The service was good, but the kitchen/chef was really bad. The chicken and pork schnitzel were completely dry (as you'd expect from German Greek restaurants), unfortunately, the gyro wasn't as tasty as it usually is. And the tzatziki was also mediocre. And as for the menu, you should learn the difference between "","" and "or." #achillesteller. Meat 1, meat 2, fries, rice (they have all kinds of meat, but you get fries OR rice). That evening, the only thing that was really good was the service.

The food was okay, but lacked a bit of spice... The service was terrible. The gentleman was so rude to us just because we didn't want ouzo. He would go to his table and throw his ashtray on the table or slam his hand against the wall, which is completely unacceptable. It was our first time there and it will be the last time. His behavior was totally unpleasant.

Generally good. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu was available, because, according to the waitress, she was on vacation and wouldn't order anything new. What's completely unacceptable is when the waitress takes a break and smokes two tables away, then serves again in between, leaving the lit cigarette behind. It's a shame.

We had lunch at Achilles today. The restaurant, the staff, and the food are highly recommended. The value for money is excellent. One small negative, but it's hardly significant. When you go to the restroom, you pass a cluttered corner. This spoils the otherwise very good overall impression. But, as I said, it's hardly significant. We'd be happy to come back.

We ate here for the first time for Mother's Day. Was a very good idea. 1 glass of champagne for moms for free, great idea. Our mother was thrilled and so were we. Fortunately, the food was great as always and the service was also friendly and polite. This makes eating out fun. Thank you very much, dear ones

The service was very friendly and attentive, the restaurant itself seems quite old-fashioned inside and therefore not necessarily cozy. The food itself was good, unfortunately the liver was raw inside and the plate didn't look much. Generally ok, but nothing more. Sorry.

Service was terrible, we waited over an hour for drinks, no apology, no nothing. Food is okay. They are stingy with ouzo and only reluctantly an ouzo is brought upon request.

I have eaten in the restaurant several times and it has always been satisfactory. That's why my colleagues and I ordered dinner yesterday via Lieferando. Unfortunately, this meal did not live up to previous impressions. Unfortunately, the delivery service did not see any additional requests for the meal. The fries were limp, the rice was bland and the Metaxa sauce was watery. Unfortunately one of the sauces leaked out of the bag. We also ordered in advance, but the food didn't arrive until 45 minutes later. Accordingly, the meal was barely lukewarm. I usually understand a late delivery. However, considering the other circumstances mentioned, it only further detracted from the dining experience..... SHAME! The meat tasted good as usual, but as I said... unfortunately it was no longer warm Feedback: Happy to eat on site, unfortunately NO having it delivered after this experience

Das Restaurant Achilles befindet sich im Erdgeschoss eines Hotels inmitten eines Wohngebietes. Viel los war in diesem Restaurant nicht als wir es besuchten. Da es Anfang September noch warm genug war, um draußen zu sitzen, entschieden wir uns für einen Außenplatz. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich es nicht sonderlich gemütlich fand. Die Speisekarte entspricht dem Standard, jedoch sind aus meiner Sicht zu viele Gerichte darauf. Ich habe mich nur für eine Vorspeise entschieden - den panierten Saganaki mit Honig. Der war ganz gut und ist auch zu empfehlen. Klar, gab es auch einen Ouzo zur Begrüßung, ohne dass wir nachfragen mussten. Aber mal ehrlich, wer Ouzo mag, kann sich doch Bitteschön eine Flasche kaufen und zu Hause trinken. Man muss doch nicht darauf hoffen, ein paar Shots beim Griechen zu ergattern.

We were here without a reservation. It's nice that it's open on Mondays. The atmosphere is nice, the menu is clear and sufficient. The portions are more than sufficient. The food was delicious. You can smoke in the atrium in the inner courtyard.

I was there for the first time 2 weeks ago. The food was a little more expensive than perhaps other Greeks, but the quality was very high. It was beautifully presented, the portions were large and it tasted wonderful. In any case, it wasn't the last time I was there. Another advantage is that you can also stay overnight in the hotel above if you are planning a larger celebration. It's just perfect for that.

Nice, modern atmosphere, but still recognizable as “Greek”. Comfortable seats. Delicious starter (cheese cream, spicy, slightly spicy), fresh salad before the main course and then a very good Apollon plate. Meat tender, not fatty, well seasoned. Fries tasty and tzatziki not too garlicky. Overall, a very good “Greek”. Only the usual “Alexis Zorba” CD might be a little more subtle in terms of volume.

