Always happy to go there, good food, nice service. In summer there is also service in the beer garden. Nice location on Lake Neustadt, where you can go for a walk after a good meal. Also a good address for celebrations.

Beautifully located on a lake, a rustic Bavarian restaurant with original Bavarian hearty dishes, but also light dishes are available. A separate room for around 10 people, a veranda and a large beer garden invite you to linger. Also suitable with children + good price-performance ratio. Let me advise you, drink spades! 🍻

Delicious Bavarian food with a great rustic atmosphere. Great food, great service, great ambience. Just as it should be in a Bavarian parlor. We stopped there after a visit to the zoo before the long drive home; it was the right choice. Thank you!

Disaster, We had booked a family celebration with a buffet. The food was cold, the game, like the rest, was at most lukewarm. It wasn't refilled, so not every one of our guests got some of the meat. And you could taste that the food was just ready-made stuff from the package, the sauces had a grit-like consistency... 18 people were booked, we ended up with 15 and everyone's opinion was clear: catastrophic! There was ice cream for the desert, which must have thawed at some point since there was so much frozen water in it. And all of this for €1000…that’s a disgrace.

We were at the “Bavarian Krug” as part of a family celebration. The waitress and waiter were really nice, calm and very attentive. The menu includes good German cuisine, we were very impressed, there was fresh red cabbage and homemade dumplings. The Strindberg rump steak, game goulash and all other dishes were very tasty. We have already decided to stop by there again soon. Many thanks to the entire team.

The food was really good, with a nice selection and fresh ingredients. We particularly liked the service: attentive, friendly and with a good dose of humor. What was particularly nice was how easy it was to respond to our request for supplies at the buffet. Overall, a very pleasant experience, even if there is still some room for improvement. We would be happy to come back and can recommend it to others with a clear conscience!

We were there today to eat duck. Dumplings very fluffy, red cabbage very tasty. And the duck is unbeatably good. It's a big portion and the price is great. We'll definitely be back. Best regards

The Bavarian Krug in Magdeburg is a restaurant where there is cosiness, friendly service and very good food! HOME FOOD, you can still get it here. When I come from Hanover, there is always a “home feeling” for me. I have already received my regular table, which I was very happy about. “Zum Bayrisch Krug” – Bavarian cuisine at its finest! We recently had a birthday party there and I treated myself to a pork knuckle. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, with a crispy crust. The sauce was simply world class! The side dishes were also fresh and generously portioned. The atmosphere in typical Bavarian style with cozy wooden decor and atmospheric lighting rounded off the experience perfectly. If you're looking for hearty home cooking and Bavarian coziness, you've come to the right place!

We have our golden wedding anniversary on Saturday at the Bavarian Krug. celebrated. The food was very tasty and was also very nicely prepared. The ambience was right and the staff were very attentive. We had a charming waitress, she took great care of us and also gave me good advice. My special requests were also taken into account. Our guests also liked it and we are happy to recommend the restaurant. We have celebrated there several times and will definitely come back soon.

The service was excellent, very nice and friendly staff. The food was very tasty, it would be nice if the fried potatoes were not a ready-made product but homemade, that was the only negative. Otherwise the food was very good.

Very nice staff Had the Hamburger Schnitzel and have rarely eaten such delicious fried potatoes. So... there's no way to go if you're in Magdeburg.

My wife and I wanted to go out to eat there with our visit, but it was too hot 🥵 and stuffy in the restaurant and there was no service outside, so we wanted to open the windows in the restaurant and we were forbidden to do so 🚫! This was the second time we were there because we live nearby and the second time we were treated badly by this staff! We won't be seen in this shed again. I don't know how a store like that can survive!

Service very good that evening. I had a fish platter with salad and boiled potatoes. Unfortunately no sauce for the dish. Why not ? Dill sauce is easy to make. Taste okay. But not a highlight.

The Bavarian Krug is simply an incredible location, the atmosphere is perfect, the employees here are very friendly, helpful and fond of children, the food is on the table quickly even when it is full, you feel at home here. I'll come by more often!

Disaster, we had reserved for 7 people. When we arrived, a very unfriendly employee said that there was no table reserved for us. It was also impossible for 7 people to get a table in the half-empty restaurant. We should also explain to ourselves what kind of guests we are. We meet regularly in different locations to eat and chat, but we have never experienced anything like this. And our team was already playing a European Championship game that day, so the fact that many other guests were expected is a fairy tale in my opinion.

We went into a Bavarian restaurant, nice waiter Good evening we got! Then we chose a table, got the menus from another waiter (Boxer cut) and we ordered cola! The cola was Pepsi (yuck) no taste at all just like sweetener!! Oh well!! Ordered food Got, sauerkraut and boiled potatoes!! My husband was looking forward to half the knuckle when it came......... It was on the crust (floppy fat) The brown sauce has been made! Sauerkraut was sour! Potatoes were good! My plaice was delicious, couldn't fault anything, only the salad was unvarnished Melige tomatoes 🍅 and the other vegetables went back I paid a good €40 for a half-satisfied meal It's a shame, I thought it would have been better...

We always enjoy coming here. It's really nice, especially in summer when you can sit outside. The food is down-to-earth and the P/L ratio is right. A real winner is the Spaten beer, which is not available everywhere. In general there is a recommendation.

As a small party for the wedding we were guests at the Bavarian Krug. We were served excellently by a super nice and friendly waitress. There was something for everyone on the memory card. The meal was excellent. I would come here again at any time. The restaurant can only be recommended...

A nice place to stay and drink coffee

Today we were there again after a long time. We ordered goulash soup and a latte macchiato, among other things. According to the menu, the latte was 3.90 euros and the goulash soup was 5.40 euros, and we also ordered a slice of toast. We were very surprised when we received the bill and the latte cost 4.50 euros and the small slice of toast was charged 1.00 euros. When we asked, we were refunded the 0.60 cents with the note that they didn't know what the problem was The 1 euro for the slice of toast is the correct price, which has now been set by the boss. The waiter, very nice, wanted to talk to his boss about the problem the next day. I think an apology wouldn't have been a bad idea. In addition, the price of the toast should be mentioned when ordering additionally. Family Ahrens

Our favorite restaurant with German cuisine and it also tastes good like grandma used to make it. Well suited for family celebrations or a social evening with friends. Friendly staff, you can always find free parking. You should always reserve in advance if you are going with several people.
