Das Essen war fantastisch, wirklich sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, da ich gerne noch viele weitere Gerichte von der Speisekarte probieren möchte.

Wir waren zu vier im Zille an einem Freitag Abend. Das Essen war erste Sahne. ZILLE Grillteller 3 mal und einmal Rouladen. Wir hatten einen netten Abend und können Zille empfehlen. Wir würden auch nochmal wieder kommen. Andi

Wir waren mit unserer Mädelsgruppe bereits das zweite Mal dort essen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Ambiente hat uns auch gut gefallen. Das Servicepersonal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Kommen bestimmt wieder.

Waren zum 50. Geburstag eingeladen, es wurde ein Buffet erstellt. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker. Alle Angestellten waren sehr aufmerksam es waren an die 40 Grad den Tag. Der Getränke Nachschub klappte bestens. Die Zille kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Heute den Geburtstag meiner mama dort gefeiert und ich kann sagen alles in allem echt gut! Essen war sehr lecker (manches war nicht so kräftig gewürzt aber jedem das seine...) , Service war top. Haben alle Wünsche erfüllt und die kleinste war mit der Spieleschublade die zur Verfügung stand super zufrieden. Alle sehr freundlich.

Wir waren auf Holgers Geburtstag dabei und ca 3 Monate vorher auch schon dort zum Essen. Was soll ich schreiben außer das es beide Male Großartig war. Das Essen, so wie die Leute waren super 🤩

Unser Besuch im Zille Restaurant war eine große Enttäuschung. Wir waren im Rahmen einer Gesellschaft dort und haben uns zu keinem Zeitpunkt willkommen gefühlt. Besonders negativ fiel eine ältere Kellnerin mit langen Haaren auf. Ihr Verhalten war unverschämt und völlig unangebracht. Kein Augenkontakt, ein abweisender Ton und auf Nachfragen wurde teilweise einfach weitergegangen, als wäre man als Gast fehl am Platz. Genau dieses Gefühl wurde uns auch vermittelt. So ein Verhalten hat im Service nichts zu suchen. Auch das Essen war sehr enttäuschend. Ein Steak wurde roh serviert, die Gerichte kamen nicht gleichzeitig und auf höfliche Nachfragen reagierte das Personal nur kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Kommunikation und Aufmerksamkeit waren praktisch nicht vorhanden. Der Fisch wurde mit einer Soße serviert, die bereits deutlich abgesetzt war und einen Rand gebildet hatte. Es wirkte abgestanden und alles andere als frisch. Das war kaum genießbar. Dazu kamen Champignons zum Steak, die offensichtlich aus der Dose stammten und geschmacklich überhaupt nicht überzeugt haben. So eine Qualität ist heutzutage schlichtweg in einem Restaurant inakzeptabel. Auch organisatorisch lief einiges schief. Eine Suppe wurde komplett vergessen. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin behauptete die Kellnerin, alle Suppen seien bereits serviert worden, obwohjl eine Person am Tisch leer ausging. Eine solche Reaktion ist absolut unverständlich und wirkt respektlos gegenüber den Gästen. Der Getränkeservice war kaum vorhanden. Bestellungen waren schwierig und jede Nachfrage schien das Personal zu stören. Die vielen positiven Bewertungen können wir beim besten Willen nicht nachvollziehen. Weder die Qualität noch das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmen hier. Für das Gebotene sind die Preise in keiner Weise gerechtfertigt. Ich weiß nicht, wer dort die Verantwortung trägt, aber ich hoffe, dass diese Bewertung gelesen wird und Konsequenzen gezogen werden. Für uns steht fest, dass wir dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen werden. Eine Empfehlung können wir definitiv nicht aussprechen.!!!!!!!!!

Wir waren vor einigen Wochen mit unserem Verein im Restaurant Zille in Herne zu Gast und hatten einen richtig schönen Abend. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und aufmerksam, man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen hat uns ebenfalls überzeugt – lecker und gut portioniert, ohne viel Schnickschnack. Wir waren am 26.12.2026 dort mit 7 Leuten essen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Auf Getränke mussten wir mal warten. Aber einfach die Arme heben und Hallo rufen😁, dann klappte es!

Wir waren mit 6 Personen in der Zille und wir waren alle so begeistert, dass wir direkt wieder reserviert haben, da wir noch andere Gerichte von der vielfältigen Karte probieren möchten. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich gestaltet. Der Service war super und sehr freundlich. Getränke kamen jeweils zügig. Das Essen kam in angemessener Zeit. Keine lange Wartezeit, aber auch nicht schnell abgefertigt. Vor allem war es sehr lecker. Wir waren alle von unseren jeweiligen Speisen begeistert. Leider hat nicht jeder sein Essen fotografiert. 😊 Deshalb nicht so viele Fotos. Herzlichen Dank für den schönen Abend bei Euch. ❤️ Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder.

