Wir haben das Restaurant mittags mit meinem Freund besucht und waren begeistert. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hervorragend beraten – besonders die empfohlene Limonade war richtig lecker. Wir haben gebratene Nudeln mit Garnelen, Reis und die Pekingente bestellt. Alles war frisch, heiß und unglaublich lecker. Die Pekingente war einfach hervorragend! Vielen Dank für den tollen Service und das leckere Essen. Wenn wir wieder in Köln sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Heftigste Acht Kostbarkeiten die ich je gegessen haben. Es hat so Geil gegrill geschmeckt besonders das Gemüse einfach Weltklasse. Die Pekingsuppe auch mega.

Die Portionen waren zu klein; sie waren in zwei Bissen aufgegessen. Für den Preis waren die Portionen zu klein, und der Geschmack war sehr durchschnittlich; alle Gerichte schmeckten nach Sojasauce.

Auf den ersten Blick schwer zu finden, da es nur einen Eingang gibt, das Restaurant befindet sich oben, aber dann ein Geheimtip, beste Ente die ich je bei einem Asiaten gegessen habe und beste Bedienung. Hier arbeiten alle mit viel Herz und Empathie. Wäre das Lokal in Hamburg, würde es mein Stammlokal, schon wegen der Menschen.

Es gab unterschiedliche Speisekarten für Chinesen und Deutsche. Erst nachdem wir etwas bestellt hatten, das die Chinesen am Nachbartisch aßen, schmeckte es uns.

Eine Frechheit , die ich so noch nicht erlebt habe, ich bestelle einmal Huhn süß sauer , meine Frau eine Peking-Suppe , beide je ein kleines Kölsch. Rechnung 31,50 € Ich entdecke auf der Rechnung einen Posten : Reis 2,50 € ich frage. Warum Reis extra bezahlt werden muss, es wird begründet , meine Frau hat nur Suppe gegessen und hat von mir mit gegessen , ich h7 trotzdem nicht alles geschafft. Vom Reis habe ich noch nicht einmal ein Viertel !!! gegessen. Es bleibt ein bitterer Nachgeschmack. Zumal man hätte darauf hinweisen können , so ohne Kommentar , echt unmöglich

Ich war so froh, dieses chinesische Restaurant zu finden. Es befand sich im Obergeschoss. Ich bestellte Gerichte nach kantonesischer Art. Sie waren sehr lecker und frisch. Die Bedienung sprach neben Kantonesisch auch Mandarin, Englisch und Deutsch. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Normale Portion gebratene Nudeln mit Hühnchen 16 Euro plus Süßsauersoße 2 Euro. Für mich deutlich zu teuer und geschmacklich nicht der Hit.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Mittag dort essen. Mehr zufällig als geplant und waren angenehm überrascht. Die Einrichtung ist etwas älter und näher an den 80ern, aber das Essen war umso besser. Super frisch und super lecker. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Wir haben hier in toller Lage sehr gut gegessen. Das Essen war köstlich und preiswert. Ich empfehle die gebratene Ente und vielleicht auch die knusprigen Nudeln – die sind mein Lieblingsgericht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl der Gerichte.

Das Restaurant ist nicht zu empfehlen. Essen hat nicht geschmeckt, dafür war der Preis "sehr gut". Die Frühlingsrolle war sehr groß, aber geschmacklich nucht besonders. Die süß-sauer Soße war nur sauer und das Gemüse von der Hauptspeise war holzig. Der Reis zur Hauptspeise wurde extra in Rechnung gestellt. So etwas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Die Höflichkeit des Personals war gekünstelt und die Räumlichkeiten waren schlecht beheizt, da es abends sehr kühl wurde. Eigentlich dürfte es gar keinen Stern geben. D.h. mit einem Stern ist das Restaurant mehr als gut bedient.

Es ist ein sehr entspanntes Restaurant, in dem man dem Lärm der Stadt entfliehen kann. Die Preise sind normal und der Kellner Mar war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Der Service hier ist ausgezeichnet und das Essen sehr authentisch. Ich kann es Taiwanern wärmstens empfehlen, hier zu essen! Es empfiehlt sich jedoch, Bargeld mitzubringen.

Waren im Peeking am Dom und fanden’s richtig gut! Das Essen war mega lecker, frisch und kam schnell. Service entspannt und freundlich, Atmosphäre auch super angenehm. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

It is located near Köln Cathedral. I highly recommend to try their Peking duck. It is delicious with the fried rice.

