. *** Now let’s talk about food: The food itself was ok, but not outstanding or surprisingly good. The portion of sausage salad was actually too big, the senior plate might have been enough, but given the price: it's better to stuff it than throw it away. In my opinion, unfortunately it is not enough for a second visit.

Despite the space, you are not welcome in the room with a stroller and should please sit outside in the tent in front of it. We then spent our money in Stuttgart-Mitte.

Wir waren zur Weihnachtsfeier in der Sattlerei. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Nette Bedienung, gemütliches Ambiente, leckeres Essen vor allem große Portionen. Wir kommen sicherlich nochmals, das war nicht das letzte Mal.

Leider für uns enttäuschend 😞 Preislich zu teuer Für Maultaschen mit Käse überbacken und Kartoffelsalat. Mal was anderes essen war geschmacklich ok. Irgendwie war man nicht wirklich willkommen Bestellen essen bezahlen Keine Nachfrage nach Getränke oder ähnliches Auch wen der nette Herr mehrmals an den Tischen nebenan war. Kein Blick Der Tresen war wichtiger und die Kasse Auch bei mehrmaligen anzudeuten keine Reaktion. Die Dame hatte Dann abkassiert und gut. Schade 😔

Hier hat alles von Anfang bis Ende gepasst. Reservierung per Email sofort bestätigt. Wir sind etwas früher eingetroffen und das was kein Problem. Die Servicekräfte absolut mehr als zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Gerichte waren auch top !! Sonderwünsche sehr freundlich umgesetzt. Wir sind etwas länger verweilt als vorgesehen. Wir können nur 5 Sterne vergeben.

Schönes altes schwäbisches Restaurant mit nettem Außenbereich. Essen ist gut v.a. Mittagstisch.

Fitness Salat war in Ordnung. Kein Brot, keine Pfeffermühle, konnte kein zweites Getränk bestellen, Bedingungen war nicht zugegen !!!

Durch Zufall haben wir diese Gaststätte beim Abendspaziergang entdeckt. Wir erwischten sogar noch einen freien Tisch draußen. Wir wurden gleich freundlich von der Kellnerin begrüßt. Unser Essen kam zügig und hat gut geschmeckt. Ich selber hatte Putenschnitzel in Kruste mit Kartoffel- und gemischtem Salat.

Klasse schwäbisches Restaurant. 1a Rostbraten, leider bisschen zu wenig Spätzle. Service und Ambiente lassen nicht zu wünschen übrig. Wer gut schwäbisch Essen gehen will ist hier genau richtig. Jederzeit wieder!

An einem sonnigen Sonntag sind wir zum Abendessen zur Sattlerei gegangen. Draußen hingesetzt kam auch sofort schon ein Kellner mit der Karte. Die Preise außerhalb der Wochenkarte sind definitiv etwas höheres Preissegment, der Maultaschensalat für 16,90€ und das Cordon Bleu für 22,90€ ist nichts für jeden Tag. Das Essen war sehr lecker, für einen Sonntag im August war es angenehm voll.

Wir waren erst in der Wilhelma und haben dann sehr gut hier gegessen zum Abschluss unseres Ausfluges. Es war sehr lecker und reichlich.
