Also das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt nicht .. der Preis ist ca. 30% zu hoch .. geschmacklich war die Roulade gut 👍.. gab aber kein Salat dazu .. Bratkartoffeln zu dunkel ...die nächsten zuviel Kümmel (an Bratkartoffeln) also für 3 Personen 85 € .. ist für die Portionen zuviel.

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute mal ein kleiner Restaurant-Tipp von mir! Wenn ihr mal Lust auf einen Städtetrip habt ist Weimar sicher keine schlechte Idee, und wenn ihr schon mal da seid, dann lasst es Euch im Siechenbräu gut schmecken! Was gab es heute? Zu trinken ein Heimathafen-Pils ohne Alkohol (schade...) aus der gleichnamigen Biermanufaktur aus Erfurt, wirklich ein leckeres Ding, und ein erfrischendes Bananenweizen, welches auch absolut empfehlenswert ist! Gericht Nummer eins war eine traditionelle Grützwurst mit hausgemachtem Kartoffelstampf und Apfelkompott für 17,90 Euro: - die Grützwurst war perfekt, schön klebrig, eine feine Specknote, der Kartoffelstampf mit einer tollen Butternote und das erfischend säuerliche Apfelkompott dazu, einfach gut! Gericht Nummer zwei, eine klassische Rinderroulade mit hausgemachtem Apfelrotkohl und Thüringer Klößen: - die Klöße waren top, auf den Punkt und hatten auch ne anständige Größe, die Roulade butterzart und das Rotkraut war wirklich sehr gut. Die Soße war aber der Renner, mit Liebe hausgemacht, eine wunderbare Note von Rotwein und obwohl schon reichlich auf dem Teller war, gab es ungefragt Nachschlag! In Summe waren wir satt und glücklich und empfehlen Euch unbedingt mal nen Besuch!

Zum Siechenbräu war unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Weimar. Man kann innen und außen speisen. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, urig. Die Gerichte, die wir uns ausgesucht haben, schmeckten alle hervorragend. Besonders die Thüringer Roulade ist hervorzuheben mit einer unglaublich leckeren Sauce! Und man sollte unbedingt das eigene Bier probieren! Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es lohnt sich wirklich die paar Meter vom Zentrum zu diesen Gasthaus zu laufen.

Wir 3 Pärchen waren sehr zufrieden. Gern wieder.

Wir waren zweimal "Siechenbräu" und waren jedesmal zufrieden. Besondere Erwähnung verdient die Orangen-Tomaten-Suppe, die uns beiden gut geschmeckt hat. Und anschließend haben wir noch das Rezept für diesen Leckerbissen erfahren. Empfehlenswertes Restaurant!

Vorweg: Im Berghain kommt man leichter rein! Dienstag um 20:00 Ujr diese Woche wollten wir gemütlich n Bier trinken. Das Siechenbräu wurde uns empfohlen. Also haben wir uns auf den Weg gemacht, um dann einen handschriftlich angefertigten Zettel an der Tür zu finden: "Heute geschlossen". Das hätte man ja mal locker bei Google Maps eintragen können aber naja. Wir kommen wieder. Heute ist Donnerstag. Versuch zwei. Es ist 20:00 Uhr. Wieder sind wir an der Tür gescheitert aber diesmal war der Grund etwas verwirrend...Ein Mann mit vollem Bier in der Hand sagt uns, dass er nur Gäste bedient, die reserviert haben. Das Restaurant war leer und diese Information gab es nirgendwo, sonst hätte ich sa ja vorher reserviert. Mir kommt es so vor, dass man uns nicht bedienen wollte, weil wir nicht essen wollten. Aber dann sollte man das auch so online werben. Weder auf deren Seite, sonst wo konnte ich diese Informationen finden. Das kam mir mega seltsam.

