Very friendly service. Our questions were answered promptly. The food is always top-notch! I particularly enjoyed the Norddeich fish pan. I've rarely eaten such well-steamed fish and vegetables. Don't be fooled by the first appearance. Past the bar, the dining room is bright and inviting. Prices are fair and reasonable.

The food arrived faster than expected. It was delicious. We'd be happy to come back and definitely recommend it.

Bought 2 fish sandwiches to take on the go, for over €11. Absolutely unmotivated and careless, the roll was put down, salad was slapped on with bare hands, and a not so nice leaf was thrown back into the bucket, probably for the next guest. There is another way to be friendly. It's a shame, I'll buy somewhere else in the future.

The fish was delicious. The asparagus cream soup with crabs still needs to be refined.

We were there to eat in a small group... unfortunately the food was cold and there was no real response to complaints. Complete meals were also charged extra even though we only wanted a partial change in the dishes. After a long back and forth, 2 extra dishes were not charged. But the price/performance ratio is absolutely not right.

The service was extremely difficult to use, placing the order was a real struggle because they barely understood what we wanted. At such an expensive restaurant you expect good quality service and ambience. When our food came it was pretty cold for everyone and some of it wasn't as it was on the menu. When this was mentioned to the service, real discussions began and the waitress showed no insight whatsoever. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone, but everyone should form their own opinion. Unfortunately we were very disappointed and will avoid this restaurant from now on. The only plus point was the ambience, which of course doesn't make up for the rest.

The taste of the food was good, unfortunately 4 out of 5 meals came to the table cold. The staff is friendly, but there were difficulties communicating when ordering. After a complaint, warm food was served. Something was forgotten in one dish and was not returned even after a complaint was made. When we asked to adjust the bill slightly because we were full but the quality wasn't right, something was only waived after a lengthy discussion. Definitely not recommended for eating on site.

We only took a fish sandwich on hand. It was tasty and the price was right too.

Today we ate the “North Sea” fish platter, consisting of plaice, shag and sole, and were very satisfied. The portion was large and the price was very fair. Next time we will try the brataal… :)

Delicious fish snack. We got fish sandwiches from the window and then sat on the benches outside and ate. You can also order drinks or real dishes. There are also options for sitting inside. Staff nice, price not overpriced. Unfortunately, it is difficult to get a parking space right in front of the door and you have to get an extra ticket and pay for it. The policewoman runs up and down the street. But all the shopkeepers on the street can't do anything about it. But you have to pay extra for everything and on this street in particular you spend your money in the local shops.

We ate here today. The question when ordering was: “Fresh or normal”? Normal means TK or something similar. It was very loud and reminded us of a train station. We ate a "fresh" schnitzel. It was okay. Still, we don't have to go there again.

Eel & fish smokehouse Brak in Norddeich - A small but fine fish restaurant, everything was very clean. The menu is clearly laid out and offers something for every taste. Whether meat or fish, from eel to herring to sole, everything your heart desires The portions are plentiful and taste very good The service staff was very friendly and helpful The price-performance ratio is very good for the quality, as the portions are not exactly small. We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Freshly prepared food and very friendly staff

We ordered matjes in a roll… What we got looked like this. But the bun was a bad soft hamburger bun floppy. All together inedible... It's a shame, they probably want to save on the rolls in winter... definitely delicious without the rolls... so fish rolls are not recommended.

The potatoes were also allowed to swim in lots of fat on the plate. Instead of the pollack fillet we ordered, an indefinable fish arrived, inedible, with lots of bones in the supposed fillet. On the other plate were fries with lots of paprika powder on them. As well as fish fillet in 1a Iglo format. Despite complaining about the food and being told that there wasn't even the food we ordered... we had to pay the full price. Sorry…..absolutely not recommended……a lot of money wasted on nothing The star is only because you can't rate it otherwise

Fresh fish is super fried, even the potatoes with it are great. And then super nice service, what could you want😋. 2025 update: Unfortunately very much diminished. Fish fried to death and dry. Almost rotten. The friendliness of the service has also been lost. Too bad. We'll look for something else.

