A restaurant with a touch of Berlin ambience, just as the name suggests. You feel comfortable there, the food is good and is offered at moderate prices. The owner and his daughter are present there and are always available to guests in a good mood. If you like to eat well and cheaply, you shouldn't miss the Zille. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended. ... And another visit to the Zille. As always, it was delicious, the staff was very friendly and committed. A wonderful place to have a delicious meal alone or with the family. Price/performance is excellent, the food, from good home cooking (heaven and earth) to seasonal dishes (currently chanterelles), has everything so that young and old are satisfied. The staff were consistently friendly, accommodating, even willing to have a little joke, simply very competent. The icing on the cake is the covered outdoor terrace, which encourages you to linger on warm but also cold days. It is absolutely worth making the journey from the east of Bochum to the Zille, you will never be disappointed.

Restaurant is highly recommended! The food was very tasty, plentiful and freshly prepared. Even the children's menu is freshly prepared and not ready-made frozen goods. The service is very friendly and child-friendly. We will be back definitely.

Good home cooking from roulade to sauerbraten and schnitzel. Nice service staff who are attentive and quick. The ambience is based on an old Berlin pub, so the name Zille fits perfectly.

Great restaurant with a good selection of different dishes. Great service, waiting times for drinks and food were reasonable and not too long. The in-house chocolate schnapps is highly recommended.

We had reserved a table in advance. After we were assigned a table, we had to wait 15 minutes until we received a menu and another 10 minutes later for something to drink. We then had to wait another hour for the food. Since we wanted to go to an event at the cultural center, we asked how long the meal would last, referring to this event, and we were told that we weren't the only ones who wanted to go there. If you know what has to happen before an event I either point out that it may take a little longer or increase my staff. The food was still very tasty. We had to forego a second drink because no one was interested in us.

Went to the lecture at the cultural center in Herne yesterday. Before that we had a meal in the Zille. Great service. Very good food, we even got a seat without registering. Very well attended. Great, keep it up.

Schon nach 20 Minuten bekamen wir die Karten und konnten Getränke bestellen. Auf der Speisekarte waren keine Allergene gekennzeichnet. Auch auf Nachfrage konnte uns die Bedienung nicht sagen, ob das Jägerschnitzel laktosefrei ist. Für den Fall, dass es Laktose enthält, bestellten wir ein Ausweichgericht. Nach weiteren 45 Minuten fragten wir nach, ob wir vergessen wurden. Kurz darauf bekamen wir das Essen. Der Salat zu dem laktosefreien Gericht war mit Joghurt Dressing angerichtet.

A really cozy restaurant with German cuisine. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Special requests were also implemented. The Zille at the Herne Cultural Center is definitely worth recommending.

Was here for the first time with my neighbor. She gave me the tip. Actually, my husband and I didn't pay attention to the Zille before. Now with the neighbor, I was pleasantly surprised. Cozy there. Service good. Got a table straight away. And a delicious freshly tapped beer, a Bittburger, simply delicious. Then the food. I had a Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad. There were two schnitzels made from pork loin, very tender and tasty with the mushroom sauce and the fries first. Kind of crispy, not hard, just crunchy, just very, very tasty. The salad that was served separately was also well prepared and tasty. I don't think it could be any better. Will go there again. There are also smaller dishes and a variety of other dishes. But mine was very, very tasty. I can only recommend.

The food is great, the prices are moderate. Friendly staff and a nice ambience round off the visit. There was sheep's cheese schnitzel with salad and ox cheeks with boiled potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

Zille in the Herne Cultural Center, we often go out for a bite to eat. The spicy schnitzel is my personal favorite but all the other dishes are also tasty and of sufficient size. Now we celebrated our wedding here and had a great buffet. All dishes are served in the most appetizing way and generously sized. As always, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Zille - always a recommendation!

Went there for dinner for the first time...and will definitely come back!!! A bit rustic atmosphere but the service was very nice and attentive and the food was simply great...

For the third time I had the pre-cooked Christmas goose with dumplings and red cabbage - as with the other orders, it was a great experience. After just under 40 minutes, all the ingredients were warmed up and we were able to enjoy the delicious goose.

We ordered a goose with side dishes for Christmas Day. This was easy to heat up the following day (quick instructions were included), was very juicy and rich and everyone enjoyed it with the filling and side dishes.

Price-performance ratio very good.

