We like to be there during the bike tour

We have returned with our visitor from the far north. Everyone was friendly and attentive - just as we know and appreciate it. We were all thrilled and the crispy knuckle was always brilliant. Thank you and we'll see each other again very soon. Sure, there's no denying the airport, but I think the team makes up for it.

Jägerschnitzel. Food was good, service too. That's how it should be. Good location to watch planes taking off and landing. Gladly again!

Very nice restaurant in a rustic style with a large beer garden. The home-style menu offers something for everyone (including tarte flambée, schnitzel, salads, but also changing vegetable dishes depending on the season), the prices are fair and the portions are anything but small! The service is friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. I'd love to come back!

Incredible portions, you get something for the price

Tasty, good food with a good price-performance ratio; large parking lot. Sitting outside in the sunshine puts you in a good mood. It's also cozy inside the dining room in winter.

The old pottery has had some price increases. There were already different prices on the website for the menu and the daily menu. The prices in the restaurant were even higher. The service was very courteous and friendly. It is a bit chilly in the restaurant in winter, which is compensated for with additional electric heaters. The food was good. The fries with the schnitzel were well fried (four stars), the schnitzel and the gypsy sauce were good (four stars). The side salad was fresh and very tasty (five stars).

Worth a recommendation as well as a visit, especially in summer. The beer is delicious and the goulash is great too. Nice atmosphere. Nice here.

I was there with a friend and wanted to treat myself to a steak. Unfortunately, it came completely undercooked and was far too dry. A new one was quickly made for me, which was fried well, but it seemed as if a piece had been cut off and the fried potatoes were thrown back into the pan and came back with black onions and potatoes. There was also no substitute for the herb butter offered. Not good for me.

It was the 10th anniversary with DJ, and Eat kale as much as you want. Outside, dancing and social gatherings under patio heaters. A really successful evening with the participation of very, very nice staff.

We were there today, October 31st, 2024, for a free kale meal with Mettwurst. At first I thought it was a joke. Everyone only had to order 1 drink. The kale with Mettwurst was super delicious. We had a delicious meal there as a group today. The portions were great. Service friendly and quick.

Positive: The service staff were extremely friendly and understanding, hence the 5 stars! Negative: We drove almost 60 km because, according to the menu on the homepage, there should be liver dumplings there. Then the disillusionment arrived. We were presented with a completely different map. When we asked why there were other dishes on this menu, we were told that the menu on the homepage was outdated and no longer valid. We then left. If you already offer a menu online, then it should be up to date! We were really very disappointed and will not come again.

It was my first time there, but I already know it will be the last time. For someone who doesn't eat meat, there is no choice of dishes. I decided to at least eat some salad and thought about what could be wrong. It turned out that it looked beautiful from the outside, but underneath there was old lettuce from the day before or a large salad lying around. I looked at other dishes spread out on other tables. The dishes were very large, but didn't whet your appetite. I think the prices are excessive. The service also leaves something to be desired as I have to ask for clean glass. I rarely leave such negative reviews but this time I have to. I don't share my friends' opinion, for me it's the quality of the food that counts, not the quantity. After all, I am paying for it and have the right to demand it.

We ate a delicious schnitzel after we had just landed at Düsseldorf airport. Very friendly service, a large portion of food for an affordable price. It was great to relax on the large terrace.

The food is as you would expect in a restaurant like this: good, hearty, umami and simply delicious. We had various schnitzels of veal and pork with and without sauces (hunter, gypsy) and shredded beef. Everything was really delicious. The ambience is generally great, but you can already see the rivets of the planes flying over it, for example, because they take off so low here.

Lovingly kept beer garden. It was our wedding anniversary today and we thought we would go out to dinner. My husband's food was good. I didn't think mine was good value for money. Fill the plate with salad. The waitress preferred to smoke. The glass was cracked. Wanted to say that and order a second round. We paid instead. The service can be expanded. I know the staff is hard to come by.

The ambience and the beautiful, well-kept beer garden invite you to linger, even if the Alte Töpferei is in the flight path from Düsseldorf Airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and quick, so you don't have to wait long for your order. The menu is manageable and offers something for every taste. The quality of the food is impeccable. The portions are large enough, but maybe a little more expensive. Gladly again.

Düsseldorf lifestyle under the departing traffic of Düsseldorf Airport. Sitting outside can get on the nerves of noise-sensitive people - but the delicious food makes up for it. Rhenish humor and Düsseldorf hospitality prevail inside and outside.

Goulash was sour and not good at all, schnitzel was good, but the fries were just as hard, half-finished... we couldn't eat the goulash at all... prices for the European Championships were high, everything was more expensive than on the internet... yes awkward

Service and ambience were top, unfortunately the food was a total flop. 5 dishes, unfortunately all not good and expensive. It's a shame, we would have liked to come back but it has to taste good. Unfortunately there was no compensation for the food that was returned or coffee was offered.

We just came back from eating there and the food was LECKER! We didn’t know what to eat because we speak just a little bit of German and the waiter helped us decide what food to order. Thank you because it was delicious! I especially liked that a few dogs were there, well behaved and calm. It was a great experience. I am very happy with the service as well!