Plaice were almost just bones with little meat and had no taste. Salmon was bone dry and had absolutely no flavor

The fish sandwiches are really too expensive for the quality and taste. Tiny fish cake with a run-of-the-mill breading and the fried fish is dry and also covered in a crumbly breading. Both were simply warmed up in the microwave, nothing was freshly baked or fried. It tasted pretty good, but it wasn't a hit.

The food tastes quite good, but unfortunately a bit expensive. Unfortunately the tables are not kept clean. Someone should look more often.

Delicious fish dishes available in different sizes. Large restaurant over 2 floors. outdoor area. Toilet on the upper floor, therefore not for people with disabilities. No reservation possible. I'd love to come back.

I had the crab roll and didn't think it was all that great. I've eaten better in Emden and the surrounding area

Cheeky pricing policy with only average quality. A small example using a fried fish roll: for 6.50 euros you can get a naked milk roll with frozen fried fish. The waitress asked if it could be some tartar sauce. Of course she didn't mention that she would charge 1 euro extra for this. In the end, for 7.50 euros, it was still the milk roll. It's probably cheaper to buy and lasts longer. The drink prices are absolutely exorbitant. And the hot chocolate for over 5 euros doesn't even have milk in it; the guest probably likes to drink hot water with cocoa powder. No, definitely not again.

The fish sandwiches are the best in Norddeich. Anyone who claims otherwise has not been there yet.

We took kibbelinge with fries and fried fish with fried potatoes. The fried fish itself was a laughing stock in size. The breading was bigger. Fried potatoes, well. My husband had Kibbelinge with fries. Comment from my husband: Write the fries were good.

Very tasty food, crabs with egg great, platter of Störtebeker very plentiful and tasty 😋, gladly again.

Unfortunately, neither the fish nor the wine I had chosen was in stock. So I had to choose again. No other wine was recommended to me. The newly selected fish was well-cooked and therefore a bit dry and very crispy around the edges. It's a shame actually. We always go somewhere else and wanted to try something new and give another restaurant the chance to convince us. That didn't work

Food great, drinks very expensive.

Very friendly and clean, nicely decorated restaurant. The wait in November was short and the food was hot. The taste was average, only the sweet roll with the fish took a little getting used to, but it was ok.

We (2 people) had dinner on site on November 12th, 2024 around 5:30 p.m. We thought it was very tasty. The two employees were very friendly. We recommend it even in the off-season.

The fried fish for €5 was soggy, not freshly fried and didn't taste like anything

We have been coming to Norddeich for many years and have always happily returned here once or twice. Today we are a bit irritated. The fish plate was subterranean. Dripping with fat, oversalted, the fish has no taste. The complaint was totally ignored. No apology or at least a discount or something similar. And that as a regular guest. Very disappointing.

Lunch was good, fish was very good and tasty, but my roasted vegetables were a little too salty and the onions were fried. My husband was very happy with the boiled fish he ordered with boiled potatoes and mustard sauce. It wasn't our first time eating there, but this time it took longer to order, even though there were only four tables occupied. Nevertheless, we will definitely go there again.

Typical fish restaurant for this area. Like everywhere else these days, it's a bit too expensive. We'll have to live with that. Otherwise friendly staff. Food is good too.

Best fish sandwiches in Norddeich!

For lunch we got delicious fish sandwiches with rollmops (3.50 euros) and one with warm fried fish and tartar sauce. Plus 2 Störtebeckers 🍺. It was great to sit outside at the wooden tables.

Were there for consumption in October... I don't want to write about the restaurant... it's a fish stall with a take away area. Food was ok, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right. We paid €101 for food and one drink each for three people. Which is basically ok, but then the ambience has to be right. Not really comfortable and because there is a street sale, the door was always open...it felt like pike soup :-)..

The restaurant is run by Turks/Arabs. The staff was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. We had fried fish rolls. The fried fish was tk goods (or so it seemed to us) and the roll was a wobbly milk roll. If you want tartar sauce, which comes with a fried fish roll, you have to pay an extra one euro. And then there was only a teaspoon on it. Small cola at 4.10 euros is also way too expensive.

We ate there for the first time, before always “only” buying the delicious fish sandwiches. My husband and I were very satisfied. I had Kibelinge with jacket potatoes and my husband had Matjes with fried potatoes. Really highly recommended. Everything freshly prepared.

