Came in spontaneously for a beer. We even got space for six people. service was friendly and helpful. We didn't eat anything ourselves, but the food that came out looked great

We have had so many celebrations there over the last 35 years. Confirmations, a wedding, birthdays, Christmas, but also various meetings after funerals. It was always beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The last time I was there was the day before yesterday and I wasn't so happy about how beautiful everything was. Still homely and the food is good, there is now also something for vegetarians and vegans. I'm so happy about that. I hope you stay as great and for a long time. A great team, great bosses, it's always like coming home. Thank you for 35 years of celebrating, mourning and eating well in your hands.💜

Unfortunately, since the Kunz takeover, it is no longer what the Mühlheimer wanted to expect from the Dahlheimer quality. Just plain shabby. Overpriced food doesn't come close to meeting what is offered and actually expected. The quality of the material used is also inferior and even worse processed Vegetarian food at the same price as inferior venison goulash, the tofu for the veggie meal was unacceptably hard and inedible. What happens to you here is not even more than ordinary, but simply bad and completely unacceptable. Completely overrated location, this forester's house, quality is completely different. Thank you also for the appropriate mass processing. It's time to get off your high horse, Mr. Kunz. Well, the main thing is that the table decorations were pretty (from what I read here) DISASTER.

For the first time in years I picked up food (roulades) from the forester's lodge. Both my wife and I really enjoyed it. The service was very friendly. It couldn't be better.

Very nice service from all employees, quick service, the food was very tasty. The parking situation deducted a star from the service. But that's absolutely no reason not to stop by and have a good time there.

We had a small family celebration and were completely satisfied. The arrangements worked very well and the decoration was also as we had imagined. The food was excellent and everyone found something that suited them. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service and the outstanding friendliness of the staff! We felt completely comfortable, thank you very much!

Attention, the restaurant is on holiday. I mean until October 29th. Unfortunately, this is not on their homepage. Too bad

Nice friendly, attentive staff. Highly expensive and not always entirely appropriate. The service was attentive and the drinks and food were brought quickly. Dogs allowed. There is a day ticket and a normal ticket. Forsthaus Burger: (11.50): I found the price OK here. I found the coleslaw a bit salty. However, the meat in the burger lacked a bit of seasoning. The wave fries were great. Pyre (12.80): The salad was great. The two pork schnitzels also lacked a bit of seasoning and tasted more like fried pressed meat than like pork pan-fried in oil. Shrimp pan (22.50!!!): It was really more expensive and also very garlicky. The shrimp were in the pan for too long and were therefore a bit rubbery. Hygiene: Masks were required and at least they were adhered to. The disinfection frey at the entrance was exhausted. We were a larger group and came twice. In the first case, the vaccination certificate was checked at least once, but not in connection with, for example, the person. The second group was no longer checked at all. This is simply negligent at this point. Conclusion: The staff is nice, I think the prices are sometimes too high for what you get. Everything just has to be right, and unfortunately it doesn't always happen.

I can only repeat myself: Delicious food, good portions - perfect price-performance ratio! Nice, attentive and friendly service and a very cozy atmosphere - beautiful, large beer garden.

We ordered catering for our wedding in August 2024 here. Our company of around 80 people had excellent food, it was really tasty. Organizationally, everything ran smoothly and professionally. Individual requests were addressed very well. And all of this at a really fair price. Clear 5 stars and a clear recommendation.

Overall our food was okay. The portions are rather small. In our opinion, price-performance doesn't quite fit. The waitress for our table was in a good mood and very friendly. The other employees we observed seemed grumpy and unmotivated.

Nice restaurant in the forest, large, beautiful beer garden with some trees and umbrellas. There's also a nice atmosphere inside. Friendly service, dishes are good home-style but some have been rethought and upgraded. The taste was really good.

