Great location right on the Moselle. Very tasty and reasonably priced wines. Delicious goulash soup. The owner is really great, super friendly. We felt totally comfortable and came back again during our stay. Thank you!

You sit comfortably in the old train station and the food is very tasty, along with a delicious red peach liqueur.

Nice place to eat. Friendly staff, but also a bit impatient (I think she didn't sense that very well). Food was traditional German. Pretty straight forward, but tasty. It was striking that they had no desserts. The acoustics inside are moderate. If you can sit outside, you have a beautiful view. A decent address for a simply good bite.

Very nice and fitting atmosphere for the train station. The “older” waitress is great, attentive and very friendly. The “younger one” does her job. The food (pasta with salmon in basil cream sauce and schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce) was very, very tasty and really large portions. The price ratio is absolutely right. It's a shame that quite a lot of cream was used, which makes the food a bit flat. We would go back at any time!

Great, we come to Zell every year and the old train station is a must visit. The schnitzels are highly recommended, and the little wine tasting afterwards is also nice. Delicious food, service is good and sitting outside is much nicer than inside. Reservation strongly recommended.

We were here twice. On the first evening without a reservation, we were lucky and got the last free table. Reservation may be advisable. Food very tasty, very good wine, nice ambience and super nice staff. Recommended.

We wanted to have a seat for 4 people outside at the table that was reserved for 5:30 p.m. but it wasn't until 6:30 p.m. when we asked, the answer was yes, people could sit inside if the weather was good you could sit outside again. That was for us Unacceptable either inside or outside so that's not possible at all

Best schnitzel ever. 2 large pieces of meat, not flattened, super juicy, tender and fried in clarified butter. Clearly enough to fill you up. Incl. 1 glass of wine only 24 euros. In addition, very friendly service and a view of the Moselle. The parking spaces here on the banks of the Moselle are all free.

Der Aussenbereich war in Ordnung. Bei Nachfrage ob die Schnitzel in der Pfanne oder der Fritteuse gebraten sind wurde mir ein Vortrag über die Zubereitung gehalten, jedes Schnitzel wird in neuen Öl in der Pfanne gebraten. Mein bestelltes Schnitzel war dermaßen Öllastig sodass ich die Panade nicht essen konnte.

We arrived at the Old Train Station without a reservation. There wasn't a free table outside, so we sat inside and asked to be moved if an outdoor table became available. All the service staff were super friendly and after a short time we were asked outside, for which we were very grateful. Our schnitzels were excellent - very tender and very plentiful. Despite being hungry, it was almost impossible to eat the normal portion. We would have returned there the next day, but unfortunately it was a rest day.

Great location, you sit in the front row. The chef offers regional dishes. Price/performance not expensive. Not only visited by tourists. I like it.

Ordered Rinderhuftsteak for 28 euros, where there were too many tendons and therefore inedible, which was reported to the waitress without compensation as a result. Therefore left 1/3 steak and cannot be recommended as a place to eat!

Het eten was smakeloos, een hertenbiefstuk dat volledig grijs was gebakken met een zoute saus. Wat een teleurstelling! Ook de mensen die naast ons zaten vonden het eten niet lekker. Zij waren Duitsers, wij Nederlanders. Wat jammer van onze laatste avond aan de Moezel..

Really lovely historic place, to stop by and enjoy the local wines and some delicious food. Servers were really friendly and it is possible to pay by card. Veggie options are also present, with a varied menu that has something for everybody. Prices are moderate, fitting to the quality of the food.

Pure nostalgia when the little model train with steam locomotive sound comes along. Great, tasty cuisine with delicious wines. Everything the tourist and local heart desires 😋😋

My girlfriend had to go to the bathroom, so I chose a table alone. Not much later the owner came to me and pointed to a sign that the place is for 2 people without saying hello/good day. When I said my girlfriend was on the toilet it was okay. We ordered a lasagna and a schnitzel but both were of mediocre quality. The lasagna looked like it had already been reheated 3 times, the schnitzel looked better but you could taste that the sauce was not homemade + the schnitzel was very tough.

Stopped by by chance, well attended, when we asked we were offered a table for 4 people, luckily, we were told that it would take a while to get the food as the restaurant was quite full, we thought that was very good and wasn't a problem , Employee very friendly, food was very tasty, again at any time

Only passed by on a tour of Zell, so I can only describe the beautiful building from the outside in a beautiful location on the Moselle. Not more. If it's well-maintained from the outside, that's a good sign.

