Essen geschmacklich ok, aber viel zu wenig für die Preise. Service total unterbesetzt, das essen für die Kinder wurde vergessen. Verbesserungswürdig!

Der Burger und auch der Schwedensalat waren super lecker. Es gibt eine riesen Auswahl an Getränken. Nur könnte die Bedienung etwas öfter vorbeikommen, dann hätten wir noch mehr getrunken

Der Ort ist schon aber sobald schönes Essen ist sind die Kellner ubervordert wenn größere Gruppen kommen... Essen OK aber nichts besonderes...

Essen prima, am Service muss gearbeitet werden. Es waren nicht viel Gäste da, nach der Erstbestellung fühlten wir uns ignoriert.Es fehlt der Rundumblick ,wenn Getränke leer oder für Bezahlung.

Küche hatte heute spontan einfach 1h früher gegen 19:30 zu gemacht. Echte Enttäuschung, es gab nur noch zu trinken. Schade

Das Essen ist gut. Leider gibt es weniger Gerichte als noch vor 1, 2 Jahren. So gibt es z. B. keinen Kaiserschmarrn oder Marillenknödel mehr. Der Service ist etwas unkoordiniert da einige Servicekräfte nur für Essen und wiederum andere für die Getränke zuständig sind und die Kommunikation untereinander teilweise nicht richtig funktioniert. Die Lage unter den Kastanienbäumen am Rande der Stadt bzw. Fasanerie ist top.

Vorab: Bei dieser Rezension geht es um die Feierlocation beim Zeughaus, die Steinhalle. Wir suchten für unsere Hochzeit eine Location für ca. 75 Personen. Dafür haben wir uns ein paar Räumlichkeiten angebaut. Aber beim ersten Schritt ins Zeughaus sagte meine Braut: Das will ich haben, das ist so schön! Sie hat mir ihrer Einschätzung absolut Recht behalten. Das Ambiente der Halle, eine Kombination aus Stein und Holz hat uns und unseren Gästen sehr gut gefallen. Dazu kam eine Planung/Aufstellung vom Chef persönlich, die zuerst eine sehr stilvolle Trauung möglich machte. Danach wurden durch das Servicepersonal Tische und Stühle rasch und dezent umgestellt, um für das Essen und die anschließende Party gerüstet zu sein. Vor der Halle gibt es zusätzliche Tische und Sitzgelegenheiten, im frische Luft schnappen zu können. Etwas abgesetzt auf dem Gelände findet sich auch ein Kinderspielplatz. Selbst empfindlichere Gäste, waren hierdurch nicht gestört. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde von allen Gästen gelobt. Auch für Vegetarier gab es viele gute Sachen. Besonders herausragend war der Service: Die Mädels und Jungs waren trotz hoher Temperaturen super fix, haben immer geschaut, dass jeder mit Trinken versorgt ist und haben dazu noch schnell abgeräumt, ohne dabei aufdringlich oder störend zu sein. Jeder Wunsch wurde umgehend erfüllt! Absolute Profis! Zugegebenermaßen nicht ganz günstig, den Preis aber absolut Wert! Für uns war es absolut stressfrei. Auf- und Abbau nur der eigenen Deko, der Rest wurde vom Team erledigt. PS: Bonuspunkte für eine kostenfreie Fotobox. Dieser war qualitativ sehr gut und ist bei allen Gästen top angekommen. Hätte ich vorher nicht gedacht.

Der Biergarten hat einen tollen Spielplatz! Leider haben die Service- und Essensqualität über die Zeit nachgelassen. Der schlechte Service liegt aber wohl vor allem daran, dass zu wenig Servicekräfte da sind. Diese wirken oft genervt und erschöpft, weil sie versuchen, alle Gäste zufriedenzustellen. Schade für die eigentlich sehr schöne Location.

