A nice Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Leipzig. The food is good, but the price and quantity aren't really justified. Unfortunately, the preparation takes quite a while, so you'll want to allow yourself some time.

In summer, you can sit outside, but the tables are very close together...

My favorite Asian restaurant in Leipzig. The food is delicious and plentiful. The outdoor seating is lovely, but it can be a bit noisy inside.

We're regulars here and spend our lunch break here once a week. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly. Amounts under €20 cannot be paid by card.

Very good Asian restaurant. When the weather's nice, the outdoor area offers a wonderful ambiance between the old buildings and the restaurant's numerous green plants. The food is very fresh and of good quality. We'd be happy to go again!

Located in an alleyway just off the Peterspassage. There's outdoor seating (though it does get a bit busy). We had a delicious meal. The menu offers a wide variety of choices. The homemade lemonade was also really tasty.

We love the spring rolls as a starter. They're aromatic and crispy. The sauce goes perfectly with them. Since it was hot today, we had the papaya salad. Highly recommended. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is freshly prepared in an open kitchen and is exceptionally easy to digest. We'll be back.

The Zchàcá Restaurant in Leipzig offers a wonderful combination of authentic Vietnamese cuisine and a modern ambiance. Upon entering, the stylish, inviting atmosphere is immediately noticeable – both the interior and exterior are tastefully designed and invite you to linger. The open kitchen is particularly impressive, allowing you to closely observe how fresh and carefully the food is prepared. This inspires trust and makes a visit a true experience. The selection of dishes is diverse, and the quality is outstanding. The sushi creations are particularly noteworthy – a real visual highlight and equally convincing in terms of taste. The curries and noodle dishes are also very well seasoned and balanced. The prices are absolutely fair and appropriate for the quality offered. One small criticism, however, concerns my personal favorite soup – the tom yam soup. Unfortunately, it was served without the typical, signature tom yam paste, which somewhat diminished the flavor. Especially for such an aromatic dish, I would have preferred a more authentic preparation. Nevertheless, I still recommend Zchàcá, a place I'd happily visit again. Given this slight deviation, I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars – with room for improvement. Anyone who loves Vietnamese cuisine will definitely be happy here!

A major no-go: Card payments only accepted for €20 or more. For that reason alone, I'd rather choose another restaurant. Truly unacceptable these days. I ended up having to borrow money to pay my bill. The main course was good, the starter was mediocre. The summer rolls consisted mostly of green salad. I hardly noticed any other ingredients. They were clearly trying to make a big impression here. The vegan selection is limited, but you'll find something. The cocktails are also quite small. The service was friendly. Sitting outside was comfortable despite the street.

We've been there several times now, and it's very different. The food is always very good, but the service and ambiance are lacking. It's very loud when it's full. The waiters seem completely overwhelmed. It's only partially suitable for children, but definitely not for a cozy dinner.

Short version: For us the best Vietnamese in Leipzig! May 10, 2025 We celebrated our son's youth consecration there yesterday and, as expected, the food, service and friendliness of the staff were simply great! Because of the nice weather, we were asked if we would like to sit outside and the three of them took everything out and converted it pretty quickly just for us. The meal came to 15 people at the same time and we were able to enjoy the food together. Price performance still can't be beat!! Super tasty as usual. Thank you for your effort and the wonderful lunch with you!

My absolute favourite of Leipzig! Their open kitchen allows to see how your sushi is made and the purist approach of their menu always makes me happy! Head of staff Orlando will give you an amazing experience! Birthdays, Dates or Business Lunch - Zchaca always gives you the atmosphere you want if you tell the staff what you want. My all time favourite is their crispy chicken curry for lunch and for dinner their starters plate & sushi plate for 2. And don’t forget to try their Chanda - the house lemonade should be part of everybody’s order!

Went here last night and honestly, I really wanted to like this place — it looks great and the atmosphere overall is quite nice. Unfortunately, that’s about where the positives end. Service? Pretty rough. The main issue was the manager — he was visibly stressed, frantic, and came across as totally unprofessional. After seating us, he moved us to another table like we were an inconvenience, and then didn’t even inform the waitstaff about the change. So we ended up waiting around awkwardly while they tried to figure out what was going on (not a criticism of the wait staff but of the manager). This set a chaotic tone to the evening. The food looked promising, beautifully plated, but the flavour just didn’t deliver. Everything felt a bit… bland? Like it had potential, but no follow-through. And while the restaurant has a nice vibe in general, we were seated in a dimly lit corner surrounded by crying children. Not exactly the dinner mood we were hoping for. Overall, disappointed. Great aesthetics, but style over substance in both food and service.