Very bad experience. I ordered fried rice with chicken, meat, and eggs. It was bland and nothing like an authentic Chinese dish. The duck was somewhat okay, as it was cooked through but not crispy. The older woman gave me a used tissue when I asked for one. This really annoyed me, especially since there were no tissues or hand dryers in the restrooms. There was also no toilet paper. 👎 The woman also refused to pay with Visa. There was a misunderstanding, and on the second attempt, she finally let me pay with it. Overall, the food was very bad and the customer service was terrible. The woman seemed to prefer German customers and was very friendly to them, which wasn't the case with me.

Booked a spot here because many other restaurants were closed on Christmas Day in Cologne. Was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of food (stir fried seasonal vegetables with garlic was divine) and stunning location right beside the Cologne Cathedral. The waitstaff were extremely attentive and engaged in friendly conversation despite the busy night. We were served complimentary plum wine to finish the meal and left the restaurant filled with Christmas joy.

The service was very slow. 20 minutes before they took our order and an hour before food arrived. The restaurant was very cold and we had to keep wearing hats and coats. Very disappointing.

Have eaten here twice, and it's rare that I can eat at restaurants safely. I have difficult food allergies, but the staff has been so willing to accommodate and I have been able to eat without getting problems afterwards. I rarely eat at restaurants due to bad experiences with my food allergy problems and also being scared of annoying the staff with requests or questions, but it's been no problem for me here. I'm happy to just be able to eat vegetables without having to worry about getting sick while visiting Köln with family.

The food was far below average and not very easy to digest. The atmosphere was musty, but the waiters were quite nice.

The restaurant is located on the 1st floor. There is an elevator, but then you still have to climb a small staircase with about 10 steps. The restaurant is therefore not suitable for people in wheelchairs and people who cannot climb stairs. That's a shame because the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We had a delicious meal here. Of course, the fact that people of Chinese descent also eat there says enough. The staff is very friendly. The design took us back to the early 1980s. This is what the Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands also looked like. It wouldn't surprise me if the menu also dates from that period.

The restaurant wasn't heated in November. It was cold. The staff knew this. They claimed to have informed the landlord, but he did nothing to fix it. The food wasn't very good. Everything tasted of soy sauce. Card payments weren't accepted.

The food was served directly on the plate, which is unusual for a Chinese restaurant. It tasted very bland, and the bamboo shoots were very tough. I wouldn't eat there again. What a waste of money.

Authentic cuisine, friendly service, cozy atmosphere.

We went to the place as the proximity to the centrum is amazing. The place is quite huge and well maintained. We ordered in Drinks: mango juice, coke zero and GINGER ALE I would definitely recommend the mango juice it was amazing. Food: stir fried noodles with chicken, spring rolls, dimsums and grilled duck with rice. The duck was cooked well and was good. Spring rolls and dimsums were fine as well. But the noodles were pathetic its tastes like raw turmeric and no other flavour. I really felt it was a waste of time and money.

That's exactly how I imagine a Chinese restaurant. You have to go up a flight of stairs and around a few corners. The decor is beautifully authentic 80s, I love it. (It immediately made me think of "Big Trouble in Little China" with Kurt Russell. There were also a lot of Chinese people, or rather a Chinese group, in the restaurant, which speaks for itself. The food was excellent; they had lamb on a hot plate, very spicy, super.

Based on the positive reviews, I stopped by today, and I have to say it was really good. The food was very tasty and quite filling. I highly recommend it to lovers of Chinese cuisine.

The staff is friendly, but no one speaks German, and it was difficult to order food. It was impossible to communicate. The tea was cold, the soup not tasty. The ambiance was 80s, everything was very old. There's only one cloth towel in the restroom.

We were there for dinner. We were kindly given a table right away, no reservation required. We had a gorgeous view of the cathedral. The service was excellent, and the Chinese food was delicious.

We were there 3 years ago and it was great, but now the reviews have scared us a bit... My girlfriend called to ask about the reviews and what was going on, but the man on the phone was pretty speechless and just hung up... Nothing more needs to be said...

