We were there for dinner on Monday with a large group. Monday is schnitzel day there. Schnitzel 11 euros. You can't complain about that. The service was great Food was also tasty.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Frankfurter Hof Seppche was not quite as satisfactory as I had hoped. The food was okay, but nothing special - solid home cooking without any major highlights. However, a real disruptive factor was where we sat: we were placed in the heated tent where smoking was allowed. I found this to be extremely unpleasant, as the smell of smoke is simply annoying when eating and the atmosphere suffers as a result. If you are a non-smoker or are sensitive to smoke, you should definitely inquire about another place. People are no longer used to smoking in restaurants. The service should be highlighted positively - the staff was attentive, quick and friendly, which at least slightly improved the overall impression. Overall a mixed experience: good staff, but the smoking tent was a big negative for me. That's why I give it 3 stars.

Nice place for delicious apple wine and typical Hessian dishes. And, the service is quick and friendly. It's a shame that smoking is allowed in the covered and heated courtyard, where most of the tables are.

The food was very good. The service was simply great. Despite the big event “the crime dinner”, everything went smoothly. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent local German food. I am visiting the restaurant every time I am in Frankfurt to fly back to the USA. I love the atmosphere, interior of the restaurant and beer garden, and the food is delicious. I usually start with a Goulash soup, go with the Jägerschnitzel with salad.

The food is edible. On Sundays there is a separate menu at lunchtime. There are many different types of schnitzel. It should be emphasized that these are also available vegetarian and vegan. The staff is very friendly. I personally didn't like the atmosphere. If you want to eat in a traditional way, you will find something to eat here.

It used to be better. The green sauce apparently comes out of the bucket ready. Too bad. Way too much mayo and not enough fresh herbs.

Unfortunately payment by card is not possible. Very disappointing. Therefore, we ordered less than we would have liked. Since Corona, everyone should at least accept EC cards!

Real Frankfurt pub... Food, well... although it used to be better. Price/performance OK... It's been a long time since I was in Seppchen on December 11th, 2024. Food catastrophic and overpriced. Not as good as it was back then. Quality has deteriorated a lot. As a Frankfurt girl...a disappointment.

I'm not sure if I've ever eaten vegan/vegetarian food so badly. It would have been more honest for the staff to say that they don't actually want to serve vegans/vegetarians than to express it through the food.

Overall, the visit to the Frankfurter Hof Seppche was disappointing. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was too crispy and didn't offer a real taste experience. The Kaiserschmarrn was particularly sad, as it was not edible with tasteless vanilla ice cream. The inconvenient location and poor parking situation also contributed to the negative experience. In addition, the service was overwhelmed and unmotivated. The many smokers and the high noise levels make the restaurant unsuitable for families with children. Overall, there are better alternatives in the area.

Rustic restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The grilled knuckle was cooked perfectly and the portion was very large. The drinks were a bit expensive but generally okay. We recommend the Calvados with medlar. There are deductions for smoke from smokers in the dining area.

All a bit disappointing. There were nine of us there and we had reserved a place. Unfortunately we were put in the smoking area, which wasn't particularly pleasant (we are all non-smokers). Since you could only pay in cash, I went out to the bank again and was then spoken to in a very unfriendly manner by an employee. Because I just sat down at the table again. After an eternity of waiting, we were then allowed to order. Since the waitress was too warm, she turned off half of the heaters, even though everyone at the table had asked not to do this. I had the grill plate with beef and turkey for €26.10(!). I got a few tiny pieces of meat (3 turkey and 2 beef, all very dry even with the herb butter), each the size of a thin piece of sirloin. But the worst thing was that the fries were so salty that my lips burned. Overall, I really expected more for the price. My partner had the sauerbratan. Huge plate, 2 dumplings, a few very thin slices of roast and a bowl of extremely sour red cabbage (certainly from the jar based on the taste). All in all edible, but I don't think it's enough for the price. There are certainly customers who see it differently, but I would not recommend the restaurant.

The pork knuckle was great and tasty. Crispy on the outside and tender inside. Onion soup was a bit not cooked enough, based on the color presented in terms of its color and taste, so with a lighter taste. Cabbage was good also not too over seasoned! I’m glad we took visited this German restaurant as it did impress us with the cuisines and interior design!