Klasse war es. Ich war mit einem Kollegen, auf dem Rückweg von einer Weiterbildung, dort für eine Mittagspause unter der Woche. Im schönen Ambiente, eines klassischen Biergarten unter Kastanien, Saßen wir entspannt und aßen unser Essen. Ich hatte Schnitze ,,Wiener Art" mit Kartoffelsalat, die Portionen waren ausreichend aber nicht üppig, geschmacklich war es top. Preis Leistung war gut.

Super Location! Hervorragendes selbstgebrautes Bier, fantastische Qualität des Essens. Unfassbar guter Service - wir waren am 1.Mai bei schönstem Wetter dort - natürlich war der Laden pumpvoll. Dennoch absolut freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Jederzeit wieder gerne!!!!

Ein sehr schöner Biergarten mit Bedienung. Getränke zum Teil überteuert. 0,20 Wein ab 7 Euro

Essen und Location gut, aber der Service-Mitarbeiter war nicht nur unfreundlich sondern auch sehr frech. Er hat uns „nachgeäfft“. Wir haben so etwas noch nie erlebt. Es ist unfassbar wie man so eine Person auf andere Menschen „loslassen“ kann. Schade ☹️

Das Ambiente und das Essen waren gut, aber der Service war furchtbar. Wir bekamen nicht, was wir bestellt hatten, und der Kellner war sehr unfreundlich. Viele andere Gäste beschwerten sich ebenfalls. Wir werden nie wieder hierherkommen.

Recycelte Pommes, einfach widerlich! Auf meinem Teller bekam ich Pommes mit Ketchup-Supern. Leider habe ich es bemerkt, als ich davon aß. Auf meinem Hinweis, wurde mir mitgeteilt, es würde sich um Preiselbeeren handeln, die „beim hantierten mit dem Schnitzel dorthin gelandet“ wären. Ich hatte aber Rindswurst mit Pommes… nun ja… man würde das von der Rechnung abziehen… da kann aber ein anderer zu kassieren und selbstverständlich wurde nichts abgezogen. Das größere Problem ist aber die Übelkeit vom recycelten Essen! Ach ja… da mehr als die Hälfte auf dem Teller blieb, werden die Pommes erneut auf einem anderen Teller landen… Widerlich!

The food was very good overall, excellent quality, and the ambiance was exceptionally nice. The free photo booth was a fun bonus. Some portions were rather small and the food was lukewarm; a warmer room temperature would have made it even more pleasant. The service was generally friendly, but in some respects not quite commensurate with the price level (e.g., a glass with lipstick residue on the table, a drink that tasted flat, no apology in either case, mayonnaise brought to the table in a plastic container and salt in an espresso cup). The wait was very long (the main course arrived over 1.5 hours after we arrived at the restaurant). Only one vegetarian main course was available; not really suitable for vegans.

Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great; we waited a long time for someone to serve us. My burger was still raw inside, so I couldn't eat it. No one even asked if I liked it. It was okay for a beer, but the food wasn't for me, especially not for the price!

Our wedding reception with 125 guests at the venue was a complete success. Top-notch service, great drinks, and delicious and well-chosen food. We were absolutely thrilled. The photo booth package was also very well received (: and the quality is excellent. The planning was straightforward and tailored exactly to our needs. The spacious and new playground was also a lot of fun for all the children. Many thanks to Philipp and his entire team! We will definitely be back.

The pleasant ambiance and acceptable food unfortunately can't make up for the poor service! For the second time, our food arrived at completely different times. My sausage salad arrived after 5 minutes, and my companion's large salad arrived after 36 minutes. All the tables around us ordered after us and received their food at the same time and earlier. The salad only arrived after we complained! And then the rude response, "The kitchen is very busy," was given without any apology. Learn to train your staff and get logistics under control. Unfortunately, not like this anymore!

We were there today, May 1st, for a fun afternoon. The drinks were good, and the atmosphere was great. However, the food isn't recommended. The "Wildbratwurst" is, in terms of both quality and taste, a completely normal bratwurst. The portions today were even smaller than usual, which is completely overpriced given the prices (snack platter and chipotle burger). A shame for such a great location.