Wir kommen einmal im Jahr nach Weimar und kehren nur Zum Siechenbräu ein. Bestellen vorher den Tisch.Wie immer, schmeckte es uns hervorragend. Frisch und heiß zubereitet. Ein Gaumenschmaus. Typische Thüringer und Deutsche Küche...Bitte bleibt uns noch lange erhalten 🙏

Super traditionelles deutsches Essen, hervorragend. Bedienung umsichtig, unser Hund war willkommen und bekam unaufgefordert Wasser. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Tolles Restaurant mit unglaublich gutem Essen! Ich glaube, ich habe hier die besten Knödel gegessen die ich jemals hatte. Das Weimarer Zwiebelfleisch war ebenso sehr lecker! Besonders das „Siechn“ Bier muss man unbedingt probieren. Tatsächlich sollte na unbedingt reservieren und es ist zu beachten, dass hier nur Bargeld akzeptiert wird. Wir kommen gerne wieder wenn wir in Weimar sind.

Gemütliche Gaststube, wo man am besten reservieren sollte um einen Platz zu bekommen..die Nachfrage ist hoch, aber die Kapazitäten begrenzt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet... Ein Besuch wert mit traditioneller Thüringer Küche.

Wir waren zu viert in dieser urig-gemütlichen Gastwirtschaft. So lecker haben wir lange nicht mehr gegessen, so freundlich und zuvorkommend wurden wir lange nicht mehr bedient. Meine Tochter speist vegan. In der Speisekarte gibt es "nur" vegetarische Angebote, aber in sehr freundlicher Art wurde für meine Tochter ein sehr leckeres veganes Essen zubereitet.👍 Der freundliche Hinweis des Kellners, wenn wir wieder speisen möchten, einfach einige Tage vorher anrufen, dann würde man beim Einkauf extra etwas in dieser Richtung mitnehmen. Wir gehen öfter in Weimar in verschiedenen Restaurants essen, alle sehr freundlich und gut, ABER das Siechenbräu toppt sie im Moment alle. 👍 Vielen Herzlichen Dank an das Team! Freundliche Bedienung, essen aus guter moderner deutsche Küche und super Zubereitung, auch für Vegetarier was zu haben. Bei vollem Haus etwas mehr Zeit einplanen.

Geschmacklich perfekt und liebevoll garnierte regionale thüringische Küche. Sehr empfehlenswert sind die drei selbst gebrauten Biere mit feinen Hopfensorten und einem Braumeister der sein Handwerk liebt.

Wir gehen regelmäßig in ganz Weimar in unterschiedlichsten Lokalitäten Essen. Wenn es um Deutsche Küche geht würde ich das Siechenbräu ganz weit vorne wenn nicht an der Qualitativen und Geschmackliche Spitze verorten.

Heute hier gewesen, Total unfassbar unfreundliches Personal. Wurde einfach stehen gelassen. Leider kann keiner 0 Sterne vergeben.

Toller Service, historisches Ambiente. Leider kann man keine halben Sterne vergeben. Das hausgebraute Bier war phantastisch. Die Gulasch Portion hätte etwas größer ausfallen dürfen, wenn man schon auf der Karte den Verweis auf "großen Hunger" macht. Die Klöße gut, das Topping waren etwas harte Brotwürfel. Das Rotkohlgemüse ging nicht besser. Schön cremig und lange gekocht. Der Gulasch selber bestand aus 6 bis 7 Stücken, wovon eines etwas trocken war und ein Stück noch Kruste hatte wie vom Spießbraten. Hmmm da ist noch ein wenig Luft. Toller Kellner, der insgesamt die positive Grundstimmung hinterlassen hat.

I went there spontaneously with a friend on Saturday evening without a reservation. We were lucky and got two tables. The service was very friendly and the food and beer were absolutely delicious. We'll probably be back soon. Thank you!

