Yummy Town in Köln

Been there numerous times and will continue to go when I drive through. Food is excellent.

I've tried more than 50 Chinese buffet restaurants and i should say the variety of foods here is less than all the others.. Quality of dishes was ok (some below ok level!) and nothing special.. 2 staffs are managing the big salon which is not enough and only one chef for grill. Lack of enough staff took us more than 10 minutes for a wok dish! .. Pricing is not high but for what you have there is not cheap, let say it's ok too.. I'm not going to try this restaurant again..

Yummy town is definitely one of the better Asian all-you-can-eat shops in Cologne. The service is very friendly and committed every time you visit. The selection of food is large, although you should not forget that it is not a high-class restaurant but an all you can eat, which is designed for German tastes. I think it's completely fair. When you read the reviews, I get the impression that many people don't even notice the frying station. She is mainly the reason why we eat there. There is a large vegetarian selection and many vegan dishes are also possible. I don't think the reviews that complain about the quality and price are entirely justified. You get what you pay. The too good to go boxes are worth it every time. For €25 an evening it's pretty solid and if you're hungry then it's well worth it.

I'm a total Yummie Town Ultra! I've been coming here for 14 years and it's my favorite restaurant. You can be sure what you are getting every time because the quality and taste of the food is always the same. I especially love the Thai curry sauce and the selection of fresh fish and mussels. Yummie Town just never disappoints and makes me very happy!

If "Yummy" means tasty, it's not "Yummy" for me. I don't want to judge the service because I had a buffet - and it's difficult for me to judge the service at a buffet. And the ambience is nothing earth-shattering - just like in a typical Chinese restaurant.

I like the food.. Not so much MSG.. Which is good..

To be honest, I don't think much of Chinese food temples, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I put on my plate (😂😅) was delicious without exception and it was worth it 😎👍

The worst buffet I've ever tried.

We have often had birthday dinners here. Everyone always got what they wanted, there was something delicious for everyone, and you rarely had to wait longer for the buffet to be refilled. The selection at the Mongolian buffet is always fresh and varied, there is delicious fish, shrimp, various types of meat, vegetables and 9 different sauces to choose from. You then hand over the plate that will later be served at the table. The Asian dishes and sushi are always fresh and deliciously cooked. In addition, the service is friendly and accommodating. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in Cologne and my declared number 1 for Asian buffet!

Today I had dinner there. Food was okay so far. Some of the meat I wanted to have fried was still raw. When it came to the bill, he wanted to cheat me and my family twice about the price and added €12. Until I said I was calling the police, then he gave me the normal bill. So not exactly recommended

All in all, I'm sorry but we were very disappointed today, especially the air conditioning was broken in this weather, the food was lukewarm and the cake selection was nothing. We won't be coming back

We were here for the first time this evening and I really liked the shop. The atmosphere was super relaxed and the service from the waiters was more than first class. The food was very tasty both at the buffet and at the grill. I also more than liked the dessert options. I especially liked the large selection of ice cream flavors. In terms of price, the whole thing is absolutely reasonable. I can only recommend! :)

During the week and Saturday at lunchtime there is a rich and inexpensive buffet including duck, octopus, sushi and fresh fruit such as pineapple, melon and grapes. There is also seating outside on the sidewalk but on the street

I celebrated my birthday (60) there. Nice atmosphere, courteous service and delicious food. There you can eat from a menu or buffet (we also have vegetarian meals on offer). The prices are absolutely right.

The buffet offers a variety of dishes, but unfortunately my visit was not entirely satisfactory. Although the food was edible, the taste left something to be desired. It was disappointing that it took over half an hour for dishes such as chicken and duck to be refilled. The meat for frying was also far too tough. Another negative point was that there were too few tongs - there was only one tong available for different types of meat such as kangaroo, deer and beef, and I also observed this with other dishes. At a hefty price of €25 just for the buffet, I expect more...

Nice all you can eat restaurant with grill. Good selection of fried dishes and fresh fish, meat and vegetable counter. The service is quick and attentive.

I called by phone. Ordered noodles to pick up. Was ready in under 10 minutes. Employee was very nice. There was also a 10% pick-up discount and the food was super tasty and a large portion that I was able to eat 1.5-2 times :)

It's an average buffet in Germany. The BBQ category is better. Many varieties. The food is served quickly.

If you don't have too many expectations, you won't be disappointed. The food isn't all good, the service doesn't look all but friendly, the furnishings are in the usual design, the room has a corresponding noise level. But, you leave full

Actually it was very good there!! Unfortunately some things were only luke warm. Or not refilled. There were 5 of us and we paid just over €150.00

The two of us went here for dinner, when we arrived the buffet was almost empty and nothing was replenished. Also, everything we took was lukewarm or cold, except what you give to the cook to fry. The service was ok. There were also a number of people eating, but the buffet was still not replenished... strange to ask the full price. The sushi had a lid on it, but that didn't stop the flies from getting under it and sitting on the sushi. Now the next day, very nauseous. Definitely not recommended.

