Another truly lovely evening. The food is delicious and plentiful, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the seating is lovely both inside and outside. The cocktails are also good, although this time they were non-alcoholic. There were just the two of us, but we've also celebrated birthdays there with a lot of people, which was also very nice.

Located on a side street with a large outdoor terrace, it's a great place to spend the summer enjoying cool drinks and delicious food. The service was always eye-contacting, yet wonderfully unobtrusive, and always there to help whenever you needed it. Simply perfect!

I was there yesterday with my sweetheart, and I have to say, boy, it was amazing. Friendly staff and a cool atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and the liter of sangria was also a delight. I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely be back 🤙🏼 Even though it's Friday at 7 p.m., we got a seat right away. There are large tables, which is good for groups, although space can be tight with up to four plates per dish. But you'll manage somehow.

It was a truly wonderful evening! My parents celebrated their wedding anniversary, and the team prepared a truly stunning floral arrangement for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and we recommend the Sauvignac Blanc from Spain for wine. An outstanding evening! We'd love to go again :)

THEY CHARGE €7.80 FOR TAP WATER We ordered tap water with our food, and while the food was good, we didn’t expect to get tap water in a bottle. Assuming it was part of the dining experience, we went with it - but when it came to getting the bill, we discovered that they had charged us €7.80 per bottle. We had asked for two jugs, got two bottles and so without us knowing had added €16 to the bill. When we asked why we had been charged for tap water, the lady didn’t offer an explanation and instead insisted we paid the bill. Very unpleasant service despite good food, so would only recommend if you don’t get drinks.

This isn't a Mexican restaurant. More like Tex-Mex with a good atmosphere. Service is okay, but a bit slow. Cocktails are okay. The ingredients in the food are of good quality. The food is okay. The price/performance ratio is a bit on the limit.

The portions were large and filling, which is a positive. Unfortunately, some of the food was a bit cold and only lightly seasoned – there could have been some improvement in terms of flavor. Overall, though, the taste was okay. Unfortunately, the service didn't leave a particularly good impression; it wasn't particularly friendly. It was okay for the price, but there's room for improvement.

The worst Mexican restaurant I have tried in Germany. When the menu offers Schnitzel, tapas, poor variations of chilly con carne, San Miguel is offered as a traditional beer, and the tacos are made not with real tortillas, but with hard shells that you can find in Rewe, you start wondering why the effort. The only Mexican thing is the name. Don't waste your money if you are looking forward to a traditional cuisine.

Im really sorry that my first review is so negative but I just have to warn everybody from this place. This “Mexican“ food is galaxies away from real Mexican food. You can tell that nothing is freshly made and everything contains a lot of sugar. The only good thing were the cocktails, lots of booze, they make you forget about the bad food.

The only star I can give went to one of the three waiters. Who really took good care of us when he was near the table. Otherwise the service was as bad as I have experienced in a long time. Blind, listless and, frankly, pretty lazy. However, with four tables occupied, it seems too much to expect people to check on the guests. Sorry but once and never again

A rustic restaurant that attempts to create a Mexican atmosphere with its decor. The food was good and tasty, but nothing wow-worthy. The cocktails were very good, especially if you order during happy hour. The service was attentive and friendly. All in all, a good evening and good value for money. We had two main courses and four cocktails for €70 for two people. We left the restaurant full and satisfied and will be back soon... Not for the interior 😅

We visited the restaurant durning happy hour and the first thing we were drawn to was the fun ambience of the place. Service was wonderful, our server was very attentive to our needs. We stayed for a few hours and then the restaurant started to fill up. Definitely can tell this place is a local favorite. Cocktails were very good, have to say after visiting several Mexican restaurants in Munich, the classic margarita was delicious and served up the way I prefer…with ice and good salt around the rim. PERFECT! As for the food, it was good. I had to taquitos which appeared to look more like flautas, they were a little too brown for my liking but I did enjoy the accompaniments with my dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as I felt the prices were very reasonable and would absolutely visit again.

My worst food experience in Munich or I should better say Europe. The food was disgustingly bad, we ordered 4-5 tapas and not one was eatable. Not only the food was swimming with bad oil but as well the food was super bad quality. The gambas for example - it seems like they purchased the frozen package from netto and just fried them. The onion rings felt like you are eating plastic, nachos were from the packet and it seemed like already opened for days! Creme with nachos was absolutely crap. Sorry I never write such reviews but this restaurant really forced you. Please DO NOT GO there, save your money and your taste buds

Unfortunately that was nothing: the food was very carelessly prepared, hardly any spices, a side salad with canned corn like from the 80s and the chicken in the taco looked suspiciously like the packaged, ready-to-eat chicken strips from the supermarket. There's nothing authentic here, but unfortunately it's just bad.

Finding good Mexicans in Munich is difficult. You are in top hands here. Very hospitable. Great ambience, nice bar, a good menu and great cocktails. The food tastes very good and the waitresses are all very friendly. You don't have to wait long for the food. I can only recommend it. Thank you for the lovely evenings with you. Yesterday we were in a group at Zapata and celebrated our birthday. The tapas platter and the nachos with cheese gratin were super tasty. The main courses were also very good. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is very friendly and takes special requests into account. The cocktails are also super delicious. We'll definitely be back.

