Very tasty food! Especially the Watan soup and Kabuli Polo for vegans! Small cozy shop.

Very good restaurant.. the food is great and you immediately feel at home when you arrive there. Almost everyone there speaks English quite well and the owners also care about their customers. Best example, my girlfriend choked and the owner was worried and offered help and tips. Seldom seen such a good family restaurant.

Found this place through TooGoodToGo. The food was very tasty and something different. I would go there again.

I took a meal with me. Both the rice and the beans with lamb were carelessly prepared. The beans and lamb came in a green sauce (maybe spinach) that tasted simply indefinable. The restaurant looked nice, the service was great, but unfortunately the food was inedible.

A nice Afghani restaurant! I went for dinner and wanted to order Chopan Kebab and Mix Kebab. Unfortunately, they told me that Chopan Kebab and Shishlik Kebab were not available, and therefore they recommended Watani Kebab. So, we ordered Watani Kebab and Mix Kebab. The order was served in 15 minutes. The taste of the Watani Kebab was good, but the sauces were just average. The portion was also average, and if you eat more, it might be insufficient for you. On the other hand, the taste of the Mix Kebab was just okay, and the portion was the same. Upon asking, they served one extra free bread (Khubaz), but unfortunately, they don’t have Afghani Naan (Naan-e Roghani). The service was good, and they also accept card payments. They have a very nice entrance bell. Overall, the price-to-food ratio was okay. Lastly, the actual food looks different from what you see in the menu pictures, as you can also see in my images. Food was super tasty! Have been there several times now and can particularly recommend Bolani, Aubergine Polo and Ashak. Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. There are also many vegan options :)

One of my favourite restaurants in Leipzig, it feels like homey, cozy, the food is Bio and healthy, they have Iranian and afghan food, and the workers are really sweet and friendly.

Small shop that looks more like a fast food restaurant from the outside. It's cozy inside and the food is great. The menu is small, but with vegan dishes as well as meat and children's dishes. Very tasty and not too expensive. The food came quickly, but there was a bit of a wait for the cashier and the second round of drinks. Overall, highly recommended!

The lady was visibly overwhelmed! Small bowl of lentil soup didn't taste good at all! I tried seasoning it! Very carelessly prepared! Then €5.50 for a vegetarian soup! Not again!!!

Freshly prepared Boloni with thin dough and finely seasoned contents brought me joy. That motivated me to order a Mantu. That was a step up and then I tried Kabuli with great seasoned basmati rice. Thank you very much, I have a great feeling and you gave my group a great taste experience.

The food was good, especially the dumplings, the lamb was well grilled but tough, the lamb and veal balls much better, the olta peppers disappointing, a Persian salad without pomegranate seeds is strange, but what's really annoying: there is no toilet.

You can experience the best national and Afghan food with its real taste in this restaurant. I was a guest of this restaurant one day and I wish to go there all the time.

I think I'm crazy?! I called and just asked if their meat was halal and what certificate they had for it and immediately I was insulted, "are you stupid or am I stupid..." Wow! doesn't work at all

Being familiar with the menu, I ordered Watani kebab and was satisfied with it. The traditional Afghani decoration and cosy environment was nice. The price for a good meal is around 15 Euro which is reasonable. If you don't compare it to a fancy restaurant and also know what to order, it's worth trying.

Food arrived cold, 30 minutes late and you forgot 1 dish.

I had dinner here the other night and, first of all, this is not a restaurant but an imbiss, there is not even a toilet. The first impact is not positive, there is an intense smell of carpet which does not help the appetite, and it does not give a sense of cleanliness. The menu is illustrated as in all imbiss on a banner placed above the counter and there is no correspondence between the pictures and what you will receive at your table: I ordered lamb with herbs and ate practically only the herbs and those herbs were inedible (it tatsted like tobacco and the dish was black!). It was served with boiled white rice and salad dressed with water and salt. I felt like I was eating the prisoner's plate, I was speachless. Unfortunately, it was a bad experience, and I am sorry because I am always happy to support small gastronomic realities but here incompetence and laziness do not deserve to be rewarded.

Ich habe am Samstag mal mittags Essen bestellt, weil der Arbeitstag noch lang dauern sollte und dachte ich probiere mal etwas Neues aus. Und es war extrem LECKER! Ich hatte "Manto" :-). Mal schauen, wann es wieder so klappt!

Durch Zufall entdeckt. Schmeckt sehr gut. Selbst gekocht und...keine Zusatzstoffe trotz angegeben( habe gefragt). Vegan auch. Ich finde...kann man mal essen, probieren und damit Afghanisch Neues ausprobieren. Besitzer sind sehr freundlich, sprechen deutsch. Preise normal.

Sehr nettes Ehepaar das das Restaurant gemeinsam leitet und super sympathisch ist. Das Essen war auch sehr sehr lecker, vor allem der Reis. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Unsagbar lecker. Wir sind spontan rein, wurden sehr freundlich beraten und haben dann viel zu viel gegessen, einfach weil es so lecker war…und auch die Mittagssuppe für den nächsten Arbeitstag kam noch mit…und das alles zu einem äußerst fairen Preis. Wir kommen wieder! Vielen Dank!