Where should I start Veal schnitzel was tough, fried potatoes were burnt and cold for the price it was a complete rip off!!! I will never enter this store again. The only bright spot was the service but unfortunately not good enough to make up for the bad evening!!!!

There is a super nice and pleasant atmosphere in the summer months with 3 outdoor terraces and a small playground. Ideal for parents with children, win win moment. The staff always tries hard to make the guest happy. The food is good middle-class cuisine, prices are upscale. In the winter months it is nice and rustic inside, also pleasant. Haven't seen such good staff in a long time...

I went to Zur Alten Töpferei based on all the good reviews and I was truly impressed. I called in advance to make a booking, arrived early and Patrick led me to my table, with a personalised sign to confirm it was reserved. I chose a mixed German ‘antipasti’ platter - highlight for me was a fried piece of blutwurst with a crisp coating - utterly delicious. Next was the biggest serving of Schweinshaxe, glorious in its crackling and served on potato puree and sauerkraut. The (onion?) gravy it came with was perfect. Finally it was time for apfelstrudel with the most delicate vanilla sauce that matched it beautifully. All this was washed down with the restaurant’s own beer, Gulasch Alt, one of the best alt beers I have tasted, which matched the warm hearty flavours of the starter and main course. Finally, a digestif, the local killepitsch. Truly a five star service from start to finish, service was flawless and friendly, plates were removed without me noticing. No trip to Lohausen should be done without a visit to Zur Alten Töpferei.

Guys, what's wrong with you? There were 7 of our selected dishes on the menu! Dishes not available, and it wasn't 10 p.m., the plates were ice cold when we were handed them, so of course the food was cold in no time, the food itself was good! After we told the waitress, the answer was that she was just distributing the food and couldn't do anything about it and that she would pass it on to the kitchen and anyway we could have said that sooner. true, but the manner is disrespectful! Drinks are also forgotten! Why are the tables so close together? When you put on the jackets you almost have your hand in the food with another guest. A high noise level makes it almost impossible to understand each other. As a GUEST I demand more commitment and friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, otherwise I might be better off going to a snack bar! Thanks for nothing...

Auf telefonischer Anfrage spontan ein Tisch zum Essen reserviert, alles sehr freundlich am Telefon. Gesagt, getan und zack auch da zum Essen gegen 14.00Uhr. Netter freundlicher Empfang, freie Platzwahl. Lokalität war nicht voll, alles überschaubar. Bedienung kam um Bestellung aufzunehmen, alles freundlich, Das weiße Sweatshirt war allerdings schon sehr schmutzig an den überlangen Ärmeln, wirkte schon etwas schmuddelig. Getränke erhalten. Nach etwas längerer Zeit, warum auch immer kam dann eine Linsensuppe als Vorspeise und ein Grünkohlteller mit Kassler. Die Portionen vom Teller schon überschaubar. Die Suppe leider ohne Fleischeinlage, in der Speisekarte stand mit Kassler und Würstchen. Suppe reklamiert. Leider kein gemeinsames Essen, es dauerte ewig bis die Suppe mit Fleisch wieder kam, aber auch erst auf Nachfrage. Suppe erhalten, mit Fleischeinlage, darunter auch grauer Speck, spricht nicht für Qualität. Der Grünkohl leider auch etwas versalzen, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Der bestellte Tapas Teller im Anschluss mit einer frischen und alten Frikadelle serviert, wahrscheinlich noch vom "Vortag". Das gesamte Personal wusselte umher und war mit dekorieren beschäftigt, auch während dem Essen am Tisch, war unnötig. Versprühte ein Hauch von Hektik. Wenn das Personal dann noch essnd kauend rum rennt, macht es keinen professionellen Eindruck. Eigentlich war ich im Vorfeld positiv gestimmt gewesen, aber es waren doch mehr negative Erfahrungen. Leider kann ich nicht mehr Sterne vergeben.

Gänseessen....und zwar Keule mit Knödel, Rotkohl und viel Gänsesauce. Im Anschluss ein leckeres Bratapfel mit Vanillesauce.

Mit einem Besuch in der "Alten Töpferei" entscheidet man sich nicht für einen Gourmet-Tempel, das sollte jedem klar sein. Dennoch liefert die Küche in der Regel eine gute Leistung ab. Freundlicher Service und das Ambiente tun ein Übriges. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis folgt leider dem allgemeinen Trend und ist sicher in Teilen ausgereizt.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, leider wurden die Extrabestellungen vergessen und man konnte die Streitgespräche in der Küche mithören, das war etwas unangenehm. Die Haxe war sehr lecker und reichlich. Meine Freundin hatte die Kalbsleber in Salbeibutter, die leider etwas zu durch war (war auch ein sehr dünnes Stück, da passiert das schnell). Das Kinderschnitzel war passend und günstig. Aber auch hier wurde die dazubestellte Sauce vergessen. Das Schokoküchlein war hammermässig. Das Ambiente ist urig und nett. Die Preise sind angemessen. Im Sommer kann man im Biergarten sitzen. Durch die Flughafennähe hört man natürlich die Flugzeuge.

Lecker Gulaschsuppe gegessen, Personal war sehr freundlich.
