Everything we tried here was delicious! They have a several vegetarian options and some great vegan options including schnitzel with green sauce and potatoes. Fantastic sauerkraut and apfelwein too! Seems to be a popular spot with the locals. We had very friendly service as a group of Americans. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.

Went to Eichkatzerl for the first time today and found it really rustic here. The food was great (Frankfurter-style schnitzel and beef liver with mashed potatoes). The service was super nice, everything was perfect. There was nothing to complain about, we would be happy to come back. Of course it was a bit loud, but that's part of it.

Classic cider bar. We were lucky enough to spend probably the last summer evening sitting out there yesterday. Service is good, you are asked directly if you would like a bemble with a water bottle for the table. The waiter also sold me the dessert, but it was really delicious. The schnitzel with green sauce is on top, a few fried potatoes are hidden under the schnitzel. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Card payment possible.

Excellent atmosphere, we were 4 friends in the outer part under a kind of tent at a large table shared with 4 other people, but everything was perfect. The food was very good and large, the beer was very good and the apfelwein was good, it could have been colder. They served us quickly but it took a little while to even bring the ticket, everything else was very good.

Exploring the local cuisine in Frankfurt, This spread is a must-try!🇩🇪 Fresh air and nice atmosphere of the restaurant, the taste of food I ordered was good.

Good traditional German Food. We came for the Vegetarian Schnitzel with Green Sauce (Grüner Soße) & also tried Frankfurter Handkäse. Vegetarian Schnitzel was so yummy 😋— crispy but not greasy. Green Sauce paired well with it. (FYI: Best Green Sauce, of 3 which we tried, was at Da Heim in Kleinmarkthalle. Their Schnitzel was also excellent, but they don’t have Vegetarian Schnitzel.) As for Handkäse, they aren’t for me, but I was glad I tried them since they are a Frankfurt specialty. Servers were friendly & food came quickly for us. This is a casual restaurant. Expect to share your table with strangers. We had a great conversation with our tablemate. He had just come from Berlin.

Great food and will definitely fill you up. Delicious cider and a cozy atmosphere are also at the start. Unfortunately you have to be a little patient for the food, but everything is handmade and super tasty. It's definitely worth the wait :)

We discussed for a long time whether we should go to Dauth Scheider or Eichkatzerl. Due to Mr. Scheider's deficiencies identified by the GA, we went to Mr. Eichkatzerl. I would give the food a three. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The real shock was when we unfortunately discovered that the Frankfurt Schnitzel doesn't come with a side salad. We then accidentally bought one to go with it, it was ok, but no more.

Nice apple winery with a beautiful garden, but also a beautiful interior. What is particularly special here is that there is also a vegan schnitzel with vegan green sauce. So also what kind of rounds where a vegan is there 👍😊 The service was nice and mostly quite quick.

I had the Viennese style schnitzel here and I can only say that it was a long time ago that I was impressed with the taste and quality of the schnitzel. Only the fried potatoes with it were a bit too dark, but the prices are very fair and the service is good Excellent. All in all, I can definitely recommend this store.

I had a wonderful evening at Eichkatzerl today! I would particularly like to praise the vegan Frankfurter Schnitzel, it's great that such an offer exists :) I will definitely come back!

We were here with a small group and with prior reservation on a Friday evening. The place has a typical pub charm, we really liked it! Starter and main course were very tasty, portions were completely sufficient, price/performance was also great!

Sehr, sehr unfreundliche und unhöfliche Auskunft einer Mitarbeiterin, als wir müde, hungrig und durstig 10 Minuten vor der Öffnungszeit im Hofgarten standen und anfragten, ob man sich schon setzen könnte. Die barsche und sehr unverschämt ausgesprochene Antwort war : "Nein, was meinen Sie warum das Tor zum Garten noch nicht weit offen stand" Wohlgemerkt, das Tor war nur angelehnt und auch nicht verschlossen!! Wir sind dann sehr verärgert weitergezogen zum Kanonesteppel in Sachsenhausen und wurden dort überaus freundlich und einladend behandelt. Sehr charmante Bedienung dort, Essen Preis/Leistung hervorragend.

Some time ago I was a guest at this restaurant with the VEGAN STAMMTISCH FRANKFURT. Personally, the atmosphere when eating is particularly important to me and this location immediately appealed to me - very rustic and cozy, typical of a Frankfurt Ebbelwoiwirtschaft. Back then I decided on the vegan Frankfurter Schnitzel with semolina sauce and it was simply delicious! I can definitely recommend this restaurant, the food and the whole atmosphere.

