What we Hamburgers don't know is sharing the table with other guests. In our case it was great. On the one hand, we had a great time and on the other hand, the really nice couple saved us with cash: card payment was not possible. Otherwise you get exactly what it says on the tin. Hearty Bavarian in decent quality and quantity. The service is on point and friendly.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel and also the cordon bleu were almost tasteless, thanks to a lack of seasoning and extremely bland meat... What a shame.

To counteract the bad comments from yesterday, I'm also leaving a review: I came without a reservation and with a hungry child, we sat briefly at the bar while waiting. The little one was immediately brought something to paint. The staff was extremely friendly and cheerful, accommodating and even bought us ice cream. The food was delicious and anyone who talks about small portions can't be helped. There was also live music. At the end we were even given an umbrella because someone stole ours (I hope a truck drives through a puddle next to you). A successful evening for two city dwellers. Gladly again!

The quality of the food is very good. I had the mince, very tender and juicy meat, the crust could have been a little thinner and a little crispier in some places, but it was absolutely within a good range. On all online sites and also here on Google Maps it is shown that there is game (particularly with the name (Wilde Männle) there were often game dishes in the past. This has spread over the years It's probably changed over the years, so this time there wasn't a single game dish on the menu. The second deduction represents the quantity and the price behind it, especially for the side dishes. For the service and ambience, 1 star each. You used to be able to sit outside in a wind and setter protected area, today there was only a canopy and a back wall, we sat almost 3 meters away from the edges and still game and rain came in, it was cold. If such places are offered outside in the rain and wild, they should also absorb the said weather. The staff didn't come up with the idea of ​​offering you to sit down (all the seats here were occupied at the beginning, but later guests who didn't reserve were asked to come in because something had just become free.) Eating in a rain jacket and slightly wet Enjoying the wind wasn't all that great, but the quality was still okay for the price. However, we would probably not come back, the restaurant has deteriorated in all respects except the quality, but this is not enough for us to visit again in the near future.

Attention, no card payment possible (hence the service deduction). My brewer's goulash tasted great, especially the red cabbage had a tasty hint of cinnamon. However, for a hefty price of €20 I would expect a larger portion. There doesn't even have to be more of the meat, but I just think it's a shame to only deliver a dumpling, a ladle of red cabbage and just enough sauce, especially for the price. This would have been great as a senior plate.

The restaurant has a comprehensive menu that includes Bavarian specialties as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes. The service was friendly and had a positive demeanor. This meant that you immediately felt very comfortable there. I can highly recommend the restaurant.

I've eaten here several times over the last few years, but I've never been as disappointed as I was today. The taste is great, no question, but... If you can count the pieces of goulash on one hand and the red cabbage is manageable, you'll leave the table hungry. And now I hear the complaining that we have to address the basement etc... What's the use of telling the stressed out waiters this? This doesn't reach the desired places. And the people in charge care as long as the place is full... You hear that the portions have always been the same, nothing has changed, etc. There is still no refill 😜 It's a shame, but there are many other good restaurants in town. Addendum that card payment has not been possible for weeks was made at the end of August. In this day and age, a problem like this should be solved as quickly as possible, in the interests of the customers.

I've heard it's a must when visiting Oberstdorf. Attentive staff, cheap lunch. Food tastes very good. Often with live music in the evenings. A bit like the station hall, it echoes and is loud, there are more comfortable food restaurants in Oberstdorf. But the taste of the food is great.

We were on our E5 hike in Wilde Männle and were very excited. The waitresses are all super friendly and attentive and the food is great. There were 2 vegan dishes on the main menu and vegan side dishes to put together. The ambience and atmosphere are great. If we were back in Oberstdorf we would stop at the wild Männle again at any time.

You order the food and it comes after 5 minutes, that says it all. 08/15 food, little taste, not recommended. Red cabbage hard, potato salad weak, food not served hot.

Fast food like, check-in like at the chip shop. When I was told that I had a fly in my salad, there was no reaction. Reservation necessary!!!

