Zollhaus in Landshut

Wir waren zum Valentinstag schon dort zum Menü essen und das hat uns so gut gefallen, das wir zum Hochzeitstag nun auch hin sind. Das Restaurant war gut gefüllt und obwohl eine Firmenfeier ausgerichtet wurde, haben wir sehr freundlichen Service gehabt. Man hat uns sogar den Tisch nett eingedeckt. Wir hatten keine längeren Wartezeiten und das Essen kam heiß an den Tisch. Das Essen war wieder so lecker und reichlich. Gruß an die Küche. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war super lecker, der Service war in Ordnung, teilweise hat das Bringen der Bestellung gedauert. Bei der Hitze aber verständlich. Die Location ist sehr nett, alles war sauber und ordentlich. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, auch alles gepflegt. Ein Besuch ist es wert, das Essen ist gut und man wird satt, preislich in Ordnung. Man kommt gern wieder. Danke für die Zeit.

Das Essen war gut. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Seid Jahren eine gute Adresse. Nun sind wir leicht schockiert über Geschmack und Qualität des Essens sowie der Atmosphäre. Das Servicepersonal ratschend und nicht besonders motiviert, der 2. besetzte Tisch lautstark verärgert, weil man bereits 1 Std. auf das Essen gewartete. Es kamen weitere Gäste und besetzten den 3. Tisch. Dort wurde das Essen zügig serviert. Wir warteten mit Kleinkind brav auch 50 Minuten auf unser Essen. Das Essen war geschmacklich leider nicht mehr das, was es immer war. Die Soße war wässrig, Spätzle kalt, der Geschmack - ganz ehrlich, es war ein ausgesprochen enttäuschendes Essen zu einem Preis.....naja. Bei 3 besetzten Tischen eine schwache Leistung. Der angeschmuddelte Kinderstuhl war auch nicht appetitlich. Die Nachspeise haben wir uns erspart. Schade!

Wir waren mit 14Personen zum Muttertag beim Mittagessen. Alle waren zufrieden , allen hat es geschmeckt. Für die Mütter gab es kostenlos 1Glas Champagner.

Schönes Bayrisches Restaurant, wie man es sich vorstellt. Ich bin vorsichtig bei Steaks geworden, aber das war wirklich gut! Auch der Burger ist super! Komme definitiv wieder

Leider war der eine Burger teilweise roh und beide Bürger kalt. Dafür waren die Pommes richtig heiß 🔥. Deswegen beim Essen nur 3 Sterne. Geschmacklich war es trotzdem sehr gut.

Kleiner Biergarten unweit der Brauerei Wittmann in Landshut. Auf einer Rad-Tour machten wir hier kurz Halt und genossen ein frisch gezapftes Helles aus der benachbarten Brauerei.

Essen und Service sehr zufriedenstellend! Geräumiges Wirtshaus mit Nebenzimmern.

Im Allgemeinen ist das Lokal gut, der Service freundlich und das Essen lecker. Die kleine Dessertauswahl hat mir nicht gefallen (deshalb habe ich keins bestellt). Das Steak am Nachbartisch hingegen, dessen Spezialität es ist, riecht so stark nach Braten, dass es sich im ganzen Raum ausbreitet. Wahrscheinlich schmeckt es auf der Sommerterrasse besser.

Essen wirklich lecker!!!! Kommt schnell nach Bestellung. Aber so ehrlich muss man sein. Es war sau sau sau teuer. Wäre ich nicht eingeladen worden würde ich dort nicht mal etwas zum trinken bestellen! Ich finde die Preise stehen im keinen Verhältnis zur Portionsgröße. Also für Personen die nicht aufs Geld schauen müssen, wirklich zum empfehlen. Trotz des sau guten Essens würd ich dort nie privat mit meiner Familie hin gehen. Wünsche trotzdem den Gastwirten alles Gute.

Freundliche Bedienung, bayerisches Ambiente und ein wunderbares Essen ließen diesen Abend zu einem besonderen werden. Empfehlenswert!