Wir waren am Samstag wieder einmal bei Zille. Das Essen war einfach nur Spitze! Mein Rückenhüftsteak war auf dem Punkt richtig gegart. Die Beilage war gut und zum Gericht passend. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und angenehm. Wir haben auch direkt wieder einen Tisch reserviert.

Wie immer alles sehr gut und super lecker. Wir waren mit Freunden in der Zille essen. Die Qualität der Speisen war ausgezeichnet und die Preise angemessen. Das Restaurant Zille in Herne überzeugt mit einer angenehmen, gemütlichen Atmosphäre und einem sehr freundlichen Service. Die Zwiebelsuppe war kalt.Das Kartoffelpüree war kalt der Tafelspitz zäh und kaum genießbar,die anderen speisen meiner Mitesser waren gleichzeitig lauwarm Absolut enttäuschend und nicht empfehlenswert

We ate at Zille yesterday; it was very loud. The schnitzel was a pre-made product, and the mushrooms were canned and only lukewarm. On top of that, we waited 1.5 hours for our food. Never again! We ate there again today. We had beef roulades, red cabbage, and potatoes. I have to say, the food was really good. And hot!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing, everything freshly prepared and of high quality. The service was incredibly friendly. Even though the restaurant was quite full, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food.

We went to Zille's in the evening. It was very loud in the restaurant. There was only a limited menu because a family celebration was taking place. My desired dish (oxtail) wasn't on it, but I was served it anyway. However, there was a little water on the plate from the potatoes. Otherwise, the food was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Zille Herne is a super cozy spot with a great atmosphere—perfect for ending the day with a delicious beer. The staff and owners are very warm and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. A place where you feel at home—highly recommended!

Catering for a garden party – absolutely top-notch from A to Z. Value for money, service, selection, delivery and pick-up service – absolutely full marks for the Zille team. It couldn't be better!

We were there yesterday for a celebration with around 20 people and would not recommend it. The ambience: quite old, worn out and dirty (air vents, ceiling, etc.). The service: welcome to the service desert, sporadic service... .The food: the kitchen had another bad day. The salad looked very unpleasant, some of the food was cold and didn't match the pictures or come close. As everyone has different tastes, I can only report on it for ourselves. The beans were probably fried raw in rancid-tasting fat, and the bacon was only found as a finishing touch. The sauce was supposed to be pepper sauce, but it was a standard sauce with a few peppercorns thrown in. The taste was a solid 6. The fillet was completely bloody and had no taste at all. The only bright spot was the appearance. It was beautifully presented, but that was it. Other guests confirmed that the food was very mediocre.

Nice atmosphere, good service, but the kitchen wasn't having the best day when we visited. Baked potato with chicken and salad: Here the chicken was so hard and chewy that you couldn't chew it. Unfortunately the salad was hardly edible (too much dressing and soggy) Unfortunately, asparagus with scrambled eggs was a big disappointment because it looked like leftover pieces and wasn't whole, juicy, thick sticks, see photo. The burger was okay, a bit spicy in my opinion, but that's a matter of taste and "spicy" was also on the menu. 2 out of 3 food was unfortunately bad, which surprised us. The service person gratefully accepted the criticism without offering us new asparagus or chicken.

Allow plenty of time before events! The food was delicious on our first visit, but the waiting time was a bit long. We didn't get to eat at all on our second visit yesterday because we had to leave after waiting 1 1/4 hours for food in order to be in time for the event next door, and we weren't the only ones. The staff were very friendly and tried hard, but it would have been very helpful for everyone to have been informed upon arrival that time could be very tight. It is certainly not uncommon for someone to want to go into the adjoining hall after eating.

The food was very tasty. Friendly attentive service. The rooms for events are very modern. I really enjoyed the event in the room. Zille can be reached barrier-free. There are enough parking spaces available. Easy to reach by public transport. I would be happy to stop at Zille. There is a very nice winter garden for dining.

Wir waren heute über einen längeren Zeitraum zum dritten Mal hier essen. Leider hatte ich die beiden ersten Male in nicht so guter Erinnerung. Was uns allerdings heute hier geboten wurde, möchte ich schon als eine Frechheit bezeichnen. Wir haben beide ein Jägerschnitzel von der Pute aus der Mittagskarte bestellt. Das Ergebnis war sehr ernüchternd: Die Champignons waren mit Sicherheit schon einige Tage alt, der mittlere Bereich durchgehend fast schwarz eingefärbt, die Sauce absolut geschmacklos. Dazu gab es das besagte Putenschnitzel, welches nicht vernünftig gebraten war und schon teilweise irgendwie merkwürdig schmeckte, Pommes Frites, die noch so gerade durchgingen, allerdings war die Mayonnaise gut, die kam ja auch aus der Tüte. Beim Bezahlen äußerte meine Frau, dass die Pilze ja wohl nicht die frischesten waren, das wurde von der Bedienung wehem End abgestritten, so nach dem Motto „die waren doch frisch“. Für uns war es definitiv das letzte Mal, dass wir dieses Lokal aufgesucht haben. Ich weiß nicht, wer da am Herd steht, aber vom Kochen scheint derjenige keine Ahnung zu haben. Die Kellnerin war nett und freundlich, aber das entschädigt nicht das grottenschlechte Essen.

