Very nice staff, good quality food. Often during the week with live music, the price/performance ratio is definitely justified. The oven-fresh roast pork and the ox cheeks are highly recommended, although this is not stated anywhere Card payment only from 30€!!!

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is on the ball. But you have to know that it is heavily geared towards tourist processing and that affects the quality of the food. The Kas Spatzn were bland with a boring cheese mixture instead of flavorful mountain cheese. As already mentioned here, the Kaiserschmarren was really disappointing, it is more of a sweet, sticky cake than fluffy dough. The asparagus was very good - on point! The mushroom sauce with bread dumplings was also good. Other dishes were rather average. I found it sad that one of our 30-strong troupe was denied a glass of tap water. We really made enough money and also ordered other drinks, so they could have provided some tap water, as is common elsewhere in Germany. Another bummer was that a person was charged a €2 surcharge for changing the supplement to a much cheaper supplement. That just leaves a bad aftertaste, there's a bit of humanity missing and you can't shake the feeling that it's just about money. Luckily we didn't have to pay anything to breathe ;) Otherwise there was live music, anyone who likes to sway will have fun there. Another plus point is the speed: we didn't have to wait long for our food. Personally, I prefer to wait longer and then have something really good. All in all - quite OK but there are better alternatives.

The service was excellent! The room maybe a bit big and loud. Unfortunately, the Kässpatzen tasted very neutral. The cheese was bland and the fried onions were dark but somehow soggy. There was much better in Oberstdorf. The Kaiserschmarrn was also very disappointing. Apparently people produce it in large quantities and then break it into small pieces. The results are small, dense lumps from a loaf pan(?) that completely lack any fluffiness.

The restaurant is typically Bavarian and, above all, delicious! The cheese spaetzle and the meat loaf were super tasty and, above all, very inexpensive given the portion size. Clear recommendation from us.

We stumbled across this restaurant after a walk in Breitachklamm. The first impression is a beautiful garden, very crowded due to live music, nice staff who immediately reserved seats for us. The typical Allgäu dishes are delicious and served quite quickly. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Super nice beer garden. In the evening with Bavarian live music. Food was great. Price-performance ratio very good. The service was very attentive and funny. The ambience is fantastic with a view of the mountains and the beautiful old Bavarian houses.

Haxe was already old. I could barely chew the meat in some places. The crust looked good, but was difficult to cut.

Had an onion roast today... the roasted onions were cold and suitably rubbery. The onion roast was also not warm and was medium tender. The cheese spaetzle was great. If you like house music with yodeling, you've come to the right place 🙄

Very nice and tasty restaurant. The food and drinks were delivered to the table very quickly after ordering. The only drawback is that the owners are Schalke fans. 🙃 But it doesn’t change the good food!

We stayed at the Wilden Männle in Oberstdorf and absolutely loved it! The Allgäuer Käsespätzle were super tasty – exactly how you want them: hearty, cheesy and simply delicious. Plus a fresh light beer – perfect! The ambience is rustic and cozy, with great live music that creates a really atmospheric atmosphere. The service was also consistently friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and can only warmly recommend the Wilde Männle. A real insider tip in Oberstdorf!

Super friendly staff on every corner. Initially we were warmly invited to the bar to have a drink and wait for a free table. After 5 minutes there was already one free during peak time and we sat inside. On Mondays and Wednesdays with our own house music, it was a really great, wonderful Bavarian atmosphere and we had a lot of fun. The menu is very tasty, including some vegetarian dishes. We will come back next time we visit the great Oberstdorf.

Always a good address. A bit hectic atmosphere, but understandable due to the high number of guests. Very popular with tourists, the food is usually really good. Service friendly, attentive and sometimes with its own entertainment value. All in all, always happy.

Beautiful restaurant with authentic and solid Allgäu cuisine. Service top notch! Almost everything tastes good here! Only the Kaiserschmarren was inedible. The dough unfortunately resembled a dry cake drowned in almond syrup and was unfortunately the worst we had in the Allgäu.

We visited Wilde Männle and were absolutely thrilled with the food and the very attentive and fast service. We had the gourmet pan and a steak: both were great!! The fries are also simply a dream: well seasoned and crunchy. :) For dessert there was of course Kaiserschmarren and a Wilde Männle apricot snack. We will come back! See you next year. :P

The terrace is a bit uncomfortable. More focused on mass rush.

Unfortunately, the waiter completely ignored us 3 times (!) and didn't even take any drinks within 30 minutes. There was only one other table occupied. We got up and moved on disappointed. It's a shame ☹️

The wild man keeps his promises. The selection of food is large, the service is quick and friendly. The knuckle that was eaten was a dream. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. We were able to sit down in the beer garden with our four-legged friend without any problems. And we were spoiled by the weather and the cuisine. If you like something hearty, you'll find it here. If you are attracted by the good Allgäu cuisine, you should not miss the wild little man.

