Ich war einige Male mit meinem behinderten Sohn hier, nachmittags nur auf Getränke und auch zum Abendessen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Es gibt leckere Hühnchen Gerichte in allen Variationen, aber auch Anderes. Das Lokal ist super gut für Leute mit Kindern, da es eine große Terrasse und sogar ein paar Tische auf der großen Wiese davor hat......super entspannt zum Verweilen, da der Nachwuchs sich im Freien auf der großen Wiese und mit Spielgeräten vergnügen kann, während man entspannt das Ambiente genießen kann. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Hühnchengerichte schmecken schon wahnsinnig gut, Ambiente ist auch Klasse, viel zu wenig Los für das was geboten wird.

Einfach köstlich! Das Hüttenschnitzel und die Tessiner Rösti mit Pilzen waren unglaublich lecker. Eines der besten Hühnchengerichte, die ich seit Langem gegessen habe. Auch die Atmosphäre war fantastisch – gemütlich, einladend und perfekt für ein tolles Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Die Außenterrasse bot eine großartige Aussicht und war kinderfreundlich! 🍻

Das Essen war geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut, allerdings lässt die Portionsgröße stark zu wünschen übrig. Wir sind beide nicht richtig satt geworden – und das, obwohl meine Begleitung eine kleine, zierliche Frau ist. Auch der gemischte Salat war eher enttäuschend. Geschmacklich war es aber überzeugend, daher insgesamt trotzdem 3 Sterne.

Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Das Essen (Gyrospfanne) war mega lecker und eine richtig gute Portion. Gerne wieder.

Sehr gemütliches Lokal mit einer schönen, klassischen Allgäuer Einrichtung, in der man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Auch der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Beim Gericht „Schnitzel komplett“ waren wir allerdings enttäuscht: Das Schnitzel war leider nicht richtig durch und dadurch sehr weich. Gerade bei einem Schnitzel erwartet man eigentlich eine knusprige Panade und gut gebratenes Fleisch. Preislich lagen wir am Ende bei ca. 120 € für vier Personen, was insgesamt einfach zu viel für die Qualität des Essens war. Nett ist es hier trotzdem

Heute hatte ich leider eine sehr unangenehme Erfahrung mit diesem Restaurant, die ich hier teilen möchte, damit andere Kunden darauf achten. Ich habe ein Burger-Menü mit Pommes bestellt und komplett bezahlt. Ich habe einen Cheeseburger bestellt und davor extra die Kassiererin gefragt, ob das Fleisch Rindfleisch ist. Sie hat mir bestätigt, dass es Rindfleisch ist. Nachdem ich meine Bestellung abgeholt habe und zu Hause angekommen bin, habe ich festgestellt, dass im Burger Schweinefleisch war. Ich bin sofort zurück ins Restaurant gegangen und habe die Kassiererin darauf hingewiesen. Sie hat den Fehler zugegeben und gesagt, dass sie mir ohne Problem einen neuen Burger machen wird. Während ich auf meine neue Bestellung gewartet habe, kam jedoch die Besitzerin des Restaurants und hat in einem unangemessenen Ton mit mir gesprochen. Sie meinte, das sei „unhöflich“ von mir und ich hätte von Anfang an sagen müssen, dass ich kein Schweinefleisch esse – obwohl ich vorher ausdrücklich nachgefragt habe und mir bestätigt wurde, dass es Rindfleisch ist. Außerdem hat mir niemand gesagt, dass ich die erste falsche Bestellung kostenlos behalten darf oder dass sie erstattet wird. Fehler können überall passieren. Das Problem war hier nicht nur der Fehler, sondern vor allem die Art und Weise, wie mit dem Kunden gesprochen wurde. Ich empfehle allen Kunden, in diesem Restaurant besonders genau nachzufragen und ihre Bestellung gut zu kontrollieren.

Leckeres Essen und leckeres Bier 🍺

Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles in hellem Holz, war es ruhig, als wir dort waren. Sehr freundlicher Service und köstliches Essen.

