To be honest, since the Nikolaus Grill opened, I've rarely eaten there. But every time I was there I was very satisfied. The food has always been solid, and after all these years you can say the quality has remained consistent. It's not for nothing that the snack has lasted so long. Even after the recent change of ownership, you don't notice any negative impact on the quality or selection of the food. The concept has remained unchanged. To me it's more than just a diner because the ambiance and size make it feel like a typical diner. By the way, the Nikolaus Grill has been around for over 30 years. I can highly recommend this snack bar - everything is just right here: service, value for money, food and quality, exactly as you are used to here.

Traditional restaurant in the heart of Wanne Eickel with 50 years of history. The food and portions are really excellent. People like to come here. Very friendly service team.

The food is very tasty and the quality is there, the price for a dish is also super fair and the portions are more than enough. You can eat very comfortably there on site, or order something to be delivered. Delivery times are always adhered to and the food arrives fresh and warm.

I ordered a lasagna and got it with tagliatelle instead of lasagne leaves and the minced sauce tasted terrible

In the evening we had a delicious meal in the familiar Nikolaus Grill. With a new owner, a breath of fresh air blew through the restaurant. We ordered a grill platter for several people, with fries, salad and rice on the side. The grill plate was very varied; Delicious is an understatement. The tzatziki was fantastic in combination with the rice and gyros. The atmosphere was great with the Netherlands - Romania game in the background. Really a recommended place to eat.

Came here as a teenager. Son of the former founders is the boss. Quality is top as it was 50 years ago. Boss takes time for his guests.

The atmosphere at the Nikolaus Grill Imbiss definitely fits. I found it really tastefully decorated for a snack bar. The back part of the snack bar even has a small bar. From there the very friendly waiter serves, for example, freshly tapped beer, which surprised me positively. However, I would absolutely no longer choose the “grilled plate” dish I chose or would advise anyone against it. The two cevapcici were really a joke. The "hunter's sauce" sauce I chose couldn't be beaten in terms of tastelessness and the slice of suckling pig was almost inedible. Far too fatty, even though I'm aware that it's actually fatty. The salad was mediocre at best. My colleague's currywurst fries were okay, but not a revelation, according to him. It could be that I simply chose the wrong dish, but if the quality of the remaining dishes is even remotely similar to the "grill plate", then I really can't recommend the restaurant.

The quality of the food has deteriorated over the years, and in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right. The staff are friendly and the ambience is quite nice for a chip shop.

I was amazed, but Nikoleis Grill has been family-owned for over 50 years. Everyone greeted us lovingly. Very nice staff, very fast and nice service. Salad super tasty, dishes super tasty, meat tender as butter, espresso delicious afterwards. Everything prepared fresh and quickly. Highly recommended.

The second Nikolaus Grill in the city. This is located in Wanne Nord and is significantly larger. There are enough seats to eat on site. The menu offers what you would expect from a classic chip shop.

We just spontaneously ate at Niko's today. And I have to say, the taxi plate with extra tzatziki + onions + mayo was outstanding!! Extremely very good portion. You'll be full up to your arms. 😌😆 All in all you will be welcomed and served very friendly! I give a very good recommendation here.

There were no fries with the dishes. The Wiener Schnitzel had maybe 3 small pieces of salad with no sauce. The sauce in 2 schnitzel dishes, the sauce was only lukewarm A snack bar or restaurant would have had fries for the price

I'm currently in St. Anna and just picked up a gyro plate. The gyro is absolutely tasty. The fries are also great. I haven't had such a good gyro in a long time. I'm from Essen but will probably come by again

The food itself was very tasty. The conditions are super friendly! However, we were a bit surprised at the price. Drinks were normally priced, food was a little cheaper. However, we paid €4 for mayonnaise, ketchup and tzatziki and €6 for a mini portion of spaetzle. And you can't pay by card.

The boss is totally unfriendly and the portions were really small. The ouzo from the house was also missing. Our conclusion: Never again Nikolaus Grill!

Nice snack bar with good seating However, the curry sauce for the currywurst is disappointing. Tastes like warmed ketchup. Fries are good and not too light.

Beef liver cold, tough and mushy sauce on top. Very expensive. And 0.3 liter cola costs €3.30. Not recommendable.

The food is always good but the waiting time for orders is outrageously long. Portions are small and always arrive cold.

It used to be 4 points for me, the food has deteriorated and the manager of the house didn't react in a friendly way when asked. He also waited a long time for service. Guests who came later were served sooner

It's always an experience to be able to eat with my friend. No one can take away from you the feeling of being at home because you ate fries there for 60 pfennigs when you were just a snotty person. Every Wanner should keep this in mind... Good luck!!!

