We decided to eat here on a Saturday afternoon based on the great pictures online and the positive reviews. We got a comfortable seat upstairs, the waiter was quick and served us right away. Unfortunately, we didn't really find the food we were looking for on the menu, so we only had a few drinks. The restaurant is in a great location, and in the summer, I can easily imagine sitting comfortably on the terrace with a cool drink and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough space for a proper lunch for us; maybe next time.

After about half an hour, a waiter came and took our order: two drinks and two meals. It took another 30 minutes for a soup and three smoked Nuremberg sausages to arrive. The food was disappointing in terms of taste. All in all, the visit to this restaurant was disappointing.

You can truly enjoy food in a beautiful setting. We spent two wonderful evenings, had a great time with the staff, and there was even free beer! We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended, and with the right seat, you'll even get a view of the beer slide ;)

Probably the best location in Nuremberg's Old Town, with a new owner who manages to enrich traditional Franconian cuisine with an innovative, modern twist. Even I, as a Nuremberg native, am pleasantly surprised. Add to that the wonderful and very attentive service of Sofia, and you'll have a fantastic evening in Nuremberg's beautiful Old Town.

The food was really delicious, even if some of the new dishes seemed rather strange (pretzel pizza). Restrooms on the third floor are also a challenge after a few beers.

In November 2024, I visited this restaurant and was served a cold pretzel pizza- only to find out it had been taken from another table! It seemed to belong to the manager (there was a laptop on the table, etc.), who apparently hadn’t had the chance to eat it yet. When I questioned it, the waitress admitted it was a “mistake.” But honestly, it felt far more like a deliberate attempt to pass off someone else’s untouched meal as mine. This is, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Yes, they eventually brought me a new pizza, but the fact that I still paid for anything at all that night is something I deeply regret.

We came to this place because of their reviews. No one attended us. We spent there half an our waiting. I had to call a waiter just him to tell me that they were not taking any more tables because they had a big group inside. We just waited our time, terrible service.

The restaurant's interior is very local, with wooden benches and tables. The building also has a classic German feel. The patio offers a beautiful view of the market square. Beautiful beer garden below the castle. Located at Tiergärtnertor Platz. The food is good. Drinks are good too, especially the house lemonade. The service is friendly, too. We always enjoy going there.

This restaurant has stolen my heart. It has a really pleasant view and a cozy atmosphere. The dishes were a little smaller than I expected, but they were served quickly and nicely prepared. The Brezel pizza is a must-try — I haven’t seen it anywhere else until today.

The food there is very tasty, some of it offered in rather unusual variations. I think the prices are fair for the location. We sat outside. Unfortunately, the noise level can be a bit loud there. Another positive is that it's also very dog-friendly.

We sat down at a table outside and were ignored. Other guests arrived after us, right next to us. They immediately approached them, and we were walked past as if we were air. It was a real shame, so we had to go to the competition.

Today was my first time eating at Albrecht Dürer. I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was fantastic. The main course was a dream. And the dessert: the pistachio cheesecake and the hop ice cream were truly amazing. I highly recommend it. I'll be back again.

We wanted to try a different German restaurant and spontaneously decided on this one. We missed some typical dishes on the menu, like roast beef. Since the selection wasn't that extensive, we opted for bratwurst and pulled pork shoulder. The sausages were nothing special. The pork shoulder, however, was very tasty. It was also disappointing that no local beer was offered, only Munich beer... The service was okay. Not particularly courteous, unfortunately. We saw several times that our plates could have been cleared, but this wasn't done for a while. Besides, it's obviously not the restaurant's fault, but we were bothered by at least 10 flies and a few wasps. When we asked for coffee grounds to light and chase them away, they said they didn't have any. How can that be done when they offer several types of coffee? Of course, that pretty much ruined the ambiance... It wasn't bad, but there are certainly better German restaurants... especially with a better ambiance.

I've eaten here several times, but unfortunately haven't reviewed it yet. The restaurant is beautifully situated overlooking Tiergärtnertorplatz with some outdoor seating. The menu is small but fine, complemented by current dishes and drinks. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. We've always enjoyed it. Yesterday we opted for the mini Schäufele (pork shoulder) and the Franconian bratwurst. They came with a side salad—everything was delicious. We shared a pistachio cheesecake—it was absolutely amazing! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. The Zum Albrecht Dürer Haus is highly recommended in Nuremberg's Old Town.

Wir sind durch die Stadt gebummelt und ganz zufällig auf dieses Restaurant am Fußes der Burg gestoßen. Man kann schön draußen sitzen und Birg und Stadt bewundern. Ich hatte eine vegane Brezenpizza und bin absolut begeistert davon! Knusprigen Brezenboden mit veganem Schmand und veganem Käse sowie Grillgemüse und einem kleinen Häufchen Salat in der Mitte. SUPERLECKER!!! Nur der Preis ist m.E. etwas happig - 14,50€ für diese Pizza. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Ich würde aber jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

The Schnitzel was good but the pork shoulder was very meh. Staff correct. A bit overprized, it's located at a very picturesque place, you pay for the views, so if you're not sitting in the garden or near the windows with a view, it's not worth it.

We were there for the first time today and will definitely be back! Very varied, modern menu, but also typical Franconian cuisine. Our personal highlight was the pretzel pizza topped with white sausage and the raspberry Raffaelo layered dessert for dessert. Everything was lovingly prepared and delicious! The ambiance, both inside and out, is really beautiful, with a view of the castle. Please keep it up 😋

They have the typical smoked beer but expensive. We ordered a tray for 2 pax. with 2 kinds of sausages and minced meat “steaks”, according to the description. There were 6 + 4 finger-thin sausages and the fillet had 2 meatballs. Lots of sauerkraut, cheese with horseradish and potato salad that represents 80% of the attractive tray. The service of doing it 25'!!! You pay the site which is typical.

We loved this restaurant so much we went 2 days in a row for lunch. The staff are very friendly there is table seating outside when it is sunny and cosy tables upstairs when it is cold. There are good vegetarian options and everything we ate was delicious. We thought it was excellent value for money and a good choice of food options.

Restaurant has an old school charm and architecture that is warm and relaxing. Fantastic homecooked food and friendly service. All menu choices looked really good. Reservations are easy to make and are strongly recommended, especially on a Saturday night. Table is yours for a fair 1.5 hours, so make sure to arrive on time.

A great restaurant in one of the most beautiful places in Nuremberg. Both the indoor dining room and the outdoor area invite you to linger. The service is very attentive and friendly. What is particularly noteworthy, however, is the menu, which includes both traditional Franconian dishes and modern interpretations of Franconian/Bavarian dishes, such as Pulled Schäufele. Both meat lovers and vegetarians/vegans will find what they are looking for here. I can recommend everyone to watch the hustle and bustle at Tiergärtnertorplatz from the outdoor area on a summer evening with a glass of wine and an Erlanger salmon trout. We'd love to come back. The price is also absolutely right.