You have to see the valuation in relation to the prices. This is a fairly cheap restaurant by Munich standards. The food is interesting and well seasoned. The portions also appeal to gluttons. Wasn't there for a long time, but immediately felt like home.

I've been visiting Zapata Munich for a good 20 years and have never had any reason to complain. Be it the lovingly furnished ambience, the friendly staff, the selection of drinks (cocktails) or the extensive selection of food. My favorite are the beef fajitas. A little tip: Happy Hours (daily) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. until the end.

The frint desk was rude, the service was not great, and the server kept asking for tips. The food is overpriced in general. Will definitely not recommend it.

The atmosphere was good. The food was a large portion but unfortunately only poorly warmed up. You could taste the microwave and feel the heat distribution in the food. The chicken was way too dry. The enchilada too soggy. Positively the homemade but warmed chili from carne.

We went to this Mexican bar on a Monday at 10 p.m., and we were the only ones there. The place has a very good atmosphere and authentic decorations. We had some beer and cocktails, which were fine, but the food and nachos were disappointing—the nachos were dry, and the food didn’t taste fresh. That was our experience. We did return the food, and they gave us a refund, which was appreciated. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to hang out.

Simply put.. The worst Mexican restaurant you can try in Munich. They serve microwaved burritos and enchiladas, unseasoned and under-spiced chicken that seemed to be cooked at least a day before. Soggy nachos and tortillas bread, tasteless side dishes too. If you are seeking a reasonable culinary experience, I would not recommend at all. The restaurant had a foul odor inside too.

Perfect for a relaxed summer evening! There is plenty of outdoor seating, a cocktail happy hour until 8 p.m. and lots of delicious Mexican dishes. We love the Nachos Supreme, even though they have unfortunately become very expensive now 😅 We still like to come, also because the regular staff is just very nice and you can often spontaneously get a seat even on a sunny Friday evening. The chimichanga is also very tasty.

I sat outside, it's nice to sit on the street (quietly) and you can watch life in the neighborhood. That certainly has its charm. However, the food was good, but not anymore. I ordered empanada, but got something that looked more like enchiladas or something similar. Service is friendly.

Were only there for a drink. The Mojito and Aperol were delicious and a perfect size. Appropriate for the price! The service was excellent.

Authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex food is hard to come by in Munich. Zapata was below average for Mexico or the States, but about as good as you can find in town. The cocktails were really tasty though.

The food is good, but the rude and unreasonable male waiter really makes this restaurant a disgrace! We came for dinner today and put some things (including a water bottle) on the table as we entered the restaurant. Each of us ordered a beer or cocktail and also a bottle of water to share. When a male waiter came to take the order, he immediately rudely took the water bottle from the table and said that it was not allowed. We explained that each of us had ordered drinks and that we had just forgotten, but he just shook his head and said he wouldn't give them back to us until after we ate? Really ridiculous, what right do you have to take my things because of something we didn't even notice? Didn't we order anything or had we already drunk it? It's really rude and ridiculous. After we reported it to another employee he didn't even come to apologize, really shameful and unfortunate!!!!!!

Mexican food in a quaint, slightly rustic atmosphere, which goes well with it. It's a bit reminiscent of the long-gone student days. Apparently Zapata has been around for decades, in one of the liveliest corners of Neuhausen. It was a meeting after a long time; we hadn't seen an old friend for 25 years. The food was good, but actually irrelevant at this meeting. I couldn't pay that much attention. That's why and only because of that only 4 points. Maybe more next time.

In the ZAPATA restaurant in the beautiful city of Munich you can find delicious Mexican food in a beautiful ambience and pleasant service. But you should book the table earlier, otherwise it will already be fully booked, because when I was there it was very full

Went with 9 people. Mixed starters and main courses, cocktails...everything was there. The food was excellent and you could taste that a lot of it was homemade. Meat was tender and everything was very, very well seasoned and seasoned. Cocktails are really tasty and the service was very nice and quick. The restaurant was completely full last night (Friday)! I think that speaks for itself and everything still worked out great. Of course there aren't many parking spaces available, so come publicly if possible. We'll be back, see you soon.

Although Zapata was awarded 5 stars as Restaurant of the Year, I am unsure about this choice after my visit. The taste experience fell short of my expectations, there was a lack of Friday evening atmosphere due to the lack of background music, and the waiters seemed overwhelmed. This discrepancy between the award and my personal experience raises questions.

I can't understand afterwards how ripped off you have to be to charge a single woman €78 for a meal (17.80) with a spritzer and 3 cocktails (2 of them in happy hour)… Unfortunately I was very distracted with my friends... (who also all paid way too much) Me and my friends will never go there again, congratulations, ripped off once and never seen again.. We were there on Saturday, February 17th. and made a reservation at 6:00 p.m. for B. (last name) P. (name) So that the boss can perhaps respond to what condition it was.

A “soft” enchiladas with chicken and vegetables, a taco filled with chili con carne. What I found particularly special is that the chili con carne was not made with minced meat, but with beef cut into cubes. Extremely delicious. We will come back in any case. The parking situation was chaotic, but I'll accept that for a special evening. I think driving with the MVG is better. Thanks for the delicious evening! 😘
