Esra in Berlin

We were absolutely thrilled. It was delicious and the service was fantastic. We had the Esra platter for three people and the price was really good.

Huge shawarma for a reasonable price. Very tasty and unique. Pretty long queue, but i was during peak time. Overall definitely recommend to visit .

I came and ate bread, it tasted good but it was a little dry.

Used to be more friendly service and less of a tourist trap for me personally I’ve had it.

I bought a falafel to take with me. A huge thing, enough to fill you up. But it wasn't a real falafel experience at all, probably because of the three small balls of falafel inside. Dear friends, I advise you to head further to Kreuzberg or back to Wedding; it tastes a thousand times better there, like real falafel, not the touristy kind.

Lebanese is with Syrian my favourite Halal cuisine. Original flavours. You must visit this place if you want to taste Libyan falafels.

As of today, you've lost a loyal customer! I'm extremely annoyed and disappointed with your customer service! I politely pointed this out and asked where the lucky cent was that you would get back for "Merguez: €6.99"!? I wasn't concerned about the 1 cent, but rather the way it was taken for granted! Over the course of a day, quite a bit of money accumulates that doesn't appear anywhere for tax purposes!!!! It's strange that €7 is on YOUR RECEIPT, but the manager doesn't think it necessary to change the price tag. How about an apology, saying that I'm an attentive customer and just wanted to politely point this out! Schokran = Thank you for your excuse that you suddenly don't understand me or don't want to understand me!!!??? What kind of society/conversation is this!? Sorry that I speak German and am female!? Where is the gesture of politeness!? Your boss, if I didn't even speak to one of you, should be ashamed. You can keep that penny; I was just concerned about the tone of the conversation and how I was rudely ignored!!! Salamaleikum and here's to better times in terms of manners! The tax office is happy!

This shop was recommended to me. The ambiance is functional but not particularly oriental. The guys are friendly, but 4 falafel for 6 euros with only a few onions and tomatoes in the box, even though you don't want a regular salad, is pretty stingy. The falafel wasn't anything special either. The falafel from Zagros on Skalitzer Straße are made with love and are really crispy and have a special bite. And 4 pieces for 3 euros! Esra doesn't even shine with the product that bears her name; it was a snack but not as special as you'd expect from a shop that puts a big emphasis on falafel!!! Barely three points.

Ordered a falafel brot and it was really good, they grilled the bread so it was nice and crispy, loved it! Also very friendly staff and quick service. The food was perfect for the price point, nothing fancy but still tasty. would go back here!

Awesome place. I especially recommend the shawarma baguette; the food is very good. If you're at Alex or nearby, it's definitely worth a visit.

Staff not friendly and impolite, I quit without ordering

The shawarma wasn't good, the bread was tough and not homemade, and the meat tasted of nothing. The place looked authentic, and there were a lot of people sitting outside, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment.

My first shawarma in Berlin and it didn't disappoint! My only dislike was a salty (i believe it's a) radish inside the concoction but otherwise, awesome! highly recommend.

We had one "kofte" baguette and one shawarma baguette. Both were terrible. How could anyone think of frying kofte instead of roasting/grilling it? The meat was completely dry, all in all, a TOTAL disaster. The staff was also completely disorganized, which is why it took forever, even though there weren't many customers.

I ordered a mixed platter, and everything was incredibly delicious. The people who work here were also super friendly and accommodating! I'd love to come back next time I'm in Berlin.

I've been coming here for years. The guys are always friendly and accommodating. The food is always perfect, and the value for money is excellent.

Really tasty food and the staff were very friendly. I got the shawarma, falafel and halloumi which was loads of food and plenty for a large lunch. My only slight complaint is that the halloumi was slightly overdone.

Small shawarma for €7.50, hardly any meat in it. Typical tourist rip-off. First and last time. Service, typical of Berlin Arabs, very unfriendly and swearing in Arabic.

Just a normal shawarma place but given the location, it's a breath of fresh air after all these pretentious hellholes with hour-long queues. Here you can just come in, get your food in 5 minutes and not break the bank. Already a success for this awful neighborhood

Un super durum haloumi fallafel!

The food is quite good, although there is sometimes too much salad in the sandwiches. The employees are relatively nice. You can sit well inside and outside. However, prices have risen sharply in recent years. From 4€ to 7 or 8€.

Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. This diner has been one of my favorite lunch spots for the past few years, but unfortunately a lot has changed. After receiving both poor service and poor food I feel compelled to write this review. The crisis and inflation have also forced them to change the courts. The quality of some products has deteriorated and the service has negatively affected the taste of the food. You notice Some of the employees say they don't like their job, which is also reflected in their dealings with customers. I will not visit this snack bar again in the future.

Two people are trying to prepare the meals. You wait 40 minutes. There is no order number, they write it on a random piece of paper. It is not clear who is first and who is later. Those who came after us got their food, it was still not ready for us. We had to pay for the buttermilk and leave. So we couldn't eat it. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. There is a possibility that you will wait in vain and leave.

Nice shop, very friendly staff and most importantly: the falafel wrap tasted just as good as in Arabian countries. So if you want to eat falafel the way it is actually eaten, this shop is highly recommended.

Super tasty falafel in bread, the salad is always fresh and the staff on site are very friendly! I love coming here after work and picking up a falafel. I can only recommend it!

I ordered a “house plate” with a bit of everything, it was very tasty, I would even say it’s a bit too much for one person, you should order it for two. The only drawback was that the table we sat at first was not wiped, but we found another one.

The staff were very rude & didn't explain the food. We won't come back…

I've been here a 4-5 times now, it's a cool place with good food. The staff are very nice to everyone, but... I'm not sure why, every time I have been there, the staff has been kind of rude to me, not sure what I did wrong. Paying with card, cash etc. all the times I've been there, it's been an awkward interaction with the staff. I've tried speaking in English, broken German etc, all the same. And I've never seen that happen to anyone else, at least not when I was around.

Felafel only review. From the depths of despair after the "donut" next door, the light shine quite bright here at Esra. Better than average in all respects: the bread, the cooked to order felafel, the salad and the chilli sauce. The chicken looks about as (not) tempting as the photo below, so I'd stick with Felafel. The boys behind the counter were great, and really wanted to know what I thought. All that and pretty reasonable for mitte Central.

The falafel is very tasty, but unfortunately it is a bit unhygienic. If you don't wash your hands after smoking or handling cash, you should at least wear gloves.

I asked for non-spicy couscous, they gave me very spicy. €5.50 in the trash because I can't tolerate spicy food. Added to that the employee answered reluctantly and I asked for no spicy food or onion. He answered me in a bad way. I don't recommend unless you like this type of food.

When employees prefer to chill on their cell phones right at the counter instead of taking an order, that's a strange understanding of service and working hours 😄