We ordered a “goose-to-go” from Zille for the first time on Christmas Day and we were pleasantly surprised by the good quality of the food: the goose with dumplings and red cabbage were super tasty. Ich war am Samstag mit meiner Familie zum wiederholten Male in der Zille essen. Wie gewohnt war das Essen klasse. Obwohl das Restaurant voll war, wurden wir sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Wir kommen nach wie vor, immer wieder gern hier hin. Top👍🏼

Nachdem ich frühzeitig einen Tisch bestellt hatte (2.11.23) wurde ich enttäuscht, da mir gesagt wurde es wäre keiner bestellt worden. Hatte für 5 Personen (ein Personen saß im Rollstuhl) bestellt und konnte es sogar beweisen. Anfangs mussten wir draußen in der Kälte sitzen und die Vorspeise dort essen. Auf die Vorspeise mussten wir mehr als eine Stunde warten. Die Getränke dauerten auch ewig. Nach unserem Wohlbefinden wurde draußen auch nicht gefragt. Nachdem wir uns beschwert hatten und knapp 2 Stunden saßen durften wir auch rein (aber nur weil ein Tisch frei wurde). Das Essen wahr okay. Vorspeise und Hauptspeise waren sehr lecker. Die Waffel fand ich sehr trocken. Die Kellner wahren so lala. Eine Kellnerin wahr Nach der Beschwerde schlecht gelaunt. Der Kellner wahr sehr bemüht. Den Spruch von der Kellnerin fand ich persönlich: der hätte nicht sein müssen. Sie sagte angepisst: ,,ich habe mich entschieden " beim bezahlen.

Weil wir vor ein paar Jahren schon mal dort essen waren mit der Familie, wollten wir dieses Jahr wieder hin. Haben deswegen 6 Wochen vorher (2.11.23) eine Tisch telefonisch bestellt mit Rollstuhlfahrer. Nach nochmaliger telefonischer Bestätigung, war der Tisch heute aber angeblich nicht bestellt. Daraufhin wurden wir im Wintergarten geparkt. Mussten auf die Bestellung über eine Stunde warten und die Getränke mussten wir selber drinnen bestellen. Später kam die junge Kellner angepisst nach draußen. Dort habe ich meinen Unmut geäußert und dann kam nur die Aussage, der Laden ist voll, wenn man nicht bestellt muss man warten. Und nach der Aussage habe ich sie gefragt ob man sie bewerten kann, dann wurde es bestätigt mit Ja und der Aussage wer liest denn heute noch Google Bewertungen.

Ein nettes Lokal, mit netten Personal

Das Rinderfilet „à la Hoffmann“ war perfekt, der Service im zünftig gemütlichen Ambiente wie immer sehr freundlich, heiter und aufmerksam!

Schöne Brasserie, leckeres Bier & Essen. Durch die lange, zentrale Theke bekommt die Gaststätte richtig Atmosphäre! Hab mich wohl gefühlt, auch wenn der Aufenthalt kurz war. Gerne wieder! 🤩

Leckeres Essen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre zu vernünftigen Preisen. Hier gibt es auch noch Gerichte nach „Mutters Art“. Manche Speisen könnten etwas wärmer sein, aber geschmacklich top!

Der Knobischnaps ist so ekelhaft, dass er schon wieder geil ist.

Zum ersten Mal hier gewesen, meine Frau und ich hatten extra verschiedenes Essen bestellt um das Lokal tu testen . 1. Service war zuvorkommend und die Sonderbestellung beim Getränk meiner Frau hundertprozentig umgesetzt . 2. Das Essen von uns beiden was sehrgut, besonders mein Steak war qualitativ spitze . 3. Schöne Atmosphäre, Gut bürgerliche deutsche Küche und auch was über dem Tellerrand hinaus, also auf der Speisekarte ist für jeden was dabei. Was soll man sagen: preiswert, reichlich und gut.

Ich war zum ersten Mal im Zille und ich kann nur mitteilen, dass ich sehr angenehm überrascht war. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Speisekarte war sehr umfangreich. Das von mir bestellte Gericht: Kalbsleber Berliner Art, war hervorragend. Ich habe dieses Gericht noch nie so lecker gegessen. Es war alles sehr gut zubereitet. Während im Lockdown alles geschlossen hatte, haben wir mehrfach im Zille bestellt und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Nach der Wiedereröffnung waren wir nun mehrfach hier zu Gast und haben schon einige Speisen genossen. Alles ist frisch zubereitet und lecker. Das Personal ist immer nett und herzlich. Wir haben UNSER Restaurant in Herne gefunden und kommen gerne immer wieder :-)

Ich habe mir in der Weihnachts,- und Neujahrszeit insg. 3x bei Zille etwas zu speisen bestellt.Es war sehr schmackhaft, funktionell verpackt und die Menschen waren sehr freundlich. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste mal.
