We took kibbelinge with fries and fried fish with fried potatoes. The fried fish itself was a laughing stock in size. The breading was bigger. Fried potatoes, well. My husband had Kibbelinge with fries. Comment from my husband: Write the fries were good.

Very tasty food, crabs with egg great, platter of Störtebeker very plentiful and tasty 😋, gladly again.

Unfortunately, neither the fish nor the wine I had chosen was in stock. So I had to choose again. No other wine was recommended to me. The newly selected fish was well-cooked and therefore a bit dry and very crispy around the edges. It's a shame actually. We always go somewhere else and wanted to try something new and give another restaurant the chance to convince us. That didn't work

Food great, drinks very expensive.

We (2 people) had dinner on site on November 12th, 2024 around 5:30 p.m. We thought it was very tasty. The two employees were very friendly. We recommend it even in the off-season.

Very friendly and clean, nicely decorated restaurant. The wait in November was short and the food was hot. The taste was average, only the sweet roll with the fish took a little getting used to, but it was ok.

The fried fish for €5 was soggy, not freshly fried and didn't taste like anything

We have been coming to Norddeich for many years and have always happily returned here once or twice. Today we are a bit irritated. The fish plate was subterranean. Dripping with fat, oversalted, the fish has no taste. The complaint was totally ignored. No apology or at least a discount or something similar. And that as a regular guest. Very disappointing.

Lunch was good, fish was very good and tasty, but my roasted vegetables were a little too salty and the onions were fried. My husband was very happy with the boiled fish he ordered with boiled potatoes and mustard sauce. It wasn't our first time eating there, but this time it took longer to order, even though there were only four tables occupied. Nevertheless, we will definitely go there again.

Typical fish restaurant for this area. Like everywhere else these days, it's a bit too expensive. We'll have to live with that. Otherwise friendly staff. Food is good too.

Best fish sandwiches in Norddeich!

For lunch we got delicious fish sandwiches with rollmops (3.50 euros) and one with warm fried fish and tartar sauce. Plus 2 Störtebeckers 🍺. It was great to sit outside at the wooden tables.

Were there for consumption in October... I don't want to write about the restaurant... it's a fish stall with a take away area. Food was ok, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right. We paid €101 for food and one drink each for three people. Which is basically ok, but then the ambience has to be right. Not really comfortable and because there is a street sale, the door was always open...it felt like pike soup :-)..

The restaurant is run by Turks/Arabs. The staff was super nice and friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. We had fried fish rolls. The fried fish was tk goods (or so it seemed to us) and the roll was a wobbly milk roll. If you want tartar sauce, which comes with a fried fish roll, you have to pay an extra one euro. And then there was only a teaspoon on it. Small cola at 4.10 euros is also way too expensive.

We ate there for the first time, before always “only” buying the delicious fish sandwiches. My husband and I were very satisfied. I had Kibelinge with jacket potatoes and my husband had Matjes with fried potatoes. Really highly recommended. Everything freshly prepared.

I ordered smoked mackerel from their own smokehouse. The fish was cold from the fridge with the wrong side dish. The fish was not tasty and difficult to digest. After a day I still have nausea and headaches. Not recommended!

We had the impression that there was no chef there because the dishes all looked and tasted like convenience foods. Price/performance is absolutely not right here.

Totally exorbitant prices for kibbelings that were supposedly made in-house! But they all looked the same and were rather below average. We'll never go there again.

It was very nice there, the food was very good, but the prices have increased a little more than last year. Which is not so significant in the other restaurants. You can eat very well there and get full.

We ordered fried fish in a roll. Unfortunately the fish was breaded frozen fillet which is quickly made lukewarm in the microwave. Absolutely ridiculous to sell something like that. Hence the bad rating. Not recommended!!!

Rolls are a type of milk roll, the fried fish was very tasty, cost €5 + €0.50 for the tartar sauce. Unfortunately, the salad has really seen better days.

Warning: really, really bad. Anyone who has even a little knowledge of good food will confirm this. Everything frozen, finished goods. Price performance is not right here at all. We ate a fish platter (25 euros per person). This was the cheapest frozen fish out of a bag, you can tell because all the pieces are the same size etc...