Reservations are a must – cash only – that's all there is to it. The pictures in the reviews often show hearty dishes, but for us girls, there are also lighter options: 👉🏻 I had a tomato and orange soup: very spicy but incredibly delicious – for my main course, I had pan-fried potato dumplings with plenty of garlic and herb sour cream and a crisp salad: absolutely perfect 👍. It was our first time here today, but definitely not our last 😋 🙏!

A very good, traditional restaurant with generous portions, a quiet atmosphere, and genuine service (though their English is basic, so bring a translator). Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended.

We were there for the first time today... We had made a reservation, as there's practically no chance of getting a table without one! We were completely satisfied! I personally had the potato noodles, which weren't really to my taste, but that's a matter of personal preference! The Brussels sprouts on the next plate, however, were all the more delicious 😜

We were in Weimar for a short trip and chose this restaurant on the spur of the moment. Incredibly delicious cuisine, excellent food, friendly staff, and a fantastic atmosphere! Highly recommended for every visit.

A lovingly decorated and run culinary gem in Weimar. The food, drinks, and service were perfect. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the wait was very long; it took about 1.75 hours for the food to arrive. The food, as well as the cola beer, was very disappointing. Unfortunately, the roast had little resemblance to a roast; it was more like a schnitzel without any breading. The salad was very vinegary, and the rest of the food was covered in an extremely large amount of caraway seeds. Furthermore, the air quality was very poor, which didn't help with the long wait. Not worth a visit.

There were 8 of us at the restaurant. First of all, there was nothing wrong with the food; it was incredibly delicious. Compliments to the chef. However, one person is "allergic" to caraway, so he swapped the sauerkraut for red cabbage for an extra €1. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes also contained caraway, so the person sent the food back. This caused a roll of eyes. If someone swaps vegetables because of caraway, then it's obvious that they don't want caraway in their fried potatoes. Perhaps this could be noted on the menu. Just a tip... Unfortunately, the friendliness changed after that. The entire bill was thrown on our table without a word!!! No question about whether we were eating together or separately. The service was simply not good. You should also check how many people can actually fit at a table, as the tables were very narrow and more suitable for 6 than 8 people. We had a real hard time managing our legs and arms. The atmosphere was wonderful, the old inn beautifully decorated. The food was simply fantastic. Super delicious.

We were here on Saturday and were thrilled. Thanks to a reservation (recommended), we got a table right away. The welcome was warm, the wait was perfectly acceptable for the quality of the food, and both the staff and the chef had time for a chat! The restaurant is definitely recommended – the food is excellent, the home-brewed Siechn Hell is a delight, and the ambiance invites you to linger! We arrived without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. It's a positive to expect a wait. In fact, we didn't. The food was delicious: roulades with Thuringian dumplings, pork steak au four with homemade mashed potatoes, and goulash! Very attentive service! We'd be happy to come back on our next visit to Weimar.

The decision to visit a "traditional" restaurant and sample the regional cuisine, and especially the corresponding beers, was quickly made. Siechenbräu was right at the top of our agenda. And, especially encouraged by the typical negative reviews, which rightly represent only a fraction of the total, we absolutely wanted to go there. The landlord's responses here seem authentic and honest, and they turned out to be true. We enjoyed our stay, got a table at short notice, and received attentive, courteous, and prompt service. The food is very good. You definitely get authentic cuisine with fresh ingredients, and no convenience foods on your plate. It's a shame that this has to be mentioned separately these days. The brewery schnitzel we ordered here was super fresh and prepared with a special filling. The accompanying fried potatoes were prepared almost perfectly and perfectly matched. We really enjoyed our stay there. Many thanks to the landlord and his team, and all the best!

Anyone who appreciates truly good, honest cuisine has come to the right place. There's no convenience food here, just freshly prepared dishes. Because word has apparently gotten around, it's important to reserve a table in advance. We felt very comfortable; the restaurant is cozy, and the beer is delicious. If you're a schnapps connoisseur, you should definitely try the beer brandy.

The waiter rudely turned us away with the comment "There wasn't a free seat and you could see what was going on and you knew how things were going and there was an order book up front for reservations which you could look at and on top of that the boss was sick" Very unfriendly.