We went for a goose dinner with 16 people. The pre-order was 4 whole geese with traditional side dishes. The side dishes were just red cabbage, just like it tasted, straight out of the bag. The dumplings were also ready-made raw dumplings. The worst thing was the process. First a few side dishes came, then 2 gooses cut a little, but not divided into 4 portions. It was pure battle. The next geese came much later when the side dishes were almost cold. Chestnuts were completely missing. All in all it wasn't worth the price as there are local places with more ambiance that just do it better.

There's one of the best knuckles ever here. Super crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. Only the layer of bacon is too much. Only the schnitzels were really bad on the last visit, completely covered in tendons and almost impossible to eat. I would also advise against the meatloaf. Always dry again after several attempts. But a lot of other things are great. Therefore still 4 stars ❤️

I have been a guest at seppchen for years. I celebrated my 40th birthday there and come regularly and enjoy the service and good food. The staff is super friendly and I always feel comfortable. The food is super fresh and the meat is very tender. Thank you for these great and delicious moments.

Good home cooking, Cozy rustic atmosphere. The service was very nice and we didn't have to wait 20 minutes for the food, even though it was very busy. Smoking is allowed outside, which we didn't like as non-smokers, but we'll pay attention next time. We'll definitely be back.

It exceeded my expectations. The food is excellent. I can't wait to go back and eat another Schnitzel. The starter salad was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Very well seasoned, the beer was impeccable and the service was great. Highly recommended. There is a non-smoking area, in the outdoor area the air is suffocating for those who don't smoke, but the non-smoking area is very pleasant for those who don't smoke, as was the case with our group.

Exquisite) Potato soup Beef goulash, roast pork, eggs with Frankfurt green sauce dessert We had roast pork - meat unfortunately without any taste - probably heated in steam or hot water and eggs with green sauce - unfortunately the green sauce was not freshly prepared and tasted very sour. It's a shame - you're actually used to something better from this house.

As a non-Hessinian, I was very happy to dine here due to the good reviews. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted particularly warmly when we came in, nor was our waitress attentive or nice. She had definitely lost her smile. You should also know that smoking is allowed there, which is not particularly pleasant while eating. We each had a meal with green sauce, which was ok, but nothing more The schnitzels definitely come from the freezer. After we tipped the waitress out of politeness, she was able to smile too. We didn't say goodbye at all. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it either. It's a shame because it's a traditional house.

I can only agree with Susanne Jung. Super thinly pounded Frankfurter Schnitzel with strange tasting breading for €19.50 too expensive. The potatoes tasted sweet. The toilets look like they've been at an Oktoberfest. (Toilet seats slipped). This isn't fun anymore.

Schnitzel with green sauce and also schnitzel butcher style, schnitzel pounded very flat and very dry, meaning it can hardly be cut with a knife. Only the fried potatoes were good. But 19.50 euros per schnitzel, that's a proud price! The side salad costs an extra 2.50 euros. The table was sticky, as were the stairs to the toilet. It was my first visit and will also be my last. Too bad 😔

Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant with a village square in the heart of Bavaria. Beautiful rustic German cuisine. I had the best sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings with a delicious hefeweizen and drank a medlar at the end. It was perfect all around. We'll be back.

The shop is really recommended for a drink because it has an original courtyard, although you can go to the emergency room after eating because you have biliary colic. The food was hardly seasoned, the green sauce was warm and consisted more of mayonnaise than herbs, the bread dumplings with chanterelle cream were swimming in 2 cups of cream, but with a lot of chanterelles and the schnitzel is more like breaded ham and only tastes like it old fat and breading. The service was sometimes nice, but unfortunately we caught one of the less ambitious waitresses who reacted rudely when we pointed out the warm mayonnaise. She definitely didn't feel like working and then she forgot some of it. She reacted extremely snippy to the criticism at the end of the meal, of which more than half was eaten. If you want to eat well, you should avoid the store and go to the restaurant a few doors away, which is better in terms of quality and price.

We wanted to go and eat something more topical than all the oriental cuisine present in the city centre, with about 30 minutes by tram (line 12 terminus) we reached this place which was quite anonymous on the outside but really well looked after on the inside. You eat excellent meat and drink good beer, friendly staff and really fast service Highly recommended!

Usually well-filled restaurant with a covered beer garden in Schwanheim's old town. Food solid, grill plate for €26 a bit puny, schnitzel ok. Service is efficient, a bit Frankfurter-rough at times, the ambience has something of a beer tent thanks to the rancid roof. All in all, good 3 stars but no reason to travel from further away.
