Zum Wilde Männle in Oberstdorf

We've been coming here for many years. Despite changing hands a few years ago, we still highly recommend it. Top-notch food (quality, taste, price) - even a great kids' menu! Always very friendly staff 😀 The interior is very crowded, so they really take advantage of every space. Reservations recommended!

Very good cuisine, everything very tasty, unfortunately very dark inside

For lunch, we had goulash soup and Kaiserschmarrn. Service was good, soup was excellent. The Kaiserschmarrn was okay but could have been a bit fluffier. It's a matter of taste, though.

You have to eat there. If you're on vacation and want to eat something from down there, you should pay a visit. The daily specials are worth it. They offer whole and half knuckles. I highly recommend them. One whole knuckle is enough for almost two people.

The restaurant is very centrally located Reservations are recommended from 5 p.m. The restaurant offers a wide selection of home-style cuisine We were there as a family and had cordon bleu, cheese spaetzle and a gourmet pan. All dishes were very tasty and prepared quickly. The service staff is very friendly and on the ball. The price-performance ratio is not cheap, but due to the good quality of the food it is absolutely reasonable We can absolutely recommend the restaurant and would go there again in a heartbeat. That's why we give it 5 stars

Great food and drinks! Everything is freshly prepared and served. There are great and incredibly tasty game dishes here but also other great and hearty dishes. You won't be disappointed here at Wilde Männle and it's worth eating out several times. You can hear beautiful Allgäu music several times a week. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

On a day trip to the cheese festival we had lunch at Wilde Männle. My wife had the Friday special half duck while I opted for the beef liver with mashed potatoes. Both tasted excellent. In addition, friendly, not to say warm, service. It should actually be self-evident, but unfortunately it isn't. The food wasn't cheap, but it was in line with today's prices. And it's actually relatively cheap when you compare it with prices in other Oberstdorf restaurants, which border on usury. We are planning another trip to Oberstdorf in May and will probably go there again (as we have done in recent years).

Better food and friendly service is not possible here in Oberstdorf. The quality is top. The waiter always has a joke on his lips without becoming presumptuous. Always a pleasure and a visit that is worth it. Important ! Book a table in advance as it is very busy. If you're lucky, you might be able to find accommodation spontaneously. We would love to come back 🤗😘

Basically yes! An excellent meal paired with attentive service! Super good until checkout! Really really good,...keep it up!!! We expressed our desire to pay to our waitress with the reference to card payment. After that it seemed as if they didn't want to concede anything to us. Our waitress checked in on three tables around us, brought drinks and food and took orders. When we remembered after 10 minutes, he told us that the colleague would be coming soon....when I asked again after another 5 minutes when we could expect payment, he replied that the colleague was at the table himself, but would be with us in a moment?!?!?!? Not a single syllable was used to explain why everything was charged, except for us... after the waiting time became too long for us, we went to the counter to pay there... Then a waitress came with our receipt?!? When asked about the circumstances, he said succinctly and apologetically that he had just eaten himself and could now collect. When asked about the unreasonably long waiting time and the fact that there was enough staff available, he didn't respond... I was so perplexed that I forgot to leave a tip... I had never experienced anything so disorganized before.... It's a shame!!!!!!

My father and I went to this restaurant 2 days in a row. We enjoyed the lovely service of Leoni B. What a joy 😄. The food was really nice. The second time we went there, there was live music on a accordion, which gave you even more the feeling of being in Bavaria. Thank you also to the musician 🪗😃. We can recommend this place 😃.

We've been to the Wilder Männle several times now and we've always really enjoyed it. The food and service are great. There is live music every other evening, which is really great and creates a good atmosphere. Of course, this also makes it a bit louder in general. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, as the inn is almost always full and the tables are double occupied.

I ate beef liver with mashed potatoes. Delicious. Large dining room, fast service, very friendly and accommodating. Everything very clean. You should make reservations for dinner.

An absolutely lovely evening with good food. Reservations are easily possible online. It worked out perfectly. Strongly recommended as the restaurant is very busy. Service very good, friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. Homemade spaetzle, bread dumplings and red cabbage/red cabbage. Nothing out of the box. Despite the full house, we didn't wait long for the food. We would definitely come again.

