Very tasty food and absolutely recommended before visiting the Globe in Coburg

Very tasty sauerbraten. Rich and very well prepared. The sauce is amazing! I highly recommend the red cabbage! The dumplings are soft, like Thuringian dumplings. But delicious. The price is right👍

Very good inn with regional cuisine The kitchen offers many regional dishes. The food was very good. The chef knows his craft. Changing the side dishes was no problem, so we were able to try the Coburger Rutscher (spicy Coburg sauté pancakes). The service is very friendly and worked well despite the full dining room. The ambiance is rustic and very cozy. The price/performance ratio is reasonable. We had a lovely evening here and can recommend this inn.

A very nice, elegant and quaint restaurant. Good value for money for Coburg city center, not overpriced. Excellent, friendly, and courteous service. Nice selection of traditional dishes, as well as refined and vegan options. Good quality for the price. I'd be happy to return, as there aren't many good German restaurants in the city center. The cozy atmosphere makes guests want to linger.

It's really a nice atmosphere, cool decor and good music. There are many beers, wines and cocktails to choose from. There are only a few “real” dishes but there is definitely something for everyone. Steak, ribs, chicken with salad and something vegetarian in large portions at good to affordable prices, especially given the location. There are also various snacks and appetizers. Baguette, cheese bites, salami cubes, olives or all together as a snack plate, actually a whole meal. Perfect when you're drinking a few beers with the boys and you're hungry and also when you just want to eat and drink delicious food as a couple. We were there with our 6 month old and were really very satisfied. The staff was also extremely courteous and always present. Hot water to warm up the porridge for our little one was of course no problem. But even so, you were always well looked after and never had to wait long for service and the food came very quickly.
