Zum Murgdamm in Rastatt

Nach einer Radtour an den Rhein, bin ich bei der Rückfahrt an dem Biergarten "Zum Murgdamm" vorbei gefahren, und habe mir gesagt das ich einen kleinen erfrischungstrunk zu mir nehmen könnte, und es war eine gute Gelegenheit auch was zu essen. Alles top, sehr schöner Biergarten, leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Personal. Ich werde hier bestimmt noch mal einen halt machen.

Seht freundlicher Service, gute einfache Küche, Preis- Leistung unschlagbar

Sehr schön gelegene Gaststätte direkt an der Murg. Inmitten der wunderschönen Kleingartenanlage. Das Essen ist gut und die Schnitzelportionen sind riesig! Das beste jedoch sind die Bedienungen: super freundlich, mega schnell und zudem noch hübsch anzusehen. Ein stimmiges Ambiente für laue Sommerabende!

Für alle die Schnitzel und gute Preise lieben. Hier stimmt einfach alles und der Service ist stets freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein besseres Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ohne geschmackliche Abstriche machen zu müssen findet man niergends! Klare Empfehlung!

Sehr gemütlich und sehr gutes Essen. Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Schnitzel und Wurstsalat sind absolut zu empfehlen. Kommen immer wieder gerne hier hin.

Ein wirklich schöner Biergarten. Am besten zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Ich liebe Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat. Tolle Portionen zu fairen Preisen. Die Getränke sind auch preislich absolut okay. Das Personal ist freundlich und sehr fix. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

Man sitzt draußen sehr schön, gute Schattenplätze direkt an der Murg. Vorher muss man ein paar Meter durch die Schrebergärten laufen oder direkt am der Murg laufen/ Fahrrad fahren, um hinzukommen. Das Essen ist ganz okay, für den Preis super. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles in allem ganz gut für den Preis. Man darf halt keine Sterneküche erwarten. Das war unser erster Besuch. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder.

Essen war richtig baba zu stabilen Preisen und exrem große Portionen

Das Essen ist preisgünstig. Man bekommt eine deftige und ordentliche Portion. Es hat mich geschmacklich jetzt nicht überzeugt, daher nur 2/5 Sterne. Aber insgesamt trotzdem in Ordnung.

Unglaublich dieser Platz 💯❤️❤️ Wunderschön und total Erholsam da zu sitzen 🙏🏼👍🏼 Das Essen....besser geht's einfach nicht ! Ich weis nicht wer da kocht weil wir das erst mal da waren. Aber der wo kocht versteht sein Handwerk zu 200 % !👍🏼 Jetzt zum Essen. Das Topt alles....hatten Jägerschnitzel Pommes und Salat bestellt ! Es gibt kleine und große Portion auf der Karte. Wir hatten kleine bestellt weil uns das Lokal von Freunden empfohlen wurde ! Wegem Motoradfahren hinterher auch noch, damit nichts drückt in der Bauch Gegend ! Das war auch unser Glück das wir Infos hatten den es war riesig !!! Jägerschnitzel nicht ganz geschafft. Pommes blib auch fast die Hälfte aufem Teller. Den riesigen Geschmischten Salat hab ich nicht mal probiert weil ich voll war. Der komplette Salat wurde eingepackt in tolle Kartonagen Schüsseln mit Deckel. So ähnliche wie beim Italiener wenn man pasta bestellt glaub...also Top ! Bedienung sehr freundlich und cool drauf. Die Chefin bedient auch und ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich und auch lustig, immer ein Lächeln halt aufgelegt. Das Trinken war der knaller vom Preis. Wir hatten Alkoholfreies Weizen bestellt dann kam sogar die Königin davon nämlich Erdinger ! Ich dachte die Karte ist falsch weil da stand halber Liter 2.50 € 🤣🤗👌🏼 Also das es solche lokale noch gibt ist einzigartig weil kenne keine. Für Essen und Trinken habe ich glaub 16 € bezahlt...Ich muss später noch mal den Kumpel fragen. Wenn ein Tisch aufgestanden ist zack saßen gleich die nächsten drauf. Also da geht mal richtig die Post ab. Und wie gesagt ein toller wunderschöner Platz ! Wenn die Portionen, die Qualität und die Preise so weitergeführt werden braucht sich dort niemand Gedanken machen über bankrott oder mi us Geschäft oder Schließung wie ja sehr viel zur Zeit im weiten Umkreis..... Alles gut👍🏼 Immer wieder gern 👍🏼 Weitet so 🙏🏼 Bis bald wieder zu 💯 % 🙋🏻‍♂️

