Zum Forsthaus in Mühlheim am Main

Wir waren am Freitag das erste Mal dort Essen, das Tolle Ambiente von außen schon zu sehen. Das Essen hat höchste Qualität die man schmeckt! Wir werden dieses Restaurant als unser neues „Stamm lokal“ ab jetzt regelmäßig besuchen! 😊

Update vom 03.08.26 Die veganen Gerichte waren fantastisch. Ambiente und Service trugen zu einem tollen Erlebnis bei. —————/////————- Die beste grüne Soße (Frankfurter Grüne Soße), die ich je gegessen habe. Ambiente, Service und Essen – alles super. Sehr gemütliches Lokal, freundliches Personal, Kartenzahlung möglich und vegane Gerichte werden angeboten. Ein absolutes Muss!

Ein so umfangreiche Speisekarte hatte ich in einem Biergarten nicht erwartet. Sie verstehen was von Küche und gutem Essen. Als gebürtige Schwarzwälderin vermisse ich diese Qualität in Hessen leider häufig, zumindest im Biergarten. Wir hatten nur eine Vorspeise, weil wir am Nachmittag da waren und sie war sehr lecker die hessische Bruschetta. Und macht auch satt durch den Handkäse 😃! Diesen Ort werd ich mir merken, auch fuer eine Geburtstagsfeier zum Beispiel. Nah am Wald, und unter großen alten Bäumen, ein perfektes Ziel fuer heiße Tage im Anschluss an einen Waldspaziergang.

Ist ok... Preise entsprechen der Qualität und wenn man selbst nicht kochen kann, lohnt es sich herzukommen. Ist halt einfach gehalten alles.

Essen und Getränke vom Preis angemessen. Die Erwartungen waren halt höher. Kann man mal machen; aber nicht so oft. Man gab sich Mühe, was die Bedienung betrifft. Das Schnitzel hätte halt etwas knuspriger und grösser sein können. Ich würde irgendwann schon mal wieder hingehen

Familienfeier im Biergarten. Super schön unter Bäumen. Vegetarische Auswahl ist ok, aber vor allem super lecker (Bowl) Service sehr bemüht und freundlich. Positiver Nebeneffekt: Wickeltisch mit Feuchttüchern vorhanden, Hochstuhl und großzügiger Kinderspielplatz Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden.

Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker! Sowohl die Qualität, als auch die Portionsgrößen sind perfekt! Die Bedienung ist klasse! Immer wieder gerne!

Die Gaststätte bietet einen netten Biergarten mit ausreichend Schattenplätzen. Ein großes Plus ist die durchgängige Öffnungszeit mit ganztägiger Küche. Das Essen (bürgerlich) war bei unserem Besuch in Ordnung, nichts Besonderes, aber auch nichts zu beanstanden. Die Preise sind fair, insgesamt waren wir zufrieden.

Private Geburtstagsfeier, 20 Personen. Essen vom Gastgeber gut ausgewählt.

Heute haben wir meinen Geburtstag im schönen Biergarten im Forsthaus gefeiert. Es war schön eingedeckt und es gab vorab einen tollen Gruß aus der Küche. Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt und der Service war zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und schnell. Rundum waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Leckere Speisen und ein schöner Biergarten. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind werden wir wieder kommen.

