Large portions. To me it tasted like canned beans, meat the same. I won't go there again and won't recommend it to anyone. Better less quantity and more quality!

Yesterday we were in a group at Zapata and celebrated our birthday. The tapas platter and the nachos with cheese gratin were super tasty. The main courses were also very good. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the service is very friendly and takes special requests into account. The cocktails are also super delicious. We'll definitely be back.

You have to see the valuation in relation to the prices. This is a fairly cheap restaurant by Munich standards. The food is interesting and well seasoned. The portions also appeal to gluttons. Wasn't there for a long time, but immediately felt like home.

I've been visiting Zapata Munich for a good 20 years and have never had any reason to complain. Be it the lovingly furnished ambience, the friendly staff, the selection of drinks (cocktails) or the extensive selection of food. My favorite are the beef fajitas. A little tip: Happy Hours (daily) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. until the end.

The frint desk was rude, the service was not great, and the server kept asking for tips. The food is overpriced in general. Will definitely not recommend it.

The atmosphere was good. The food was a large portion but unfortunately only poorly warmed up. You could taste the microwave and feel the heat distribution in the food. The chicken was way too dry. The enchilada too soggy. Positively the homemade but warmed chili from carne.

We went to this Mexican bar on a Monday at 10 p.m., and we were the only ones there. The place has a very good atmosphere and authentic decorations. We had some beer and cocktails, which were fine, but the food and nachos were disappointing—the nachos were dry, and the food didn’t taste fresh. That was our experience. We did return the food, and they gave us a refund, which was appreciated. Otherwise, it’s a nice place to hang out.

Simply put.. The worst Mexican restaurant you can try in Munich. They serve microwaved burritos and enchiladas, unseasoned and under-spiced chicken that seemed to be cooked at least a day before. Soggy nachos and tortillas bread, tasteless side dishes too. If you are seeking a reasonable culinary experience, I would not recommend at all. The restaurant had a foul odor inside too.

Perfect for a relaxed summer evening! There is plenty of outdoor seating, a cocktail happy hour until 8 p.m. and lots of delicious Mexican dishes. We love the Nachos Supreme, even though they have unfortunately become very expensive now 😅 We still like to come, also because the regular staff is just very nice and you can often spontaneously get a seat even on a sunny Friday evening. The chimichanga is also very tasty.

I sat outside, it's nice to sit on the street (quietly) and you can watch life in the neighborhood. That certainly has its charm. However, the food was good, but not anymore. I ordered empanada, but got something that looked more like enchiladas or something similar. Service is friendly.

Were only there for a drink. The Mojito and Aperol were delicious and a perfect size. Appropriate for the price! The service was excellent.

Atmospheric, nice music. I was in the restaurant on Wednesday from 19:00 to 21:00, there were few people, but we reserved a table just in case. I was with children aged 8 and 16 years old - we ate everything we ordered, moderately peppered! The portions are large and tasty, there is a lot left over. We didn’t take dessert - we ate too much🫣 Delicious and unusual Mahito. I recommend! Check for three 125€

Authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex food is hard to come by in Munich. Zapata was below average for Mexico or the States, but about as good as you can find in town. The cocktails were really tasty though.

The food is good, but the rude and unreasonable male waiter really makes this restaurant a disgrace! We came for dinner today and put some things (including a water bottle) on the table as we entered the restaurant. Each of us ordered a beer or cocktail and also a bottle of water to share. When a male waiter came to take the order, he immediately rudely took the water bottle from the table and said that it was not allowed. We explained that each of us had ordered drinks and that we had just forgotten, but he just shook his head and said he wouldn't give them back to us until after we ate? Really ridiculous, what right do you have to take my things because of something we didn't even notice? Didn't we order anything or had we already drunk it? It's really rude and ridiculous. After we reported it to another employee he didn't even come to apologize, really shameful and unfortunate!!!!!!

Mexican food in a quaint, slightly rustic atmosphere, which goes well with it. It's a bit reminiscent of the long-gone student days. Apparently Zapata has been around for decades, in one of the liveliest corners of Neuhausen. It was a meeting after a long time; we hadn't seen an old friend for 25 years. The food was good, but actually irrelevant at this meeting. I couldn't pay that much attention. That's why and only because of that only 4 points. Maybe more next time.

