Food in the sandstone hall at Christmas is completely overpriced and out of proportion. Tiny, super expensive portions that wouldn't even feed a small child. However, the service and the ambience couldn't be better. In summer the beer garden is always worth a visit.

I've known the beer garden for 40 years, the ambience and location are absolutely great. However, the prices are rising sharply and the size of the portions are becoming smaller and the quality of the food is also declining significantly. With a portion of cheese spaetzle for €13.90 without a salad, which is unique in Bavaria, I expect to at least be full and I was two years ago. Now it's just an appetizer and appetizer. The schnitzel or the fried chicken (also without salad) are overpriced, consist almost entirely of breading and taste like frying oil. This is McDonald quality. My tip is to save on the service and make the food better, that's how it used to be and that's how it was better. It's the same in other beer gardens.

Half of the tables in the beer garden are now reserved. Where can you find something like that!!! Very annoying and there are more and more of them!!! You'd better go to a nearby beer garden!!!

In the beer garden (with very friendly service) you can sit really nicely under old chestnut trees. The venison sausages were very good, the fries were hot and crispy. In addition to the usual beer garden dishes, there are also a few vegetarian dishes.

We were there with 6 people. Ambience very nice. The menu has a good selection, but the schnitzels don't work at all, for me it was frozen food. Bratwursts, well that's how it works. Cheese spaetzle perhaps should have stayed in the pan a little longer. Staff was friendly.

Great beer garden with delicious food at moderate prices.

Despite the sporty prices, we have wanted to visit the beer garden again for a long time. A few minutes before our reservation it started to pour and when we arrived with an infant in a stroller in the pouring rain, we were simply turned away with the words "it won't work with your table today," while other guests cheerfully kept seats free for third parties. Even though they knew we were coming (even the strollers were specified when we made the reservation), they couldn't - or didn't want to - give us space under the roof when the rain started. Of course, it can happen that in your haste you don't think about reservations that can no longer be canceled by phone, but unfortunately the head of service didn't even try to find a solution despite repeated requests from an employee. We were literally left out in the cold along with our children and will therefore continue to give our money to someone else in the future.

This is a very nice beer garden with a great population of trees.

We were guests at a wedding. The location is really nice for celebrations. The converted barn has been beautifully renovated and is really big. There is also a small outdoor area. The food was OK. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the prices there. I would have liked a little tact when dealing with parents and their children. I don't think keeping the dessert cold should be a problem if a mother is just putting her child to bed or you're bringing it to the end, but with the statement "That's just a mother's lot" I find it difficult. It's also not great that the older children's food is brought last. Otherwise, I thought the evening there was really great.

Nice atmosphere, no question. BUT, as much as I'm sorry: the fried fish was a canteen-level joke in terms of size and taste. The fish was so small that you almost had to look for it on the shelf under the fries - ketchup and mayo were served from plastic bags... Then to charge 13.50 EUR for it... really very annoying and unimaginative. Good food in the beer garden is actually not difficult. But if it smacks of a rip-off, it doesn't leave a good impression. Really a shame.

For me the best beer garden in Aschaffenburg. Outstanding wine list and great selection of dishes. There are always daily recommendations. Nice ambience and good service.

The beer garden is very nice and with the playground it won't be boring for children. The food, however, is a surprise. Fried fish 5% with fries 90% on the plate for over 13 euros. Chicken schnitzel a little larger but also extremely overpriced. All prices are very high and the quality of the food is worse than in some canteens. It's a shame for the otherwise very nice beer garden.

The service is no service, everyone is unfriendly and doesn't respond to the guests. You wait half an hour or more for drinks. The food is also not worthy of a beer garden. The portions are a disgrace and are very small. We were there for the last time today!

We are currently here in the beautiful beer garden. Unfortunately, the staff is poorly or not at all trained and completely loses out on sales. Waiting over 30 minutes for drinks, almost an hour while eating, is not possible. Now the wheat beer came in a mug, apparently you don't have any glasses anymore Apparently the boss doesn't know that you can order glasses from the brewery. We were there last time and will therefore recommend the beer garden.

Very nice beer garden. Freshly prepared meals. No convenience products except French fries (even these are of very good quality) The price-performance ratio is definitely right, but the burgers seem a bit overpriced.

My wife had dry cheese spaetzle and I had a turkey schnitzel. In the beer garden it was 1€ more expensive than it was advertised outside. Map outside the gate was not up to date. My meal went like this. Both were at the table within 20 seconds of ordering. So not freshly prepared. Service wasn't exactly friendly. She slammed the cards on the table without a word and left again. After eating, not a word when clearing away! Not recommended!

The quality and portion of the food is not in proportion to the prices. The fried fish is the length of a finger, to fill you up you have to put a bunch of unsalted fries on it, €15 for that is not justified.