Large portion, food was hot, ok, we sat outside, direct view of the street. So the ambience was just a four. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't speak German very well, so we only got a four.

Very tasty food and friendly staff. The fish was very good and there were several types to choose from. There's definitely something for everyone, even if you're not a fan of fish. You also have a beautiful view of the shopping mile outside.

We were there once in October and the food was delicious. Now we were there in August. Unfortunately the food was very poor. The zander was done (very dry). My cod tasted better. Unfortunately, only tartar sauce was served with our dish. Our drinks were very expensive (usurious), half a liter of beer was €6.50 and bitter lemon 0.3 liters was €4.

It was okay, but the fried fish looked like a finished product and I had hoped for more in terms of taste from the advertised fish roll with home-smoked eel...

We would be happy to come back.

The restaurant doesn't deliver what it promises. The ambience was quite nice but the service was simply subpar... We didn't really know what we wanted to eat and asked the waiter to come back in 5 minutes. Less than 30 seconds later he was back at the table and asked again. This game was then repeated again... when the food came there was great disappointment, the fish fingers were frozen and the schnitzel was covered with a gooey bucket of sauce. I ate something like this at rest stops 20 years ago... We asked the waiter to suggest a fish dish without bones (yes, we know that there are always a few in it) but the one that came was full and you could see the bones right through the panada as they stuck out so much that the dish was reminiscent of a hedgehog. We will never see this restaurant again.

2024: After three years we were here again. Unfortunately it wasn't quite as good this time. After a few repetitions, the orders were brought to the table almost correctly. The fish platter was... expandable. For the price it could have been a piece of fish more. Salt and pepper or any other spices would have been great. A bit of a shame - especially because it was really great last time. 2021: Very pleasant atmosphere in a bright restaurant. The food was very, very good. Tried various dishes with several people and everyone was impressed. Personal highlight: the crab soup. Absolute recommendation! Prices overall reasonable.

Unfortunately, the smoked eel in the stickiest roll ever was bad for both my companion and me. We had stomach pains for hours and I don't want to go into further detail... The waitress also coughed loudly and constantly and the prices were also spoiled (high); a real rip off.

Highly recommended! I can highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. The food is excellent and impresses with delicious flavors and fresh ingredients. In addition, the ambience is wonderfully designed so that you feel completely comfortable. A perfect place for a successful dining experience!

My favorite fish sandwiches in Norddeich

Food was ok. The potato salad looked familiar, it tasted like something from a discount store. We thought it was way too expensive for what we had. The service was friendly, drinks and food came quickly. Card payment was not possible because the WiFi did not work.

I had stremella salmon in the roll. The roll itself was probably the cheapest thing you can buy in large quantities, but it was enough as a "package". The salmon was ok, so not one star. But I think it's cheeky to ask for an additional 50 cents for a dollop of sauce. The general price was not low at €5.80

We actually get our fish rolls here on every holiday, but today it was just bad, even one star is too much here, the service at the counter doesn't understand German, prices are overpriced, the salmon roll was inedible. We definitely won't go here again.

Unfortunately I don't recommend it. The fried fish in the roll looked like that of a large German frozen food manufacturer (square) The fried fish was heated in the microwave and packaged rather carelessly in rolls. In contrast to the fish, this was tasty. In my opinion, €5.50 was still too much.

Great food, at least the crispy haddock, very juicy! The best service in a long time!!!! We chose the spot on the street ourselves, the location doesn't offer much else...

Kibbeling was unfortunately fried for too long, dark, rather dry. The taste was still ok, great fries. You can sit outside in the shade. Our service was quick and friendly.

As usual in a snack bar, the food apparently came from the deep fryer. There was no fish cutlery.

The fried fish rolls are an outrage. In the soggy milk roll you are given a frozen, pre-fried, microwave-warmed convenience fish like you would find at discount stores. If you then bite into it, it becomes even more disgusting. Before eating, because you don't throw anything away, a seagull luckily saved me, I pray that it's okay.

Rarely have I had such a bad herring roll. Matjes, some lettuce and cucumber in a milk roll. Not edible, went in the trash.