Hier schmeckt ein Halber Hahn wie ein halber Hahn schmecken muss, aber dazu später mehr. Wenn du in Oberstdorf das Sonntagsspiel auf Dazn sehen willst und dazu warm und gut essen möchtest, muss du einfach hier hingehen. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze vor der Tür. Das Restaurant liegt ziemlich im Centrum von Oberstdorf und ist ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Das Ambiente ist bayerisch angemessen, viel Holz aber eben auch gemütlich. Toilette sauber. Service gut. Die Speisekarte ist üppig, neben Burger, Salate und Schnitzel findet man auch 1/2 Händel. Das Fleisch ist super zart, lässt sich gut vom Knochen lösen. Eine besondere Empfehlung wäre der rote Hahn. In der Küche arbeiten Leute, die ihr Handwerk verstehen. So gut wie Wienerwald in den 80er Jahren. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Preise sind voll okay. Danke für alles.

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und der Service ist zuvorkommend. Das Essen war gut, lecker und die Portionen waren großartig. Ich empfehle jedem zuvor einen Tisch zu bestellen, da das Restaurant, obwohl es groß ist, immer sehr gut besucht ist. Ohne Reservierung kann es passieren, dass man auf einen freien Tisch warten muss. Auch positiv finde ich, dass Sportveranstaltungen dort live gezeigt werden.

Wir kommen regelmäßig im Urlaub hierher. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen, sehr familiäre Atmosphäre 👍Können wir weiterempfehlen .

Wir sind heute zum Abendessen mit voller Vorfreude auf ein leckeres Brathendl und Pommes gegangen.. und wurden ganz und gar nicht enttäuscht! Das Hähnchen war saftig, die Haut knusprig und lecker und die Pommes nicht zu fettig. Selbst der “simple” Beilagensalat war überraschend gut. Und wir fanden die 19,80€ p.Portion für die Qualität und im Hinblick, dass wir uns hier im Ferienort befinden, vollkommen in Ordnung. Danke an den Koch für das leckere Abendessen. Wird auf jeden Fall weiterempfohlen:)

Knapp 20 Euronen für ein halbes Hähnchen mit einer handvoll Pommes und einem sehr kleinen Beilagensalat-also ich weiß nicht wer hier von toller Preis/Leistung redet! Ansonsten ist die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Personals hervorzuheben!

Waren gegen 20:30 Uhr dort, wollten etwas im Restaurant essen, was allerdings nicht mehr ging, da es wohl keine Küche mehr gäbe. Laut Beschilderung aber bis 21 Uhr. Wurden dann zum dazugehörigen Imbiss geschickt.

Ein schönes und uriges Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Hier gehen wir immer wieder gerne hin und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Habe mich draußen hingesetzt einen Tisch weiter als eine bestehende Gruppe. Diese wurde verabschiedet und abkassiert. Mich hat man zwar gesehen (Zwangsweise), da ich an der Kellnerin vorbeigelaufen bin. War aber dann wohl doch zu aufwendig nochmal rauszukommen. Habe 30 Minuten gewartet. War alleine dann draußen. (Wollte den Sonnenuntergang nicht verpassen, habe ich auch nicht) Bin dan gegangen wenn die mich nicht beachten ich die auch nicht.

Ist halt ein ex Wiener Wald und entsprechend eine Hühnerbude. Manchmal hat man eben Bock drauf und dafür ist es top. Service ist freundlich und alle Achtung was die hier wegschaffen

We had asked for an outdoor seat and got one – that was a positive. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired: It took a full 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table. While the drinks were brought promptly, we had to wait an incredible two hours for the food. The Cordon Bleu tasted okay, but the portion was rather small – maybe enough for a child, but definitely not for an adult. The price of €22 for the Cordon Bleu with a side salad is absolutely overpriced. Overall, a disappointing visit. We won't be coming back.