Very very nice shop! Great atmosphere even after 11 p.m.!

Went with 9 people. Mixed starters and main courses, cocktails...everything was there. The food was excellent and you could taste that a lot of it was homemade. Meat was tender and everything was very, very well seasoned and seasoned. Cocktails are really tasty and the service was very nice and quick. The restaurant was completely full last night (Friday)! I think that speaks for itself and everything still worked out great. Of course there aren't many parking spaces available, so come publicly if possible. We'll be back, see you soon.

Have eaten here several times with friends and colleagues. It's always nice, the menu has a lot of choice and we haven't been disappointed so far. I'd love to come back

Although Zapata was awarded 5 stars as Restaurant of the Year, I am unsure about this choice after my visit. The taste experience fell short of my expectations, there was a lack of Friday evening atmosphere due to the lack of background music, and the waiters seemed overwhelmed. This discrepancy between the award and my personal experience raises questions.

I can't understand afterwards how ripped off you have to be to charge a single woman €78 for a meal (17.80) with a spritzer and 3 cocktails (2 of them in happy hour)… Unfortunately I was very distracted with my friends... (who also all paid way too much) Me and my friends will never go there again, congratulations, ripped off once and never seen again.. We were there on Saturday, February 17th. and made a reservation at 6:00 p.m. for B. (last name) P. (name) So that the boss can perhaps respond to what condition it was.

A “soft” enchiladas with chicken and vegetables, a taco filled with chili con carne. What I found particularly special is that the chili con carne was not made with minced meat, but with beef cut into cubes. Extremely delicious. We will come back in any case. The parking situation was chaotic, but I'll accept that for a special evening. I think driving with the MVG is better. Thanks for the delicious evening! 😘

Good cocktails and good music !

There were three of us there and we wanted to eat vegetarian food. The food tasted very boring and seemed interchangeable. The service generally worked well, but it was very unfriendly. The low point of the service was that when I was clearing up, my wife was asked to hand over her used plate in a rather imperious gesture. The cocktails were good. Ambience is certainly a matter of taste but I found it too dark and much too loud.

It was my first time eating at Zapata and what can I say?. Incredibly delicious food!, a huge selection of food and drinks, apart from that there is a long happy hour for cocktails that also taste incredibly good!. The staff is very friendly and attentive, I will DEFINITELY come back!.

Nothing is possible here without a reservation. The shop is always busy, which certainly has something to do with the great service and the even better food. I can only recommend.

not many vegan options but they offered to make my burrito with vegan cheese, which was really nice. the drinks were good and the atmosphere there was nice as well. only the toilets were really unhygienic and dirty

The food was sublime, everything warmed up and with skin on the sauces. The gambas con ajilio were swimming pale in some soup. All in all, never again. I grew up in Neuhausen and thought you could eat well there, but unfortunately not.

Bester Mexikaner in München. Spitzen Atmosphäre und für Veganer ist auch immer was dabei. Essen lecker und Portion wirklich so dass man satt wird. Immer einen Besuch wert.

Zapata has a nice atmosphere including Mexican vibes. However, when it comes to service, we had to wait for 40-50 minutes. In addition to that the food was nice and tasty but it is not like I would come here again and again. I had enchilada and the ingredients were a bit unsalted. That's why the taste was weaker. The shrimp sticks were tasty and the sauce was tastier than the shrimp sticks. In the end, the waiter had a weird attitude by asking for cash only. It is not written and it is not a rule. We had to pay everything together via card instead of having it separated.

Hatte die vegetarische Enchilada, die fand ich leider eher mittelmäßig, war nicht so geschmackvoll. Service war Ordnung, aber auch nicht herausragend. Ambiente ist schön.

Very, very poor food. The frozen margarita was was barely frozen. There was vomit on the bathroom floor. A shame of the mexican cuisine, this has nothing to do with mexican food. We triend the nachos and chimichanga, it was terrible. At least we got the food in under 5 minutes, no joke. They probably have a great microwave back there. Staff was nice, they should take it up with the chef. Avoid at all costs, unless you want the mexian specialty: mozarella sticks. 1/10!

