Chinese food like it used to be. When it's cold, I warm myself up with Peking soup. Very affordable, and they also serve lunch. Very friendly service.

We were there with 20 people for a business lunch – and what we found was simply disappointing. Apparently, our reservation had been completely forgotten, as the staff were completely unprepared for our group. The meal dragged on forever, and the only waiter was completely overwhelmed with us as practically the only guests. The real low point for me, however, was my main course: a supposed "veal schnitzel" for almost €30. The portion was tiny, the quality questionable – and after I complained, I was served another piece, but when I finally started eating, I realized that two of the three pieces weren't veal at all, but pork! An absolute disgrace and completely unacceptable. The rest of the dishes in our group also varied considerably in quality and preparation – the kitchen seemed simply overwhelmed. Even the drinks arrived after an eternity of waiting. What was planned to be a pleasant, convivial evening ended in sheer disappointment. The manager present offered no apology or consideration at all – really bad… Conclusion: The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. Poor service, questionable quality, and no trace of professionalism. A real shame – we won't be back!

I called the Gasthaus Morgenröte today, July 24, 2025, to reserve a table outside for one person. I was told that the outside area was closed. Since dogs aren't allowed inside, I asked if there was any possibility of getting a table outside. After speaking with the manager, I was given the OK to sit outside, but I was supposed to place my order inside. When I arrived at the restaurant, 90% of the outside area was occupied. I was surprised because the outside area was supposed to be closed. The waiting staff were obviously totally overwhelmed by the new situation. The restaurant mostly employs school and university students anyway, and definitely not qualified staff, that's my impression. The waiter came to the next table twice and I asked if I could order something. She looked quickly in my direction and my question was ignored. I've been coming to the restaurant for 10 years, but I've never experienced anything like today.

I ordered food through the app, where it said delivery would take 30–40 minutes. I waited an hour and a half, and when it arrived, the food was cold. In my opinion, it doesn't have the quality of a restaurant meal, and the prices are high compared to the service. Disappointing, I don't recommend.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times and usually order veal schnitzel. I've noticed that I get smaller portions of meat each time I visit, and this time the schnitzel was also very fatty. For the price, I find the portions really disappointing—just two very small pieces of veal schnitzel. The salad was fresh and delicious, but there were problems with the fries: Instead of the fries I ordered, I first got fried potatoes, then finally the fries—but only a few pieces, probably leftovers. The quality and portion sizes used to be much better. I think that's a real shame.