Traditional "Frankfurter Küche" with a good variety of dishes. A must is to get a Bembel which is a jug filled with Apple wine to share. I can recommend the Appetizer plate which gives you a great idea of a typical German evening meal!

Were served friendly. But we got 2 water pipes at the table that weren't tasty and we paid €40 for 2 pipes. Really outrageous. Although attempts were made to improve it.

Real Frankfurter Kneip, delicious, relaxed and cool

When it's full, and it often is (DEFINITELY MAKE A RESERVATION!), it can get pretty loud. That's just the way it is and you can't change it. The food is great and any waiting time is worth it. The “apple wine” is very drinkable straight, but can also be served with sparkling water (if too strong). In short, a visit is definitely recommended 👍🏼

This is a typical Frankfurt pub with Appelwoi and hearty food. When we attempted to make a reservation, we were told twice that we should just show up and try our luck. That worked well too. If you are not looking for a place for quiet, gentle conversations, but can tolerate a certain level of noise, this is exactly the right place to spend a nice evening. However, this also depends very much on the time of day.

Don't understand the reviews. Food was quite good, but not outstanding. The service was worst last night! Very unfriendly staff! You had the impression that you were disturbing the local waitresses. They were also very stroppy.

Unfortunately our experience wasn't particularly nice. The waitress was incredibly rude from second. The food came wrong and when we pointed it out the plate was snatched away from us without comment. In the end I asked you about it but unfortunately I didn't get an answer as to what this mood was about. Even the mediocre food doesn't make the experience any better.

Very ingenious food, very tasty Äppler, very nice service, who even forgives your penchant for sweet and sprayed food and the price is still quite moderate. We'd love to come back there.

Very rustic restaurant with a beer garden and long benches inside. You can get traditional Frankfurt dishes here, but nothing really blew me away in terms of taste. But tastes are different. I can imagine that other people will be really happy here. Long wait, even though there wasn't much going on at first. And prices are quite high, but that will be the case everywhere now. I thought it was okay, but would probably try something else next.

The place was quite full when we arrived, but the waiter managed to fit us in without the reservation. Nice German restaurant with a very big portion of food, I ordered the schnitzel (groß ~18€ depend on which one you get). Schnitzel & Bratkartoffeln are very nice and crispy.

A very famous restaurant, recommended by Frankfurt locals. The boss was very kind and the waiter put a smiley face on the tip when he collected the money. Try the cider and frankfurter pork chop with green sauce, it's ok.

We came as a group on a weekday and were not disappointed. The rooms are reminiscent of a classic restaurant and are therefore somewhat spartan. If the tables are well occupied, the noise level ruins the coziness and communication if you don't like exactly that type of atmosphere. But that's complaining at a high level... The service was always on point and no glass remained empty for long. The food was overwhelmingly good. We had a colorful mix from the extensive menu and all the dishes arrived quickly and at the same time, with all the plates being cleaned at the end. A real insider tip for local specialties! We would love to come back…

Can't describe it better than "good". I ordered a “Frankfurter” schnitzel. Price performance is excellent. In terms of taste, it's just a schnitzel, but not a bad one. There was also apple cider with sparkling water. Highly recommended!

The Eichkatzerl is my favorite apple wine restaurant. The Frankfurter Schnitzel is A1 and the apple wine goes down wonderfully. A very good experience every time!

We were lucky and got a table on Friday evening without a reservation. The service was very quick and took our order. Drinks came very quickly, but you have to wait a while for the food. The restaurant was very full at the time of our visit, so the waiting time was perfectly acceptable. The taste was very tasty and the green sauce is highly recommended. All in all, a quaint, traditional restaurant with good food.

I've always wanted to go here, but until now I always thought that now that I'm vegan, I don't know if I'll find anything tasty here. But I was very wrong... Went here on a very hot Wednesday evening, so I can only recommend sitting outside. The location is typically Frankfurter, but everything is cozy. The service staff is super friendly and you immediately feel at home. I ordered the vegan schnitzel with the Gie Soß (green sauce) and fried potatoes. I kindly received the side salad from a friend. Well, I've eaten a lot of schnitzels, but this is really the best thing I've ever eaten in a Frankfurt restaurant, nice and thin, delicious crispy breading and 2 decent schnitzels. But the semolina sauce, my goodness, they've outdone themselves, it's the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant, an absolute must for anyone who loves it. I only found the fried potatoes too dry. Even the side salad was very tasty. So I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely come here more often to eat a really good vegan schnitzel with the best semolina sauce in Frankfurt. Prices are still acceptable. That’s fine, I’ll be back.