The Zollhaus aims for a middle-class to upscale experience, both in terms of its offerings and prices. The food lives up to this expectation – but if you're really hungry, this isn't the place for you. However, the service is truly abysmal: First, our reservation was canceled for some unknown reason – something I only learned upon arrival. As a replacement, we were given a table in the side room, which is very echoey, right next to the very noisy table for eight. Then we were served by three different servers who clearly didn't communicate with each other. As a result, my wife received the wrong food, including a hair on her plate. "Served" is also an exaggeration: One server sniffled the entire time and spoke extremely quietly, while the second didn't care at all; friendliness apparently only comes at an extra cost. Overall, none of the three bothered to walk around the table to place my wife's drink or plate in front of her. Everything just sat there unattended. Clearing the table was also very slow – only after the neighboring table had finished eating. We were then served by three different servers who clearly didn't communicate with each other. When I asked about the house schnapps, the server didn't even know if it was available (it wasn't). There were no inquiries to see if everything was alright; I felt like I was bothering them. What the kitchen builds up, the service completely ruins. This was only the second time in my life that I didn't leave a tip.

We spontaneously reserved a table and were impressed by the typical Bavarian atmosphere. Of course, we ordered a wheat beer and a shandy. For food, we had the dry-aged burger (cooked medium) with sweet potato fries and the brewery-style skillet. Highly recommended! Friendly service.

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant! The meat was delicious, the al dente vegetables were very tasty, and the restaurant itself is lovely. Plus, we were served by a super friendly young man!

Unfortunately, the quality was poor; the pork was very dry and tough, the sauce very thin, and the cream sauce wasn't the classic mushroom sauce but rather a mixture of different mushrooms that didn't go well with it. The price-performance ratio was poor.

The planning of our private event was plagued by a lack of communication and misunderstandings on the part of the venue. The responsible parties were either unavailable or unreachable. Furthermore, critical details were communicated far too late, leading not only to frustration but also to heated discussions. Thanks to the friendly staff at the event itself, it was nevertheless a success despite the initial difficulties.

Food was amazing, drinks were amazing. Well done spot. Our food did take a long time, but there was a large sports team before so I understand the delay. All and all, would go back.

The food took a very long time to prepare. Unfortunately, my steak wasn't cooked to perfection. However, I received a new one without any fuss, and it was cooked perfectly. The roast beef was missing the herb butter. At some point, the waiter stopped bringing drinks. They only came when I asked for them.

Excellent Bavarian cuisine with top-quality food. Despite modernization, the restaurant has retained its old-world charm. (I know the "old" Zollhaus very well). The staff is unobtrusively friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The Witzmann beer on tap is highly recommended. All in all, a restaurant that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Overall, I was very satisfied. However, today's service didn't quite reach the level of my first visit. The burger, which I ordered medium-rare, was cooked well-done – as were the others. The Kaiserschmarrn was good, but the quality wasn't quite up to par with the first time. It's a shame that the previously very high standard wasn't maintained throughout. The venison, on the other hand, was excellent. The service staff was attentive and very friendly. I will still come back. It was probably just an off day.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. We arrived at 6 PM. After an hour, we called to ask, but they forgot about us. Then they told us they were out of Spätzle. We came back later, and they were also out of roast pork. The meat was just sitting carelessly in a pan. Otherwise, the atmosphere was nice. Sadly, we won't be going back.

The mushroom risotto was absolutely divine... I've never eaten a better risotto. The owner is very nice too!

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Landshut. The exterior wasn't great, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the interior. The staff was very friendly, which is rare these days. They even asked if our dog needed anything. The drinks and food arrived quickly after we ordered and were delicious. A big thank you to the whole team! The restrooms were very clean!

The Zollhaus is one of the few restaurants that's open all afternoon. We stopped in after an excursion; we were asked for a reservation as early as 5 pm and were given a seat at a bistro table. There were plenty of free tables. The food was good, but nothing special. The prices on the menus on Google are outdated. We're talking about €31.90 for a roast beef with onions, instead of just under €24. It's certainly cozy, and the service is friendly.

We spent a mystery dinner there. The dinner was truly delicious.