The best restaurant so far in North Rhine-Westphalia, I was absolutely positively surprised by the quality of the food and the great service. Everything fit like a glove. This 120km journey was 100% worth it, it was definitely not the last time in Wanne for me. Mega restaurant, mega experience, mega staff, young, sporty and totally precautionary. Huge praise. Ein Traum es ist super lecker , Es ist wie vor Jahren. Geschmack immer ein feuerwerk. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen, 15 von 10 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟

Haben gestern auf einem Feiertag dort bestellt. Lieferzeit ca. 1 Stunde! Nach 1 1/2 Stunden Wartezeit einfach mal angerufen und man sagte das Essen sei auf dem Weg. Nach geschlagenen 2 Stunden und 15 Minuten kam unser Essen dann endlich an. Leider waren die Pommes wabbelig und die Würste komplett hell ,aufgrund der wahrscheinlich kurzen Bratzeit. Auch die Saucen waren mehr als dünn und hatten wenig Dampf. Nachwürzen musste 100%ig sein. Wir waren diesmal sehr enttäuscht und werden wohl beim nächsten mal auf eine andere frittenschmiede zurückgreifen.

Ein einfaches, aber gemütliches Traditions-Restaurant, super leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal. Seit meiner Kindheit liebe ich den Nikolaus-Grill.

Seit meiner Kindheit der Ort für die beste Currywurst mit Pommes!

Wir waren nach 15 Jahren mal wieder hier essen. Mit dem Nikolausgrill verbinde ich ein Gefühl des Luxus, als wir in den 1970er Jahren hier Essen geholt haben. Schon damals schmeckte es uns einfach gut. Nun, so viele Jahre später kann ich nur feststellen, die Qualität ist noch genauso gut wie damals. Die Preise sind vollkommen in Ordnung. Im Vergleich zu einem Restaurant am Kulturzentrum, dass wir eine Woche zuvor besucht hatten, schneidet der Nikolausgrill wesentlich besser ab. Wir wurden zuvorkommend bedient und fühlten uns sehr wohl dort. Wir werden dieses Mal nicht wieder 15 Jahren vergehen lassen, um wieder dort zu Speisen.

Sehr schöner Imbiss. Tolles Ambiente und sehr sauber. Ansprechende Speisekarte für jeden Gaumen geeignet. Nettes Personal. Nur beim bezahlen an der Kasse war es nicht so angenehm. Ich hatte leider nur einen 200€ Schein. Nach kurzer Diskussion hat man mir ungerne das Wechselgeld ausgehändigt (150€).

Zufällig ausgewählt und Positiv überrascht. Freundlich, sauber, essen gut. Wirklich was zu meckern kann man dort nicht finden, es sei denn man will was finden. Service sehr freundlich- auch zu Kindern sehr Freundlich. lediglich die Preis sind relativ hoch. Aber akzeptabel.

Alles sehr lecker. Habe Bifteki gegessen, war super. Sehr zu empfehlen. Auch die Bedienung war sehr nett. Da werden wir zu Wiederholungstäter.

Freundliches sehr aufmerksames Team und ein Toller Service. :-) Das haben wir so lange nicht erlebt. Die Qualität des Essens und das Ambiente hebt sich deutlich von den Billig-Läden, die auf dieser Straße an jeder Ecke zu finden sind, ab. Die Preise sind angesichts der Qualität des Essens sehr moderat. Und auch die Sauberkeit ist vorbildlich. Besser gehts kaum. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. ☺️👌🏻

Zum zweiten mal bei Nikolaus bestellt.. Heute sowie auch das letzte mal wieder kein Zaziki auf dem Gyros. So kann man auch sein Geld verdienen... No-Go bei den Preisen

Alles gut hier und lecker gegessen.

Früher war Niko mal das Maß der Dinge - zumindest beim Gyros. Er hat nachgelassen und die Qualität schwankt massiv! Zwischen angekohlt, trocken und schwimmt in Fett ist leider alles dabei. Wundertüte - man weiß nicht was man bekommt. Bei dem Preis leider nicht akzeptabel.

Das erste mal 1989 hier gegessen , letze Mal vor 3 Tage . Immer wieder gern 👍

Ich war immer gerne beim NG. Doch zur Zeit schmeckt es mir dort nicht mehr so gut. Zuletzt hatte ich sogar ein Stückchen Plastik in meiner Pizza. Kann passieren, ja! Gab für mich jedoch vorerst den Anlass, ein wenig Abstand zu nehmen. Ich hoffe, es wird wieder so gut wie früher.

Super leckeres Essen. Personal einfach klasse, freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer gut drauf.

Von dort kaufe ich immer Pommes mit Jägersoße und Zaziki und es schmeckt sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und lustig.