⭐☆☆☆☆ – “Half the Hahn – you only get half the enjoyment” A visit to the restaurant “Half the Hahn” is like a Kinder Surprise egg – only without the fun, games, and chocolate. The chicken burger came with a patty that was obviously pounded together from a mixture of chicken, hope, and kitchen frustration. The texture was reminiscent of minced chicken that had lost its will to live after a fight with the frying pan. In terms of taste? Let's put it this way: I briefly had the urge to apologize to the chicken. The schnitzel looked like it had seen the inside of more freezers than I've seen furniture stores – breaded nostalgia in the form of a ready-made product. The lemon wedge, which sat sadly on the edge of the plate like a decorative victim, didn't help either. But hey – the fries! They were crispy, golden brown, and the highlight of the evening. I affectionately dubbed it "Potato Gold" and my only regret is that I had to share it with the rest of the group. The waiter, however, was excellent: quick, friendly, and probably just as shocked inside as we were. He really deserved five stars for his performance—but he's working in the wrong movie. Bottom line: If you want to play culinary roulette, this is the place for you. Next time, I'll bring my own chicken—raw, alive, and in better condition.

We were quite satisfied until our food was brought to us by an unfriendly and rude female server. After we had agreed to swap tables with the very friendly male server after it unexpectedly started to rain (about 3 m from table to table), we swapped tables. After she asked rudely why we were sitting somewhere else, and it was politely pointed out to her that the other table was completely exposed to the rain from above, while the current one offered protection from it, her reply was, "Then we just don't sit out there." Ironically, it would have even been funny, but she was completely serious and in a tone that was far from the advertised hospitality. This "server" is anything but suited to the job if she treats guests so unfriendly and seems overwhelmed by even the slightest deviation.

Like the old Wienerwald in the same location. The world's best barbecue sauce, the same taste as before. I got everything there to go. The half chicken was amazing, and the nuggets weren't pressed meat, but real breast fillet. Super friendly service. Delicious salad and fries.

Delicious chicken, friendly service – but pricing raises questions Occasionally, we get the urge for a really good, juicy chicken – and that's how we ended up at "Halber Hahn." The beer garden was inviting, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service extremely friendly – ​​something you unfortunately don't experience everywhere these days. The food was well prepared, the chicken juicy, the side dish (fries with gravy) solid – overall, a well-rounded meal. One thing that did irritate us, however, was the pricing: For the same meal, you pay significantly less (about a €5 difference) for the to-go option. This left us with a slightly uneasy feeling, especially since the ambiance on site was nice, but didn't offer any particular "extra charge" atmosphere. All in all, it was delicious, and the visit was okay – but next time we'd probably just take the chicken to go and enjoy it outside in peace and quiet.

The restaurant is clean and tidy. The service is friendly, and the wait times are reasonable. The breaded chicken schnitzel is advertised as having a golden brown coating. Instead, you get a dark yellow mass reminiscent of frozen food or convenience food. The schnitzel was also quite thick. The fries were great. Perfectly seasoned. So were the salads. The schnitzel was unfortunately a disappointment. The rest of the food was overall as expected. Price-wise, I'd consider it average for a tourist destination.

We only had a drink because we had just had a late breakfast. But the staff was very friendly. What annoyed me was an older gentleman who bought half a chicken and then asked how much it cost. After an employee answered, the older gentleman said: "You can get it at Lidl for €4.50." Unbelievable, so he should just buy it at Lidl. The employee also explained that the chickens are on the rotisserie for about two hours. I can't understand people like that. And then there are the running costs, etc. In any case, the kitchen smelled delicious, and we'll be back for dinner one of these days.

There were two of us and we each ordered a Caesar salad. This was the worst salad we had ever eaten in a restaurant. A short and small cut green salad, which was reminiscent of cold vegetables, with 3 half cocktail tomatoes. The size of a side salad. To charge €11.90 for this is a disgrace. At least it was somewhat tasty. Plus point: The service was very friendly and the outdoor area is large and relatively quiet. We certainly won't go there again.

During my stay in Oberstdorf I visited this restaurant twice. The first time I chose the cordon bleu, the second time I chose the chicken gyro. Both dishes were excellently prepared, although the gyros didn't quite meet my personal taste - but that's a matter of taste, of course. The service was excellent both evenings, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Next time I would try the pick-up service as the prices for take-away food are significantly cheaper.

The two of us ate here and were completely satisfied. There was once the chicken special with delicious barbecue sauce and the hut schnitzel. Both were very tasty and the service was also very friendly. We will definitely come back on our next vacation.