The repeated visits alone are a pretty positive sign, but the Kaiserschmarrn, I think it can hardly be better, and overall, a 4/5 would be really nit-picking these days. 5/5 is well deserved. --Update And Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef), a piece of beef with the right status in terms of rare or not rare. The first attempt failed, the second attempt was significantly better. Actually, more of a 1/5, but given the competition in the city, where they probably wouldn't have been able to get it right even with a third or fourth change, and in the end, a really very good dish, 4/5 is fine. --Update Went there again and tried a schnitzel, very good. Fried potatoes instead of potato salad were a bit of a surcharge, but it definitely makes the whole thing a bit better. It's a shame it wasn't such a good experience last time, but there's absolutely nothing to complain about. -- The goulash and side salad were really good, that would be a 5/5, the dumplings as well. Unfortunately, the goulash also included meat, which somewhat spoiled the enjoyment. The pieces were extremely small and the meat was very lean, which made it extremely dry. It was difficult to swallow at times. It was more like a piece of meat that was too good for the base, but unfortunately, it wasn't suitable for the dish.

Very delicious food! 🍴 I picked up some food from Brauhaus Zoll in Landshut and was delighted. Philipp was super friendly and attentive. Absolutely top-notch service – I'll definitely be back.

We were just passing through and, after 700km, ended up at the motorhome parking lot in Landshut. A spontaneous visit to the Zollhaus was truly worthwhile. Unfortunately, we can't give it more stars. Super friendly staff, a great atmosphere, and excellent cuisine.

We ate at the Zollhaus today. I was very disappointed. The salad had brown spots and wilted leaves. The pretzel soup was lukewarm, and the fried onions were only brought upon request. The beef capaccio was sliced ​​much too thick. The only thing was that the tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms was good.

Wonderful little beer garden with adjacent children's playground, well suited for families and for relaxing

The food was just okay; the tomatoes on the pasta were cold. They were probably prepared a long time in advance and then poured from the fridge. The food was clearly too expensive for the quality. The pasta was advertised as homemade, but unfortunately, it was too hard inside. The worst part was that we had to pay an extra €1 for a cardboard to-go cup (for the leftovers). Sorry, I'm not going to see the Zollhaus anymore, and I can't recommend it.

Beautiful beer garden, all the staff are friendly, and the food is highly recommended.

The service was unaccommodating and rude. We had a reservation for six people in the beer garden, but nothing was prepared. We had to move the tables and chairs together ourselves, but weren't allowed to arrange the tables so that we could all sit in the shade. And the beer garden was sparsely attended at the time.

I was 'only' here for an event in the adjoining room, but the excellently prepared and lovingly arranged snacks in the glass tasted delicious, and the atmosphere in the dining room was wonderful, the dishes looked fantastic, and the service was very warm and competent!

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich noch erlebe, dass die Halbe in Niederbayern über 5 Euro kostet. Aber nun, dass das Zollhaus hohe Preise hat, weiss man ja (z.B. Espresse 4,10 Euro), allerdings erwartet man auch dementsprechende Qualität. Und die gab es nicht. Leider. Das Filetsteak hatte einen Knorpel und mein Krustenbraten hatte den Makel das die Sauce süsslich nach Zimt geschmeckt hat. Auf meine Nachfrage wie das denn wohl kommen kann, verschwand der Kellner mit meinem vollen Teller (ich wollte den nicht mehr essen, den Zimtbraten - schmeckte nicht gut), der Kellner kam aber gar nicht erst wieder, obwohl er sich in der Küche erkundigen wollte was passiert ist. Schade, ein vermeinlich schöner Biergartenbesuch ist ziemlich enttäuschend gewesen.

Das Haus verspricht mehr als die Leistung der KücheDas Haus bietet . Z.B. Burger..statt wie gewünscht Medium voll durch- Preis Leistung stimmt nicht.

Phew, I can't really agree with the good reviews. The service was overwhelmed. I had to order multiple times. It seemed somewhat haphazard. Dad Esseb was more mid-range, but the prices were top-notch. I also honestly think an espresso for €4.10 is absolutely excessive. There are definitely better alternatives.

If you sit with your back to the "Rumpelecke" (rumble corner), the beer garden is very cozy. There's a playground for the little ones. Our service was very prompt and friendly, and the drinks and schnitzel arrived quickly and were delicious. We'd love to come back :-)

The five of us celebrated a big birthday in the customs house. It was a very nice evening. The food was super delicious, from the starter to the dessert. The portions were absolutely sufficient, with the starter almost too much. The service was very friendly and attentive. The prices are generally reasonable. A cozy inn with a very nice atmosphere. The only negative point was that our reservation was canceled for reasons that could not be explained. But we still got a nice table (thank God it wasn't that busy during the week). We'd love to come back...