The atmosphere in the beer garden is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly. I only ate a bratwurst with a roll. The bratwurst was very, very dry, the roll was obviously a baked finished product. Too bad. There is definitely still a need for optimization here.

What a disappointment! We had a reservation for 11 people there, and an employee even called in the afternoon to ask whether we would keep the reservation in the evening. When we got there by taxi (!), the disillusionment came: Because of the rain, the restaurant will close earlier today and the kitchen will only be open for half an hour. We then had to quickly find another restaurant that could accommodate a large group on a Saturday evening. I'm really shocked, I rarely write bad reviews but I've never experienced such bad service. They could have at least informed us in advance so that we didn't all have to make a special trip - or the kitchen could have been left open for as long as a reservation was planned. Really very sad, I hope you improve your service and communication so that this doesn't happen to more guests.

Refreshing beer garden visit at the end of a hot day. Delicious food with the taste of vacation.

Worst canteen food at restaurant prices. Drinks (Radler) were warm and the apple spritzer was served listlessly in a sealed bottle without a glass. Schnitzel seemed to be a ready-made schnitzel from the freezer that had been put through the deep fryer, the fries that came with ketchup and mayo in a plastic bag as a side dish were still the best. The currywurst was fatty with little taste. The ambience was acceptable for a beer garden, the prices were unreasonable. Never again!

It's a shame you don't have a website. I would like to send you praise that all the philistines don't notice.

We celebrated our wedding in the Sandstone Hall in September 2023 and our daughter's baptism in the restaurant in July 2024. We and our guests were always thrilled by the delicious and high-quality food; the service staff is always very friendly, quick and very attentive. That deserves high praise! Philipp Striker responds to individual wishes and, as discussed, always implements them brilliantly. We liked that we weren't forced into a given concept at the Armory and that we got food, service and location from a single source. In addition, you are not tied to any other service providers during the wedding, but can freely choose your florist, DJ or band, confectioner, etc. The spacious playground was always the highlight for the children. The location, whether the sandstone hall, the restaurant or the beer garden, is super nice and completes the overall package. The price-performance ratio in the armory is also right! For prior coordination in the planning phase, we recommend seeking personal contact with Philipp directly, as the response time to emails takes a little longer. Nice beer garden, good beer, bad food - unfortunately! Styrian fried chicken, veggie burgers, potato salad - at best only a moderate level of fast food. Maybe chose the wrong food...

For me the best beer garden in Aschaffenburg. It doesn't matter whether you've come straight from a hike, sweaty from a bike ride, a dog walk or a fancy dress from the office - no one cares about that here, the atmosphere is relaxed, relaxed, the prices are completely reasonable, the waitresses are masters of their craft, that Food is usually ready quickly and tasty, you are served and don't have to queue anywhere, the children have a great playground, you sit under chestnut trees... If you just want to sit nicely and in a real beer garden (and not just a backyard or somewhere on a street ) or want to take a quick stroll around the Fasanerie before or after - you've come to the right place!

Generally a very nice beer garden with delicious food, great staff and a children's playground. At the weekend we were invited to a wedding there. And I have to say I'm at a loss for words. It was really great. Great atmosphere. The food as a combination at the table and buffet is a dream You didn't know what to take because everything was so delicious. The staff absolutely great. Never empty glasses and still motivated and friendly even after 10 hours. We will come back and recommend you!!!!! The journey was worth it!

Unfortunately, the portions are extremely small and the prices are relatively high. It's a shame that the Armory hasn't stayed true to its tradition and doesn't offer ribs with cabbage or hand cheese. At that time, many people came just for that reason.

Very nice afternoon spent there. Place was very busy and nearly all seats reserved, we got lucky and found some but had to finish by a certain time. We used to love going to Scampi and yesterday we went to the armory/restaurant for the first time. The quality of the food was outstanding. There were great dishes that you can't get everywhere. Very sophisticated. The service was also great. Prices are high but the portions are also decent. If you want to spend a nice evening, this is the right place for you.

Food and service worth the price.

The best food in the area! Simply delicious! Absolute taste explosion! However, this quality and taste also comes at a price. This is a restaurant that you treat yourself to for a special occasion. Service was excellent. Ambience also very cozy but also a bit old-fashioned. But that's a matter of taste! And is furnished in the style of the old armory. There is also an incredible drinks menu! We recommend! The menu is clear and only selects individual dishes. It doesn't coincide with the beer garden!

Fine dining! An evening full of surprises. The first positive surprise was the outstanding menu including a special selection of aperitifs. The second surprise was the surprise menu we chose. Three courses, well coordinated, the right quantities and top quality. The service was extremely friendly and competent, making you feel good!