Rustic, inexpensive, delicious 😋

We were there on Monday. My wife had the Schäufele and I had the neck steak, both of which were very tasty. We booked a table again for Wednesday, why look for something else and then possibly be disappointed. We can recommend the restaurant.

This was the second time we were on holiday at Wilden Männle. Like last time, the food was great and was served very quickly despite the restaurant being full. Particularly noteworthy is the once again great service and the exceptionally friendly staff and service staff Gladly again at any time

A very nice inn that combines modern and rustic furnishing styles. Very comfortable. We made reservations for my mother's birthday. The table was very lovingly designed. The food (onion roast and cordon bleu) is very good and changes are addressed immediately. The waiter (Arthur, I think) was attentive, friendly and accommodating despite being busy. Price/performance is more than reasonable and the portions are plentiful. Mega. We felt very comfortable there and will be happy to come back when the opportunity arises. A very clear recommendation from us

We had the liver dumpling soup, a Schäufele, a Viennese-style schnitzel, the Käsespatzn and the spinach dumpling. Everything was delicious, all portions were large and sufficient. Kudos to the kitchen. We particularly liked the service. Everything worked out and it happened incredibly quickly.

The restaurant was highly recommended to us by our hotel. We were warmly welcomed and were given a place straight away. The waiters and waitresses are VERY attentive and prompt. As soon as we sat at our table, we placed our drink order. It didn't take two minutes before they were standing in front of us. The menu is well-stocked and very clearly laid out. You'd think there's something for everyone! I ate cheese spaetzle, my partner a turkey schnitzel with fries. It was very good! We recommend everyone who visits Obersdorf to stop there at least once! Many thanks to the entire team for the time we were able to spend there. - We'll definitely come back. PS: everyone drinks the apricot diligently. Very good, cozy restaurant with regional dishes. The Cordon Bleu with potato and cucumber salad is highly recommended. Friendly and attentive staff. Large terrace when the weather is nice. Price performance fits.

I would like to say that I am not a difficult customer. But when I'm asked if everything is okay, I'm honest. I had the Cordon Bleu, side ordering from potato salad to fries (for €2). On my meat I had a strip of cartilage/rind about 8 cm long. I showed this to the waitress. She said she'll pass this on to the kitchen. She reported back from the kitchen that this could happen. The cook probably wouldn't have seen or noticed this when he was beating and folding. It's incomprehensible to me how you couldn't notice that. The waitress was very friendly and apologized several times, but there was nothing more she could do. Mistakes can happen, but it depends on how you deal with them. For me, there was no place for justification; a concession (even if it had only been the change in the supplement that was not charged and an apology) would probably have been more appropriate here. At least I have to say that my partner's roast beef was very good.

A restaurant with a long-established flair in Oberstdorf. In principle mass processing, but there is simply no other way there. Nevertheless, I would like to give a lot of praise to our waiter “Erenik”. Wow, I haven't received such warm service in Oberstdorf for a long time. The boy is worth his weight in gold! His way of dealing with guests is incredibly warm. You're not really a guest, you're immediately a kind of friend. Erenik turns even the usually very mundane serving of food into an experience. Only through very small things that don't cost the company time or money. Simply great. Please keep it up, Erenik!!! You are a true asset to Oberstdorfer Service! We were your guests on January 18, 2025. The three “chaoters” who first sat at the counter and then Erenik served us at the table. Thank you very much for your great service! P.S. Only the “Wilde Männle Pfanne”, which bears your name, was rather subpar! But Erenik can't help it :). The rest was great!

Authentic and always worth a visit! Very tasty Franconian Schäufele.

The taste of the food was very good. Portions way too small. Waiter asked if the portions looked like on their advertising posters, to which the answer was yes. Then the plate came and there wasn't even half of it on it. Same thing on the second visit, which is why there won't be a third visit. Price performance underground.

We left again after a waitress treated us three times in a way that was very unpleasant for us!! pointed out that we hadn't greeted them. We entered the restaurant and greeted everyone warmly. A friendly waitress showed us to our table and we took a seat there. Then a young waitress came and we wanted to order from. That didn't work because she wanted to be greeted politely first. She explained to us that we had so much time to do this. She did this three times, in great detail. Despite the lack of skilled workers, that's where my understanding ends. PS: Everything is good for something! My yeast dumpling couldn't have tasted better than the one I ate on top of it at La Strada.