Es gibt eine ausgeprägte kulinarische Arroganz, die einen Feiertag als Ausrede nutzt, um zahlende Gäste wie Vieh zu behandeln. Mein kürzlicher Besuch in der Gaststätte „Zum Forsthaus“ am Muttertag war ein Paradebeispiel für diese Philosophie. Wir kamen mit einer wochenlang im Voraus gesicherten Reservierung an und erlebten einen strukturellen Verrat: Die Speisekarte war stark gekürzt worden. Dies war eine zynische Strategie der Massenproduktion, die bis zu unserem Platznehmen geheim gehalten wurde. Die Atmosphäre: Ein Chaos Der Speisesaal strahlte die Ruhe einer Börse aus. Das unterbesetzte Personal kommunizierte durch lautes Gebrüll über die Köpfe der Gäste hinweg. Größere Gruppen wurden untergebracht, indem man sie aggressiv zusammenpferchte, sodass sie sich bis auf die Gänge drängten und jeder vorbeigehende Kellner zum Ziel von Gedränge wurde. Es war ein hektisches, lautes und zutiefst unangenehmes Theater des Stresses. Die kulinarische Erzählung: Schnelligkeit vor Substanz Unsere Getränke kamen prompt, fast unmittelbar gefolgt vom Essen; eine Geschwindigkeit, die ein völliges Fehlen von Ruhe und Ordnung offenbarte. Die Tischordnung war völlig durcheinander. Salatteller und Hauptgerichte stritten sich wild um die Plätze, sodass wir fünf uns mit den Vorspeisen in der Luft abmühen mussten, nur um einen Löffel Salat zu essen. Als wir die Hauptgerichte endlich freigelegt hatten, begann das wahre Fiasko. Ich und ein anderer Gast bestellten Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln. Was kam, war ein kulinarisches Paradoxon: Der Käse war geschmolzen, aber das Schweineschnitzel im Kern roh. Wir schickten die Teller stillschweigend zurück in die Küche. Fünf Minuten später kam die zweite Runde. In der Hektik der Küche hatten sie die Gesetze der Wärmelehre völlig außer Acht gelassen. Wir schnitten das Fleisch erneut an; es war immer noch roh. Das Verhör: Eine Lektion in Trotz Nach weiteren 15 Minuten kam eine junge Köchin aus dem Getümmel. Mit einem Tonfall, der von Erschöpfung und Abwehrhaltung zeugte, teilte sie uns mit, dass in der zweiten Runde wenigstens eines der Gerichte nicht roh gewesen war. Mitanzusehen, wie Küchenpersonal über die mathematische Wahrscheinlichkeit diskutiert, ob ihr Schweinefleisch noch genießbar ist, war ein grandioser Fauxpas. Es war ein Eingeständnis, dass sie einfach nur geraten hatten. In der dritten Runde griff die Küche zu einer Strategie der verbrannten Erde. Das Cordon Bleu kam komplett halbiert an: eine kulinarische Autopsie vor dem Servieren, um zu beweisen, dass sie es endlich geschafft hatten, das Fleisch im Kern zu erhitzen. Traurigerweise warfen sie dabei auch noch einen Teil der heiligen Frankfurter Grünen Soße weg, die sie auf den vorherigen Teller gegeben hatten. Bis eine Ersatzsoße kam, war das Essen schon vorbei. Der Rest unserer Gruppe hatte bereits fertig gegessen und musste zusehen, wie wir hektisch versuchten, unser zweimal wiederauferstandenes Schweinefleisch unter den wachsamen, ungeduldigen Blicken des Personals, das den Tisch schnellstmöglich abräumen wollte, zu verspeisen. Das Positive und das Fazit: Es ist wirklich schade, dass das Personal zu Gewalt griff, denn die grundlegende DNA des Essens ist, richtig zubereitet, durchaus raffiniert. Die Bärlauchknödel mit Knoblauch-Parmesan-Pesto waren wunderschön zubereitet, reichhaltig und aromatisch. Die Grüne Soße war traditionell und spritzig, und die Bratkartoffeln hatten eine herrlich dunkle Bräunung mit exzellentem Röstaroma. Die Geschäftsleitung räumte den Systemausfall ein, indem sie einen der angeblich nicht erhältlichen Cordon Bleus auf der Endrechnung vergab. Die Küche versteht ihr Handwerk; sie weiß nur nicht, wie man einen großen Andrang bewältigt. Besuchen Sie das Restaurant wegen der hervorragenden Bratkartoffeln, aber am besten an einem beliebigen Dienstag im Oktober und meiden Sie die Feiertage.

Schönes Restaurant mit nettem Personal und leckerem Essen. Besonders die Spareribs sind zu empfehlen.