Un ringraziamento particolare al servizio che è stato attentissimo, rapido e bravissimo nel consigliarci e capire i nostri desideri. Dieci e lode ! Quando tornerò a Francoforte sicuramente mi fermerò di nuovo a mangiare qui. 👍 NB: prezzi assolutamente modici rispetto alla qualità dei piatti.

Best schnitzel restaurant in Frankfurt. I wouldn’t mind drinking their green sauce instead of coffee every day. Highly recommend. Also get the cheese with the onions for starters its really good. Personally not a big fan of cider but theirs is good. TIPPPP!! GET THE MASHED POTATOES AND MIX IT WITH THE GREEN SAUCE. ✌🏼✌🏼

We were there today for schnitzel day. The Frankfurter Schnitzel is highly recommended. The green sauce is the best I've had and I've been to many cider places. Schnitzel nice and thin and very tasty. The Schäufelchen pan was good and I particularly recommend the mashed potatoes, which were delicious and chunky. The chocolate cake with a liquid center was different than expected but very tasty and not too sweet. What I was missing was something fruity and sour like a little fruit mirror. But it was really big for dessert. But perfect to share and definitely worth a sin.

Beautiful, rustic cider farm in a good location. The schnitzel was one of the best of the many I've eaten in Frankfurt. This of course includes the fantastic green sauce. Monday on Schnitzel Day there is an incredibly large portion for €15, be prepared. I also really enjoyed the Äppler here!

Schnitzel excellent, large, very tender and thinly pounded 👌. Fried potatoes are rather below average, potato and cucumber salad or perhaps fries would be better. Be sure to order cranberries with it. Very authentic, nice guest room with time-honored charm.

Super leckeres Essen. Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Ambiente finde ich nicht so gut. Dich man geht in Apfelweinwirtschaften wegen dem Essen und der Getränke, nicht wegen der Wandbemalung.

Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich und herablassend. Das Essen von allen war lecker, wenngleich mein veganes Geschnetzeltes etwas verbrannt geschmeckt hat. Es waren bei allen Gerichten nur sehr wenig Bratkartoffeln dabei. Die vegane grüne Soße ist toll.

アップルワインを飲みにこちらへ 予約なしでしたが相席でいれていただけました. 英語のメニューも完備で良かったですが, ドイツ語との併記のメニューがほしかったですね. 初めてベンベル（4杯分）でアップルワインを頼みました. 店内をみまわすと巨大なベンベルが鎮座してます. 食べ物はマリネーテッド・チーズと茹で豚肩肉塊を注文. チーズは前菜として完璧ですね. 食べると腹が減ります. 茹で豚肩肉塊は見た目に反してとても柔らかく骨離れも抜群. 肩甲骨はがしがはかどります. というわけで完飲・完食！ ごちそうさまでした.

Sehr gutes Essen, die Schnitzel sind spitze. Freundlicher Service, mein Tee hat ziemlich lange gedauert. Dadurch dass man auf Bänken sitzt, wird es ohne Möglichkeit sich abzulehnen auf Dauer etwas unbequem.

Unfassbar unfreundlich 🤤eine echte Unverschämtheit wie man hier Gäste behandelt. Die viel bessere Wahl ist Frau Rauscher ein paar Schritte weiter.

Rustikales Ambiente, rauher Charme, kein Pipifax und kein Schnickschnack. Hier gibt's ehrliches Stöffchen, lecker Essen zu fairen Preisen und freundliche KellnerInnen. Tip: für ein grosses Schnitzel sollte man schon etwas Hunger mitbringen.. ;) Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Urige Frankfurter Apfelwein-Kneipe. Der Ebbelwoi schmeckt hervorragend ebenso wie das Essen. Das Frankfurter Schnitzel mit Grüner Sauce war klasse - aber für den ganz großen Hunger. Für „normale“ Esser reicht die „kleine“ Portion - das ist dann „nur“ ein Schnitzel statt zwei… 😆 Auch der Service war freundlich und auf Zack!