When I was young, this was a normal bar where the younger people of the city gradually met. Now I have returned to my hometown after about 40 years and found home-style dishes on the menu. My wife and I had dinner here on a convenient day and were extremely satisfied. Nice, cozy atmosphere, a mixed crowd with apparently many regular guests, friendly service and, on top of that, very tasty, classic, down-to-earth food in the tradition of the Ruhr area, which means that this will certainly not be the last time we come here. The food was very tasty and the "Jägerschnitzel" already mentioned in another review was actually a special experience because it actually tasted "like it used to" - and in the best sense of the word. What was striking was the very well put together side salad with a remarkably tasty dressing in which the very fresh salad didn't "drown". I found the price level to be extremely fair and more than appropriate. Public transport within walking distance as well as parking options next to and under the cultural center/savings bank as well as barrier-free access also make a visit pleasant.

Das Rinderhüftsteak „Constantin“ mit Champignons, Schmorzwiebeln, Bratkartoffeln und Salatbeilage war erneut ausgezeichnet und in der Qualität für knapp über 30 Euro moderat im Preis. Der Service am Sonntagabend ebenfalls sehr freundlich und flott. Immer wieder gerne zum Essen und Trinken in dieses gemütliche Traditionslokal!

A wonderful place to have a delicious meal alone or with the family. Price/performance is excellent, the food, from good home cooking (heaven and earth) to seasonal dishes (currently chanterelles), has everything so that young and old are satisfied. The staff were consistently friendly, accommodating, even willing to have a little joke, simply very competent. The icing on the cake is the covered outdoor terrace, which encourages you to linger on warm but also cold days. It is absolutely worth making the journey from the east of Bochum to the Zille, you will never be disappointed.

Good home cooking from roulade to sauerbraten and schnitzel. Nice service staff who are attentive and quick. The ambience is based on an old Berlin pub, so the name Zille fits perfectly.

Great restaurant with a good selection of different dishes. Great service, waiting times for drinks and food were reasonable and not too long. The in-house chocolate schnapps is highly recommended.

We had reserved a table in advance. After we were assigned a table, we had to wait 15 minutes until we received a menu and another 10 minutes later for something to drink. We then had to wait another hour for the food. Since we wanted to go to an event at the cultural center, we asked how long the meal would last, referring to this event, and we were told that we weren't the only ones who wanted to go there. If you know what has to happen before an event I either point out that it may take a little longer or increase my staff. The food was still very tasty. We had to forego a second drink because no one was interested in us.

Schon nach 20 Minuten bekamen wir die Karten und konnten Getränke bestellen. Auf der Speisekarte waren keine Allergene gekennzeichnet. Auch auf Nachfrage konnte uns die Bedienung nicht sagen, ob das Jägerschnitzel laktosefrei ist. Für den Fall, dass es Laktose enthält, bestellten wir ein Ausweichgericht. Nach weiteren 45 Minuten fragten wir nach, ob wir vergessen wurden. Kurz darauf bekamen wir das Essen. Der Salat zu dem laktosefreien Gericht war mit Joghurt Dressing angerichtet.

A really cozy restaurant with German cuisine. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Special requests were also implemented. The Zille at the Herne Cultural Center is definitely worth recommending.

Was here for the first time with my neighbor. She gave me the tip. Actually, my husband and I didn't pay attention to the Zille before. Now with the neighbor, I was pleasantly surprised. Cozy there. Service good. Got a table straight away. And a delicious freshly tapped beer, a Bittburger, simply delicious. Then the food. I had a Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad. There were two schnitzels made from pork loin, very tender and tasty with the mushroom sauce and the fries first. Kind of crispy, not hard, just crunchy, just very, very tasty. The salad that was served separately was also well prepared and tasty. I don't think it could be any better. Will go there again. There are also smaller dishes and a variety of other dishes. But mine was very, very tasty. I can only recommend.

The food is great, the prices are moderate. Friendly staff and a nice ambience round off the visit. There was sheep's cheese schnitzel with salad and ox cheeks with boiled potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

Zille in the Herne Cultural Center, we often go out for a bite to eat. The spicy schnitzel is my personal favorite but all the other dishes are also tasty and of sufficient size. Now we celebrated our wedding here and had a great buffet. All dishes are served in the most appetizing way and generously sized. As always, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The Zille - always a recommendation!

For the third time I had the pre-cooked Christmas goose with dumplings and red cabbage - as with the other orders, it was a great experience. After just under 40 minutes, all the ingredients were warmed up and we were able to enjoy the delicious goose.

We ordered a goose with side dishes for Christmas Day. This was easy to heat up the following day (quick instructions were included), was very juicy and rich and everyone enjoyed it with the filling and side dishes.