Hier versucht man, mehr zu scheinen, als man ist. Schade! Ich hatte Rindertatar bestellt. Dieses kam mit separaten Zutaten zum selber mischen: ein Eigelb in der Schale, gewürfelte Gurke, Zwiebelwürfel und ein Hauch seltsam zermatschter Kapern sowie ein Löffelchen Paprikapulver. Das Fleisch hatte schon braun-graue Stellen, was nicht so lecker aussah. Ansonsten sah es aus, wie frisch durchgewolft. Gemahlener Pfeffer und Salz stand auf dem Tisch. Auf meine Frage nach Worcestersauce [ˈwʊstə-], bekam die Bedienung große Augen. Was bitte?! Auch „Worschestersosse“ war Ihr gänzlich unbekannt. Auch mein Verlangen nach scharfem Senf wurde mit Kopfschütteln quittiert, aber immerhin bekam ich ein Gläschen mittelscharfen Senfs. Da die Reaktionen der Bedienung so unwirsch waren, ersparte ich mir die Frage nach einer Pfeffermühle oder Tabasco. Das dazu gereichte „Schwarzbrot“ war seltsam, später reichte man Weißbrot dazu. Zugegebenermaßen war mir der Appetit vergangen, aber objektiv hatte das ganze keinen Geschmack und in Ermangelung notwendiger Zutaten war auch nichts mehr rauszuholen. Mehr als die Hälfte konnte ich nicht mehr essen. Schade um das Fleisch! Hatte die Bedienung nur einen schlechten Tag oder war sie einfach schlecht? Auch die Gerichte der Anderen am Tisch waren leider keine Highlights. Aber man saß schön im Garten unter großen Bäumen und der Äppler war ok! PS: Unserem Hund wurde warmes Wasser aus einem Napf, der wohl schon länger in der prallen Sonne stand zugemutet… Er mag dahin nicht wiederkommen!

Für meinen 60. Geburtstag hatte ich das Catering bestellt – und ich bin rundum begeistert. Frau Kuhn und ihr Team haben alles perfekt organisiert und zuverlässig umgesetzt. Das Essen war hervorragend: sehr schmackhaft, abwechslungsreich und liebevoll zubereitet. Auch meine Gäste waren durchweg begeistert. Alle Absprachen wurden zuverlässig eingehalten, der Service war professionell und freundlich. Klare 100 % Weiterempfehlung – vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen gelungenen Beitrag zu einem unvergesslichen Fest!

Gut bürgerliche Küche wie ich sie mag. Geschmack wie bei Mutter, (sie möge es mir verzeihen) teilweise etwas besser. Niveauvoll, aber kein Schickimicki. Gerade bei dem Mittagstisch und den Aktionen sehr faire Preise bei guter Qualität. Die Einrichtung passt ebenso und ist mit liebevoll ausgewählten Details, wie den schönen Kissen versehen.

Wir waren an einem Samstag in dem Lokal, man sitzt schön im Garten und es ist wirklich gemütlich. Leider ist das auch das einzig positive. Wir waren eigentlich für das Tagesgericht (gefüllte Paprika) gekommen - leider wurde uns gesagt, das es keine Paprika gegeben hätte und man hat sich für Presskopf als Tagesmenü entschieden. Leider nicht unser Geschmack- also haben wir uns was aus der Karte ausgesucht. Zur Vorspeise sollte es eine Aufstrichvariante geben. Laut Karte, 360°C-Steinofenbrot / Kräuterschmand / Röstzwiebel- butter / Salzbutter- hier wurde in der Küche einfach mal geschaut, was es noch gibt. Siehe Bild - Kräuterbutter, undefinierbare Butter und ein Wasserquark. Danach entschied ich mich für einen Salat - für 16,50!- es war ein größerer Vorspeisensalat - mit schwabbeligen Paprika Stücken und nicht mal einer frischen Tomate … Mein Mann hatte ein Hacksteak. Das Fleisch war wie gekocht und mit viel Brot verarbeitet. Die Pommes waren ungenießbar- zu versalzen. Und für so ein Stück schwabbel 17,70 Euro Also für insgesamt 65 Euro hatten wir ein wirklich schlechtes Geschmackserlebnis Schade, da ist mehr drin . Nachtrag zu Ihrer Antwort : Sehr geehrte Inhaber, danke für Ihre Rückmeldung. Sie fragen, warum ich meine Kritik nicht vor Ort geäußert habe. Ganz ehrlich: In dem Moment war ich schlicht zu enttäuscht und wollte den Besuch nicht noch weiter eskalieren lassen. Wenn ich 14 Uhr bestelle und dann Essen bekomme, das versalzen ist, der Salat deutlich zu klein ausfällt und das Hauptgericht nicht dem entspricht, was auf der Karte steht, dann ist das Essen für mich gelaufen. Da fehlt mir die Basis, um noch motiviert eine Reklamation anzustoßen. Zur Paprikaschote: Wenn der Mittagstisch nach 2 Stunden ausverkauft ist, wäre ein klarer Hinweis auf der Karte oder an der Tür fair. So wirbt man mit etwas, das es dann nicht mehr gibt. Dass die Alternative ein „Mühlrädchen mit Schmorzwiebeln“ war, wurde mir am Tisch nicht so erklärt. Für mich klang und es nach Presskopf – und genau das esse ich nicht. Nachfragen hin oder her: Wenn ich etwas serviert bekomme, das ich nicht bestellt habe und das mir nicht zusagt, dann ist das ein Problem der Küche/Service, nicht meines Nachfragens. Zu Ihrer Frage: Ja, ich schreibe auch positive Bewertungen, wenn ich mit einem „seligen Lächeln“ nach Hause gehe. Genau deshalb nehme ich mir jetzt die Zeit – weil ich eben nicht zufrieden war. Versalzene Pommes und ein zu kleiner Salat sind vielleicht in 3 Minuten korrigierbar, aber der Gesamteindruck war an dem Tag einfach schlecht. Ich hätte Ihnen gerne ein Lob dagelassen. An diesem Tag war das leider nicht möglich. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal, wenn die Basics stimmen.