Very attentive service, the glass is empty and someone is there, that's how it has to be, that's how you love it! Even though the hut was full, the food was served quickly. Keep it up.

Very courteous and attentive waitress. The meals were a bit too big for us, but delicious. Completely satisfied. A day later, got Kaiserschmarrn to take away. Again, very nice service and the Schmarrn was also delicious.

Really great restaurant. Were here on a Monday, unfortunately without a reservation, but we were buried with two strangers, which was no problem for us because we didn't have a reservation. So we make sure that everyone gets a place. Since not all restaurants are open on Mondays/Tuesdays, it was packed here, but with the distribution of tables it wasn't annoyingly loud. The food was really great and the friendly service was always there to ask questions. The Bavarian live music made the ambience perfect for the Allgäu holiday! I can only recommend it.

Unfortunately, the Wilde Männle in Oberstdorf did not meet our expectations. The meat in the gourmet pan was clearly overcooked, which unfortunately affected the enjoyment. The fries, however, were good. The service was mediocre. Even if a reservation is necessary, we probably won't come back.

The restaurant is not at all wild and very attractive, rustic but cozy. We went to Wilde Männle twice during our vacation and ate twice. The liver dumplings could have tasted a little more like liver; one of the three Viennese-style schnitzels was riddled with tendons. That was a bit unfortunate. But we were very satisfied with the goulash soup, spinach dumplings, knuckle meat, the pancakes and the salad. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back.

Without a reservation, we were assigned a table after about 15 minutes. The food was really very tasty. We had the knuckle, schnitzel, roast, dumplings, spaetzle and fries. There were 5 of us and everyone enjoyed it very much. I haven't eaten any better spaetzle. The gravy is really good too. We will definitely visit the restaurant again next time we visit the city.

Very traditional Algäuan family place, nice atmosphere. The service was extremely fast! From the moment I ordered till I got my plate in took like 4min! I ordered my favorite Bravarian dish, Spinat-Knödel, unfortunately the cheese sauce was not so good. Be sure to arrive early because the kitchen closes early as well. I added the menu for your convenience.

The visit to Nebelhorn was an absolutely great decision 👍🏾 we received a very friendly welcome despite the dog and the food and service left nothing to be desired ☺️

We always enjoy being there because everything is just right.

There were six of us there. It was delicious and cozy. I ate Bavarian sausage salad for 13.90 euros as a shared side salad and pork knuckle with potato dumplings and red cabbage for 17.50 euros.

A great place to eat something after jumping. Despite the crowds, we were served quickly and the food was really delicious.

Unfortunately, I haven't eaten worse food in a long time. We ordered goulash, pork shank, schnitzel and roast, the pork shank did not resemble pork shank because the meat was hard and tasteless. Beef goulash oversalted. The schnitzel was also oversalted and the breading was hard because it was deep-fried. Overall, I recommend but avoid this restaurant. And to the owners, you should change the oil more often when making French fries. If someone doesn't care about taste, they probably won't care. But if someone appreciates taste, I do not recommend this restaurant.

We were there twice within 4 days, and if we had stayed for a week, we would have gone a third time. The place is full, you have to be lucky to get a seat, but that shows the top quality of the restaurant. Well organized, very friendly staff and hearty German home cooking with lots of choices. Got the main course a minute after the last spoonful of my soup, even though the shop was full to the last chair on a Saturday evening.

Great atmosphere & hearty dishes. There is often live music and very nice staff. There are also plenty of seats in the winter garden and outside area.

The service was really good and prompt. We didn't get full from the daily special, which was probably smaller than the normal portions. But the waiter was clever and sold us a Kaiserschmarrn and we were already full. It was too much “clearance” for us.

We really liked it again - the service has the store under control and is always friendly and always has a funny saying and asks if everything is okay - rarely experienced so well. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The ambience is also exactly to our taste.

We had dinner with you yesterday, everything was great, the food tasted very good, the service and music were really great. We'd love to come back, even if it says Schalke in the display case😊But we hope that they'll be playing in the first league again soon, because the Revierderbies are missing a bit in Dortmund😃
