This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It serves traditional German food, with a good selection of dishes from their menu. We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant, and the food was indeed delicious and reasonably priced. We had a bottle of Tempranillo wine with our meal, which was also very good and again reasonably priced. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Service was ok, unfortunately the food was not. The schnitzel was old, way too hard and didn't taste like anything. We won't be coming back.

Friendly service. However, there was an unfortunate misunderstanding here last time - I was asked if I could clear the table for new customers, in return for which I was supposed to get an espresso on the house, but in the end it was still on the bill. Very cozy restaurant that has managed to maintain its charm despite being uncrowded. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated for my taste since the move - the schnitzel was quite tough and the fried potatoes were far too oily. I hope it was just a bad day. There's definitely a better way, I believe in you!

Great food. Just go…and order the pork. The main man helped my partner sort out what to eat as she’s lactose intolerant. The dark beer is good also! In fact, it’s not just good, its awesome!! It’s probably one of the best pub/restaurants in the area. Bindings beer rocks!

Classic restaurant with local cuisine in the center of Frankfurt discovered by pure chance. I entered and was immediately struck by the atmosphere. I ate a truly superb pork shank accompanied by excellent beer. Very courteous and fast staff. Not speaking German, I was still able to order using English and Italian. I would happily stay here again.....

Had dinner there last year and the food was delicious. Since then, twice I tried to bring work colleagues to the restaurant and twice we were refused because we were too many people/it was too late. Last time was on the 25/01/2023. Arrived there at 21:30 and was told the kitchen was already closing (website states 23:00 as closing time). Earlier that night I tried to contact the restaurant via phone call and no one answered. So I couldn’t book and had to find another place to have dinner at. Customer service must improve. Basically do not go too late and don’t bring too many people :)

평일 오후 1시쯔음 갔더니 자리가 몇개 있었습니다. 대부분 로컬, 아니면 한국인. 소세지 있는 메뉴 맛있습니다. 다 좋았는데 노골적으로 팁을 요구 하더군요.

Loved every bit of this place. ❤️ takes you back in time their menu has a storyline and the service was amazing. The food was over the top and I loved the wine we had. Will definitely go back here, heard you have to book earlier in advanced especially for dinner though. Must try their pork knuckle and schnitzel!! Be sure to email them! Super gutes Essen, tolles Ambiente. Man sollte Plätze zu gewissen Zeiten vorbestellen gerade wenn man eine größere Gruppe ist. Auf jeden Fall ist der Klosterhof zu empfehlen.

Schönes, gemütliches Restaurant, welches ich besonders im Sommer empfehlen würde, aufgrund des schönen Biergartens. Das Essen ist super lecker, die Portionen groß und die Preise fair. Beim nächsten Besuch in Frankfurt gerne wieder!

Its almost crowded when we came although its not dinner time. The waiter was nice and quite polite, we had pork knuckle and dark beer. It was good choice of place to had dinner, even the place is quite small.

학센은 비추합니다. 돼지고기 매니아로서 왠만한 냄새는 무시하고 먹는 사람입니다. 그런데 이 집 학센 에서는 돼지비린내 또는 악취가 심하게 났습니다. 그냥 참고 먹었습니다. 그 냄새가 6시간 가량 입안에서 사라지질 안더군요. 제 입맛에 안맛을 수도 있긴하지만..... 추천 할 수는 없네요...맥주는 맛있어요. 카드 결제가능하고 팁은 현금입니다. 유명하긴한지 한국분들 많이 보이더군요.

We arrived in the late afternoon which at the time was fairly quiet. By the time we left, all the tables had people sitting at them. We were provided a table on the basis that they could have it back by a certain time, as it had already been reserved for later that day, which was fine by us. Booking is advisable. The staff were friendly and polite and people we spoke to all spoke good English, which was helpful. English menus can be provided. We popped in to try some traditional German food and it arrived hot and tasty (Although the egg had may have seen better days!). The average price of the food was between 15 and under 20 euro. We enjoyed our food and time here.

It would be easy to overlook this place as it somewhat hidden in a nondescript building that is under renovation. The sidewalk is closed and you have to go behind the construction fence to get to the door. But once inside what a warm and beautiful restaurant! We all had traditional German dishes; sausages, schnitzel, spaetzel, and goulash. All were very good washed down by the house unfiltered beer. Of all the beers I had on this trip, this was my favorite. Service was efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was the prettiest room we ate in on our trip.

Unable to get a table for evening meal (it's really busy during in December due to the Christmas markets), we booked for lunch the folowing day instead. Reservation essential! Klosterhof is a lovely, cosy, traditional German tavern serving hearty, fresh German food. The staff are friendly, helpful and were willing to adapt my meal due to my allergies (they deep fried my schnitzel as opposed to frying it in butter). Lovely cold beer too! Great value for money. Tip: avoid sitting near the door in winter as some inconsiderate people waiting stand in the doorway with the door open until they are told otherwise!

Excellent and authentic place to eat and drink German cuisine. The staff was a really nice and helpful to assist in ordering a traditional meal. We are from Crete Greece and the German food is not my favorite but the experience was great. We tried Apfelwein but the best was the dark beer on draft.

I went at 6pm, the person in front of me got a table without having a reservation and when it was my turn to be seated, a different employee told me they didn’t have service regardless that the restaurant was has full inside and out. If they don’t like to serve people they should be in a different type of business.

The restaurant was a longer walk from our hotel than we’d anticipated but it was well worth it. We were lucky to get a table for the six of us on the terrace underneath the vines. We chose traditional German dishes and the food was excellent. The servers were friendly, helpful and patient with our efforts at speaking German. We had a wonderful evening and would love to return next time we are in Frankfurt.

I booked a table for two for 8pm. They left us outside waiting in the rain although there was plenty of place inside. Such a behaviour is absolutely mental and inexplicable. After an half an hour long waiting time I decided to leave. I won’t return here ever again.

My point of view is smoking ruins one's meal. I couldn't sit in the garden because of the smoking and even inside, where smoking is not allowed, the smoke still wafts in through the open door. If one is not concerned by smoking or one is able to ignore it then this is your place. The Vienna Schnitzel was large and excellent. The apple strudel is slow to arrive but it was excellent. It comes with a choice of ice cream or vanilla cream but if one asks they will give you both. Service is not good as they are busy so one has to catch a waiter on the run or one is not going to get service.

Klosterhof is so great! The food is very tasty ! The biergarten is very traditional! The funny thing is that you get to share tables with strangers! The Cheese Spetzle is very tasty and a must to try, the quantity of the cheese spetzle is a lot! You must visit Klosterhof!

I’m pretty sure this place doesn’t need my review, but everyone here was just so fantastic. We went here after our food tour guide in Prague recommended this restaurant, and they were spot on. When we arrived, there was a bit of a line, don’t let that turn you away, the line moves fast and the wait is absolutely worth it. When we were in the doorway and we were going to be next, the bartender made eye contact with us, we said hello, and then he asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar and have a beverage while we waited. Not a single group before us did that, we felt so special! Note to the reader, make eye contact with staff! Not long after we were seated in the garden, and our server, Manuel took such great care of us. The food here is great, but the service was spectacular. This was our last night in Frankfurt, and we were so glad it ended here. Note to the reader – the Pea and Ham soup is ridiculously good, we almost ordered a second bowl. Also, get the Meatloaf. It’s not your mom’s meatloaf but man oh man is it good.

The restaurant is very well visited. The friendly staff helped us to get a table. An interesting menu with many traditional dishes obviously based on recipes of monasteries. Huge portions but some were mediocre (e.g. jaeger schnitzel was dry).
