We were there today, simply delicious food, friendly staff, good value for money, would gladly come again.

We called to order a Brizza to pick up, which cost €15.90. It was much smaller than expected. We estimate it to be about 24-25cm (but we don't know). It actually tasted quite good, but the price/performance ratio was very expensive in this case, and the large size wasn't listed on the menu. Based on the pictures in the store, you'll probably get a 30cm one there—so why did we get such a small one to take home? So, probably not again.

I'm looking forward to my next visit for a Hax'n Essen (ham hock) meal. The Hax'n (ham hock) was amazing and the coleslaw was super fresh. 👍👍👍 I just wanted a quick, tasty meal. The bratwurst with sauerkraut was very tasty. A bit of caraway in the sauerkraut would certainly have been good for a good night's sleep and added flavor, but it's just how it is. The service was very friendly, the restrooms were satisfactory. Overall, everything was top-notch!

I've eaten quite a few roast pork dishes, but today's was by far the worst you've had. 1. The meat was incredibly tough, 2. The sauce was so cheesy, 3. The rubbery dumplings were terrible, 4. The red cabbage was horrible.... Sorry, but I absolutely do NOT recommend it!

I've been eating here for several years now, and it has never disappointed me. The portions are generous, and I'm always full. The cuisine is German, and the food is hearty. For me, it's an ideal place when I have things to do in the city. All in all, it's worth a visit!

This service is unbelievable. I recently went after an elderly lady there to return a lost wallet, and then to be told that I was supposed to be there and that I wasn't allowed to go to the tables, it spoiled my appetite.

Britta's hometown, delicious pretzel pizza. It's something special and tastes delicious...but does it really have to cost €16? The drinks aren't cheap either...We're in AB, not Munich. What a pity.

Go. Eat. Be happy. Kochkäs-Schnitzel: like a hug from a cow in a festive mood. Munich's Brizza: pretzel and pizza had a baby, and it's the prettiest baby in culinary history. Service so fast, I suspect they smelled my order from the parking lot.

The best combination I could ever imagine. We order the salmon avocado and the Bavaria and in my opinion the Bavaria was much better. It‘s crunchy, bit salty, fresh and flavourful. Highly recommend if you wanna try something new. I heard the brizza was invented in this place

Good, decent food. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. We ordered a brizza as a starter and specifically asked if this was possible. Unfortunately, everything came at once, so our schnitzels had to wait and cool down. Of course, I mentioned this right away, and a polite apology followed. At the same time, we were promised that the brizza would be on the house. Well, no luck, it was included in the bill. We were served by three servers, for whatever reason. A fourth even asked if we liked our food. It's a shame, but it was very disappointing for everyone.

The Wurstbendel Wirtshaus impresses with really good food and generous portions – you'll definitely be full here! The dishes were delicious and authentic, just as you'd expect from a traditional inn. The only minor drawback: It was quite loud, which made conversation at the table a bit difficult. If you like a cozy and quiet atmosphere, keep that in mind.

The food was great, but one of the waitresses was really annoying when it came to paying by card! I think the decision ultimately lies with the guest as to which payment method they choose! Otherwise, you can't offer both! 🤷

The food was delicious, but the waiter seemed to have a problem paying by card. He kept saying this. Unfortunately, this spoiled the experience. Because I was incredibly annoyed, I didn't leave a tip. It was very rude. I'll never go back!

The Brizza was okay to good, but the Wiener Schnitzel was subpar. The meat was poor, dry, and the breading was as advertised. Too bad, considering the lovely restaurant and friendly service.

The location and appearance beckoned us to dine. After we were seated and our drinks were brought relatively quickly by a waitress who definitely didn't exude friendliness (the table was still dirty from the previous guests), we asked the waitress after more than 10 minutes to wipe the table, which she did with little enthusiasm. In contrast, the other waitress (who said she had been there for 24 years) was significantly friendlier, more approachable, and made us feel welcome. The food tasted okay, but it was almost an insult to the eye. Looking at the picture, you might think it was already being eagerly eaten from the plate – but that's not the case: the plate arrived just like that from the kitchen. The chicken breast fillet was by no means better. It was simply slapped on.