Der Salat war sehr gut.! Schnitzel, geklopft und paniert und dunkel serviert. Trotz kleiner Portion nur die Hälfte gegessen. Man sollte sich nicht zu sehr auf Bewertungen verlassen. Anscheinend liebt die Kundschaft die Masse statt die Klasse. Wieder was gelernt

Bin immer wieder sehr zufrieden, der Salat (ein Traum), das Schnitzel immer lecker kross gebraten und Top souffliert 🤤 Die Soße, ist kein Fixprodukt und das ist doch, dass was man erwartet 😊 Man sollte verstehen, dass die Bedienungen und der Koch, auch wenn es voll ist einen mega Job machen!!! 🥳 Hut ab 💪

Ein wunderschöner Ort dieser Biergarten. Man wird freundlich begrüsst und bewirtet. Die Speisen sind lecker und genau richtig. Ich gehe dorthin um mir etwas Gutes zu tun und zu Geniessen. 😋❤️ Kleiner Urlaub zuhause.

Die Schweinekoteletts waren mir zu groß, deshalb habe ich eins mitgenommen. Ich kann sie aber trotzdem wärmstens empfehlen.

Wir waren bereits zwei Mal im Murgdamm essen und sind immer zufrieden gewesen. Es ist natürlich kein Fine Dining, aber nichtsdestotrotz wird hier mit Liebe gekocht und das schmeckt man auch. Atmosphäre ist für eine Vereinsgaststätte ebenso angemessen wie die lockere Art des Service. Preis/Leistung sind sehr stimmig und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die schnitzel waren lecker, ein schönen Biergarten wo man gemütlich sitzen und essen kann. Die Bedienung war nett , gut es war eine Menge los , deswegen ist es nicht aufgefallen das die Gläser leer waren. Das Ambiente ging in Richtung Kneipe, was nicht mein Geschmack war, die Toiletten hätten sich gerne etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit gewünscht.

The schnitzel may be large, but quality over quantity is paramount. It was completely dry, and the sauce didn't add much. Service was very chaotic. The bill wasn't correct, and we had to double-check. When we asked if we could take it with us, they simply brought a roll of aluminum foil to our table. The atmosphere was okay, and the walk there is very pleasant. However, the employees there should please refrain from smoking next to customers (by the stairs). I can't understand the reviews at all.

The food is of poor quality. Nothing to my taste.

We like to stop by for lunch every now and then when the weather's nice, when we're out cycling. When it's busy, like last weekend, the salad portion can be quite small (e.g., a forkful of carrot salad and five leaves of lettuce), but otherwise the food is good and plentiful.

Can be recommended with a clear conscience.

For me, this is the best place to sit outside with friends, drink a beer, and enjoy a good schnitzel. The prices are really fair compared to others in the city, and the location on the Murg River is very pleasant. The menu is small but plentiful, with classics like schnitzel and sausage salad. You can sit and relax here without feeling like you're rushing to leave. Highly recommended for warm summer evenings!

They have the biggest schnitzels!

My visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment! We had to wait over 15 minutes for our order to be taken, and then the wrong drink arrived. After 30 minutes, the wrong meal arrived, but only for one person. Everyone else didn't get their food for 20 minutes later. The meal itself was a disaster: The schnitzel was as dry as a desert, the fries were unbearably hard and salty, and the sauce tasted like a packet. Any canned goulash soup tastes better. On top of that, the bill was incorrect, and the service was chaotic and unfriendly. There are three waitresses working there, only one of whom is friendly. I absolutely don't understand all the good reviews. If a restaurant only serves schnitzel as a main course, and the food is so incredibly bad, I don't understand why anyone would eat there.

Unfortunately they didn't play the Sound of Silence remix even though I asked for it :(

The Jägerschnitzel was absolutely delicious. I think it's the best schnitzel in Rastatt. The fries were fresh and crispy. The service was friendly. We'll definitely be back.

It's a shame. We had hoped for a bit more from the food. If your expectations aren't too high, it's fine. Sitting is comfortable.

A few days ago, we had a cozy get-together here with our relatives. Everything was very good: the service, the ambiance (beautifully set), the waitresses were very quick and attentive, and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back!!! 👍👍👍

A great restaurant in Rastatt. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. The schnitzels are delicious and the portions are more than generous. The food came very quickly. The beer prices are excellent. We'll definitely be back again.

Cozy beer garden, great service, good schnitzel!

Very good food at a very fair price! It was my first time here, but it certainly won't be my last! For a very fair price, you get more than you can eat with the large portions. Only if you have a big appetite should you opt for the large portions here 🤣 The service is very attentive and always checks the area, even when it's busy. Finding the place was a bit difficult at first, as you have to park on the parallel street and walk through Murgdamm Park.

The schnitzels are plate-sized and tender and delicious. In good weather, you can sit outside with a view of the Murg River or a garden association. The service was very attentive.