For a slightly steeper price you get a super well thought-out dish here. The onion roast was convincing in its rustic but very well prepared way! The Kaiserschmarren also leaves nothing to be desired. If the prices are lower, please do it more often!

A visit to the Zollhaus inn is always worth it! The harmonious ambience, the beautiful beer garden, the excellent food and the attentive service make every stay a pleasure. I've been there many times and have never been disappointed - every time an overall successful experience.

The taste of the roast was excellent, but the price was a bit high.

A male fish that grilled my wallet faster than the flames grilled the fish. Taste? Okay, like the 25€ version at the Dult or the 35€ version at the Oktoberfest. For €67 you expect more than a fish and existential crises. And by the way, not a centimeter longer and not a gram heavier than the significantly cheaper version at the Oktoberfest (no joke, really!) It is now known beyond the city limits that the Zollhaus does not have the best price/performance ratio. A lawyer would classify the prices in this case as usury and/or immoral.

Ein Steckerlfisch, der meinen Geldbeutel schneller grillte als die Flammen den Fisch. Geschmack? Okay, wie die 25€-Variante auf der Dult oder der 35€ Variante auf der Wiesn. Für 67 € erwartet man mehr als einen Fisch und Existenzkrisen. Und übrigens keinen cm länger und kein Gramm schwerer als die deutlich günstigere Variante auf der Wiesn (kein Scherz, wirklich!) Dass das Zollhaus nicht das beste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hat ist inzwischen über die Stadtgrenzen bekannt. Die Preise in diesem Fall hier würde ein Jurist aber als Wucher und/oder Sittenwidrig einstufen.

We waited 1.5 hours for the food. The neighboring table, who came 1/2 hour later, got the same food before us. One person at our table had already finished eating before the others finally got their food. The Steckerlfisch was good, but the price was extremely high.

Am Karfreitag wollten wir uns Mittags Steckerfisch holen und sind dabei auf das Angebot des Zollhaus gestoßen. Ein Preis war nicht angegeben, aber ich dachte mir, es kann schon nicht sooo viel sein. Daher habe ich eine Makrele und zwei Lachsforellen bestellt und auch am Telefon hat mir die etwas unerfahren wirkende aber nette Dame nichts zum Preis gesagt. Mein Mann ist zum Abholen gefahren und dann kam die böse Überraschung. Die Makrele für 24€ war noch in Ordnung, aber für die Lachsforelle wurden glatte 67€ verlangt. Das ist weit mehr, als ich jemals für einen Steckerlfisch zum Abholen erwarten würde und einfach nur unverschämt. Wir wussten schon von anderen Erfahrungen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Zollhaus eher schlecht ist, aber das war nun definitiv das letzte Mal, dass ich dort irgendetwas konsumiere.

Was soll man sagen ? Es war eine Katastrophe. Das Bier war kalt ,das Essen auch. Eiskalter Kartoffelsalat mit kaltem Schnitzel ,sowie kalte Käsespätzle! Soviel Desinteresse am Gast ist schon unverschämt ! Selbst der Kaffee schmeckt am Bhf besser! Danke für nichts !

Wenn ich mich schon hinsetze und Bewertungen schreibe, dann, weil es mir wirklich gut gefallen hat, alles stimmte oder eher das Gegenteil der Fall ist. Wir waren mit ca. 20 Personen nach einem herrlichen Ausflug in Landshut und Umgebung angemeldet (!) zu Abendessen im Zollhaus. Habe mich sehr darauf gefreut. Als erstes wurde ich stutzig, als wir in einen großen, leeren Nebenraum "abgeschoben" wurden. Denn noch war nicht so richtig viel los im Gastaus. Dann bestellten meine Frau und ich lecker Kalbschnitzel, trotz reflexartiger Abwehrreaktion bei ausgewiesenen 32 Euro. Nun gut. Leider nein. Was auf dem Teller geliefert wurde, hatte die ovalen Ausmaße von ca. 13x16 cm., lauwarm, und die erwartete Blasenoptik war nicht (mehr?) zu erkennen. Der extra bestellte Kartoffelsalat mehr sehr mehlig. Da zumindest essbar und ich die gute Stimmung in unserer Gruppe nicht crashen wollte, sagte ich nichts. Mein Fehler. Schon auf der Heimfahrt wurde ich ärgerlich auf mich. Wieder einmal läßt man es sich unkommentiert gefallen, dass man mittelmäßige Arbeit serviert bekommt, aber kein Problem damit hat, beim Preis ordentlich zuzulangen. Nein, Preis und Leistung sind hier nicht deckungsgleich.

