Zorbas Grill in Aachen

Dieses Restaurant überzeugt nicht nur mit hervorragendem Essen, sondern auch mit großzügigen Portionen. Man könnte fast sagen: Hier fühlt man sich wie in den guten alten Zeiten. Die Speisekarte ist klein und übersichtlich, bezahlt wird ausschließlich bar – und genau das trägt irgendwie zum besonderen Charme bei. Vor allem aber schmeckt das Essen einfach fantastisch. Wir selbst wohnen gar nicht in Aachen. Aber jedes Mal, wenn wir dort einen Freund besuchen, führt uns der Weg in dieses Lokal, weil es uns dort einfach immer wieder hervorragend schmeckt. Ein besonderer Tipp für alle, die Aachen noch nicht kennen: Durch die Nähe zu den Niederlanden gehört dort Sauerbraten mit Pommes frites zu den regionalen Spezialitäten. Für viele Deutsche mag diese Kombination zunächst ungewohnt wirken – aber glaubt mir: Probiert sie unbedingt einmal aus. Es lohnt sich! Guten Appetit! 🍽️

Das Essen im Zorba's ist wirklich köstlich. Das Fleisch wird frisch gegrillt, und die Wartezeit ist nicht besonders lang. Das Lokal ist nicht sehr groß, daher haben wir problemlos einen Tisch für ein frühes Abendessen bekommen. Der einzige und größte Nachteil ist, dass man nicht mit Karte zahlen kann und die Informationen an der Tür nur auf Deutsch sind. Für jemanden, der ein paar Brocken Deutsch spricht, war das eine unangenehme Überraschung. Wir leben im 21. Jahrhundert, und plötzlich wird nur noch bar bezahlt. Denken Sie daran, Bargeld mitzubringen, da der nächste Geldautomat einige hundert Meter entfernt ist. Insgesamt kann ich das Restaurant empfehlen, da das Essen köstlich war. 😋 P.S.: Man kann seinen Hund mitbringen, aber nicht jeder hat etwas dagegen. Ich mag es ruhig, aber Hunde können manchmal etwas anstrengend sein.

Sehr gut!!!! Das Essen wird frisch zubereitet, es werden keine tiefgekühlten Produkte verwendet. Es ist einfache aber sehr authentische griechische Küche. Danke dafür.

Ein entzückendes kleines Lokal in einem Wohngebiet. Köstliches Essen, große Portionen, preiswert. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Gemütliche Atmosphäre. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich war in einem Monat dreimal dort, zweimal dort essen, einmal zum Mitnehmen. Personal war immer freundlich, Essen war immer gut und reichlich. Ob 4 oder 5 Sterne beim Ambiente, das einfache Restaurant versucht ein bischen Griechenland-Gefühl zu erzeugen, was gelingt.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Gefühlt ist es mehr ein Imbiss mit Restaurantcharakter aber das finde ich nicht negativ, sollte einem nur bewusst sein. Es war gut gefüllt und wir konnten ohne Reservierung den letzten Platz ergattern (gibt aufgrund der Größe nicht so viel Platz). Die Bedienung war freundlich, das Essen war schnell da. Vorspeise war top (Saganaki), das Hauptgericht war okay (Bifteki). Die Portionen waren gut und es gab einen Vorspeisensalat der auch in Ordnung war. Getränke wurde aus dem Kühlschrank im Eingangsbereich auf den Tisch gestellt und man musste sich selber aus der Flasche einschenken. Ist okay, dadurch aber wieder mehr diesen Imbissflair. Parkplätze gibt es nicht weshalb wir beim benachbarten Rewe geparkt haben. Der Hammer war jedoch der Preis. 44 € für eine Vorspeise, zwei Hauptgerichte (mit Vorspeisensalat), drei Getränke und zwei Gratis Ouzo für 44 € hab ich noch nicht erlebt. Das ist wirklich unschlagbar gut weshalb ich sagen muss das Preis Leistung absolut stimmt. Kann ich also ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.

Sehr freundliche Besitzer die mit sehr viel Herzblut dabei sind, das merkt man einfach. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und qualitativ hochwertig. Eins meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Aachen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Edit: Wieder erneut keine Rechnung erhalten. Weder gibt es im Imbiss eine mit TSE zertifizierte Kasse, noch gibt es keine Registrierkasse, die mittlerweile Pflicht geworden ist! An die Betreiber, wieso habt ihr keine anständige Kasse? Oder warum ist Kartenzahlung nicht möglich? Statt diesem Büro Taschenrechner und das selbst öffnen der Ladebuchse ist das alles echt auf Dauer doch anstrengend. Das Gyros ist okay. Manchmal zu trocken, manchmal okay. Ist eigt 1 zu 1 gleich geblieben, wie auch damals bei den "Jiannis-Grill" Hier wird die Bon Pflicht einfach nicht eingehalten, kein Kassenbon oder Bewirtungsbeleg nach dem Bezahlvorgang. Die Speisen werden wie immer mit einem Büro Taschenrechner zusammen addiert und die Ladebuchse wird per Hand geöffnet. Wann wird Kartenzahlung eingeführt und wann dürfen wir damit rechnen, dass ihr uns mit eine zertifizierte TSE Kasse abrechnet?