Wir hatten das Catering für eine Feier (60. Geburtstag, mehr als 40 Personen) bestellt. Sehr kompetente Beratung bei der Menüzusammenstellung, alle Speisen in hervorragender Qualität und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut o.k.

War zum 4.mal wieder da. Absolut empfehlenswert, tolle Speisekarte, das Essen war super, ob Tattar, Suppe, Tafelspitz und die grüne Sosse echt top. Der Service war super nett, aufmerksam. Beratung bei der Speisen Abfolge top. Ein Parkplatz für Fahrräder mit kleiner Servicesstation, genial. Danke für diesen tollen Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Eine sehr gepflegte Gaststätte mit ausgezeichnetem Essen und sehr gutem Service

Das irische Ochsenbäckchen mit Kartoffelstampf und Schwarzwurzelgemüse war der absolute Knaller. So eine Top-Küche erwartet man nicht in do einer Lokalität. Auch das vegetarische Gerichte hat meiner Frau sehr gut geschmeckt. Highlight war dann die Créme Brullet zum Nachtisch. Also wir kommen sicher wieder.

Ein Stern für lecker und einer für günstig, das war es aber auch. Bei Bestellung einige Fehler passiert und das ich dann noch 1,50 dafür zahle statt Spätzle Pommes zu bekommen. Nein Danke, da geht wir nicht mehr hin. Da zieh ich glatt noch nen Stern für die Wahrheit ab, es wurde kein Wort gesagt, das die Änderung der Beilage mehr kostet. Davon abgesehen müsste dem Service klar sein, bei Bestellung von 3x Schnitzel und 3x Salat, das es um die Aktionskarte geht oder definitiv nachfragen.

Sehr lecker gegessen, die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir feierten heute den 75 Geburtstag meiner Mutter in doch großer Runde hier . Hätten wir besser das Geld wo anders investiert. Für die doch große Summe die wir gezahlt hatten stimmte die Qualität vom Essen nicht !! Fleisch war Tod gebraten . Viel zu viel Salz . Pommes nicht knusprig . Die Würstchen von mein Sohn schmeckten wie aus den Glas. Das kann ich mir zu Hause auch auf machen . Mein Forsthaus Salat für über 16 Euro !! Ein Witz!!! Hahahah 😂😂. Der Kellner wirkte genervt ! -überfordert. Bei mein Handkäs schmeckte die Butter nicht frisch für über 7 Euro müsste er auch aus Gold eigentlich sein . Wie gesagt wir würden es nicht weiter empfehlen.

