The staff were super friendly. The food was absolutely fantastic 😋 and, above all, plentiful 👍. I had chicken breast (2 pieces) Bombay with rice and a side salad. My husband had plaice (3 fillets!) "Finkenwerder" with plenty of crab (you could easily have made 3 crab rolls with that!). It was so good that we're going back again tomorrow 😋

We were there yesterday and had schnitzel, which I won't be doing again. The schnitzel was very greasy, which suggests it was deep-fried. For that price, I was expecting a pan-fried schnitzel and maybe a small side salad, not just a wavy lettuce leaf and lemon and orange slices. In my opinion, it wasn't value for money.

We came straight here from the swimming pool. We actually thought we were going to have typical fish. There's plenty of that on the menu. But then we found the even more typical kale on the menu. It was excellent! A huge compliment for that. There was plenty of it, too. The service was super friendly, fast, and everything came at the same time (not as common these days as you might think). All requests were met quickly and in a friendly manner. It couldn't be better. We'd happily come back!

On our day trip to Norddeich, we were looking for a nice dog-friendly restaurant. We found what we were looking for here. Despite the fact that the waitresses themselves...have/have had great respect for dogs. Our food arrived quickly, not from a deep fryer, but deliciously fresh. The fried potatoes were incredibly delicious. The meat and fish were also very tasty. The portions were generous, and the prices for the dishes were absolutely reasonable, despite being a tourist hotspot. We'll be happy to stop there again if we're ever in Norddeich again.

We stopped there for dinner expecting a good meal and were not disappointed. The plaice, pollock, and Wiener Schnitzel were all delicious. The food arrived quickly, and the service was good.

We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. and asked for a seat for two adults and two children. The front area was already quite busy, and they still had a few reserved tables. Nevertheless, we managed to find a seat. The food was fresh and homemade. It was delicious. The service was attentive. We would come back.

Unfortunately, the staff were very unfriendly. Even though it was raining, we were asked to leave with two babies in strollers, even though we were already seated, because we were taking up too much space. There were seven empty tables around us, though.

We visited Norddeich today with our dog. We weren't familiar with this restaurant, but we were pleasantly surprised. Friendly service, generous portions on every plate. My steak was very tough and the fries quite hard; the herring and beans with bacon were very good, but the fried potatoes were very dark. €21.00 per dish was a bit too high. What a pity...

We went there and had plaice in an egg shell with fried potatoes three times. The plaice didn't taste fresh, and the fried potatoes were greasy. The fish, too, was completely overcooked. After the meal, all three of us had terrible stomach problems, which is something no one needs on vacation. On top of that, it was the most expensive restaurant in the area. Whether fish, meat, or veggie, there's something for everyone. From the outside, you wouldn't believe the galley could serve such a culinary highlight, but the first bite shows that you're dining with a hidden star of fine dining. And the value for money: Absolutely TOP... you won't just be full, you'll truly be FULL!! So: a definite recommendation, and don't be fooled by the exterior!

The restaurant itself is larger than you initially think upon entering and has a cozy interior. The staff was friendly and very attentive. You can pay by card or cash.

We sat outside on the sidewalk, which is perfectly manageable with our elderly guests; it wasn't too loud and there wasn't too much traffic. Our comment about the salty food was taken very seriously and was likely passed on to the kitchen.

The fish was perfect. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, on my second visit, I ordered chicken strips with green tagliatelle. Three hours later, I had diarrhea. The sauce was weird.

There were five of us and we weren't allowed to put two tables together. The staff was very unfriendly. The food wasn't great either. When we didn't leave a tip, the waitress just snapped and said she almost expected it.

We bought two schnitzels "Foresterinnen" (forester's wife) with fries to take to the RV park this afternoon. The schnitzel sauce tasted like a poorly prepared sauce that drowned the schnitzel in oil. The fries weren't exactly a hit either. Conclusion: The price is okay if the quality is good, but we found this worse than the food at some amusement parks. For us, it was a one-off and never again, as we're not big on stomach aches. 1

We ate there on Wednesday; it was delicious. We can highly recommend it; it was just a stone's throw from our holiday home.

The food was very tasty, albeit quite greasy. You get a generous portion and are definitely full. The service was okay. There was one young waiter who was still quite clumsy, but the other waiters were much friendlier and more attentive. A good place to eat.

Very nice waitress and waiter! The food was delicious and the portions were large enough to fill you up. Reservations aren't absolutely necessary, which is definitely a plus for me as a vacationer. We've been there several times at different times, and I can't complain. Fun fact: if you order a Bommerlunder, you have to sing the song 😁 Another plus point. The ambiance isn't the nicest by comparison, but that's not really important to me anyway. The main thing is that the food is tasty and the staff is friendly, and that's definitely the case, so I'd be happy to come back on my next vacation!