If you love rustic beer gardens, this is the place for you. The service is prompt and friendly. The food is delicious. What more could you want on a sunny day?

Fries: high price, but a rather small portion. Salad: lackluster: huge lettuce leaves with a quartered tomato and four slices of cucumber. Onions. Vegan tarte flambée: the vegetables are relatively tasteless, and the olive oil drips down the tarte flambée. Great event location for concerts and other performances, but self-service.

The ambience is very nice. However, my highlight was the service. We were here with a younger child. It was super friendly, considerate and nice to deal with. There is a huge playground outside. The food was fantastic.

Quick service in the beer garden. The best fries (side dish) I've had in a long time. Beautiful trees and good seating. The small menu (which is now still available up to the large menu at the large beer garden shop) offers a good selection for vegans and vegetarians. Small minus due to the lack of non-alcoholic beer and the lack of seat cushions.

The service at lunch on Easter Monday was excellent. The boss also answered the phone before opening hours and we were able to make flexible decisions (depending on the weather). The restaurant menu is different than in the beer garden, we were very satisfied with the selection and preparation of the fine dishes. I would particularly like to mention the “Franzbrötchen Variation” as a dessert. We will come back, even if we find the drink prices to be too high.

A real tip. The food was 1a+. It was super tasty. Served hot not lukewarm and tasted delicious. The beer garden is also great. Can also be used as an event location (weddings, birthdays, etc.). Some parking spaces in front of the door. So I'll be back!

Good ambiance, good service, good beer, okay food! We had the "Styrian chicken," which had nothing to do with authentic Styrian chicken. We got a bland, trimmed chicken fillet instead of various parts of the chicken. For dessert, three scoops of ice cream for nine euros!!!! That's too expensive. So, improve.

Food in the sandstone hall at Christmas is completely overpriced and out of proportion. Tiny, super expensive portions that wouldn't even feed a small child. However, the service and the ambience couldn't be better. In summer the beer garden is always worth a visit.

I've known the beer garden for 40 years, the ambience and location are absolutely great. However, the prices are rising sharply and the size of the portions are becoming smaller and the quality of the food is also declining significantly. With a portion of cheese spaetzle for €13.90 without a salad, which is unique in Bavaria, I expect to at least be full and I was two years ago. Now it's just an appetizer and appetizer. The schnitzel or the fried chicken (also without salad) are overpriced, consist almost entirely of breading and taste like frying oil. This is McDonald quality. My tip is to save on the service and make the food better, that's how it used to be and that's how it was better. It's the same in other beer gardens.

In the beer garden (with very friendly service) you can sit really nicely under old chestnut trees. The venison sausages were very good, the fries were hot and crispy. In addition to the usual beer garden dishes, there are also a few vegetarian dishes.

We were there with 6 people. Ambience very nice. The menu has a good selection, but the schnitzels don't work at all, for me it was frozen food. Bratwursts, well that's how it works. Cheese spaetzle perhaps should have stayed in the pan a little longer. Staff was friendly.

Great beer garden with delicious food at moderate prices.

Despite the sporty prices, we have wanted to visit the beer garden again for a long time. A few minutes before our reservation it started to pour and when we arrived with an infant in a stroller in the pouring rain, we were simply turned away with the words "it won't work with your table today," while other guests cheerfully kept seats free for third parties. Even though they knew we were coming (even the strollers were specified when we made the reservation), they couldn't - or didn't want to - give us space under the roof when the rain started. Of course, it can happen that in your haste you don't think about reservations that can no longer be canceled by phone, but unfortunately the head of service didn't even try to find a solution despite repeated requests from an employee. We were literally left out in the cold along with our children and will therefore continue to give our money to someone else in the future.