Volles Haus spricht für sich ;-) gut bürgerliche bodenständige Küche, handwerklich top! Toller Service & angenehmes Landhaus-Ambiente. Gute Preis-Leistung, die Martins-Gans war mega für unsere ganze große Crew. Wir sind immer gerne bei euch, weil ihr euch mit gleichbleibend hervorragender Qualität von den ganzen 0815-Möchtegern-Gastronomen wohltuend abhebt. Das Essen war versalzen und zu teuer. Cordonblue bestellt und dann sogar, einfach schlecht. Nie wieder dort hin zum Essen.

Wir haben das Restaurant Zum Fortshaus als Caterer für unsere Hochzeit benutzt. Alle Gäste (und wir auch) waren mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden, alles war sehr lecker und nach einer Woche bekomme immer noch sehr positive Rückmeldungen. Frau Kunz ist sehr hilfsbereit und lösungsorientiert, und ich kann nur positive Worte über sie und Ihres Team sprechen!

We celebrated our wedding reception here with close family, and it was wonderful! Since there were only 21 of us, we didn't want a buffet, but rather à la carte. We were even allowed to put together our own small menu, with enough choices so that everyone could find something. It was a fantastic solution and worked perfectly! A big thank you to Mandy, Marco, and their entire team: very professional, warm, and attentive – topped off by the fantastic food! Everyone was absolutely thrilled. Our tip: If the goat crème brûlée is on the menu, definitely order it! 🤩 We highly recommend the Forsthaus and will definitely be back!!

Outside, the beer garden under the shady chestnut trees is definitely one of the most beautiful in the area. Inside, the one very large room is not quite as cozy, but is attractively designed.

We celebrated our wedding here last summer with 65 people and were completely satisfied. The atmosphere was fantastic, both outside in the beer garden and inside. Easy pre-arrangements, delicious food (including vegetarian/vegan options), and excellent service. We would choose the same venue again. :)

Highly recommended! The host is incredibly friendly, the service attentive and warm—you immediately sense that this is a true family business. The Faroese salmon was simply outstanding; I've never tasted better. We'd love to come back!

We booked the Forsthaus as catering for our wedding buffet and were completely satisfied! Super delicious food with plenty of variety, uncomplicated communication, a great price, and on-time delivery. Mandy Kunz also came to our rescue the day before the wedding when we realized we didn't have any glasses, and she delivered glasses of all shapes within an hour of our desperate call! We'd go back anytime ☺️

You can sit outside...the food is very good...a good selection...the staff is attentive and friendly...the forester's lodge is located by the forest, so you can go for a nice walk afterwards.

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. The service was a bit quick, but we handled it. The prices on the chalkboard are a bit steep. But we (my dad is 81) and I decided on the sausage salad with fried potatoes and saumagen (sausage stomach), which was AMAZING.

We had fantastic catering. The food was delivered, the buffet was stocked, and all 50 of our guests were delighted with the dishes. We received very detailed and excellent advice from the chef beforehand. The menu was very varied. There was something for every taste. We'd love to come back!

We were invited here. First of all, the positive thing is that there's plenty of parking. A lovely beer garden invites you to linger. The friendly service is good, but they could improve on attentiveness. The schnitzel I had wasn't a taste sensation. It was more like a thick pork loin steak, unplated and tasteless. Very dry. It doesn't even come close to being a schnitzel. The portion size is good. The other dishes we had were just so-so. There's a lot of potential for improvement here.

It's a great terrace where you can spend time with friends. The quiet atmosphere and delicious food are particularly special.

The "Zum Forsthaus" restaurant is a cozy place with delicious food and generous portions. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. A restaurant where you'll enjoy going and feel at home.

The ambiance is a bit dated, rather rustic. You have to call the waiter (several times) before you get anything, and the food, well, wasn't exactly great. Sorry, but it's just the way it is.