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Firmenfeier dort. Tolle Lokation, sehr gute Qualität und Geschmack des Essens, schönes Ambiente. Der Biergarten sah ansprechend aus.

Wir waren Samstag Abend mit der Familie zum Abendessen im Zeughaus. Obwohl sehr viel los war, haben wir schnell einen Tisch bekommen. Die Getränke kamen sehr schnell, dass Essen hat länger gedauert, war aber völlig im Rahmen bei der Menge an Gästen und dass Warten hat sich ebenfalls gelohnt.

Wir waren im Biergarten: Super leckeres und frisches Essen (man schmeckt, dass die Salate selbstgemacht sind), vegane Alternative, top Service (schnell und freundlich) und gute Preise.

Einer der besten (vielleicht auch der beste) Biergarten in Aschaffenburg. Einzig bei der Lage gibt es in A'burg Schönere; diese machen oftmals zu wenig daraus (z.B. Schönbusch, Fasanerie, GUDE) Aber Essen und Service sind Klasse. Preislich auch fair Schön ist auch der Kinderspielplatz Zusammen mit dem Hofgarten mein Favorit in Aschaffenburg!

Ein toller Biergarten, die Speisekarte ist sehr abwechslungsreich, wer da nichts findet hat keinen Hunger. Man sitzt unter großen Bäumen. So wie man sich einen Biergarten wünscht. Es gibt einen tollen Spielplatz, so das die Kinder auch beschäftigt sind. Wir hatten einen tollen Abend, bei hervorragendem Essen und netter Bedienung. Eine klare Empfehlung. Probierts selbst.

Auch mehr als nur schnelles Biergarten Food. Wir gehen gerne hin. Nur das Afri Cola müsste ich jetzt nicht zwingend haben…

Wir waren am 08.09.2023 mit zehn Leuten im Zeughaus. Die Bedienungen waren wirklich top und die Getränke gingen sehr flott, dafür, dass es doch sehr gut besucht war. Das Essen hat leider sehr lange gedauert und der Chef Salat für 15€ aus weitgehend grünen Salat, 1 Ei, ein Hauch Tomate und Gurke und einige Teile Hähnchen finde ich persönlich zu teuer - dafür gibt es auch den Stern Abzug. Noch dazu war das jetzt keine Riesen Portion und ein erwachsener Mann wie ich hätte da durchaus noch ein wenig etwas vertragen. Das Weizen-Brötchen war zwar frisch aufgebacken, aber da könnte man sich auch ein wenig etwas anderes und hochwertigeres einfallen lassen - nur so als Gedankenanstoss. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Personal, zumindest die Kellnerin an unserem Tisch, war unfreundlich und mehr als überfordert. Als wir, nach mehr als einer Stunde warten, unser Essen bekamen war es kalt. Eigentlich jedoch ein schöner Biergarten mit gutem Essen. Zu den Stoßzeiten allerdings nicht sehr empfehlenswert.

Die käsespätzle waren gut allerdings waren die Spätzle nicht selbst gemacht .Bedienung war freundlich . Leider mussten wir unseren Tisch mit anderen Gästen teilen was uns vorher so nicht mitgeteilt wurde, war letztendlich aber okay . Einfach mal ausprobieren

Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend zu fünft und haben uns an einen Tisch mit dazu gesetzt, einen Sitzplatz bei der Größe des Biergartens zu finden war kein Problem. Das Ambiente ist richtig schön, insbesondere für einen Biergarten hat uns die Tischdeko beeindruckt. Die Speiseauswahl ist groß und es war sehr lecker. Der Service war zuvorkommend, höflich und trotz vieler Besucher, besonders bei den Getränken flott unterwegs. Wir können den Biergarten absolut empfehlen.

Habe hier Omas Kochkäse gegessen. Sehr gut, aber zu wenig Brot. Auf Nachfrage, ob es noch Brot gibt kam die Antwort: " Ja, Sie können noch 2 Scheiben haben für 2 Euro." "Und, wenn ich dann nur eine Scheibe nachbestellen will ? Antwort: " Das gibt es bei uns nicht" Sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. So vergrault man sich Gäste. Unmöglich.

Leider sehr lange Wartezeiten auf Getränke und Essen. Der Biergarten ist aber wunderschön!

Genau das was wir nach einer kleinen Wanderung gesucht hatten: schöne Location mit schattigem Garten, sehr netter Service und zum Ambiente passendes Essen. Schön auch, dass wir mit unseren Hunden so willkommen waren. Sofort gab es auch für die Vierbeiner etwas zu trinken. Der Kaiserschmarrn ist übrigens besonders zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistung sind angemessen (Frische Zutaten und guter Service sind eben nicht zum Nulltarif zu haben).

Kult Biergarten mit Bedienung, leckerer, für einen Biergarten ungewöhnlicher Speisekarte und außergewöhnlichen Spirituosen bis hin zu Dom Perignon Champagner für 750 € die Flasche.