What I liked the most at this restaurant was the interior and vibe in it. They really payed a lot of attention to authentic looking decoration and furniture. The service was very friendly and attentive. I liked the food but it wasnt really special. The house cocktails were juicy, tho. The dessert, deep-fried bananas were a little dry and not really crispy at all. 3/5 stars!

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend mit 8 Personen vor Ort. Wir hatten draußen einen Tisch, neben einem Baugerüst - leider nicht so optimal. Die Bedienung war okay, wir wurden aber zwischendurch nie nach Getränkewünschen gefragt. Auch ein Lächeln wäre ganz nett gewesen. Das Essen war aber sehr gut!

Freundliches Personal, aber geschmacklich war es leider etwas langweilig und hatte nicht viel Geschmack. Vor allem für den Preis leider etwas enttäuschend.

Super leckeres Essen und aufmerksamer Service. Wir hatten für zwei Personen reserviert und wurden am Eingang nett empfangen und zu unseren Platz gebracht. Die Getränke/Cocktails kamen schnell und auf das Essen mussten wir auch nicht lange warten, trotz das es sehr gut besucht war (siehe Fotos). Geschmacklich auch alles auf den Punkt und die Anrichtung ebenso.

Wir waren mit Freunden hier und hatten zur happy hour einige Drinks für 6,90 €, wobei nicht all zu viel Alkohol in den Drinks war. Ich hatte Fajitas, die lecker waren für 19,90 , wobei ich die Sourcream und den Avocadodip ein bisschen wenig für die ansonsten recht große Portion Fleisch fand. Das Personal war freundlich und das Ambiente gut. Auch die vegetarischen Enchiladas waren gut.

Nothing special and had the impression that is fast food style at a restaurant price Probably more a TexMex type . We were under the impression the food was pre cooked and simply warmed up. The Jamon Serrano is definitely not a Serrano but a normal Jamon covered by spices.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen im Zapata. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden. Service gut und schnell. Gute Cocktails. Nachos mit Chilli Con Carne waren sehr gut. Enchiladas Pollo sehr schmackhaft. Preise sind fair und die Atmosphäre ist nett. Wir kommen definitiv bald wieder. Ich kann das Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Das Restaurant ist nicht zu groß und toll eingerichtet, sehr gemütlich, tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war super, vorallem die Dessert. Preise sind super. Es gibt eine wirklich große Auswahl an Speisen, Getränken und vorallem Cocktails. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Sehr gemütliche Location in der wir einen gemütlichen Abend in kleiner Runde verbrachten. Das Essen war nicht ganz unser Fall. Die Portionen sind riesig und etwas pragmatisch zusammengesetzt. Geschmacklich war es auch nicht ganz so Überzeugend. Trotzdem passt das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, da man für weniger Geld viel Essen bekommt. Im Gegensatz dazu waren die Cocktails lecker und Mineralwasser wird hier mit einem Spritzer Zitrone aufgepeppt. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich, macht aber den Feinen Unterschied.

Die Location ist ganz cool gemacht, leider zog es die ganze Zeit, da die Eingangstür permanent offen war. Das war super unangenehm. Trotz drauf ansprechen wurde nichts dagegen unternommen. Die Cocktails waren lecker und preislich auch okay. Schade, dass bei der Happy Hour die alkoholfreien Cocktails nicht günstiger angeboten werden sondern weiter zum regulären Preis. Das Essen war leider nix. Geschmacklich einfach zu lasch, die Wraps fettig, die Guacamole hatte eine seltsame Konsistenz und war schon sehr bräunlich, geschmacklich auch nicht lecker. Uns gab man unaufgefordert die Rechnungen und „schmiss“ uns quasi raus. Ja, es ist aktuell Sperrstunde um 22 Uhr. Trotzdem hätte man es anders gestalten können. Der gesamte Aufenthalt konnte uns leider nicht überzeugen.

Locale molto intimo e carino. Atmosfera davvero tranquilla e piacevole. Menù decisamente molto ricco. Ottimi i nachos e i tacos valorizzati da un chili davvero buono! Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Wir haben uns zu viert verabredet, umgemütlich zwei Geburtstage zu begehen. Mit den Cocktails waren wir alle zufrieden und auch die Speisen waren sehr lecker.
