Zaim Falafel in Berlin

Very very delicious plates!!! We come here every other week and the flavours are amazing and authentic. Amazing falafel, hummus, shawarma, halloumi.

I ordered the Zaim platter to go, and in short, it was delicious. The shawarma was crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The falafel was beautifully fluffy on the inside, and the halloumi was baked golden yellow. The side dishes were absolutely fantastic; the baba ganoush was beautifully smoked, the hummus was creamy, and the vegetables were nicely roasted. (The cauliflower is addictive.) The service is prompt and very friendly; only the ambiance inside doesn't invite me to linger. Thank you for the delicious food.

We arrived at 10:40 PM and only wanted two more portions of fries. Everything had already been cleared away and cleared away. Then we were told they only had potato wedges. We ordered those, and 25 minutes later we left the shop with unsalted, soggy, freshly fried fries... If you want to finish work at 11:00 PM (which you are most welcome to do), they're only open until 10:45 PM....

The place is actually quite nice, but to be honest, I didn't really like the meat we ate – it was rather cold and didn't seem freshly prepared. It's definitely worth stopping by, but don't expect a "wow" factor from your meal. The staff is friendly, but one drawback is that you only accept cash payments.

My trusted falafel/halloumi snack bar. Delicious, freshly prepared sandwiches and plates. (The sesame sauce and hummus are delicious!) The staff always strive to serve the hungry crowd appropriately.

The best place ever. Every skewer and even the falafel are freshly prepared. I love ordering the No. 8. The salad and dressing are also incredibly delicious...highly recommended. The staff is always super friendly. The place is usually full, but you don't have to wait long. Definitely give it a try :)

Was craving ME food. Nice crunchy falafel, flavourful shawarma chicken and kofta and the fries tasted delicious homemade instead of the bland ones you get at fast food chains. Nice humble place with good food, fair prices and generous portions. I was dreading the washrooms because of the reviews here but they were clean enough...I ve seen worse washrooms out there.

The food actually tastes pretty good, but this is the second time I've felt unwell after eating it and had diarrhea the next day. Maybe there's something in the food that I'm not tolerant to. It's a shame – the staff are actually friendly, and if you can't find a clean table, you can ask and they'll wipe it down. Maybe you could revise your hygiene policy a bit, so customers don't run away.

Positive: the food tastes great, for me the best shawarma in Berlin. I like to go there for the food. Negative: some employees are unfriendly, seemingly dismissive and arrogant, which is not necessary at all. The shop itself is not nicely decorated, it is more of a to-go restaurant.

While I was passing by the shop with my wife, my wife's blood pressure dropped and I wanted to buy ayran from inside. She told me that I had to have cash since credit cards were not accepted. I told her I didn't have cash and said it was a credit card - she said no, only cash. Afterwards, I went out and asked for cash and a gentleman gave me 1 dollar. Even though I stated that it was an emergency, he didn't give it to me. He doesn't have to give it to me, but I don't think it was a good move.

Here too you can see that everything has become more expensive. Shawarma now costs €6 But whenever I'm in Steglitz again I look forward to the shawarma.

Sober atmosphere. Great food. I always go here for shawarma or falafel. Very large portions of high quality, including the salads and the finest chai. It's so popular that sometimes you have to take a little time with you. But it's worth it.

Food was a real surprise! Super tasty meat, strong sauces (be careful of the garlic sauce, not for the faint of heart) and fresh ingredients. The only deductions are because of the poor ambience (nothing special), the dirty floor and too much salad on the shawarma plate. Otherwise: really good! Potential is there!

Do you want your life to change? When was the last time you wept through tears of joy while eating? Put down whatever you are doing. Don't wait for BVG: call an Uber and get to this place. Life is passing you by! Do NOT miss it. I would ask management to consider sending a kid out front with a broom and a dust pan and sweeping up the cigarette butts from the outside tables to the street. There's a bunch of unaufmerksame Leute who just discard their cigarettes refuse. This makes me sad, because it mixed with the smells of the place I was trying to carry home in my nose.

The food is really tasty, but the service is incredibly bad. You can't have to wait 20 minutes for a shawarma in bread. If they processed the customers in the order in which they were ordered, that would be a start.

This is my go to place for Halloumi Makali in bread, extremely delicious! Thank you so much for lots of vegetables in this dish.

It's not a restaurant, but a snack shop, so self-service, but the best Arab in Steglitz. The food is very solid, the employees work on a piecemeal basis. A very good address if you want something tasty quickly, there is no reason to linger. Unfortunately, prices increase every few months. The dish I usually order now costs twice as much as it did four years ago.

These are by far the best tasting falafel that my tongue has ever tasted. The outside of the falafel is nice and crispy and when you bite into it, you experience an impressive treat. The service is also praiseworthy, as the staff is always conciliatory and friendly. The ambience in this restaurant is unique and cannot be beaten. I can only praise this restaurant.

My last three visits summarized: unfortunately really unpleasant and definitely too expensive for the absolutely unspectacular contents of the dumplings.

Leider war die Qualität vom Schawarma und Haloumie enttäuschend. Beide Sandwiches waren nur lauwarm bis kalt, der Haloumie war nicht richtig frittiert und der Salat schien nicht mehr frisch zu sein. Die Preise haben deutlich angezogen und die Qualität hat von Jahr zu Jahr weiter abgenommen. Das einzige was gleich geblieben ist, ist die unfreundliche Art der Mitarbeiter. In Zukunft werd ich woanders hingehen.

Es schmeckt mir. Weil es schmeckt hier. Ein richtig leckeres Essen. Das Mamulgebäck mit Dattel oder Walnuss ist ein kleiner Geheimtipp.

War lange Zeit einer unserer Lieblingsläden, (wegen dem Essen , aber auch wegen seiner günstigen Lage) mehrmals im Monat dort gegessen...auch der Tee mit Zimt ist immer sehr lecker gewesen...besonders mochte ich es wie der Laden schon beim Betreten riecht (orientalisch, lecker)....im Geschäft war es schon oft recht voll...ich esse halt lieber ruhig im Sitzen...man sitzt hier auch ziemlich beengt, Tische stehen eng nebeneinander, Sauberkeit auf den Tischen so lala... allgemein sehr unruhig im Laden... ich mochte immer Schawarma Teller am liebsten, noch mit ein paar Extras (kann man auf Sandwich oder Teller dazu wählen...) Oder Mixteller für mehrere Personen... Einrichtung..und die Toilette eher 🫣naja🙄, Lage direkt an Kreuzung und Bushaltestelle

Service war ok und Essen hervorragend. Hab öfter mal woanders Schawarma probiert und war davon meist enttäuscht. Dieses fand ich aber gut und hab dem Gericht seitdem eine neue Chance gegeben. Daher die 5 Sterne, da das Essen in dem Fall überwiegt und das natürlich nur ein Bistro ist :)

Delicious!! We randomly went here to get some food after our travels, and we were surprised with how incredibly good the food was. Luckily, our hotel is around the corner, so we will definitely return here during our vacation for another meal. Not expensive either and the portions were good. Highly recommend!
