We always eat fish there, very well prepared and tasty, large portions. The prices are in the upper range but are okay due to the quality. Now at this time of year, even without a reservation in the summer, it's better to come.

We (2 people) were there on November 6th, 2024. Our very positive experience from 2023 could not be confirmed again. Kellner had a very strange taste in music (rock). Unfortunately, the food wasn't tasty this year. Fried potatoes too dark and schnitzel too fatty. The waiter preferred to play with his cell phone and wasn't that attentive.

It's not possible, dogs that are aggressive, whose owners are on a leash and the dog takes the lead, are simply out. Dogs that bark and bite do not belong in the restaurant. I have two Labradors myself, but they behave, it's just a question of training. I go to many restaurants and only when I leave the table do guests realize that there were two dogs near them. Never again. After a horror night with severe stomach cramps, I can only advise against going into the galley. I had the plaice with crabs. The first impression wasn't that bad, then after a first bite it was totally salty, at second glance I could see that there were hardly any crabs on the plate but only the cheapest bacon... unbelievable. There was only a spoonful of crab on it, the rest was just bacon. Look closely. Never again.

We have tried almost all the restaurants/snack bars but it tastes the best here. No matter what we tried, everything was delicious. Large portions and the prices are completely reasonable. We paid more elsewhere. The service is super nice and you don't have to wait long for your food.

Incredibly beautiful establishment, as a vegetarian I always have a bit of trouble finding something tasty to eat, especially if my companion wants to eat fish. I wasn't expecting much, but I was really surprised at how delicious the noodles I ordered were. (Green ribbon noodles) The waitress was also very friendly, and all the other (3) people who were there with me were really very happy with their food.

Had lunch there after our visit to the seal station, having been lured by the smell of the food from the parking lot. There was still very little going on and we were quickly served and looked after. We have known the restaurant for a long time and have always been satisfied. This time I ordered the “Uschi” fish plate with fried potatoes because I didn’t want any croquettes with it. I was then allowed to pay €2.50 more for the fat-dripping potatoes, but the plaice was as dry as the desert. My husband ordered herring (No. 62) and got onion fish (No. 72)!!! Of course we complained about this and were told that they would be happy to serve the matjes, which we supposedly hadn't ordered, and pack the onion fish. We politely declined and ate our meal. We refrained from tipping. That was it “Caboose”.

We had dinner there yesterday. The service is not the fastest. The meatballs with paprika sauce and boiled potatoes were tasty. The Labskaus was too sweet for my wife and she could eat it. 2 fish dishes were ok. The fries with nuggets were also ok but at almost €100 we had to pay extra for the ketchup for the children. I didn't like that. We ate here again on Sunday. Although the service was now quicker, I had the impression that my dish of meatballs with fried eggs and fried potatoes had a slight fishy taste.

Ambience is very simple, but the name of the galley is the answer here. Not a posh place but honest and delicious food. We had the potato pancake with Matjes Hausfrau style and nuggets. Only the fries were purchased, even the nuggets were homemade. The quality was great, the taste was fantastic, the service was super friendly and with a wait of less than 15 minutes the food was ready quickly. We will come back :)

Another half potato would have been nice. The well-maintained toilet facilities should be noted here. We'll be happy to come back if there are four half potatoes.

Located right at the entrance to town, staff friendly, rather simple food, but fresh and homemade, which is unfortunately no longer the case everywhere in Norddeich. The Schnitzel Försterin in the picture is basically a Jägerschnitzel, flour-based sauce and a slightly pudding-like consistency. Definitely recommended for an occasional dinner on vacation.

Price/performance okay, you definitely got full. We had a schnitzel, crab soup and the Rösti with salmon. In addition to two drinks and a nightcap, we came to €31 per nose. That was great for that. And really recommended. Large selection of fish dishes. Schnitzel and co were homemade and the sauce was also homemade. Old and familiar, but still good for a cozy dinner. The service is an example for other restaurants.

Labskaus was very tasty. The rump steak was ordered medium rare and arrived completely cooked twice. After the steak was returned for the first time, we wanted to have a schnitzel as a replacement because the meat from the steak was not only completely cooked through but also of poor quality. We were denied this for the time being because the second steak was being remade and we were only supposed to try it a second time. The second steak was also completely done. In addition, the meat was very fatty, had a different color than beef and was also tough. The steak is definitely too expensive for this quality. Afterwards we got a Viennese style schnitzel. The schnitzel was okay but nothing special and tasted like frozen food. It wasn't worth the price. In addition, the waitress who served us handled the situation very unprofessionally.