We've been going to the Worschdbennel regularly for decades and were very satisfied with the service and the food until last week. What I've noticed in recent months is the increasingly reserved, sometimes even unfriendly, manner of the assistant manager. The actual waitress is always friendly and approachable. I ordered a baked potato, the size of which was incredibly cheeky. It was the smallest baked potato I've ever been served. I immediately complained, and the waitress said she'd already complained to the kitchen, but they didn't want to refill it... .... I was then given a second potato. What still annoys me to this day is the fact that the management, who had observed everything, didn't care about this incident. That's the impression they left on me. Guys, I've seen a lot of restaurants go under because they were too confident in their customers. A previous 5-star review: The "Worschdbennel" is an institution in Aschaffenburg. We love sitting outside in the summer and people-watching in the pedestrian zone. In the winter, we like to sit in the cozy parlor. The food is rustic and very good.

Absolutely. We were there around 9:30 p.m. and were still hungry. They offered us a pretzel pizza to bake ourselves (to take home) since the kitchen was already closed. Thanks again, it was great. A restaurant with a special Bavarian style of serving pizza. "Brezza" topped with pretzel dough and a somewhat unusual topping. But very good and delicious. Extremely friendly staff. Reservations recommended. We'd be happy to return.

I tried the Brizza and wasn't that impressed. The base and edges were hard, but the topping was okay. I won't be coming back. The server wasn't very friendly; they took my order incorrectly, and I had to wait a long time. The coffee was undrinkable (water with a coffee flavor 👎). So we decided against dessert. Finally, I received the wrong bill with the wrong amount. Sorry, but there's still a lot of room for improvement 🤷‍♀️

The food was good, but the service was very slow and not particularly friendly.

It really got worse with the change in management. Very unwelcoming to foreigners. The manager didn't even want to book a table for us (we then spoke to another waitress and by magic there was a free table). Food quality has deteriorated a lot. Now there are no longer cooks but food warmers. The meat is fried in the fryer. It remains dry and hard. The quality of the ingredients has worsened, they no longer give the salad before the main meal. The desserts are absolutely not made by them. All things are microwaved. We had asked to heat up the food for a child and we waited a good 30 minutes, we had already finished eating when they finally brought the heated food for a small child, because according to the waiter, they had to heat all the other customer orders in the microwave first. Too bad it was our favorite place in Aschaffenburg

When we visited Wurstbendel, we tried the Brizza's. They were very tasty. We received our food and drinks quickly. When paying, the waitress overcharged us for one drink and unfortunately we noticed it too late. The toilets are clean. They are in the basement and easily accessible via stairs.

The Brizza is highly recommended! The atmosphere is very rustic, which I personally like. The card is a simple piece of paper which in my opinion should be reworked... We were told right at the beginning that our table would be reserved later, which was totally fine with us since we hadn't reserved. The service was very reserved and we weren't asked for drinks again after the first round...

I've been there several times now and I really enjoyed every meal (different). tasted good. Was also able to change the side dishes, which I really appreciate. I also liked the house beer (Baba). Staff very friendly and the location is highly recommended.

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few years. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in every respect (Brizza and roast pork) during our visit on April 8th, 2025 around 4 p.m. The beer sauce was a light, thin, transparent, brownish sauce with no taste... the dumplings were lukewarm to cold... the red cabbage had certainly been warmed up four times and the meat was very "chewy" throughout. We didn't really have any luck with the Brizza either... I'll save myself any further version here. With the various operations that day, I got the feeling that young Auzibis were making their mark here. Maybe this is a one-time case - but we will be there in the near or distant future. I stop by.

What can I say? As always, it's good. You either love it or hate it. But it's always good value for money.

Today was my first visit to this quaint Bavarian inn, but certainly not my last. When the weather's nice, you can even sit outside in the pedestrian zone of a pleasant shopping street. The white sausages were excellent. They were served in a very good broth. On top of that, the service was exceptionally attentive. I'm always happy when I discover such hospitable establishments.