We went to the Achilles Restaurant for the first time yesterday and I was thrilled. A very nice and quick service. We all enjoyed the food and the drinks too. We had a nice table and toilet was clean. Parking was very close. The outside area could be better maintained but the glass dome inside is great. We were surprised

We went for lunch yesterday at 11 Persons. Our impressions summarized: Coming back is a must. The food is not only very tasty, but also more than plentiful. The hit was the appetizer platters. We just ate the leftovers for dinner. Just great. We haven't had such good ice cream for a long time and the service made everything perfect. Keep it up. We'll meet Again.

Ladies and Gentlemen We were in the establishment for the first time today, as our Greek base is on holiday and we have already tested several restaurants in Magdeburg. As long-established reformers, a cat's jump to enjoy. When we arrived and received a warm welcome, we were directed to our reservation for four and were then able to choose our own table. The restaurant was already full at 5:30 p.m. There is the classic guest room, the glass-covered courtyard and the front terrace. The food is classic, similar to the Greek menu and very well prepared. Personally, the Metaxa sauce stands out for me, very tasty and full-bodied. The plates and pans were richly filled and had a relaxed price-performance ratio for today. The staff are always courteous and friendly, always ready to joke and do their jobs conscientiously and professionally. Taking uneaten food with you is no problem at all. One restaurant, one visit and absolute satisfaction. I don't take photos; you can make your own impression! My first impression was shocking. Garbage and empties are piling up outside. Even though it wasn't full, we had to wait a long time for our drinks and food. My gyros was a disaster and my girlfriend's meal wasn't a highlight either. The unfriendly waitress (blond) clearly showed that you weren't really welcome. There's plenty to choose from in MD...save yourself the trip.

Very nice Greek restaurant with friendly service. I really like the furnishings, the table groups are each separated. The food is tasty and served at a high standard. Parking is available on the streets (but very tight) and in the Siu Hotel car park.

I would like to come to you. Service, ambience and food are good. But I also have to say that at €18.50 for gyros with fries and €5 for a large beer, my absolute pain threshold has now been reached.

I'll make it short. We had garlic bread and tzatziki as a starter and then three gyros gratinated with fries and once the mushroom pan + fries. Everything tasted very good. A good indication is that the children ate it without hesitation. :) the service and ambience are also good. The only downside is perhaps the price. Every dish is a little more expensive than our favorite Greek restaurant. Otherwise I would eat there again.

Ordered here for the first time today, all in all not bad, we just missed the well-known Metaxa sauce, which was standard at our old Greek restaurant, at no extra charge. We were there in a birthday group of 12 people. Very nice cozy atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food very nicely prepared and generous portions. Extremely delicious. Also toilets, rarely so clean. We felt completely comfortable.

Envy is hard to work out. You did well! After visiting a number of Greek restaurants in Germany over the last two years, I finally returned home pampered, full and completely satisfied. Contrary to some reviews here, me and my four other guests are doing very well. It's clear to me why it was so well attended, the quality and service are impressive! By the way, for guests in MD I can absolutely recommend the Siu Hotel there. I'll be back with you soon!

My review has been deleted. So here again! The first impression in front of the restaurant was already shocking. Lots of trash, empty glass bottles piled up and bicycles lying around can be seen from the street. We entered the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere inside. The blonde waitress was visibly annoyed by our visit and could only smile at her colleagues. There was no sign of friendliness from the guest. The appetizers we ordered came quickly and were tasty. The main course was immediately pushed after without a breather, which we didn't like. But everyone enjoyed this one too… only the food was spoiled! We're all laying around with an upset stomach and handing over the bathroom handle. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone and would never go there again! The health department should take a closer look!!

Gestern Weihnachtsessen mit Kollegen. Abgesprochen war bis 23 Uhr. 21.40 mussten wir bezahlen und Punkt 22 Uhr war die Hütte dunkel. Für uns alle unfassbar. So etwas hat von uns noch keiner erlebt !!!!!! Waren 10 Personen ,hätte noch Umsatz gebracht. Hat man wohl nicht nötig ! Nie wieder !

Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Achilles. Nette Bedienung, guter Service und das Essen war super lecker! Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Essen sehr gut, Service ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig, da Umbestellungen sehr verkompliziert wurden, obwohl sie eigentlich einfach waren. Einen Expresso zu bekommen war möglich, diesem jedoch etwas Milch hinzuzufügen (Expresso Macciato) wurde jedoch schon zu viel diskutiertem Problem. Für Vegetarier kaum Speisen, auch hier waren Umbestellungen (weglassen von Fleisch, Ersatz durch Feta) eher schwierig. Schade, da das Essen, wie gesagt gut geschmeckt hat.

