Great food! Highly recommend this place.

We went for a goose dinner with 16 people. The pre-order was 4 whole geese with traditional side dishes. The side dishes were just red cabbage, just like it tasted, straight out of the bag. The dumplings were also ready-made raw dumplings. The worst thing was the process. First a few side dishes came, then 2 gooses cut a little, but not divided into 4 portions. It was pure battle. The next geese came much later when the side dishes were almost cold. Chestnuts were completely missing. All in all it wasn't worth the price as there are local places with more ambiance that just do it better.

There's one of the best knuckles ever here. Super crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. Only the layer of bacon is too much. Only the schnitzels were really bad on the last visit, completely covered in tendons and almost impossible to eat. I would also advise against the meatloaf. Always dry again after several attempts. But a lot of other things are great. Therefore still 4 stars ❤️

I have been a guest at seppchen for years. I celebrated my 40th birthday there and come regularly and enjoy the service and good food. The staff is super friendly and I always feel comfortable. The food is super fresh and the meat is very tender. Thank you for these great and delicious moments.

Good home cooking, Cozy rustic atmosphere. The service was very nice and we didn't have to wait 20 minutes for the food, even though it was very busy. Smoking is allowed outside, which we didn't like as non-smokers, but we'll pay attention next time. We'll definitely be back.

It exceeded my expectations. The food is excellent. I can't wait to go back and eat another Schnitzel. The starter salad was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Very well seasoned, the beer was impeccable and the service was great. Highly recommended. There is a non-smoking area, in the outdoor area the air is suffocating for those who don't smoke, but the non-smoking area is very pleasant for those who don't smoke, as was the case with our group.

Exquisite) Potato soup Beef goulash, roast pork, eggs with Frankfurt green sauce dessert We had roast pork - meat unfortunately without any taste - probably heated in steam or hot water and eggs with green sauce - unfortunately the green sauce was not freshly prepared and tasted very sour. It's a shame - you're actually used to something better from this house.

As a non-Hessinian, I was very happy to dine here due to the good reviews. Unfortunately, we weren't greeted particularly warmly when we came in, nor was our waitress attentive or nice. She had definitely lost her smile. You should also know that smoking is allowed there, which is not particularly pleasant while eating. We each had a meal with green sauce, which was ok, but nothing more The schnitzels definitely come from the freezer. After we tipped the waitress out of politeness, she was able to smile too. We didn't say goodbye at all. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it either. It's a shame because it's a traditional house.

I can only agree with Susanne Jung. Super thinly pounded Frankfurter Schnitzel with strange tasting breading for €19.50 too expensive. The potatoes tasted sweet. The toilets look like they've been at an Oktoberfest. (Toilet seats slipped). This isn't fun anymore.

Schnitzel with green sauce and also schnitzel butcher style, schnitzel pounded very flat and very dry, meaning it can hardly be cut with a knife. Only the fried potatoes were good. But 19.50 euros per schnitzel, that's a proud price! The side salad costs an extra 2.50 euros. The table was sticky, as were the stairs to the toilet. It was my first visit and will also be my last. Too bad 😔

Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant with a village square in the heart of Bavaria. Beautiful rustic German cuisine. I had the best sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings with a delicious hefeweizen and drank a medlar at the end. It was perfect all around. We'll be back.

Food has decreased significantly. Price/performance is no longer right either. The quantity of some dishes has become much smaller compared to before. Unfortunately no longer recommended.

The shop is really recommended for a drink because it has an original courtyard, although you can go to the emergency room after eating because you have biliary colic. The food was hardly seasoned, the green sauce was warm and consisted more of mayonnaise than herbs, the bread dumplings with chanterelle cream were swimming in 2 cups of cream, but with a lot of chanterelles and the schnitzel is more like breaded ham and only tastes like it old fat and breading. The service was sometimes nice, but unfortunately we caught one of the less ambitious waitresses who reacted rudely when we pointed out the warm mayonnaise. She definitely didn't feel like working and then she forgot some of it. She reacted extremely snippy to the criticism at the end of the meal, of which more than half was eaten. If you want to eat well, you should avoid the store and go to the restaurant a few doors away, which is better in terms of quality and price.

We wanted to go and eat something more topical than all the oriental cuisine present in the city centre, with about 30 minutes by tram (line 12 terminus) we reached this place which was quite anonymous on the outside but really well looked after on the inside. You eat excellent meat and drink good beer, friendly staff and really fast service Highly recommended!

Usually well-filled restaurant with a covered beer garden in Schwanheim's old town. Food solid, grill plate for €26 a bit puny, schnitzel ok. Service is efficient, a bit Frankfurter-rough at times, the ambience has something of a beer tent thanks to the rancid roof. All in all, good 3 stars but no reason to travel from further away.

Was there yesterday and can only give one star for the Applewoi. We were invited there on Schnitzel Day and we waited for more than an hour for the food and then a few minutes for the waitress, who then informed us that our order had unfortunately been ignored in the kitchen. And then a schnitzel arrived that was beaten to death and baked to death with breading and absolutely hard fries. No way, not even for 11.00 euros. I'm definitely not going there again

Very nice restaurant. I was there with friends for Schnitzel Day. Frankfurter schnitzel with green sauce and fries for €11, you can't complain. Super large portion, schnitzel wasn't too dry and the fries were also juicy. Service was always pretty quick. New drinks were brought quickly and our food arrived very quickly, even though it was very full. It was a very nice evening. We'd love to come back. Please note that only cash payment is possible.

The side salad costs extra for the overpriced schnitzel... I also have to let the unkempt service tell me that we are a Frankfurt institution and don't need you as a customer because we are always fully booked by tourists. This was our last time in this disgusting and expensive institution.

What a beautiful beer garden, the beer tastes good and the food is a dream. I found the bratwurst on the menu for a good €10 to be a bit too expensive, but there was nothing wrong with the taste. We were all more than satisfied and will come back.

Almost slipped on the frying oil on the floor on the way to the toilet. When paying by card a 5% surcharge was required. I'm sorry, what? Parking spaces with 2-hour parking discs can be found nearby.

Not only was the food really good and the portions huge (starters can be left out), the children were also looked after in an absolutely friendly and courteous manner! We had a nice table; they brought out kids plates and cutlery and actually suggested having the order for the kids already split up on three plates in the kitchen instead of us having to do it at the table. They did not have any negative comments in regard to the kids making the usual mess while eating, talking very loudly, or even moving around in our area after being done eating. It was really nice to be able to relax and have their amazing food. We will definitely be coming back!

If you don't feel like cider bars in Frankfurt that are overrun with tourists, you can of course go to "Seppche" in Schwanheim. The menu offers typical Hessian specialties and seasonal highlights for small to large (and VERY large) appetites. At the start of goose season, the first few days are usually fully booked. Every day there is a changing dish for around 10 euros. Schnitzel, rump steaks and the legendary knuckle are offered at absolutely fair prices. If you like it airy, you can sit in the (heated and covered) courtyard all year round or in the cozy guest room. Almost 10 different types of beer in addition to wine and cider leave nothing to be desired. Simply delicious!