Bei Philipp Stürmer und seinem Team fühlt man sich als Gast sehr willkommen, die Qualität der Gerichte ist super und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt! Hier komme ich immer wieder gerne !

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Familienfeier im Zeughaus, wurden großartig umsorgt, köstlich bewirtet und die Kinder hatten viel Spaß auf dem Spielplatz. Herzlichen Dank für diesen tollen Nachmittag!!!!!!

Sehr schöner Biergarten. Leckeres Essen, besonders die Burger. Grosser Spielplatz für die Kurzen. Gut besucht, deshalb lieber rechtzeitig aufschlagen das man noch Platz bekommt

Wir waren Gäste einer wunderschönen Hochzeit im Zeughaus. Leider war das Servicepersonal maßlos überfordert mit der Menge an Gästen. Es lief sehr chaotisch. Wer Getränke wollte, musste selbst die Initiative ergreifen und sich diese an der Bar organisieren. Auch die Speisen kamen mit großer Verspätung so dass sich die komplette Feier um mehrere Stunden nach hinten gezogen hat. Essen war zudem kalt. Sehr sehr schade. Es hätte viel Potential. Location ist wundervoll.

Schön um draussen zu sitzen, ordentlicher Biergarten und gutes Essen

Der Flammkuchen war lecker, der Ort ist und bleibt schön. Ich hoffe, das mit dem Service war ein Ausrutscher und bezieht sich explizit auf zwei Mitarbeiter. So unfreundliches und bockloses Personal habe ich noch nicht erlebt. "Nein, den Sonnenschirm umzustellen geht nicht, der ist nur Deko" und den Gedanken zu haben "äh, sorry, dass ich echt noch was bestellen will" ... geht gar nicht. Schade drum.

Personal ist größtenteils nett. DienPreise sind für die Qualität der Speisen nicht gerechtfertigt. Die Käsespätzle sind für 13,90 zu teuer und schmecken nach (fast) nichts und die Röstzwiebeln bestimmt aus der Packung. Den Flammkuchen kann ich problemlos empfehlen. Das sogenannte Backhendl dagegen umso weniger. Es sei denn, man mag trockene Hähnchenschenkel, plattgeklopft zum Schitzel. Als Biergarten dafür sehr authentisch mit schönem Baumbestand. Bei gutem Wetter schnell voll und leider alles zu geparkt. Wird etwas mehr "gehyped" als es der Laden wert ist.

Das Essen war nicht gut…BurgerPaddy war total trocken, Käsespätzle auch trocken u kalt, Flammkuchen war teilweise verbrannt u auch mich gut. Schade, denn es war schon mal besser. Habe schon lange nicht mehr für so viel Geld so schlecht gegessen. 👎🏽

Als Biergarten ok. Aber nichts besonderes

Saftladen!!! Vorspeise und Hauptgericht bestellt. Hauptgericht kam vor der Vorspeise mit der Begründung dass das ganze nicht separat bestellt werden könnte. Carpachio ohne Grana Padana und ohne Geschmack. Auf Anfrage kam nur die Pfeffermühle. Billige Aufbackbrötchen gab es dazu. Das Garnelen Pfännchen mit Dosentomatenwürfel auch kein Highlight, da wurde scheinbar das Olivenöl auch noch vergessen. Die Salatgarnitur war äußerst lieblos angerichtet. Aber wenn schon denn schon gab es im Biergarten Imperial Caviar im Angebot. Tolles Gericht für einen Biergarten . Schade für diesen schönen alt eingesessenen Garten.

Sehr schöner Biergarten mit genügend Schattenplätzen im Sommer. Man wird am Tisch bedient. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und schnell. Das Essen war für einen Biergarten in Ordnung. Schade, dass es nicht mehr kleine Vespergerichte gibt. Aber was nicht ist …….

Sehr voll trotzdem freundliche Bedienung und LECKER Essen

Bei meinem Besuch im Biergarten mit einigen Kollegen war die „Art und Weise“ wie wir bedient wurden einfach unterirdisch. So wurde uns das Besteck für das Essen einfach auf den Tisch geworfen. Ebenso mussten wir immer wieder auf uns aufmerksam machen, obwohl nicht viel im Biergarten los war. Ich gebe hier dennoch 3 Sterne, da andere Bedienungen nicht so waren. Ich bin ebenso beim Essen nicht sehr anspruchsvoll. Aber ein Schnitzel, das einfach nur nach ranzigem Fett schmeckt, geht für mich gar nicht. Dazu sei aber auch gesagt: die anderen Speisen waren wohl laut meinen Kollegen nicht so schlecht. Ich komme zukünftig maximal noch auf ein Getränk zu Besuch.