The small portions on the large plates didn’t really add anything to the overall experience, and the dishes felt underseasoned. Service: 1/5 The service was a major letdown, and this review is solely due to the manager. While we didn’t have a reservation, he seated us without but made us feel like a burden. He was impolite and carried a stressed energy that made us uncomfortable throughout the meal. Atmosphere: 3/5 The atmosphere could’ve been pleasant, but the tense and rushed energy from the manager negatively impacted the vibe of the restaurant. I imagine it’s usually better, but it definitely wasn't ideal during my visit. Overall, this place has potential, but it wasn’t the great experience I was hoping for. Wouldn’t rush to return.

Despite having a reservation we had to wait but it was still ok. The appetizer and drinks were also good, but the sushi was tasteless and boring. Wasn't a nice experience. A friend's curry was better. If you prefer to order curry etc. I would recommend.

The music was a bit too loud. A companion ordered duck but got beef. They also apologized profusely and repeatedly, and we were given the right meat. The restrooms were super disgusting (wet floor, paper everywhere, it smelled of stool, the lock didn't close properly, and it was very cramped). Cutlery and glasses weren't cleared away during the visit, which took up a lot of space! However, the food, drinks, etc., were very tasty and beautifully served. The prices were high for the amount of food, but that's the case everywhere these days.

The food and service were very good. As expected, since it wasn't our first time here. The seating was a bit cramped, but OK. March 20, 2025, was again very good; we weren't disappointed.

So the restaurant is really worth recommending. Very nice staff and you get the food and drinks very quickly. It is freshly prepared and you can also watch. The soups are just great and it tastes good. Oh well, you can sit very well inside or outside. As I said, really a recommendation!!!! Update from 03/14/25 This time we ordered a platter for two people and I have to say it was perfect, see photos before, another soup each. You simply have to visit the restaurant. The staff and the open kitchen have to be tried and seen. A clear recommendation from me 🫶

I absolutely love eating here and find the dishes delicious! The prices are totally justified for the location and quality. The only drawback I see is the drinks. I really think the cocktails in 0.33ml are too small. Otherwise, I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes sushi or other Vietnamese dishes and would love to come back myself!

This was the best thing I've eaten in a long time! It was really so delicious, I'm thrilled. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy and the service staff is very courteous and friendly. We also arrived a few minutes early, but that wasn't a problem at all and we were taken straight to our table. I can really recommend this place to everyone and will definitely come here more often :)

We got there a little before our reservation, which was absolutely no problem. The service is very friendly and watching the cooking is fun. We had everything from starters, main course and dessert. The food came very quickly and was really fresh and tasty. The ambience is great, but some tables are really quite close together.

We had the sushi menu for two people. High-quality products in absolutely sufficient quantities. Service very friendly and attentive. What is missing is an urgently needed renovation of the interior. The dining couch was worn out, and the table stool would have benefited from at least a new cover. The ceiling and the already scorched lampshades would also deserve a little attention. The open kitchen is great and interesting to watch, but other restaurants have solved the issue of deduction better. Unfortunately, you're forced to sit in a hazy atmosphere, which makes it almost essential to change your clothes after visiting the restaurant. It's a shame, because as I said, the food was delicious and the guests around us obviously enjoyed it too. By the way, price performance is given.

The Zchaca is always sensational. The best sushi in the city in terms of price-performance ratio, the Zchaca grill is otherwise only found on luxury Asian holidays and the lunch menu is a bargain. We have been regulars since Zchaca opened a few years ago.

The food was tasty and solid. You can look into the open kitchen and everything was very clean there. The service was initially as expected, but at some point they forgot about us a bit and we had to wait a long time for drinks to be replenished. I thought the toilets were terrible. Some of the lamps were broken, the toilet paper was on the floor because there was no holder or it was broken and there was mold in the sinks lying on wooden boards. Not so nice...

We spontaneously got a table for two on Friday evening around 6 p.m. We were warmly welcomed. We had a sushi platter for two people and loved it. The amount of sushi was enough for the two of us and we enjoyed it very much. It was something different.