Introduction: We had been guests at the restaurant several times. We liked the atmosphere here. The beer garden is spacious and the guest room is generously furnished. The menu is full of many delicacies and doesn't promise too much. The food itself is extremely tasty, completely sufficient and served quickly by the friendly staff. Bulk: We therefore decided that the Forsthaus should take care of the catering for our wedding. This decision was the only right one. The preliminary discussion and recommendations from the boss were top notch. The catering was delivered on time and the setup in the background was unnoticeable. The meal started on time. Without exception, the presentation and excellent taste were praised. Nothing was missing. Conclusion: I can recommend the Forsthaus with a clear conscience. For whatever occasion. Whether a visit to the beer garden or for dinner on a festive occasion. Thanks Mandy!

We came back hungry and thirsty from a very hot excursion and mobilized all our spirits again in the shade of the cozy beer garden :-). Highly recommended !

Wir hatten für unsere 45 Gäste das Catering von Fam. Kunz gewählt. Schon im Vorfeld bei der Speisenauswahl hat man gemerkt das hier mit viel Herz gearbeitet wird. Man ist auf unsere Wünsche, die bestimmt nicht alltäglich waren, sehr schön eingegangen. Auch eine kurzfristige Korrektur unserer Bestellung war nicht im Ansatz ein Problem. Die Anlieferung und Präsentation war nahezu spurlos und sehr gelungen. Die Abholung am nächsten Tag ebenso super organisiert. Das größte Lob haben wir von unseren Gästen erhalten, die allesamt sehr sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen waren. Zumal da auch einige der Gäste aus der Gastronomie dabei waren. Macht weiter so, dann bestellen wir gerne wieder bei Ihnen.

We chose catering from the Kunz family for our 45 guests. Even in advance when choosing the food, you could tell that a lot of heart was put into the work here. Our wishes, which were certainly not commonplace, were very well taken into account. Even a short-term correction to our order wasn't even remotely a problem. The delivery and presentation was almost without a trace and very successful. The collection the next day was also very well organized. We received the greatest praise from our guests, who were all very, very satisfied with the food. Especially since some of the guests from the catering industry were also there. Keep it up and we'll be happy to order from you again.

We arrived in the afternoon and easily found a wonderful spot in the beer garden, which is picturesquely located on the edge of the forest. The menu offered a tempting selection and we chose the fresh beef tartare and the Dutch herring fillet with fried potatoes. Both dishes were not only a delight in terms of taste, but also visually a real feast for the eyes. The presentation of the food deserves special mention – it was simply impressive! To top it all off, we treated ourselves to an affogato al caffè as dessert, which tasted fantastic. We also ordered two medlars, which were served in a great container - a real feast for the eyes and a tickle for the palate at the same time. The friendly and attentive staff contributed significantly to our pleasant stay. Her courteous manner and warmth rounded off the experience perfectly. Conclusion: The “zum Forsthaus” is an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy excellent cuisine in a charming ambience. From the main courses to the dessert and the digestifs – everything is just right here. We will definitely come back!

Very nice beer garden on the edge of the forest. Parking lots available. Nice beer garden, food and drinks fit. Prices for the main courses were quite high, but I only ate small items. Sweet potato fries were very good.

Very tasty (!), nice to sit outside too, reasonably priced, portions suitable for the little guests, a playground and stools in the toilet for washing your hands. Unfortunately there are a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, so it's better to bring AntiBrum, Autan, etc. with you and use them as a precaution.

Spontaneously went to the beer garden with friends on Whit Monday. We all had different meals, everyone was full and satisfied. It's very comfortable to sit in the garden, with lots of shaded areas. The employees were quick and friendly. What more do you want. Gladly again (it was my first time there).

We celebrated our wedding at the Forsthaus and it exceeded all of our expectations. The Kunz family helped us greatly with the preparations and made the day very special with creative ideas. I definitely recommend the chia pudding with mint dressing. A dream in spring!

The location outside and where it is located is very beautiful. The service communicates with guests at the counter, which is not possible in my opinion. The service was only attentive or inquiring when it came to serve or clear away. Unfortunately my fried potatoes were only lukewarm. But the prices are great.