We celebrated our wedding 6 weeks ago, and the Forsthaus in Mühlheim was our catering service. Choosing the Forsthaus was more of a necessity, as our exclusive caterer unfortunately suddenly dropped out. The Forsthaus was recommended to us, and we haven't regretted this decision for Mandy and her team for a second. The Forsthaus wasn't familiar with the location, so we had to embrace it, push through some things during the planning phase, and face the challenges. On our wedding day, it was very hot, and our guests were already provided with drinks the afternoon before the ceremony. I'm very grateful for this reminder alone. As a bride and groom, you don't think about such important details. But these drinks weren't just "off the shelf." All the drinks, even the non-alcoholic ones, were beautifully prepared and served in beautiful glasses. Mandy also had the great idea of setting up zinc tubs with ice and cold drinks at various locations so that guests could serve themselves. We highly recommend the food, whether it was the finger food at the champagne reception or the appetizers served at the table and the main courses served buffet-style at dinner. Everything was very appealing and delicious. The selection was great, and there was plenty to eat. For example, we chose roast beef, which was cooked to perfection, medium rare, and extremely tender, and freshly cut piece by piece. The wedding cake and dessert were served appropriately. There were coffee specialties and a special chest of ice creams for the children (also not our idea). And not to be forgotten was the hearty midnight snack, which saved many a guest and was once again a perfect match. The service staff was excellent, not only friendly but also very attentive, but never intrusive. And even after dinner, we were treated to delicious drinks by friendly people until late into the night. A huge compliment and a heartfelt thank you goes to Mandy Kunz and her husband Marco, who gave us such excellent advice and support from the very beginning and gave us great ideas we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. In many ways, they made the impossible possible, so we had a truly wonderful celebration. And last but not least, it should be mentioned that the price/performance ratio at the Forsthaus was absolutely fair. Many thanks to everyone from the catering department who worked on our wedding.

A complete disaster... Absolutely chaotic and uncoordinated. We reserved a table, but it took about 15 minutes for the waiters to identify the table reserved for us. Then we waited 20 minutes for the menu. After another 15 minutes, we were finally "allowed" to order. We ordered one roulade, one roast beef, and one Maultaschen (swabian pasta). After 20 minutes, the waiter came and said they were out of Maultaschen. So I ordered roast beef as well. After another 20 minutes, the waiter came again and said they were also out of roast beef. So we had to order two other dishes, which then arrived after over an hour. After my father asked the waiter, who had called out loudly twice, when his roulade would finally arrive, after an hour and 10 minutes, she said there had been a misunderstanding, and the roulade finally arrived after a 1.5 hour wait. And it's surprising that the store still exists. We'll never go there again and warn our friends about it.

We stopped in for a drink after a walk – The beer came in a clay mug that was in the freezer – excellent! Next time we'll eat here too! The service was very nice!

For our wedding, we used the catering service from the Forsthaus, and many guests, independently and unprompted, responded exclusively to positive comments about the food and its taste. The quantity and selection were perfect. We had a very informative preliminary discussion, and the execution was excellent. The food was perfectly prepared, so even a change in the weather was no problem for Mr. and Mrs. Kunz, and after a few minor adjustments, we were able to open the buffet. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Mr. and Mrs. Kunz for their dedication and the excellent execution :-)

Restaurant modernized in its old charm, partly poorly lit. The LED light on the table radiates cold office-like light. The service is friendly and takes orders quickly. Overall, the menu is more meat and pork-heavy. The driver usually drives too fast through the residential area and past the school, safety comes before food delivery. We spared ourselves any further words to the driver.

I was at the Forsthaus again and ate what everyone orders, the Mühlheimer Scheiterhaufen. It was good 👍🏿 The place was very busy, so it was packed. The service was friendly nonetheless. The beer garden is very nice, and I'll be back 🦷🍺🦷

Unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly good. The price-performance ratio isn't right here. After eating, it's very difficult to order a drink or dessert. The staff unfortunately seems irritated. It's understandable that when it's busy, no one shows up right away, but after 30 minutes and two inquiries, getting the answer "I told you I'd be right there" isn't particularly pleasant. The ambiance is nice, especially when you sit outside, which is unfortunately the only positive aspect.

Highly recommended, especially in nice weather. The outdoor seating is under the trees, providing a lovely shady spot. Very good value for money; my roulade was delicious. The service is very friendly. The restrooms are well-maintained, and the restaurant's overall design is very appealing. We'd love to come back soon.