Thick black long hair in the food!!!! My husband and I went there for dinner. We both had a schnitzel with a separate mushroom sauce. There was a long black hair under my schnitzel. I let the food go back and got a “new” plate about 10 minutes later. The schnitzel was streaked with fat and this time it was fried far too dark. The sauce that was in a separate container was not exchanged. It was standing cold at the table. Unfortunately there was no meal together with my husband. They didn't accommodate us in terms of price either. Generally overpriced for what is on the menu. The atmosphere wasn't comfortable or inviting either. No recommendation from us. It's a shame that there are no good restaurants in Norddeich anymore.

We left before we ordered. We weren't allowed to choose our table even though there was almost no audience present, it smelled musty and the staff was unfriendly.

Cocoa was made with real milk, something that isn't found in many restaurants these days. The service was nice and friendly. The food was so salty and oily that you lost your appetite immediately after the second bite and felt completely sick afterwards. Prices are way too overpriced.

Never again . Ordered a grill plate. Instead of fries we wanted fried potatoes. Surcharge without notice, €5. The meat is drowned in hollandaise sauce. I've never seen it on a grill plate. .About two tablespoons of a cheap store-bought sauce. I asked. A line of aperitif at the end was served in a cheap grain glass. We don't have line glasses. There are better chip shops than this place. Not a recommendation for me.

It is difficult to give an accurate rating because the quality and service depend very much on the employees working that day. Therefore, I gave it an average rating. On Sunday we had very good food and great service. On Monday, however, both were rather catastrophic. There were probably only temporary workers there. The food seemed pre-made so it just needed to be reheated. Since the food was unevenly warm or partly still cold, it can be assumed that the food was warmed up in the microwave. You don't have to go to a restaurant for something like that. The service was relatively unfriendly right from the start on Monday, so we weren't surprised that she didn't respond to our criticism in any way. Conclusion: if you're lucky "top", if you're unlucky "flop".

We have eaten here again and again on our vacations since 2023, with friends and family, and have been able to recommend it so far. Very tasty food, whether fish or meat. However, when we reserved a table a second time this holiday (for New Year's Day), we were very disappointed by the staff. Despite a reservation (it was written down in the reservation book), we were no longer able to get the reserved table due to a two (!!!!!) minute delay because it was otherwise occupied. Mistakes can happen, but the staff didn't even look for a solution (e.g.: "Wait, the next free table is yours", "Come back in about 30 minutes", etc.). On the contrary, no apology, just another reminder that we were two minutes late. Despite a reservation, we were not offered an alternative, absolutely not customer-friendly Thanks to this “great customer service” we have now gotten to know other great fish restaurants in Norddeich. We won't be coming here again.

We always eat fish there, very well prepared and tasty, large portions. The prices are in the upper range but are okay due to the quality. Now at this time of year, even without a reservation in the summer, it's better to come.

We (2 people) were there on November 6th, 2024. Our very positive experience from 2023 could not be confirmed again. Kellner had a very strange taste in music (rock). Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty this year. Fried potatoes too dark and schnitzel too fatty. The waiter preferred to play with his cell phone and wasn't that attentive.

It's not possible, dogs that are aggressive, whose owners are on a leash and the dog takes the lead, are simply out. Dogs that bark and bite do not belong in the restaurant. I have two Labradors myself, but they behave, it's just a question of training. I go to many restaurants and only when I leave the table do guests realize that there were two dogs near them. Never again. After a horror night with severe stomach cramps, I can only advise against going into the galley. I had the plaice with crabs. The first impression wasn't that bad, then after a first bite it was totally salty, at second glance I could see that there were hardly any crabs on the plate but only the cheapest bacon... unbelievable. There was only a spoonful of crab on it, the rest was just bacon. Look closely. Never again.

We have tried almost all the restaurants/snack bars but it tastes the best here. No matter what we tried, everything was delicious. Large portions and the prices are completely reasonable. We paid more elsewhere. The service is super nice and you don't have to wait long for your food.

Incredibly beautiful establishment, as a vegetarian I always have a bit of trouble finding something tasty to eat, especially if my companion wants to eat fish. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really surprised at how delicious the noodles I ordered were. We have known the restaurant for a long time and have always been satisfied. This time I ordered the “Uschi” fish plate with fried potatoes because I didn’t want any croquettes with it. I was then allowed to pay €2.50 more for the fat-dripping potatoes, but the plaice was as dry as the desert. My husband ordered herring (No. 62) and got onion fish (No. 72)!!! Of course we complained about this and were told that they would be happy to serve the matjes, which we supposedly hadn't ordered, and pack the onion fish. We politely declined and ate our meal. We refrained from tipping. That was it “Caboose”.

We often go to “Zur Kombüse” and find it absolutely delicious. It was now the best kale. Yes, prices have risen, but where haven't they? We like the front part of the restaurant, but the back is rather plain. We're going there again.