I was there many years ago, had Wiener Schnitzel and was thrilled. This time, however, it wasn't good. No comparison to before. The Kaiserschmarrn my companion ordered was also bad. Was completely returned, but didn't have to be paid for. It's a shame, but maybe we just had a bad day. But our service was very friendly.

Very nice sunny terrace and also very cozy and stylish inside. Menu reads well, not overpriced, but reasonable.

All in all, an OKAY stay with quite good food, but unfortunately nothing more. My companion and I were generally greeted very nicely, we asked for a table and were allowed to move around again. We had prompt service, which we were able to put off for a bit, the drinks came quickly, as we all know, the Allgäu Büble beer is now part of a large brewery, you would wish for something more local. For dinner we ordered the Allgäu onion roast with cheese spaetzle (medium) €29.90, and half a pork knuckle €18.50 with an additional side salad. The food came after about 10-15 minutes. The meat was just medium rare, closer to well done and yet quite firm, with hardly any salt or pepper. The bite of the spaetzle was okay, but unfortunately it was no longer “schlonzig” at the table. Unfortunately the cheese was VERY convenience, probably a mixture of Gouda and Emmental, definitely not mountain cheese, but at least not cream. Fried onions and sauce were okay. My companion's pork knuckle was okay, crispy. The dumplings seemed to be too sour just before the tipping point, perhaps they had been left uncooked in the kitchen for a little too long on the rather warm spring day. At the same time, a 2-man band played everything from “Marina” to classic folk 3/4 time. All in all, “OK”, but really not worth repeating given the relatively high price.

The food was really perfect. Went there with a larger group and ordered a variety of dishes on the menu. Everyone was spot on!

I've heard it's a must when visiting Oberstdorf. Attentive staff, cheap lunch. Food tastes very good. Often with live music in the evenings. A bit like the station hall, it echoes and is loud, there are more comfortable food restaurants in Oberstdorf. But the taste of the food is great.

An utimate traditional Algäuan place, with some amazing foods and beer. The service was good, the ambience is warm and cozy. Definately a must go place. I had this dish posted in the the picture below..it was amazing.."Schnitzel Cordon bleu"

Disappointing! The schnitzel was not good at all, the meat was not of quality and the breading was poorly obtained and the fries were very salty, you couldn't eat them! We didn't like the very dry knuckle either. The atmosphere in general was good, but the service was very fair, they didn't even bother to bring the bill, they only gave us a global price without detailing the dishes, without a printed receipt or proof of payment. Very low price/quality ratio: High price for low quality. I wouldn't recommend it!!

The schnitzel with the fries was delicious. The service was taciturn and less on the ball. After we first looked at the menu and didn't want to order straight away, we had to wait a long time. Likewise when we wanted to pay the bill.

Arguably one of the best restaurants in Oberstdorf. Highly recommend the beef cheeks and the shoulder of beef.

The price/performance ratio was also good... not cheap, but for Oberstdorf, the quality, etc., was absolutely OK. The beef cheeks that my wife ate were also very tasty...

Ate goulash soup and Kaiserschmarn for lunch. Service good, soup great. Kaiserschmarn was ok but could have been a little fluffier. But it's a matter of taste.

You have to eat there. If you are on vacation and want to eat something from down there, you should pay a visit there. The daily specials are worth it. Whole and half knuckle on offer. I can only recommend this. A whole knuckle is enough for almost two people.

Been coming here for many years. Despite the change of ownership a few years ago, still highly recommended. Food top (quality, taste, price) - also a great children's menu! Always very friendly staff 😀 The interior is very cluttered, every space is actually used. Reservation recommended!

All dishes were very tasty and prepared quickly. The service staff is very friendly and on the ball. The price-performance ratio is not cheap, but due to the good quality of the food it is absolutely reasonable We can absolutely recommend the restaurant and would go there again in a heartbeat. That's why we give it 5 stars

Great food and drinks! Everything is freshly prepared and served. There are great and incredibly tasty game dishes here but also other great and hearty dishes. You won't be disappointed here at Wilde Männle and it's worth eating out several times. You can hear beautiful Allgäu music several times a week. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

On a day trip to the cheese festival we had lunch at Wilde Männle. My wife had the Friday special half duck while I opted for the beef liver with mashed potatoes. Both tasted excellent. In addition, friendly, not to say warm, service. It should actually be self-evident, but unfortunately it isn't. The food wasn't cheap, but it was in line with today's prices. And it's actually relatively cheap when you compare it with prices in other Oberstdorf restaurants, which border on usury. We are planning another trip to Oberstdorf in May and will probably go there again (as we have done in recent years).

