Overall, I would say that it’s not a bad place where you can eat something easy but at the same time local. The service was good and they didn’t let us wait too much. The place was a bit noisy but that’s okay.

A really great place with delicious beer. We had a vegan Brizza, which was really tasty with its toppings :) Not exactly cheap, but the overall experience is worth it.

We spontaneously decided to eat here. It was very crowded, and we barely managed to get a table. The food arrived fairly quickly, but unfortunately, it wasn't very good. The food was lukewarm, and the meat was dry. The price was unreasonable. The service was a bit overwhelmed but remained friendly nonetheless.

I was there on a winter weekend afternoon. The place was nicely decorated for Christmas. I had a currywurst, and my companion ordered a schnitzel. The currywurst portion could have been bigger. The schnitzel was good. We had Spezi (a German soft drink) to drink.

The food was amazing, a big variety of dishes. We ordered one of the brizzas and a schnitzel which were very tasty and well cooked. We also ordered dessert which was really good. Our waiter didn’t speak English but we managed to communicate. Overall really recommend

Update: 2022: Delicious food, friendly service. Always worth a visit. The pork knuckle was amazing, incredibly crispy skin. I would eat it again and again. December 2025: We were in the mood for some good food again. Based on our experience at Wurstbendel, we quickly made a decision and reserved a table. That evening, there were two employees working in the restaurant. I believe the friendly blonde woman was the owner. She was very friendly and helpful. However, the second server was a complete disaster. Incredibly unfriendly. Not a smile on her face. Not a single friendly word. The drinks were placed at our table labeled "beer," even though we hadn't ordered beer at all, but a shandy. When we said, "But we ordered a shandy," the only response was... "Shandy it is then..." The second round of drinks wasn't much better. The food was served by the owner. These days, employees should be friendly to guests, even when the restaurant is full. We will think twice about going back to that restaurant in the future if we see that woman working there.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The service and the kitchen were quick and professional. The food was excellent – ​​good, traditional German cuisine. I had the Kassler (smoked pork loin), which was expertly prepared, and my girlfriend had the Weisswurst Brizza with pretzel dough. Both were very tasty. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. My only criticism is the air quality. More frequent ventilation would be great :)

Restaurant in a prime location, right at the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately, it gained some notoriety due to the "Brizza" TV storyline. I deliberately ordered something hearty (not Brizza): fried head cheese. Unfortunately, it was too salty, and the braised onions weren't properly cooked. The price-performance ratio wasn't right for me: I would have paid a maximum of €8-9 for this dish; €12 was definitely too much.

We called to order a Brizza to pick up, which cost €15.90. It was much smaller than expected. We estimate it to be about 24-25cm (but we don't know). It actually tasted quite good, but the price/performance ratio was very expensive in this case, and the large size wasn't listed on the menu. Based on the pictures in the store, you'll probably get a 30cm one there—so why did we get such a small one to take home? So, probably not again.

I've eaten quite a few roast pork dishes, but today's was by far the worst you've had. 1. The meat was incredibly tough, 2. The sauce was so cheesy, 3. The rubbery dumplings were terrible, 4. The red cabbage was horrible.... Sorry, but I absolutely do NOT recommend it!

I've been eating here for several years now, and it has never disappointed me. The portions are generous, and I'm always full. The cuisine is German, and the food is hearty. For me, it's an ideal place when I have things to do in the city. All in all, it's worth a visit!

This service is unbelievable. I recently went after an elderly lady there to return a lost wallet, and then to be told that I was supposed to be there and that I wasn't allowed to go to the tables, it spoiled my appetite.

Good, decent food. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed. We ordered a brizza as a starter and specifically asked if this was possible. Unfortunately, everything came at once, so our schnitzels had to wait and cool down. Of course, I mentioned this right away, and a polite apology followed. At the same time, we were promised that the brizza would be on the house. Well, no luck, it was included in the bill. We were served by three servers, for whatever reason. A fourth even asked if we liked our food. It's a shame, but it was very disappointing for everyone.

The Wurstbendel Wirtshaus impresses with really good food and generous portions – you'll definitely be full here! The dishes were delicious and authentic, just as you'd expect from a traditional inn. The only minor drawback: It was quite loud, which made conversation at the table a bit difficult. If you like a cozy and quiet atmosphere, keep that in mind.

The food was great, but one of the waitresses was really annoying when it came to paying by card! I think the decision ultimately lies with the guest as to which payment method they choose! Otherwise, you can't offer both! 🤷

The location and appearance beckoned us to dine. After we were seated and our drinks were brought relatively quickly by a waitress who definitely didn't exude friendliness (the table was still dirty from the previous guests), we asked the waitress after more than 10 minutes to wipe the table, which she did with little enthusiasm. In contrast, the other waitress (who said she had been there for 24 years) was significantly friendlier, more approachable, and made us feel welcome. The food tasted okay, but it was almost an insult to the eye. Looking at the picture, you might think it was already being eagerly eaten from the plate – but that's not the case: the plate arrived just like that from the kitchen. The chicken breast fillet was by no means better. It was simply slapped on.

We've been going to the Worschdbennel regularly for decades and were very satisfied with the service and the food until last week. What I've noticed in recent months is the increasingly reserved, sometimes even unfriendly, manner of the assistant manager. The actual waitress is always friendly and approachable. I ordered a baked potato, the size of which was incredibly cheeky. It was the smallest baked potato I've ever been served. I immediately complained, and the waitress said she'd already complained to the kitchen, but they didn't want to refill it... .... I was then given a second potato. What still annoys me to this day is the fact that the management, who had observed everything, didn't care about this incident. That's the impression they left on me. Guys, I've seen a lot of restaurants go under because they were too confident in their customers. A previous 5-star review: The "Worschdbennel" is an institution in Aschaffenburg. We love sitting outside in the summer and people-watching in the pedestrian zone. In the winter, we like to sit in the cozy parlor. The food is rustic and very good.

I tried the Brizza and wasn't that impressed. The base and edges were hard, but the topping was okay. I won't be coming back. The server wasn't very friendly; they took my order incorrectly, and I had to wait a long time. The coffee was undrinkable (water with a coffee flavor 👎). So we decided against dessert. Finally, I received the wrong bill with the wrong amount. Sorry, but there's still a lot of room for improvement 🤷‍♀️

It really got worse with the change in management. Very unwelcoming to foreigners. The manager didn't even want to book a table for us (we then spoke to another waitress and by magic there was a free table). Food quality has deteriorated a lot. Now there are no longer cooks but food warmers. The meat is fried in the fryer. It remains dry and hard. The quality of the ingredients has worsened, they no longer give the salad before the main meal. The desserts are absolutely not made by them. All things are microwaved. We had asked to heat up the food for a child and we waited a good 30 minutes, we had already finished eating when they finally brought the heated food for a small child, because according to the waiter, they had to heat all the other customer orders in the microwave first. Too bad it was our favorite place in Aschaffenburg

When we visited Wurstbendel, we tried the Brizza's. They were very tasty. We received our food and drinks quickly. When paying, the waitress overcharged us for one drink and unfortunately we noticed it too late. The toilets are clean. They are in the basement and easily accessible via stairs.

The Brizza is highly recommended! The atmosphere is very rustic, which I personally like. The card is a simple piece of paper which in my opinion should be reworked... We were told right at the beginning that our table would be reserved later, which was totally fine with us since we hadn't reserved. The service was very reserved and we weren't asked for drinks again after the first round...