This is where you can find the best gyros in town. The chef is always in a good mood, and the service is very customer-oriented and friendly. You usually don't have to wait long for your food. The prices are reasonable; you can't complain. Somehow, the place is more or less busy at any time of day. You can peek into the kitchen and see for yourself how the food is prepared.

There isn't enough food; they're so stingy with the sauces and fries. It's a shame the previous owner showed us that. They don't sell anything in Burtscheid. We just want to be full.

By far the best gyro in town! I now live near Osnabrück, but every time I'm in Aachen, a visit here is a must. Just the thought of it makes me hungry. I've tried gyros at many other places, but none come close to this taste and the customer service. I'll be back in December – and I'm already looking forward to it!

A great Greek restaurant, just what visitors want: decent food at a reasonable price and friendly staff! The atmosphere is more like a snack bar, but it's clean and perfectly adequate. If we're ever in Aachen again, we'll be happy to come back.

Delicious food, but the old magic is missing. I was very happy to return to Zorbas after a long time; it was always my absolute favorite Greek restaurant. But as soon as I walked in, I noticed something had changed: The owner is no longer the same. Giannis, with his incredible charisma and warm personality, seems to have retired. I was honestly sad about it, but we stayed anyway because I really wanted to eat a gyro pita. The food was, as always, delicious, and the two young women who served us were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the new owner; he seemed unfriendly and reserved, which left a bitter aftertaste to the whole visit. We were there with 7 adults and 8 children, originally just for a quick bite, but then had to stay longer due to the sudden rain. It was nice that we were still well looked after. Conclusion: Zorbas remains a place for good Greek food, but the warm atmosphere and special charm of the past have unfortunately been lost.

Anyone who appreciates a good gyro and loves Greek cuisine is in the best hands here. Here, you'll still experience the quality and passion for simple, yet delicious Greek cuisine. As I said, the pita gyro is a dream! There's nothing better in Aachen's city center!

Incredibly friendly people and delicious food at an unbeatable price. The vegetarian pita is highly recommended, not least because the bread is incredibly fresh and flavorful. In summer, you can sit comfortably on the small terrace in the backyard.

From 5 to 1 star after the change of ownership! Absolute disaster after the change! The food was carelessly thrown onto the plates. The sauce still had lumps because it wasn't heated properly! The service was extremely unfriendly. Today, when we took salad and fries to go because we had too much, both were slapped together on a small paper plate! The salad wasn't even in a bowl, and half of it was missing. Some of the sauces contained onions that had no place in the sauces and weren't even labeled. The schnitzel was frozen, which you can taste. Furthermore, our food wasn't hot; our orders were heated one after the other, and not even properly. The female server was awful at all; a very unfriendly and irritated person who seemed overwhelmed by everything. Apparently, there's a shortage of, for example, onions there now. For example, lemons, which are part of a Wiener schnitzel, even though Rewe is across the street and open until 10 p.m. The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right anymore. It's a shame, we used to go there often and enjoyed it, but today we've really had enough, and we'll avoid the store in the future.

We recently ate here with the family and have to say that this Greek restaurant/snack bar is one of the best in Aachen. The service and owners are always nice and friendly. The meat portions are really good and not like at other Greek snack bars, which are always thinner and more economical – here you still get a decent portion and at least the same price as elsewhere. There's also a covered outdoor area at the back of the shop. Everything is beautifully decorated with typical Greek motifs and pictures, as it should be and as you would expect as a customer. We'd be happy to come back :)

The recipe consists of very careful spices that give the country its character Represent. Only then do you really understand what this has to do with the chosen name of the restaurant. Pita was very good as always, unfortunately the schnitzel wasn't anything special. Within reason, but the quality of the meat was unfortunately in the lower chip shop category. Then next time I'd rather have the Greek grilled specialties

Normally the food is great, but as soon as you're stressed it goes away. For example, the schnitzel is too small, the sauce is too watery and the portion of fries is unfortunately much too small.

We were transiting and came here at the end of the evening. The staff are super friendly. It’s only been open 6 months, so wish them the best of luck. It’s cash only BTW. Portions large, we won’t be buying breakfast tomorrow. I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere as we arrived at 9-30 and we were the only ones there.

Noch vor ein paar Wochen hat die "Pizza Gyros Spezial groß" über 1 kg gewogen. In letzter Zeit wiegt sie nur noch 800 g. Ist das eine heimliche Preiserhöhung ?

Since Zobras recently changed ownership, some of the dishes have been slimmed down significantly, but the price has also increased at the same time. The farmer's salad is now a joke, even the olive oil was stingy, a total shame.

We tried this snack bar for the first time and placed a bulk order to take away. So I have to say the portions are very good, the taste is really good. This is how a gyros should be and nothing else. In terms of price, everything is within reasonable limits. However, I didn't like the fact that you don't get a drink with an order value of €70 like with others. But otherwise great, keep it up.

For a miniature portion of fries with ketchup and a small malt beer we paid 7 euros 30... That's almost twice as expensive as a mountain hut in the best ski area!!! And instead you sit in a dark...uncomfortable..."dining room" The store will never see us again!!!