Better food and friendly service is not possible here in Oberstdorf. The quality is top. The waiter always has a joke on his lips without becoming presumptuous. Always a pleasure and a visit that is worth it. Important ! Book a table in advance as it is very busy. If you're lucky, you might be able to find accommodation spontaneously. Basically yes! An excellent meal paired with attentive service! Super good until checkout! Really really good,...keep it up!!! We expressed our desire to pay to our waitress with the reference to card payment. After that it seemed as if they didn't want to concede anything to us. Our waitress checked in on three tables around us, brought drinks and food and took orders. When we remembered after 10 minutes, he told us that the colleague would be coming soon....when I asked again after another 5 minutes when we could expect payment, he replied that the colleague was at the table himself, but would be with us in a moment?!?!?!? Not a single syllable was used to explain why everything was charged, except for us... after the waiting time became too long for us, we went to the counter to pay there... Then a waitress came with our receipt?!? When asked about the circumstances, he said succinctly and apologetically that he had just eaten himself and could now collect. When asked about the unreasonably long waiting time and the fact that there was enough staff available, he didn't respond... I was so perplexed that I forgot to leave a tip... I had never experienced anything so disorganized before.... It's a shame!!!!!!

My father and I went to this restaurant 2 days in a row. We enjoyed the lovely service of Leoni B. What a joy 😄. The food was really nice. The second time we went there, there was live music on a accordion, which gave you even more the feeling of being in Bavaria. Thank you also to the musician 🪗😃. We can recommend this place 😃.

I ate beef liver with mashed potatoes. Delicious. Large dining room, fast service, very friendly and accommodating. Everything very clean. You should make reservations for dinner.

We've been to the Wilder Männle several times now and we've always really enjoyed it. The food and service are great. There is live music every other evening, which is really great and creates a good atmosphere. Of course, this also makes it a bit louder in general. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, as the inn is almost always full and the tables are double occupied.

I can only recommend it. The staff was super friendly and the food was a dream! I have never eaten such good goulash.

An absolutely lovely evening with good food. Reservations are easily possible online. It worked out perfectly. Strongly recommended as the restaurant is very busy. Service very good, friendly and accommodating. The food was very good. Homemade spaetzle, bread dumplings and red cabbage/red cabbage. Nothing out of the box. Despite the full house, we didn't wait long for the food. We would definitely come again.

We were there on Monday. My wife had the Schäufele and I had the neck steak, both of which were very tasty. We booked a table again for Wednesday, why look for something else and then possibly be disappointed. We can recommend the restaurant.

A very nice inn that combines modern and rustic furnishing styles. Very comfortable. We made reservations for my mother's birthday. The table was very lovingly designed. The food (onion roast and cordon bleu) is very good and changes are addressed immediately. The waiter (Arthur, I think) was attentive, friendly and accommodating despite being busy. Price/performance is more than reasonable and the portions are plentiful. Mega. We felt very comfortable there and will be happy to come back when the opportunity arises. A very clear recommendation from us

We had the liver dumpling soup, a Schäufele, a Viennese-style schnitzel, the Käsespatzn and the spinach dumpling. Everything was delicious, all portions were large and sufficient. Kudos to the kitchen. We particularly liked the service. Everything worked out and it happened incredibly quickly.

The restaurant was highly recommended to us by our hotel. We were warmly welcomed and were given a place straight away. The waiters and waitresses are VERY attentive and prompt. As soon as we sat at our table, we placed our drink order. It didn't take two minutes before they were standing in front of us. The menu is well-stocked and very clearly laid out. You'd think there's something for everyone! I ate cheese spaetzle, my partner a turkey schnitzel with fries. It was very good! We recommend everyone who visits Obersdorf to stop there at least once! Many thanks to the entire team for the time we were able to spend there. - We'll definitely come back. PS: everyone drinks the apricot diligently. I would like to say that I am not a difficult customer. But when I'm asked if everything is okay, I'm honest. I had the Cordon Bleu, side ordering from potato salad to fries (for €2). On my meat I had a strip of cartilage/rind about 8 cm long. I showed this to the waitress. She said she'll pass this on to the kitchen. She reported back from the kitchen that this could happen. The cook probably wouldn't have seen or noticed this when he was beating and folding. It's incomprehensible to me how you couldn't notice that. The waitress was very friendly and apologized several times, but there was nothing more she could do. Mistakes can happen, but it depends on how you deal with them. For me, there was no place for justification; a concession (even if it had only been the change in the supplement that was not charged and an apology) would probably have been more appropriate here. At least I have to say that my partner's roast beef was very good.

A restaurant with a long-established flair in Oberstdorf. In principle mass processing, but there is simply no other way there. Nevertheless, I would like to give a lot of praise to our waiter “Erenik”. Wow, I haven't received such warm service in Oberstdorf for a long time. The boy is worth his weight in gold! His way of dealing with guests is incredibly warm. You're not really a guest, you're immediately a kind of friend. Erenik turns even the usually very mundane serving of food into an experience. Only through very small things that don't cost the company time or money. Simply great. Please keep it up, Erenik!!! You are a true asset to Oberstdorfer Service! We were your guests on January 18, 2025. The three “chaoters” who first sat at the counter and then Erenik served us at the table. Thank you very much for your great service! P.S. Only the “Wilde Männle Pfanne”, which bears your name, was rather subpar! But Erenik can't help it :). The rest was great!