Das Essen war gut bürgerlich. Wo wir nicht mit gerechnet haben war, das die Schnitzelgerichte sehr üppig mit 2 Schnitzeln gedeckt waren. Der Beilagensalat bestand leider nur aus etwas grünem Blattsalat das war etwas schade. Ansonsten war der Service freundlich. Von der Aussenterasse hatt man einen schönen Blick auf die Mosel.

Hier moet je weliswaar reserveren, maar gezien de kwaliteit elke avond volgeboekt. We spreken september. Voortreffelijke keuken, leuke ambiance met foto's van de ELNA trein die hier reed. Opmerkzaam personeel. Aanrader.

Essen ist sehr lecker. Fleisch, vegetarische Gerichte, Salate oder für den kleinen Hunger. Es gibt auch Wurstplatte. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Man sollte reservieren. Wir waren im Außenbereich. Im Hintergrund läuft manchmal eine Geräuschekulisse. Eine fahrende und pfeifende Dampflock. Man sitzt eben am alten Bahnhof.

Tolle Lage, Preis-Leistung echt gut. Kleine Weinprobe - drei Weine kann man sich selbst aussuchen - und man bezahlt dafür nur einen geringen Preis.

Wir sind spontan an einem Wochentag gegen 19 Uhr vorbeigekommen. Es war nur noch ein Tisch frei, also hatten wir Glück. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Ich ein kleiner Plausch mit den Kunden war noch drin, ohne das die anderen Kunden vernachlässigt wurden. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Portion war sehr groß und trotzdem zu einem fairen Preis. Getränke kamen sehr schnell und auch mit Karte könnte bezahlt werden (was oft woanders leider nicht selbstverständlich ist). In jedem Fall können wir das Restaurant sehr weiterempfehlen, sollte aber unbedingt reservieren.

I am not a huge fan of schnitzel but those one were really nice. Wine too as well as the service. Location was ok but the view om the Mosel river was disappointing as there is a road and a car park inbetween.

Gezellige locatie, goed eten en vriendelijk personeel. Al heel wat jaren vaste klant bij de familie Lehmen. Niet alleen voor de wijn en het eten maar ook voor de sfeer.

De Moezel, in het bijzonder Zell am Mosel, is één van de mooiste plekken op aarde. Maar wel op de Duitse manier. Prachtig zicht op de Moezel, de wijnranken in een gemoedelijke, vriendelijke omgeving. Zo ook de Bahnhof in Zell. We komen er al jaren en elk jaar eten we er minimaal één of twee keer. Geen heel uitgebreide kaart, wel goed en meer dan genoeg op je bord. Nee, geen dessert. Door een gebrek aan personeel, kun je daarvoor naar de buurman voor een super ijsje. Vriendelijke bediening, Peter en Lydia kennen ons als we er komen. En super wijnen. Gemaakt door de zoon. Hij is Winzer-Meister en Vinoloog.

Schönes kleines Restaurant direkt an der Mosel, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Tolles "ehemaliger Bahnhof" Ambiente. Das Essen war leider nur mittelmäßig, da die Schnitzel sehr fest waren, die Champions für die Soße unserer Erfahrung nach aus dem Glas / Dose. Man sollte auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren, da das Restaurant immer gut besucht ist.

Nice outdoor seating area with a gigantic umbrella, perfect for rainy days. Views overlooking the Mosel river. The wine was superb! I ordered the smoked trout with radish sauce and bread and butter, very good. The other two people at my table ordered the steak and fries. Both were happy with the flavor of the steak, but said it was rare and too chewy. The young man waiting on us was very friendly and attentive.

Via TripAdvisor tot bij dit restaurant gekomen. 4 Sterrett is overroepen voor ons. Wij namen een kinderschotel, schnitzel, gehaktbrrod en steak. Alles was ok, maar zeer eentonig van smaak. De kinderschotel waren 2 knackworsten met frieten, zonder groenten. De bediening was ok maar niet zo professioneel. De omgeving en het zicht is prachtig, we hadden zicht op de Mosel.

Sehr schön gelegen. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell. (2 Pkt. für den Service, 1 Pkt. für Essen.) Die Gulaschsuppe war leider etwas geschmacklos. Der Beilagensalat war ein wenig zerrupfter grüner Salat mit einer halben Kirschtomate. Ein bisschen gehobelte Möhre etwas Mais würden das Bild ändern. Das Schnitzel war zu dick, nicht geklopft und damit etwas zäh.

Hier sitzt man sehr nett im Aussenbereich, die Bedienung ist freundlich und wir stärkten uns vor der Weiterfahrt mit frischen Erdbeeren in Prosecco und Apfelschorle. Zum nahenden Abendessen wurden dann auf allen Tischen "Reserviert-Schilder" verteilt, also lieber vorausdenken!