I ordered smoked mackerel from their own smokehouse. The fish was cold from the fridge with the wrong side dish. The fish was not tasty and difficult to digest. After a day I still have nausea and headaches. Not recommended!

Totally exorbitant prices for kibbelings that were supposedly made in-house! But they all looked the same and were rather below average. We'll never go there again.

It was very nice there, the food was very good, but the prices have increased a little more than last year. Which is not so significant in the other restaurants. You can eat very well there and get full.

We ordered fried fish in a roll. Unfortunately the fish was breaded frozen fillet which is quickly made lukewarm in the microwave. Absolutely ridiculous to sell something like that. Hence the bad rating. Not recommended!!!

Warning: really, really bad. Anyone who has even a little knowledge of good food will confirm this. Everything frozen, finished goods. Price performance is not right here at all. We ate a fish platter (25 euros per person). This was the cheapest frozen fish out of a bag, you can tell because all the pieces are the same size etc...

Rolls are a type of milk roll, the fried fish was very tasty, cost €5 + €0.50 for the tartar sauce. Unfortunately, the salad has really seen better days.

Large portion, food was hot, ok, we sat outside, direct view of the street. So the ambience was just a four. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't speak German very well, so we only got a four.

We were there once in October and the food was delicious. Now we were there in August. Unfortunately the food was very poor. The zander was done (very dry). My cod tasted better. Unfortunately, only tartar sauce was served with our dish. Our drinks were very expensive (usurious), half a liter of beer was €6.50 and bitter lemon 0.3 liters was €4.

It was okay, but the fried fish looked like a finished product and I had hoped for more in terms of taste from the advertised fish roll with home-smoked eel...

We would be happy to come back.

The restaurant doesn't deliver what it promises. The ambience was quite nice but the service was simply subpar... We didn't really know what we wanted to eat and asked the waiter to come back in 5 minutes. Less than 30 seconds later he was back at the table and asked again. This game was then repeated again... when the food came there was great disappointment, the fish fingers were frozen and the schnitzel was covered with a gooey bucket of sauce. I ate something like this at rest stops 20 years ago... We asked the waiter to suggest a fish dish without bones (yes, we know that there are always a few in it) but the one that came was full and you could see the bones right through the panada as they stuck out so much that the dish was reminiscent of a hedgehog. We will never see this restaurant again.

2024: After three years we were here again. Unfortunately it wasn't quite as good this time. After a few repetitions, the orders were brought to the table almost correctly. The fish platter was... expandable. For the price it could have been a piece of fish more. Salt and pepper or any other spices would have been great. A bit of a shame - especially because it was really great last time. 2021: Very pleasant atmosphere in a bright restaurant. The food was very, very good. Tried various dishes with several people and everyone was impressed. Personal highlight: the crab soup. Absolute recommendation! Prices overall reasonable.

Highly recommended! I can highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. The food is excellent and impresses with delicious flavors and fresh ingredients. In addition, the ambience is wonderfully designed so that you feel completely comfortable. A perfect place for a successful dining experience!

Unfortunately, the smoked eel in the stickiest roll ever was bad for both my companion and me. We had stomach pains for hours and I don't want to go into further detail... The waitress also coughed loudly and constantly and the prices were also spoiled (high); a real rip off.

My favorite fish sandwiches in Norddeich

Food was ok. The potato salad looked familiar, it tasted like something from a discount store. We thought it was way too expensive for what we had. The service was friendly, drinks and food came quickly. Card payment was not possible because the WiFi did not work.

I had stremella salmon in the roll. The roll itself was probably the cheapest thing you can buy in large quantities, but it was enough as a "package". The salmon was ok, so not one star. But I think it's cheeky to ask for an additional 50 cents for a dollop of sauce. The general price was not low at €5.80

We actually get our fish rolls here on every holiday, but today it was just bad, even one star is too much here, the service at the counter doesn't understand German, prices are overpriced, the salmon roll was inedible. We definitely won't go here again.

Unfortunately I don't recommend it. The fried fish in the roll looked like that of a large German frozen food manufacturer (square) The fried fish was heated in the microwave and packaged rather carelessly in rolls. In contrast to the fish, this was tasty. In my opinion, €5.50 was still too much.

Great food, at least the crispy haddock, very juicy! The best service in a long time!!!! We chose the spot on the street ourselves, the location doesn't offer much else...
