I haven't been there many times, but it's my favorite place, the atmosphere, the people and the service! I can only recommend it!

Unfortunately closed, the staff that was still reached wasn't very friendly, just a brusque answer, nothing waiter now. Despite a table reservation for my birthday.

This evening I had dinner here with my mom. As a vegetarian, my mother was a bit sad about the menu - the selection wasn't that big. But we simply asked and told the waiter our ideas. He brought in his own ideas and my mom was served a great autumn salad. The way he looked, she liked him too. I had the straw pig tomahawk. An interesting, hearty sauce went well with the tender pork. I had no problem getting my sweet potato fries. For dessert we shared a Kaiserschmarrn. The waiter was very nice and always there when you needed him. The tablecloth that I absolutely messed up was also skillfully ignored 😅 sorry for that. Finally, there was some discussion about cars and their origins. Really a great evening. Gladly again

The visit to the Seewirt on Thumsee was simply fantastic! 🌟 From the fantastic location by the lake to the delicious food – everything is just right here! We had the schnitzel and it was just incredibly delicious – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, exactly how it should be! 🍽️👌 The side dishes were fresh and perfectly balanced. The ambience right on Lake Thumsee is breathtaking. Whether inside or outside – you immediately feel comfortable and can enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. 🌿🏞️ The service was friendly and attentive, we felt completely at home. 😊 Thank you for the wonderful evening! The food was fantastic. I had the burger and my wife had tagliatelle with chicken strips in pumpkin sauce. Both were excellent and more than sufficient. At the end there was a Kaiserschmarrn. He was outstanding! We'll definitely be back.

We were welcomed very warmly and friendly. The food is more than 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+⭐️….. super tasty, large portion and the price is also completely reasonable. We come to Seewirt every year, they even have an autumn menu where you can eat your way up and down. Keep it up, it's fun to eat with you.

We chose this restaurant BEFORE our vacation so we could celebrate our wedding anniversary here with good food. Unfortunately, on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, after a nine-hour drive and with anticipation, we found ourselves standing in front of closed doors, even though the website said it was open *daily* from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m It's a shame - the website should be revised accordingly.

First we waited for a while until we were noticed. Then we ordered drinks and food, waited again... Then the food came, it wasn't bad. Then we wanted to pay, waited again... All in all, we were for one Food and a drink each for two and a half hours there!!? Then the bill, 81.10€.......We recalculated it again when we were driving home because it seemed strange to us (too late, unfortunately it was our own fault), the correct amount of the bill was about 62€!!!! And I...I also gave a €5 tip! Unfortunately I have to say, once and never again!

What could be nicer than being served culinary delights right on the lake in a beautiful landscape and with a really friendly service team. Food is a poem for the eyes, mouth and stomach. Our conclusion: you have to experience it.

Great views, clean water with lots of fish and green/forested landscape all around. But ATTENTION: all 3 (THREE!!!) parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant are only for disabled people - and it is so difficult to see (no floor markings) that only "normal" people park. I had a “warning” on the window with a fine of 55 euros - my most expensive restaurant visit! The “Swabenteller” is highly recommended, but the chanterelle cream soup is not.

The homepage is very misleading!! Long waiting time (1.5 hours) - understaffed? The "steak" was 3/4 pure fat hidden under a sea of ​​sauce. Dumplings with chanterelles lukewarm and def. Prepared with a high proportion of finished products. Unfortunately, I've rarely had such a bad meal in a restaurant. We won't forget this wedding anniversary dinner for a long time...

Do not go there. We waited for our food for 1,5 hours. EVERY table was served super, super late. The waitresses did not offer any compensation not on the price neither complimentary drinks or desserts. The fries were cold and stale and the meat in the burger was super overcooked.

The trout are really really good, you can really tell from the taste how fresh they are! On the terrace there is a really great view of the lake and you can even watch the relatives of the grill trout 😂 I can't understand the previous negative reviews regarding the service, they always tried to serve us attentively, even though there was a lot going on that day. Anyone who gives a smile gets one in return

Very beautiful spot on earth 🤩 wonderfully clear water with lively fish. There was a playground for the children, which can be clearly seen from the terrace. We were there as a family and not only found the view of the lake incredibly beautiful, but also the food. The children had the children's meals, which were very large and tasty. We have the goulash with spaetzle. We have rarely eaten such good goulash. 5 stars, fully deserved. Best address on Thumsee.

Great place to get away from the stress of Salzburg

One star for the great ambience - the two of us were just sitting on the great terrace right on the lake. Unfortunately we were ignored by the waitresses while the tables were being served. After almost 15 minutes we left after no more service staff came. When we left we found out that it was probably a smoking break for everyone, which was a shame.

Today, on July 20, 2024, I tried to get something to eat with my companion, unfortunately I've never seen such unfriendly service. She ignored us for an hour. Inside, they didn't respond either. It's a shame you come 290 km away and then it, will be remembered when you say you write an email and she just laughs. Just sick!!!

...you can't really go wrong with pork schnitzel with fries...the fries were tasty, the two schnitzels also looked good...but when you cut them... they were wafer-thin slices of meat that didn't even make a whole schnitzel when you put them together would. The breading was dripping with fat. My roast pork with 2 dumplings read very well on the menu... unfortunately it looked different in "Natura". The meat was tender, but there was no crust to speak of. The two dumplings together didn't even make a normal sized dumpling...The staff was very friendly. I gave myself photos...