Rich buffet, nice service, prices ok

The food was good but only after two hours we where thrown out there was no time limit told us and drinks usually start at about 2.50€ and a lunch menu costs 25.00€ per person so I see no value in coming in again

Unfortunately a big disappointment. I really can't understand other people's reviews. Please read my review to the end!!!! Went home still hungry and with a stomach ache... We recently had a meal here, more than €30 per person. So for that price you would expect decent food. Unfortunately, you will be absolutely disappointed here. There wasn't really much choice, just the usual and sometimes uninteresting. Fish is fine. Sushi is okay, unfortunately not much choice! The rice is ok, dry but edible. Pasta tastes dry/old and not well seasoned, somehow it also has a strange aftertaste. Chicken and duck are totally greasy and a few pieces feel like they only consist of fat. Can't really enjoy it. The beef/lamb meat was the biggest disaster, it can be compared to rubber bathed in oil. Can be chewed like chewing gum and spit out or choked down whole piece. Very bad quality! From the looks of it, dessert doesn't taste good. When it comes to ice cream, there is nothing wrong with normal ice cream. Then there were donuts. So even though there are ready-made donuts from Aldi or Lidl, they just didn't taste good. Probably because they've been lying there for a week. Then there is also a cat running around in the store. Maybe to catch the rats? But I don't find it particularly appetizing when animals run around freely at the open buffet. There isn't much to say about the staff because you don't get to hear much from them. But somehow they aren't there either. They seem nice though. There were 4 of us and none of us could eat our fill. Tried everything and nothing tasted good. We were able to eat a bit of rice and sushi. Funnily enough, me and one of the colleagues got sick later, which is why I'm writing this review now. Probably from the meat, not fresh and bathed in old oil. Conclusion: Very poor value for money. Some food not edible. I just had to write this review because I have to say what's going on here.

The Mongolian buffet is clear and not really exotic. Japanese and Chinese good.

Were there Saturday lunchtime. Wasn't too crowded and the selection of food was very good. The service was quick but not intrusive. The advantage is that you can also find a place with a stroller.

This huge buffet with lots of variety was wonderful. You can't try everything. Sushi and freshly prepared meat are also available. And then dessert and lots of fresh fruit... simply delicious. Price-performance ratio very good. Free parking almost next door in a relatively large space or the train stop 100 m away.

Sehr leckere Gerichte, alles frisch zubereitet, reichhaltiges Buffet, wenn etwas an Gerichten leer war, wurde es innerhalb kürzester Zeit aufgefüllt. Sehr empfehlenswert dort essen zu gehen.

Mittags Buffet Es gibt alles was mann sich wünscht. Es wird zügig aufgefüllt was lehr ist. Sehr freundliches Personal. Preus/Leistung in Ordnung. Ich komm mit dem Zug und der Straßenbahn, eine Stunde fährt. Aber es lohnt sich

Wir waren am 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag zu Besuch im "Yummy Town". Das Essen und der Service waren sehr reichhaltig und qualitativ sehr gut. Das Personal war stets freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Preise wurden für Weihnachten angehoben. Pro Person kamen wir auf 30€, inkl. einem Getränk. Den Preis für Kleinkinder über 5 Jahre haben wir als zu hoch empfunden.

Wirklich sehr lecker. Sehr viel Auswahl beim Buffet. Sehr kinderfreundlich und gemütlich. Auch die Preise sind sehr human. Sehr zu empfehlen....

Leider war das Buffet immer recht leer und es dauerte länger bis gewisse Sachen nachgefüllt wurden... geschmacklich war es ok, aber ich kenne besseres... vom Ambiente sehr schön, aber leider auch etwas zuviel Tische für meinen Geschmack... man sitzt schon sehr eng aneinander

Es war sehr schön. Sehr gemütlich und sauber. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hat auch Fragen über das Essen beantwortet. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Gutes Abend-Buffet und nettes Personal.

Man kommt rein - richtig schönes Ambiente, angenehme Musik, sowie nette Bedienung. Riesige Auswahl bezüglich Buffet und die Nachspeisen sind immer sehr lecker!

Die Portionen von der Karte sind groß. Das Essen schmackhaft und der Service zügig. Wenn es gut gefüllt ist wird es leider sehr laut, da der Gastraum recht offen ist.

Das Lokal ist groß, aber nicht zu groß, so dass man gemütlich sitzen kann. Vom Essen her gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Viel Auswahl und alles lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Einziger Kritik Punkt ist der Kölsch Preis für 0,2 Liter Euro 3,-. Insgesamt klasse da.

Solides asiatisches Restaurant. All you can eat Buffet ist in Ordnung mit Blick auf Preis und Leistung. Der Service ist gut und nicht aufdringlich. Qualität ist Standard und völlig ausreichend für die breite Masse.

Könnte ein wenig freundlicher sein. Abends gibts zusätzlich Mongolisches Barbeque. Wer chinesisches Essen mag macht hier nichts falsch.

Trotz längerer Abstinenz gab es heut im yummy town nichts zu beanstanden. Mittagsbuffet lecker, immer Zeit nah aufgefüllt, alles bestens wie man es schon Jahre kennt 👌🏻💪🏻🍀.

Wir waren mit 1 Erwachsen und 1 Kind zum Mittagsbueffet dort essen. Um 13 Uhr waren bereits entweder die Behälter fast leer (Fisch und Fleisch nur noch gering in der Sosse) die Reste verkocht oder kalt. (In einem Behälter waren ueber längerer Zeit 5 Pommes kalt). Wenn nachgefüllt wurde, war die Menge so gering und alle stürzten sich darauf. Es war eine Zumutung, wenn man mit Appetit bzw. Hunger dort hingeht. Bei einem Preis von 12,90 (fuer das Kind 10 Jahr wurde auch 12.90 berechnet) steht dies in keinerweise zur gebotenen Leistung. Der Laden hat bis 14,30 Mittagsbuffet und was mag da noch geboten werden.