Man muss großen Hunger haben, Es gibt schönere griechische Restaurants in Magdeburg. Das Gyros war teilweise sehr zäh und auch knorpelig. Das Zaziki war geschmacklos. Ich hatte eine Cola bestellt gebracht hat man mir ein Bier, nach Reklamation habe ich eine Cola light bekommen. Schade Pommes war ok Das gab es dann für 23€. Zu teuer!!!

Meine Schwester hatte zu 17.30 Uhr einen Tisch für 9 Personen bestellt.Die Getränke Getränkebestellung ging noch zügig.Kein Ouzo zur Begrüßung, erst noch wiederholter Nachfrage.Dann endlich die Aufnahme der Essenbestellung.Wieder nach erfolgter Nachfrege bekamen wir unseren Salat. Nach 2 Stunden( 19.30 Uhr) noch kein Essen. Wir bezahlten und gingen hungrig nach Hause. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

The experience started that we couldn't sit outside, only in a echoing hall. They were bringing things fast, and they gave us a bag for take away, because we couldn't finish it, which was nice! Some staff members could've used some deodorant, but they were working hard!

Καλό απόγευμα! Wir haben bei Achilles bestellt. Und zwar 2x den Zentauer Teller! Die Lieferung ging zügig und der Fahrer hat angerufen bevor er da war! Sehr cool. Apropos Fahrer. Ich habe noch nie so einen freundlichen Lieferservice erlebt. Und das Essen war hervorragend! Frisch, sehr warm, und verdammt lecker! Wenn wir nächstes mal wieder auf der Ecke sind schauen wir mal im Restaurant vorbei! ευχαριστώ και καληνύχτα!

Ich liebe es ....das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienung unglaublich lieb. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Ich gehe öfter dort essen und es war immer super. Würde es jedem weiterempfehlen.

Waren schon zum 2 mal da weil der Sertvice ,die freundlichkeit und das Essen hervoragend sind . Verkanntes kleines griechiches Restaurant mit dem Gefühl als gast umsorgt zu werden und kein langes warten auf das Essen . Werden da öffters noch einkehren-glaube habe jetzt meinen griechen in Magdeburg gefunden und schon einige getestet.Außerst nettes Personal.

Çalışanlar güzel yüzlü, yemekleri harika, ben güveç sipariş ettim çok lezzetliydi, ismini bilmiyorum ama 60 numaraydi sanırım menüde. Her bira siparişimin yanında uzo ikram ettiler. Yunanistan'dan beri uzo icmemistim benim için bir değişiklik oldu. Türk olduğumu anladıkları için Tarkan şarkısı çaldılar. Ben şahsen cok beğendim. Fiyat/Kalite 10/10

Nachdem wir jetzt hier mehrmals gespeist haben- super, wir sind zufrieden! Der Service ist gut, das Essen ist lecker und gut proportioniert- also unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Nach langem Warten war es endlich soweit- ein neuer Pächter im Merkurhotel- zu unserer Freude ein Grieche. Im Radius von mindestens einem Kilometer gibt es hier keine Gaststätte. Die Location bietet aus meiner Sicht ideale Bedingungen für ein griechisches Restaurant- Parkplatz, Straßenbahnhaltestelle, Biergarten, Innenraum und ein herrliches überdachtes Atrium. Jetzt muss nur noch das Essen passen- einfach lecker und typisch griechisch. Das stellt scheinbar ein Problem dar! Dass die statt Reis bestellten Pommes nicht kamen, kann man entschuldigen, aber dass alle Essen relativ geschmacksneutral rüberkamen, die grünen Bohnen völlig verkocht waren- wahrscheinlich schon 3 Tage aufgewärmt- zeigt mir doch, dass man den Ernst der Lage noch nicht erkannt hat. Meine konstruktive, gut gemeinte Kritik prallte ab wie Wasser am Felsen: fehlender Knoblauch in der Knoblauchsoße (lt. Karte) wurde damit begründet, dass manche keinen Knoblauch mögen. Bezüglich der fehlenden Gewürzmenage- in mediterranen Gaststätten üblich mit Öl, Essig, Pfeffer und Salz- meinte die Kellnerin- dies sei alles im Essen. Ich bleibe dran, um zu sehen, ob nicht doch mehr möglich ist- schließlich wohne ich um die Ecke und würde gern oft hier essen- muss natürlich schmecken!