Thumsee Wirt is simply a must when you are there! It couldn't be nicer! Unfortunately, with the new tenant, the quality and friendly service have lost, but prices have increased...

We were here today with 6 people for dinner and what can I say... all the food was tasteless. We had cheese spaetzle, schnitzel, cream chanterelles, Thumsee burger and beef fillet! The beef tenderloin was tough, overcooked and not a tenderloin in my opinion. The port wine jus advertised on the menu was a diluted barbecue sauce. Instead of chanterelles there were mushrooms and instead of potato pancakes I think there were frozen potato thalers. The schnitzel also had no taste. The cream chanterelles without pep and taste. Seasoning didn't help either. The Thumsee Burger was ok, the fries weren't cooked through. We also complained about this when clearing up, but no response or apology. We all eat out once or twice a week and have never been so disappointed. The location itself is a dream, but there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to food.

A great restaurant in a wonderful location! We were there for the last two weeks of June and always had good experiences. At that time you didn't have to make a reservation, we always got a table right by the water and could see all the rudd in the water and marvel at the mountains. If that didn't work, they also have a very large covered outdoor area with lots of tables. There is also a children's playground next door, so children can have fun there while waiting. I think there were also a few children's meals - but you shouldn't expect a lavish selection. The food was always sufficient to sumptuous. Every dish also tasted good. We also found the Kaiserschmarrn there very good. It had a skin that wasn't too "strong", so it was quite fluffy and was garnished with berries, which went very well. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The prices are completely OK. 0.5 liters of beer was quite cheap at €4.50. The prices of the dishes were also largely convincing.

Wenn wir in der Nähe sind oder auf der Durchreise, ist ein Stopp am Thumsee ein Muss. Die Begrüßung auf der Terrasse des Seewirts war sehr freundlich, wir fühlten uns willkommen. Preise wurden stark erhöht. Die Pfifferlingsrahmsuppe enthielt nicht einen einzigen sichtbaren Pfifferling (auch nicht als Topping, nur weiße Brotstückchen mit Sahne) und war auch nicht cremig (was sie ja beim Pürieren von Pilzen sein müsste), wir hatten stark die Vermutung, dass in der Suppe mehrheitlich keine Pfifferlinge waren, sie hatte auch keinen Pilzgeschmack. Der Schweinebraten war sehr lecker und ganz in Ordnung. Am Salatteller mit Hähnchenstreifen war jede Menge Blattsalat, auf 2 Tomatenscheiben die Salatsoße, die sonst nirgends am großen Teller zu finden war, der Salat hatte keinerlei Marinade - nur die 2 kleinen Klekse auf den 2 Tomaten- und Gurkenstücken. Gut geschmeckt haben die gebackenen Hähnchenstreifen. Wirklich scheußlich war der Eiskaffee - bis auf die eine (!) Kugel Vanilleeis. Der Kaffee schmeckte gar nicht und war zudem nicht mal ordentlich gekühlt. Wir wurden nicht gefragt, ob es uns geschmeckt hat, haben aber beobachtet, dass auf einem Tisch vor uns Essen zurückgeschickt wurde. der Grund war nicht ersichtlich. Fazit: Das nächste Mal vielleicht einen Eisbecher essen oder etwas trinken, aber Essen eher nicht mehr.

Mega location, great food, great service!!

I arrived with my family today for a dinner around 5.05pm and wanted to sit on the terrace area but was told by a waitress that they do not provide services on the terrace as there will be a storm in 5 minutes.As we insisted to stay on the terrace, the waitress decided to call a manager to explaine us why they won't be able to serve us on the terrace.The manager was extremely unprofessional and rude making us leave the restaurant.The manager ( the area meteorologist?)seemed happier to lose visitors instead of accomodating them on the terrace area and moving them into inside of the restaurant if storm happens.Pure laziness....Horrible experience....100 meter away I stayed sitting for two hours on the caffee terrace.The storm has never happened.The Sun was shining......The owner of the restaurant should give notice to such an unprofessional manager.He will ruine this beautifully placed restaurant's reputation over time.

The restaurant has an amazing location directly at the Thumsee with indoor seating but also seaside terrace. The ambiance is neat and traditional, somewhat upscale. The menu is regional traditional and food quality is above average but not spectacular. Aspargus soup and Hollandaise sauce were both too fluid. Service wasn't always smooth and attempts to iron it out by being overly "smart" did initially not work out but it improved somewhat. Price level is a bit high but understandable with this unique location.

June 2024 Very nice place by the lake. Good location for the Seewirt. Chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and cream, latte macchiato and 1 wheat beer for 16 euros. The view is fantastic. Thanks Bus line 2 brought us here from Bad Reichenhall.

After we had finished eating, the plates were cleared away, but no one asked if we could have dessert or coffee. We then sat for 20 minutes with empty glasses and decided to pay. The waiters walked past the table but no one thought to ask if there was anything else. A pity. As we left the restaurant, everyone was busy with their cell phones again. As written...to the kitchen team: thank you Service...there is still potential for improvement.

Ja ,wir sind spontan am Nachmittag an den Thumsee gefahren um etwas zu trinken und ein kleiner Snack. Wir durften uns setzen und das war es auch schon . Es kam niemand mehr zu unserem Tisch , weder die Karte bringen noch nach Getränken zu fragen , einfach ignoriert. Unverständlich!!! Nach ca. 15 Minuten haben wir dann das Lokal verlassen..