The food is really good. It was quite busy, but luckily I called and made a reservation about four hours before my visit. The service staff was very friendly and attentive, despite the stress of the large number of guests. The noise level was good enough to have a good conversation.

Cozy inn in a good location near the Grieserwiese car park. The typical local atmosphere, good beer and delicious food leave nothing to be desired. The courteous, friendly service ladies make the whole thing harmonious and you'll be happy to come back.

Wir hatten große Erwartungen, besonders weil uns der Burger ausdrücklich empfohlen wurde. Doch als er serviert wurde, war das Fleisch innen noch roh. Wir wiesen die Bedienung höflich darauf hin und baten darum, den Burger erneut anzubraten. Der Teller wurde mitgenommen und nach kurzer Zeit wiedergebracht – mit der Bestätigung, dass das Fleisch nachgegart wurde. Doch schon beim ersten Anschnitt war klar: Der Burger war immer noch komplett roh. Erneut machten wir darauf aufmerksam, doch anstatt das Problem wirklich zu lösen, wurde uns lediglich ein Dessert als Entschädigung angeboten – eine nette Geste, die wir jedoch ablehnten, da das eigentliche Problem damit nicht behoben wurde. Besonders enttäuschend war das Verhalten des Restaurantbetreibers. Obwohl er über die Situation informiert war, kam er nicht zu uns, um sich zu entschuldigen oder eine Lösung anzubieten. Stattdessen mussten wir den vollen Preis für ein Gericht zahlen, das ungenießbar war. Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Restaurantbesuch gefreut, doch leider war es eine große Enttäuschung. So ein Umgang mit Gästen ist für uns inakzeptabel – wir können dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

We were there for the Christmas party and a lot went wrong... several Christmas parties on the same evening and we weren't given the promised adjoining room. Instead, we were seated next to the regulars' table, which of course didn't make it easy to give speeches at first. The regulars' table was then very considerate and quiet in these moments. Thanks for that! Unfortunately the soup was really spicy, otherwise rather tasteless. The main course (burger with sweet potato fries) was okay, not the usual customs house quality. The desserts were always the same (vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries or with apple fritters), but some of the apple fritters were missing. At an announced Christmas party with over 30 people, only having 6 apple cakes is sad. I waited several times for more than 30 minutes to drink. Very sad! And to be able to order too.

The inn is very nice and clean inside. What's great is that it's an open kitchen. We had the Zollhaus Pfandl and Käsespätzle. I think the portion is a bit small for this price. The other inns usually serve pork loin and not pork schnitzel like here. The taste was OK, a bit salty but that's a matter of taste. But the meat was very tender.

Zum Kalbsschnitzel gab es keine Preiselbeeren. Kaiserschmarrn war im Gegensatz zu früher eine sehr kleine Portion. Preis-/Leistung passt leider nicht mehr.

I ate a salad with goat cheese. Unfortunately, more than half was just dressed cabbage and carrot salad. This made the whole salad quite sour. For almost €17 I would have expected better quality. Price/performance was not right here. Drink prices are higher than in nearby places.

It's nice that you can't even exchange the beer tokens you've paid for food in a restaurant like any sensible, non-cheating innkeeper would do... And saying "it's a different company" doesn't even count, perhaps in the eyes of the law. But it's a mess that you keep ripped off money from a second company and have a good time with another company with completely the same owner and address.

Yesterday I ordered a fillet steak for €75. Unfortunately the cook missed the doneness by a wide margin. Steak was ordered medium rare, but I received it raw. The core was still really cold. Inedible.

Small portion great price :-( It was different before! Tavern flair... Parking spaces dark :-( Unfortunately, our waitress didn't speak much German, so we decided to buy the nightcap somewhere else. It's a shame, the store wasn't that bad. 2 people €70 just for food and a drink each is not without, for a pub.

Good cuisine, unfortunately very, very long waiting times until a waiter even comes to take the order. 20 minutes to order drinks and 40 minutes to order food on the bus is simply not enough staff.