Ich hatte eine Mirinda bestellt, die Flasche war schon offen als die Bedienung sie brachte. Im laufe des Abends habe ich gesehen dass es Orangenlimonade in in einer "Mezzo Mix" Flasche war. Der Beilagensalat war versalzen, wobei beim Schnitzel das Gewürz vergessen wurde.

I am reducing my rating to 4 stars due to the massive increase in prices. I'm not prepared to spend 5.10 euros on a 0.5 liter beer and 6.50 euros on a bottle of water. You can buy a beer for half a liter between 0.8 and 1.10 euros. Do you really have to use a factor of 5 or 6 as a price calculation? Last year I was there once a week in the summer and drank 2 large beers for lunch. That will be canceled this year. Sorry, live and let live. It's definitely not the VAT. ........................... Very well-kept beer garden and great menu. The lunch menu with 2 different dishes for 8.50 euros including a dessert is absolutely world class. In addition, a freshly prepared meal is served on the table. The prices are also completely reasonable. You can recommend Doese’s restaurant with a clear conscience. We'd love to come back.

5.10 € for one wheat. But hello.

We were there again after a long time and are unfortunately quite disappointed. No napkins at the table, they were only available upon request The Wiener Schnitzel was sometimes very tough. The side salad was lettuce. Mine root and only inadequately washed. Crunching while eating is not good. My chop was very good. But the rosemary potatoes as a side dish weren't even served. Unfortunately, when asked, these were out. The fried potatoes served as a substitute were limp and not seasoned. All in all very disappointing. We probably won't be back any time soon.

Oh my God. We were here for my mother's 75th birthday. Hoping to eat deliciously. Unfortunately, this hope was nipped in the bud. First, the ambience. Anyone who likes the eighties will get their money's worth. The tables look like McDonalds from the early 80s. Like Mäcke's, there are no tablecloths. The paper napkins are also on a fast food level. It has probably been at least two decades since smoking was no longer allowed in restaurants. Unfortunately the ceiling doesn't know that...totally full of nicotine. Salt and pepper shakers (without salt inside) and a plastic flower on the table reflect the owner's penchant for perfectionism. Also the China LED tea light...tre chicqe. To eat. And that, who can believe it, fits the ambience. We had fillet steak twice with a side dish. Once with fries, once with fried potatoes. Plus a small salad. When the order was placed, medium rare was requested...meat was brutally fried to death in both cases. Fries were in the deep fryer for far too long, fried potatoes were black on one side and cheesy raw on the other. Herb butter is served in a boiled marrow bone on the plate. Not everyone likes it either. Onions had color but were raw. Side salad clearly bagged. Radichio, lamb's lettuce, iceberg, all not even cut into smaller pieces, garnished with a tasteless dressing water sauce. Last but not least, fortunately after dinner, the entire guesthouse was filled with a burnt smell. Without words... Oh well... The fillet steaks we ordered cost €33 each. The kicker: When I got dressed in the cloakroom, there was neither a goodbye nor a thank you! WOW! Conclusion: It's simply rude how you get ripped off here.

Yesterday I was able to enjoy the catering from this restaurant at a christening. The food was sensational! I cook well myself and am always very excited when something is served to me. Here someone knows their craft completely. Everything was excellently seasoned and cooked to perfection. The salads were all well seasoned and balanced. Not too bland and not too sour either. The chicken roulade is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The cooked vegetables were still crunchy and very tasty. It's a shame we live so far away from you. But... next time I'm in the area again, I'll stop by here. Thanks!!!

Heute bekamen wir ein großartiges Silvestermenü. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Heute ist wieder Silvester. Das Essen, der Service und das Ambiente ist noch immer wunderbar. Es ist sehr empfehlenswert! Ich kann nur Dankeschön sagen.

Wie immer sehr lecker und super schnell. Dazu eine nette Bedienung. Immer wieder gerne.