"There's nothing there," was the waiter's response when we wanted to sit outside... which I initially referred to our dog, and then asked again what "there isn't." They didn't have any staff, was the answer, and we should simply leave, we felt. No hello, sorry, or any other polite remark... Nice way to treat guests, thank you very much for that. The atmosphere was actually quite nice, but I can't say anything about the food.

Spectacular cuisine at unspectacular prices. Here you can finally eat like grandma used to make. Good, home-style cooking with cold, home-brewed beer. What more could you need?

Wir waren am 20. Dezember zum Abendessen in "Zum Siechenbräu". Wir haben das Restaurant ausgewählt, da wir lokale thüringische Küche probieren wollten. Selbst aus Franken kommend, mögen wir gutbürgerliche Küche mit Fleisch und Fisch. Zunächst das Wichtigste: Das Essen ist sehr lecker! Wir hatten Zwiebelfleisch & Gulasch - wir kochen beide selbst gerne und viel, aber so gut bekommen wir besagte Gerichte nicht zustande. Auch der Preis (pro Gericht 20,80 Euro) ist gut, da man eine sehr große Portion bekommt. Die Gaststätte liegt 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Herz der Innenstadt. Bei den Lokalen in der Stadtmitte sind die Preise deutlich höher und das Essen sah nicht so lecker aus wie hier. Der Service funktioniert sehr gut, wir haben keine 5 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet und das Essen kam nach etwa 20-25 Minuten - zwischendurch hatte uns der Kellner sogar Bescheid gegeben, dass das Essen "gleich fertig ist". Positiv ist uns ebenfalls aufgefallen, dass er sich zwischendurch erkundigt hat, ob wir noch genug zu trinken haben oder einen anderen Wunsch. Und alles, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war, der letzte Freitag Abend vor Weihnachten eben. Zum Ambiente - es ist gutbürgerlich (passend zum Essen), bequeme & bodenständige Einrichtung. Was uns auch aufgefallen ist - bei unserem Besuch waren viele Gäste Stammgäste. Zusammengefasst: Wer leckere gutbürgerliche Küche zu einem guten Preis in einem ruhigen Ambiente ohne lange Wartezeit essen möchte - wir können "Zum Siechnbräu" wärmstens empfehlen. Gaststätten dieser Güte würden wir uns überall in Deutschland wünschen!

How nice ! A “typical” inn in the style of a tavern. Crunchy, solid, rustic and not playful. Clean and well-kept guest rooms and wet rooms and, above all, no standing around elements à la “Favorite Place” or “Free Beer Tomorrow” Thank you. House beer brewed in Erfurt served cool and quickly at reasonable prices! It's fun to be thirsty and it's also a good way to drain your wallet... just have a drink while you wait for food. After exactly the time it takes for fried potatoes (perhaps a little more bacon) comes the second member of the group - the chef himself serves. Child-friendly but not too intrusive, we were able to get a smile... and that made our way home to the hotel perfect after an impressive Weimar day. Full and healthy at fair prices, there is well-organized catering here with no hidden costs, concepts or conditions! Thank you and see you soon!

Das Restaurant Zum Siechenbräu bietet eine beeindruckende Mischung aus innovativer Thüringer Hausmannskost und authentischen Brauspezialitäten. Besonders die drei Biersorten, die nach eigenem Rezept des Wirtes gebraut werden, sind ein Highlight – mein Favorit ist das Helle, aber es lohnt sich, alle drei zu probieren. We have eaten in this lovely restaurant several times. Always enjoy coming here. Everything is just right for me! Starting with the very nice waiter, his demeanor is courteous but not intrusive. The premises are clean as are the toilets, which is also important. You don't have to wait very long for the food. Everything on the menu corresponds to the price-performance ratio and tastes super delicious! Definitely 100% more recommended than good home cooking in Weimar!!!