After our hike we stopped there. They have a very nice outdoor area. We ate Kaiserschmarrn there, which we unfortunately cannot recommend. It was very dry and firm and tasted like it had been reheated. We complained about this to the waitress, who apologized and immediately gave us a tip on where to get the best Kaiserschmarrn in the region. And she was right. That was a bit strange, but thank you for the tip. Otherwise, the food there looked very good and the guests seemed satisfied.

We are more than thrilled! On August 14th we were guests here with our wedding party of 15 people. An entire room was kept free for us and decorated according to our wishes. The waiters were all friendly, quick and fulfilled our every wish. Food for 15! It was served to everyone less than 15 minutes after ordering and was delicious. The food was good, except for the no longer fresh sprouts, which have no place as a garnish on a schnitzel. What left me completely speechless was that you could NOT pay by card. Even though there were stickers on the front door and no information on the menu anywhere, I was refused payment by card. I had to walk 14 minutes (round trip) to the nearest bank and make my family wait unnecessarily in the restaurant to pay with cash. Unfortunately, it's really like the Middle Ages. Even Alps now offer card payments. Every normal merchant would add the fees for card payments to the prices. The service was still friendly and the toilets were clean. Unfortunately for me this is a reason not to eat there anymore because of this payment policy and this mismanagement of information. That alone is enough for me to give it one star rating.

Thanks to a reservation, we were able to get to our table relatively quickly, despite the long queue in front of the beer garden. Unfortunately, the reservation didn't need anything (except for the table), because the restaurant was so busy that it took forever for the waiter to come over to take the drinks. When they were finally on the table, it felt like it took twice as long for the food to be ordered and brought to the table. Don't get me wrong, when it's busy, we understand that it can't be done in a flash for every table, but with this waiting time, either more employees or fewer guests are needed. When our daughter's food came, she was already so exhausted that hunger, tiredness and boredom from the long wait had completely taken her away. Except for what we ate, she gave everything back. For food, super tasty, large menu, good prices. There's really nothing to complain about. The ambience, typical beer garden atmosphere with live music. The tables were a bit too close for my taste and I kept bumping into one of the neighbors. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, just to admire, but since we sat outside, that was irrelevant. Conclusion: I would give it another chance locally, if I had to wait that long again it would be off the list. The best food is of no use if you have to think about whether you want to order something else or whether you would rather leave because it takes too long for it to be delivered.

Very attentive service, food was great

The service was the highlight here. From the beginning, every wish was read from our lips. They always remained friendly and even made lots of jokes. The mood was very good. Likewise the food, which was served quickly. Of all things, it took the smallest one the longest (she had to wait another 5 minutes after the last one had already received their food), but the gift campaign made us forget everything :).

The food was disappointing: the seasonal menu of chanterelles seemed to come from the freezer, no fresh produce was used. The fish was gray and bland, and the croquettes were dripping with grease and sticky. The dish was inedible. When we mentioned this, the waiter reacted rudely and ignored us when we tried to call him to pay. We ended up having everything returned and not paying.

A really nice place in Oberstdorf to eat, drink and relax. With a single exception, the employees are really quick and attentive and there is a lot of laughter, among themselves and with the guests. Beer garden with a great atmosphere, very clean. Food perfectly fine. We'd love to come back!

Every summer we go to Oberstdorf with our 2 school children and eat at Wilden Männle almost every evening. Sitting outside is wonderful (thankfully it's shady in the evenings), there is regular Bavarian live music, the Bavarian cuisine and the beer are great! The rooms inside are great too. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for a hearty Bavarian sponge🙂 (you could only add a little more choice for the desserts)

Inside everything is rustically furnished but it fits the Bavarian style. From the outside, however, the economy looks really nice. We felt comfortable and would still like to pay a visit next time. Hello, I was lucky to find a spot right under a large sunflower at this popular restaurant. I really enjoyed the Bavarian sausage salad and the non-alcoholic beer. Now I have to leave, but I'll definitely come back.

The food was really excellent (!), the knuckle was A1 - and I have experience with knuckles. Local live music nice and discreet in the background. What can I say - thank you for the great holiday evening!

We also went to the Wilder Männle twice during this holiday. Price/performance top. Taste very good. Very child-friendly (coloring sheets, pens, and finally a lollipop). However, it is advisable to reserve a table. A restaurant this good is of course always very busy.