Ein sehr leckeres Menü und ein zuvorkommender Service. Die Ausstattung ist allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Vielen herzlichen Dank für dieses wundervolle Mittagessen! Schon beim betreten fällt auf, dass hier viel Liebe zum Detail besteht. Überall findet man hier wirklich schöne und warme Dekoration. Wir wurden auch direkt freundlich begrüßt und bekamen unseren Tisch gezeigt (ohne Reservierung). Die Tageskarte und die normale Speisekarte lagen schon bereit, so dass wir direkt schauen konnten wonach uns der Sinn steht. Die Gerichte kamen auch in angemessener Zeit und jeder Teller war liebevoll und sehr anschaulich angerichtet. Geschmacklich war alles schön aufeinander abgestimmt und wirklich sehr lecker! Vielen Dank !

Wir waren heute zum Gans-Essen. Es war sehr lecker, haben auch noch kostenlos Klöße und Rotkraut nach bestellen können. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Waren hier schon öfters und waren mit allem immer sehr zufrieden. Das Lokal sehr empfehlenswert

Leckeres Essen, leider etwas kleine Portionen für den Preis. Leider gab es bei der letzten Bestellung zur Abholung einige Fehler (Salzkartoffeln statt der bestellen Pommes als Beilage, bei den bestellen Süßkartoffelpommes fehlte das eigentlich laut Karte dazugehörige Mayo).

I had a delightful experience trying the Wednesday BBQ special at this restaurant. Normally, I wouldn't opt for such a dish at a German restaurant because previous attempts at other places weren't up to par, but this spot truly impressed me with its well-prepared and delicious offering. The outdoor seating area adds to the overall charm, but it's worth noting that it might not be the best choice for a nighttime meal due to the abundance of flying insects. Nevertheless, the attentive and speedy service team ensured that my evening was enjoyable, even on a night when the restaurant was nearly half full.

Schöner Biergarten, leider mussten wir aufgrund eines Wolkenbruchs (kann das Restaurant nichts dafür :-)) in den Innenbereich wechseln . Innenbereich erinnert mich an eine Mensa, zu groß und der Schall verbreitet sich im ganzen Raum. Hinter uns war eine Lampe kaputt, somit blinkte es noch die ganze Zeit was mich persönlich komplett aus der Ruhe gebracht hat. Servicequalität ok... mehr nicht. Rustikale Umgangsweise. Auf Nachfrage nach einem Dip zur Vorspeise / Brot wurde mir ein kurzes und knappes nein gereicht. Vorspeise stand lange herum da sich Service und Küche nicht einig waren . Salat wurde bei einigen Gerichten vergessen und Chlli Mango Dip zum Hänchen war ein French Dressing . Qualität und Geschmack der Speisen durchweg gut. Preise auch ok. Ich würde sagen kein Grund nicht nochmal zu kommen, jedoch nicht sofort. Das braucht ein bisschen zum verdauen.

Auch bei 33°C schönes Ambiente. Super freundliches Personal und selbst der einfache Handkäse war top. Kann man nur empfehlen, genauso wie zu reservieren.

The best green sauce ( Frankfurter grüne Soße) I ever ate. Ambient, service and food everything great. Very comfortable place, friendly staff, people can pay with card & they do have a vegan food. A must visit place.

Leider war es sehr chaotisch, hatten einen bestimmten Tisch reserviert der dann doch vergeben war. 10 min. Später haben wir uns irgendwo hingesetzt da das Personal selbst nicht wusste was los ist. Das Personal war unfreundlich. Das Essen war für den Hohen Preis leider nicht angemessen. Das Fleisch trocken und die Bratkartoffeln schmeckten, als ob sie den ganzen Tag rumstanden.

Ich war schon lange nicht mehr hier. Es hat sich gelohnt. Halbe Ente mit 2 Klößen und Rotkraut. Und das allerbeste, eine eingedickte braune Soße. So gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Das Fleisch löste sich von selbst vom Knochen, knusprig. Die Klöße garantiert selbst gemacht. Und das Rotkraut hatte einen wunderbaren Zimtgeschmack, aber nicht übertrieben. Und das alles für sagenhafte 21,50 €. Toller aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, schön im Garten gesessen. Kaum haben wir uns für einen Tisch entschieden, kam schon die Servicekraft und brachte dicke Sitzkissen. Ein absolut gelungener Mittag.