With a price tag of €13 for a Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad, I was a bit skeptical at first. I was very pleasantly surprised by how the food arrived. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The second picture shows the "regular" portion with two schnitzels for €17. Unbeatable value for money! Impeccable service.

Yes, but you have to bring time with you.

We were there on May 31, 2025 with nine people. It was my first time there. Everything was absolutely perfect. Good value for money. I can only recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

Very tasty schnitzel at a sensational price

A very popular restaurant located directly on Rheinau's Murgdamm. A lovely, cozy atmosphere inside, but even nicer on the terrace outside. The allotment gardens and Murgdamm make it truly beautiful. It can get quite crowded when the first rays of sunshine appear and cyclists and walkers gather around. The schnitzel selection is limited, but always of very good quality and plenty to fill you up. We usually have some leftovers. You're also welcome to take your leftovers home. As mentioned, it's always busy starting in spring, when the weather warms up. It's best to call ahead and ask about seating, as the restaurant can only be reached on foot, either via Murgdamm or through the allotment gardens.

Went to the club restaurant for the third time as a group. Service is nice and helpful. The schnitzel menu is perfect. The beer garden is great, it's nice to sit under the trees or under the large umbrellas. Great restaurant

I must have had a bad day. Had to wait 1 hour for drinks and another 2 hours for food. But still, for the food and the price I definitely say "thumbs up"

There was a lot of activity but I was alone and they said they didn't have any staff, they were understaffed, well there's no room for 1 person, I'm not going there anymore, there are plenty of other places where I can go

Were ignored by the waitress for a good 45 minutes after we told her we had just arrived. At first she wanted to give us two salad plates, but didn't take our order when we told her that we hadn't ordered them. Although we drew attention to ourselves several times and she even mumbled something back to me as she walked past, we were not served because she finally sneaked out of the affair towards the end of the day. It's a shame that food is otherwise always cheap and in a good location.

Those who like traditional cuisine without a lot of invention in a homely atmosphere will certainly enjoy the simplicity of a delicious, freshly prepared meal.

Landed here spontaneously by chance and ate very good schnitzel. Huge portion, delicious fries, schnitzel well seasoned, came quickly and was served very friendly. Schnitzelheart, what more do you want? The ambience is typical of a club restaurant, but you can go out for much fancier and worse food for a lot more money.

Beautifully located, directly on the Murgdamm. When the weather is good, the outdoor area is really great. Clear menu with good prices (Pils 0.5l for €2.40) Nice and attentive staff. Lots of cyclists taking a break here.

Simple but popular garden pub with a beautiful beer garden directly on the Murg, which you can't see. The food is good, the service is a bit overwhelmed when the house is full but is always friendly. Our parasols were closed despite the blazing sun. The audience is typically grumpy from Baden. I recommend the schnitzels, they are great 👌

Went here today on a recommendation, it's quite small, smaller than expected. The menu was very clear, despite the small menu there were unfortunately canned mushrooms on the schnitzel. Plates were very well filled, schnitzel was good, well done, tasted okay, personally fried a bit too dry for me and a bit bland, another guest at the table also thought. Many regular guests here who are served quickly have already had their food and we didn't have anything yet, even though they came after us. Not bad, just noticed. The sausage salad looked good, but we didn't have it. Service nice. It's definitely nice in the summer if you can sit outside, I can imagine that it would be very busy with walkers from the Murgdamm. You can't park directly in front of the door, you have to walk a bit across the gardens or from the other side of Murgdamm. But it doesn't hurt to run a little. It's more like a small village pub that I know from my childhood, where regulars meet. Not bad, but certainly not for everyone. Everyone has to decide for themselves. Had gypsy schnitzel/Hawaiian schnitzel and Murgdamm schnitzel, very well priced and fair.

Restaurant war gut besucht, Getränke wurden nach einer halben Stunde serviert. Das bestellte Schnitzel hat eine Stunde gedauert, war sehr trocken und richtig dunkel gebraten und nicht gut.Das Salatdressing war versalzen. Werden garantiert hier nicht mehr einkehren. Ansonsten schöner Platz zum rasten ,schade dass man als Nicht-Stammgast ignoriert wird.

Gestern Mittag um 12:00 Uhr haben wir hier zu Mittag gegessen. Sehr schön im freien zu Sitzen, ideal für einen Fahrradausflug. Nette freundliche Bedienung die auch schnell die Getränke brachte. Zu Essen gab es ein kleines Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat sowie einen Salat mit Putenstreifen. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Portionen wirklich beachtlich. Geschmacklich war alles sehr zu Empfehlen und der Preis absolut in Ordnung. Wir können das Lokal Zum Murgdamm nur Empfehlen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder mal vorbei.