The cod was good. The fried potatoes were mostly black. Inedible

Unfortunately, I found the food really terrible to disgusting and every cent really hurt me. Salad dressing didn't taste like anything other than sweet, the schnitzel didn't taste like schnitzel, but like an over-salted, dead-fried something with a lukewarm, disgusting-tasting, pudding-like canned mushroom sauce (really horrible!!!!). I don't know when I've ever eaten so badly and paid so much for it... Never again!!!

Today we decided to have lunch at the Störtebeker restaurant. Unfortunately! We ordered the Norddeicher fish pan. This was a very poor choice in terms of taste and quality. The vegetables were frozen goods (a no go) but not mentioned on the menu and, like the fish, were only steamed in water. We really missed spices. There was also a slice of toast? and 4 slices of bland boiled potatoes with a tiny bowl of dip. All in all, not nearly what the card promises. Price - performance grade 5- And then a real rip-off with the drinks, a large and a small apple spritzer for €10.40

Shrimp and fried fish rolls in limp brioche, fried fish is warmed up in the microwave. Size rip-off: crab rolls just under €15! It's better to walk a few meters further and you can get the whole thing good and tasty for half the price

Full marks in all areas for the Störtebeker restaurant. The ambience is very moody and appealing. The dishes were super tasty and we were very impressed. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. Gladly again.

We ate asparagus three times for 15.90, - taste was ok, but with young potatoes the size of a pigeon egg and three pieces. With 380 grams of asparagus I don't expect a huge amount but that you still have to save money on the potatoes and they aren't even peeled, well... And half a liter of Diet Coke for 5.90, - water 0.7 liters 8.50, - etc

A super nice little fish restaurant, with the option to sit inside and outside and enjoy the food. There is a food menu on site. Everything very clean. And the staff is very friendly and competent.

Butterfish in a soft (hamburger) bun drowned in tartar sauce. In the fillet there are three large bones. My stomach was a bit “irritated” afterwards. I won't go there again and can only advise against the snack.

Unfortunately not as good as in recent years. Kibbeling comes in two versions. Unfortunately, the expensive “Dutch homemade” one wasn’t worth it. And strangely enough, you can only order them separately from the fish sandwiches inside, even though it was also available to take away.

Had on May 3rd. In the evening a table was reserved for 3 people with a wheelchair user. When I asked if this would be possible, I was told that this would not be a problem. When we arrived the restaurant was very busy. The table that was assigned to us was in the far corner and some guests had to get up before we reached our table. Same when leaving the restaurant.

No star would be better, but unfortunately that's not possible. Service and food catastrophic.

There are very tasty crab rolls here (€13.50, but very generously topped), the roll with fish cake was also very good.

Kipperlings for over 20.00 euros were like they had been warmed up for a short time. Wrong supplement. Kipperlings were joined by croquettes. The Kipperlinge was underneath everything. Actually too bad for the seagulls. We regenerated ourselves with Swedish herbs.

Super tasty fish rolls - perhaps the best fish rolls we have ever eaten. We were in Norddeich for 3 days and ate here 3 times. The stremella salmon is particularly recommended.

There were three of us, quite disappointed. At first glance, the guest room was modern and newly furnished, but after sitting down it was quite cold, the door to the toilets was open for a long time, the food was clearly too expensive (stremel salmon rolls were a good 9 EUR!), the side dishes were very mixed (roasted vegetables a bit oily, but tasty, green salad just iceberg, vinegar/oil dressing more like a water soup....). A pity!

The food alone tasted very good, You cant complain! Accordingly, it was also relatively expensive. But it was worth it. However, the room was quite full and not big enough. That's why it was quite loud and you almost had to scream to have a conversation. The service was still nice and the food was really delicious!

We ordered fish sandwiches to take away. These were plentiful and really tasty. However, the gentleman behind the serving window was somehow overwhelmed, didn't know whether tartar sauce was supposed to be on it or not, so a colleague had to step in. You might find it petty now, but I would have wished that gloves had been worn during the preparation, after all he also collected money with the hand he held our rolls with.

So delicious! Our favorite restaurant in Norddeich. The fish sandwiches are also amazing.