The Brizza Bayern was particularly delicious, with the sweet mustard complementing the salty pastry. The other dishes were also very delicious and I was more than satisfied with the price. Both the terrace seats and the indoors have a moderately calm atmosphere, making it a good place to enjoy your meal while having a light chat. The owner was also very friendly and spoke German and English that were easy for us Japanese people. There is also an English menu, so you can use it with confidence. Brizza mit süßem Senf hat uns wirklich gut geschmeckt. Das Restaurant hat ein bequemes Klima. Wir hatten ein Smalltalk mit einer Kellnerin.

The pretzel pizza was too salty for me, but I found the Bavarian ambience to be a great balance. This is the place to be for tasting Bavarian beer.

For someone who doesn't like the crust of a pizza, the "pretzel" was just amazing. I was able to taste the special version. Super fast service. Super friendly. Simply awesome.

Nice restaurant in the pedestrian zone with German cuisine

Super cute restaurant and very friendly waiters, the food is good average, but a bit expensive. I'm just annoyed with the permanent waitress, I think it's due to a lack of socialization, she doesn't even manage to say "hello" let alone know the basics of gastronomy. Her frustration with her job is clearly visible to guests...

5 stars – Here you can find sausage and pub culture at its best! So folks, if you're in Aschebersch and haven't heard of Wurstbendel, you've missed something! A rustic inn just like it is in the book - cozy, hearty and with service that has more charm than many high-end pubs. The two who run the store are simply great! Always a relaxed saying on the lips, but also quick with the beer and the food. And the sausage? A poem! Erna was thrilled – and that’s saying something! Conclusion: Best pub culture, great atmosphere and sausage that makes you happy! Anyone who complains has lost control of their taste center.

Due to a remote transmission from HR, we were in Wurstbendel. The menu is very home-style, but we also came here because of the “Brizza”. And what do I have to say: it was a taste highlight. Plus the fast and friendly service. We wouldn't have thought that the restaurant would be so busy on a Thursday at lunchtime. Although there were enough free tables for two, they wanted to sit us at a table with two women, but then corrected that. We'll definitely be back.

Very good food. Brizza (the pizza with pretzel dough) in different versions, for example. Munich style, vegetarian, often seasonal, for example with asparagus. Otherwise, good home cooking, at a good price. Service is always friendly and even if you don't have a reservation, there is usually a place for 1-2 people.

Wine made from local Riesling grapes was sold on the street. I tried a slightly sweet white wine, and they gave me a full glass of wine. Although I don't know much about wine, I thought it was delicious.

Ich war kürzlich im Wirtshaus Wurstbendel in Aschaffenburg und hatte gemischte Erfahrungen. Das Essen – traditionell, rustikal und lecker – war definitiv ein Pluspunkt. Der Schweinebraten mit Bratkartoffeln war gut gewürzt, die Portionen großzügig, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte. Leider war der Service weniger überzeugend. Der Kellner, der auch den Ausschank übernahm, brachte mir zunächst ein falsches Bier, ohne es zu erwähnen. Erst als ich ein zweites bestellte, fiel ihm sein Fehler auf, den er dann mit einer Kollegin besprach – vor meinen Ohren. Noch unangenehmer war, dass die Mitarbeiter lautstark über betriebsinterne Probleme und Kollegen lästerten – als Gast möchte man so etwas nicht mitbekommen. Der absolute Tiefpunkt war jedoch der Umgang mit Hygiene. Ein Hund war im Restaurant, was für mich grundsätzlich kein Problem ist. Es stand sogar eine Wasserschüssel bereit – gut gemeint. Doch als der Hund ging, griff der Kellner in die Schüssel und stellte sie weg – ohne sich danach die Hände zu waschen. Direkt danach zapfte er wieder Bier und servierte es Gästen. Das ist für mich ein absolutes No-Go! Fazit: Auch wenn das Essen überzeugt hat, machen Service, Atmosphäre und vor allem mangelnde Hygiene den positiven Eindruck zunichte. Ich werde das Wirtshaus nicht noch einmal besuchen.
