The buffet, which was delicious in every respect, was a delight, and the friendly, attentive, and always helpful work of the host couple and their team made the day something special. I had schnitzel with mushrooms and fries. I generally enjoyed it. I have nothing to complain about there. The service was nice too. However, I expect at least a little vegetable garnish for a €20 meal. I wanted to send a friend a photo of my meal, but when it was finally in front of me, I decided against it (a bit like a cafeteria). Now for the biggest problem. I was specifically asked if I wanted a regular portion, as they also offer smaller portions for a bit less money. I'm not someone who needs large portions. However, I wasn't even remotely satisfied by two small minute steaks as schnitzel, a mini bowl of mushrooms, and a small handful of fries. I don't think that's acceptable for €20, sorry. Especially since this is a completely normal restaurant in the middle of Lobeda. We're not talking about fine dining here. I expect to be reasonably full for €20. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. And the portion size issue has already been addressed in another review. Then at least put a few more fries and mushrooms on the plate. That's cheap stuff to buy. Regarding your answer, a little math. You use an average of 85g of raw mass per schnitzel. For two schnitzels, that makes a total of 170g of raw mass. Pork loses about 30% of its weight during frying. That leaves 120g of meat left over after frying. This is equivalent to about 4 slices of cold cuts, such as mortadella, or a little less than 2 eggs. I'm sorry, but for €20 for a schnitzel dish, I expect a little more than 120g of meat on the plate.

We spontaneously ended the day here – and were thoroughly spoiled with culinary delights. The crisp, fresh summer salad was just as impressive as the exceptionally tasty Aschebrät'l (a roast beef). We would especially like to highlight the attentive service and the friendly, pleasant conversations with the team. Thank you for this wonderful evening!

Previous tenants were better. The food isn't as tasty anymore. Salad isn't served with every schnitzel dish. Salad isn't served on the plate either, which was always the case with the previous tenants and was very tasty. Now the salad also includes fruit, a very strange combination. They put cream on the mushrooms without asking if the customers wanted it. We personally found it disgusting, and if you're lactose intolerant, you should always ask beforehand. All in all, we wouldn't recommend it anymore, given the menu and the prices.

We ate there yesterday with four people and a child and were very satisfied! Very friendly hosts and delicious food. Also worth mentioning is the lovely play area for the kids. We'd love to come back. :-)

We used our son's report card presentation as an opportunity for dinner and were absolutely thrilled. You can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful food with a fresh breeze. Perfect for balmy summer evenings. The service is super friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Also worth mentioning is the wide range of games for our boys, who were delighted with the full toy boxes. We're happy to have such a cozy and child-friendly restaurant nearby. The food was beautifully presented and perfectly portioned. We'll be back☺️

A real insider tip – with heart, flavor, and a whole lot of soul! What a wonderful evening! We were thrilled just by looking at the menu: fair prices – and even small portions designated for seniors or those with a small appetite. Fantastic! The food? A dream. Everything was fresh, homemade, and lovingly prepared. My beef brawn was an absolute blast – a family recipe steeped in history and soul. The cinder-roasted pork, the farmer's breakfast, the fried potatoes… everything was perfectly seasoned, made with love, and simply delicious all around. Even the salad on the plate wasn't a careless side dish, but a true delight. The cherry on top – which, by the way, came from Dad's garden – was the icing on the cake. What we particularly liked: When we told them how good it was while clearing up, the praise went straight to the kitchen – and the chef, Antje, even came to us personally. Warm, open, with palpable enthusiasm for her new concept – and a lot of passion for good, honest cooking. She also revealed to us that almost all of her ingredients are organic – and that she consciously cooks with as few allergens as possible. It's not even clearly stated on the menu, but for many guests it's a real sign of quality – and for us, another reason to return. Particularly remarkable, considering the organic nature of the food, are the fair prices at which the dishes are offered. And the portions are perfectly adequate. I honestly can't understand how anyone couldn't get full. At our table, it's the men and the women. Conclusion: Anyone complaining here has either lost their sense of taste or eaten too much fast food. I'd even wait 10 minutes longer for this. This is food that soothes the soul. We'll definitely be back and are happy that the restaurant has found such great new tenants, because we thought no one could replace our Olaf. 😉

The new owners are very committed. The service is very good, and the food is decent. Unfortunately, the portions are very small, more like an appetizer. This isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant, so please improve. Otherwise, the restaurant is on the right track. But always having to eat two main courses leads to a downgrade. Reply: Regarding the two main courses, the schnitzel, you're right; it was about 150-160g. But the first meat was only about 100g.

We went there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled! The Aschebrätl (a roast beef with fried potatoes) was excellent, and the selection of drinks and ice cream left nothing to be desired. The owners were very attentive and fulfilled our requests quickly and friendly. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. Thank you for the great service.

This evening we dined at Rennerdorf for the second time since it reopened – and, as always, we were more than satisfied! You can immediately feel how much passion goes into the cooking here: fresh, homemade, honest, and truly delicious – right down to the homemade bread. We particularly liked the fact that almost every dish is available in a regular and a slightly smaller portion. The service is super friendly, attentive, and naturally accommodates special requests. You feel completely at home here – not least because of the lovingly designed details and the cozy atmosphere. From the outside, the restaurant looks rather unassuming, but inside, a truly comfortable atmosphere awaits you, with hosts who are passionate about their work. We're already looking forward to our next visit – a definite recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and warm hospitality!

A huge compliment to the chef; Thommy's Aschebrät'l was absolutely amazing. The ambiance and service were excellent. We felt very comfortable there. Highly recommended.

Very nice beer garden. From the outside, you wouldn't guess that such a fine restaurant is located here. But what follows is definitely worth it! The food is artfully presented. The dishes look delicious. We heard nothing but praise from all around! We had grilled turkey with pasta and a delicious seasonal salad. The price was reasonable. Perfect for a successful evening with a good atmosphere and delicious food!

New owners since 6 weeks. Verry friendly people who helped us just before closing. And they served us a verry good meal, and a welcomming company. This is a verry great place to eat. The reopening was 100% successful. It was the first time I ever tried an Aschebrätel and I was thrilled, it definitely won't be the last. My companion was also impressed from start to finish, both in terms of food, service and rooms. Absolutely recommended!

Always a nice person who serves people and gets involved in his work. Polite, attentive and accommodating. The kitchen does more than its best! The food always tastes great and the selection is large. The short waiting times for food are more than okay considering how long it takes me to cook. I always enjoy going there! And I can recommend it with a clear conscience and that's what I'm doing here.

A restaurant in the middle of the residential area in Lobeda West. Rustic menu with lots of pork/schnitzel dishes. Unfortunately there are no poultry dishes and only one vegetarian dish. The prices are OK.

It's a shame that Olaf is quitting at the end of the year.😢