We were guests at a wedding. The location is really nice for celebrations. The converted barn has been beautifully renovated and is really big. There is also a small outdoor area. The food was OK. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the prices there. I would have liked a little tact when dealing with parents and their children. I don't think keeping the dessert cold should be a problem if a mother is just putting her child to bed or you're bringing it to the end, but with the statement "That's just a mother's lot" I find it difficult. It's also not great that the older children's food is brought last. Otherwise, I thought the evening there was really great.

Nice atmosphere, no question. BUT, as much as I'm sorry: the fried fish was a canteen-level joke in terms of size and taste. The fish was so small that you almost had to look for it on the shelf under the fries - ketchup and mayo were served from plastic bags... My wife had dry cheese spaetzle and I had a turkey schnitzel. In the beer garden it was 1€ more expensive than it was advertised outside. Map outside the gate was not up to date. My meal went like this. Both were at the table within 20 seconds of ordering. So not freshly prepared. Service wasn't exactly friendly. She slammed the cards on the table without a word and left again. After eating, not a word when clearing away! Not recommended!

The beer garden is very nice and with the playground it won't be boring for children. The food, however, is a surprise. Fried fish 5% with fries 90% on the plate for over 13 euros. Chicken schnitzel a little larger but also extremely overpriced. All prices are very high and the quality of the food is worse than in some canteens. It's a shame for the otherwise very nice beer garden.

We are currently here in the beautiful beer garden. Unfortunately, the staff is poorly or not at all trained and completely loses out on sales. Waiting over 30 minutes for drinks, almost an hour while eating, is not possible. Now the wheat beer came in a mug, apparently you don't have any glasses anymore Apparently the boss doesn't know that you can order glasses from the brewery. We were there last time and will therefore recommend the beer garden.

The quality and portion of the food is not in proportion to the prices. The fried fish is the length of a finger, to fill you up you have to put a bunch of unsalted fries on it, €15 for that is not justified.

The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly. I only ate a bratwurst with a roll. The bratwurst was very, very dry, the roll was obviously a baked finished product. Too bad. There is definitely still a need for optimization here.

What a disappointment! We had a reservation for 11 people there, and an employee even called in the afternoon to ask whether we would keep the reservation in the evening. When we got there by taxi (!), the disillusionment came: Because of the rain, the restaurant will close earlier today and the kitchen will only be open for half an hour. We then had to quickly find another restaurant that could accommodate a large group on a Saturday evening. I'm really shocked, I rarely write bad reviews but I've never experienced such bad service. They could have at least informed us in advance so that we didn't all have to make a special trip - or the kitchen could have been left open for as long as a reservation was planned. Really very sad, I hope you improve your service and communication so that this doesn't happen to more guests.

Worst canteen food at restaurant prices. Drinks (Radler) were warm and the apple spritzer was served listlessly in a sealed bottle without a glass. Schnitzel seemed to be a ready-made schnitzel from the freezer that had been put through the deep fryer, the fries that came with ketchup and mayo in a plastic bag as a side dish were still the best. The currywurst was fatty with little taste. The ambience was acceptable for a beer garden, the prices were unreasonable. Never again!

We celebrated our wedding in the Sandstone Hall in September 2023 and our daughter's baptism in the restaurant in July 2024. We and our guests were always thrilled by the delicious and high-quality food; the service staff is always very friendly, quick and very attentive. That deserves high praise! Philipp Striker responds to individual wishes and, as discussed, always implements them brilliantly. We liked that we weren't forced into a given concept at the Armory and that we got food, service and location from a single source. In addition, you are not tied to any other service providers during the wedding, but can freely choose your florist, DJ or band, confectioner, etc. The spacious playground was always the highlight for the children. The location, whether the sandstone hall, the restaurant or the beer garden, is super nice and completes the overall package. The price-performance ratio in the armory is also right! For prior coordination in the planning phase, we recommend seeking personal contact with Philipp directly, as the response time to emails takes a little longer. Nice beer garden, good beer, bad food - unfortunately! Styrian fried chicken, veggie burgers, potato salad - at best only a moderate level of fast food. Maybe chose the wrong food...