Ambience great. The food is good too, as long as you don't expect any surprises. Like grandma's, it's cozy and the food is good, no question! However, it lacks a bit of kick, but only in my opinion. I will definitely come more often.

Absolut chaotisch und unkoordiniert. Wir haben einen Tisch reserviert, aber es dauerte ca. 15 Minuten, bis die Bedienungen den für uns vorgesehenen Tisch identifizieren konnten. Dann warteten wir 20 Minuten auf die Speisekarte. Nach nochmal 15 Minuten „durften“ wir dann bestellen. Wir bestellten 1 x Roulade, 1 x Roastbeef Beef und 1 x Maultaschen. Nach 20 Minuten kam die Bedienung und sagte, Maultaschen sind aus. Also bestellte ich auch Roastbeef. Nach nochmal 20 Minuten kam wieder Bedienung und sagte, Roastbeef wäre auch aus. Also mussten wir 2 andere Gerichte bestellen, die dann nach über 1 Stunde ankamen. Nachdem Vater nach 1 Stunde und 10 Minuten die durch 2-maliges lautes Herbeirufen gekommene Bedienung fragte, wann endlich seine Roulade kommt, hieß es es hat ein Missverständnis gegeben und die Roulade kam dann nach 1 1/2 Stunden Wartezeit. Und wundert, dass der Laden noch existiert. Hier werden wir niemals mehr hingehen und unsere Bekannten davor warnen. Die „Bedienung“ sollte sich einen anderen Job suchen.

The restaurant is located near the edge of the forest with good parking. Our waitress was very nice and approachable. The food was of very good quality and tasted very good. The space available is great. The facility is a bit older but well maintained.

Went to the forester's lodge for the first time 23 years ago and have been there ever since. Home-style cooking and the beer garden in summer is really nice. By the way, back then I ate the Mühlheim pyre, which they still have on the menu. Most recently in December we ordered the roast goose to pick up twice. Everything went well and the food was overall very tasty. The dumplings were the weakest component, but the goose (breast and leg) in particular were really good, good portion, good quality and well prepared.

We were here today with 10 people. Including several children. The service only consisted of two people. We were served by a young lady who unfortunately wasn't up to the task. The highlight was when we had to remind ourselves to order the food and then she “had to” take it in annoyance. The food itself was good, but a bit unseasoned. It was a real shame that there were no offers for the children, despite demand. The large hall in which we ate didn't seem very comfortable. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were no better. There was a strong smell of urine in the men's toilet and the sinks didn't seem clean. Overall, it's a shame because I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant again after many years and was very disappointed.

We were there for the umpteenth time for a larger family celebration (25 people) and, as always, the food and service was excellent. Venison, fish and steak were excellent. I can also highly recommend the lamb's lettuce as a starter and the creme brulee. Great cuisine - always happy again!

We have had so many celebrations there over the last 35 years. Confirmations, a wedding, birthdays, Christmas, but also various meetings after funerals. It was always beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The last time I was there was the day before yesterday and I wasn't so happy about how beautiful everything was. Still homely and the food is good, there is now also something for vegetarians and vegans. I'm so happy about that. I hope you stay as great and for a long time. A great team, great bosses, it's always like coming home. Thank you for 35 years of celebrating, mourning and eating well in your hands.💜

Unfortunately, since the Kunz takeover, it is no longer what the Mühlheimer wanted to expect from the Dahlheimer quality. Just plain shabby. Overpriced food doesn't come close to meeting what is offered and actually expected. The quality of the material used is also inferior and even worse processed Vegetarian food at the same price as inferior venison goulash, the tofu for the veggie meal was unacceptably hard and inedible. What happens to you here is not even more than ordinary, but simply bad and completely unacceptable. Completely overrated location, this forester's house, quality is completely different. Thank you also for the appropriate mass processing. It's time to get off your high horse, Mr. Kunz. Well, the main thing is that the table decorations were pretty (from what I read here) DISASTER.

Very nice service from all employees, quick service, the food was very tasty. The parking situation deducted a star from the service. But that's absolutely no reason not to stop by and have a good time there.

We had a small family celebration and were completely satisfied. The arrangements worked very well and the decoration was also as we had imagined.