My wife, grandson and myself went in for some food, hardly anyone in there, which is not a good sign. The food wasn’t great and well over priced, plus, the waitress was trying to over charge us at time of payment, she said she thought it was a tip.tip for her, I can still count money and I know most of the tricks

If I could give 0 stars, I would! On the positive side, we were warmly welcomed, and after a few difficulties with the language barrier, the waiter politely accommodated our special requests. Unfortunately, there's nothing more positive to say. Negative: At the next table was a mother with a toddler who was practically finished when we arrived. They then left, too; the table wasn't cleared during the approximately 25 minutes we were there. When the drinks arrived, one had to be returned because the glass wasn't clean and the foam on the beer was gray. We ordered our food and chatted. Then one of our friends said, "There's a mouse!" And indeed, there was a mouse running around in the dining room where we were sitting. We alerted the staff and asked them to bill us for our drinks because we wanted to leave after this experience. We were surprised that none of the employees were surprised and billed us without apology. I don't know how these positive reviews came about. We didn't eat anything else after the encounter with the mouse!

Well the food there was delicious but the portions were really small and for that price, not that reasonable. But the decoration is very beautiful.

Taste: 0, not much... 9 euros for 4 diced ribs...? "Chicken soup" 5.50 euros, a cup of coffee with chicken strips (max. 10g) plus carrot strips and rice noodles... maybe 200ml of everything... Taste -100 euros. Spring roll 6.50 euros, more fat than anything else... You're paying for the view of the cathedral, not the quality... oh, the view, if you're lucky enough to have a spot where you can see it. I know I'm writing in a negative tone, but for me, it's in the top three worst restaurants, and I've been working as a chef for 20 years... avoid, run away... I suspect the water from the puddle has more of the taste and aroma of China and Asia... also, there were no upset stomachs, but that's about the only positive.

There’s stairs to climb to get to this restaurant serving Chinese fare. Came here after visiting the Cologne Cathedral and family members were missing Asian food. Pretty average tasting food but that’s probably to be expected. The mushrooms were the best dish and was pretty flavourful. Prawn toast was alright and the Sichuan 辣子鸡 isn’t the crispy fried version popular in Singapore but it’s passable. Service is fairly brisk and the environment and ambience is pretty noisy with some large Chinese tables the time we were there. Decor looks like something out of the 80s.

Service was very, very slow. We found a hair in the main course in the kitchen, but they immediately returned and said it wasn't a hair, and we had paid full price. We've had better Chinese restaurants and I'm very disappointed.

I came to Köln for a haircut. After the haircut, I didn't have time to go back to Saar, so I had to find a place to eat dinner. I didn't want to eat McDonald's, so I chose this Chinese restaurant. One of the worst restaurant visits I've ever experienced. As soon as I walked in, I was hit by an unpleasant smell – a mixture of old grease, stale food, and poor hygiene. The floor was sticky, the tables dirty, and old napkins and food scraps were scattered in the corners. What was particularly disgusting was a visible layer of dust everywhere – on windowsills, lamps, and even the decor. It looked as if the place hadn't been properly cleaned in months. The food was as bad as the condition of the place. The meat was tough, stringy, and had an unpleasant taste – definitely not fresh. The rice was hard, lumpy, and smelled slightly musty. The vegetables were also mushy and completely overcooked. Everything tasted like it had been microwaved and prepared without any love or quality. From a hygiene perspective, the whole thing was beyond questionable. If the dining room looks like this, I don't even want to know what goes on in the kitchen. I felt uncomfortable throughout my entire stay and stopped eating after a few bites. Absolutely not recommended. This restaurant urgently needs to be inspected. I'll definitely never be back – anyone who eats here is risking their health.

Great atmosphere food and service with a beautiful view!

The food was good, even if the portions were a bit small, especially for the relatively high price. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time before we were even served, and were "skipped" several times and told "we'll be back in a few minutes." We also ordered rice, which was unfortunately forgotten. The ambiance is okay, but nothing earth-shattering. The restrooms have seen better days. All of this isn't great, but I could live with it. the food was so bad. I ordered the chicken soup but it’s only plain soup? and the vege i ordered is only served with stem but no leaves. The waiter was so rude, I told him that i’m allergic to seafood so I wished to have a plain fried rice with only eggs but he told me to just eat plain rice in a very bad attitude and told me not to eat in their restaurant. I’m there with my friends so i had to have my meal there. When i want to use the washroom he stopped me and told me I cannot use the washroom and locked the washroom??? Is this the attitude a waiter supposed to have? I’m here to have my meal and I’m also paying for my meal I’m not there to use the washroom for free ok?? Don’t come to this restaurant if you want to have a pleasant meal 😅

This is located beside McDonald and needs to walk the staircase to the first floor. They have limited waiters to serve and take orders. So we need to patiently wait during peak hour. The food is delicious, the toilet is clean. Can pay with cash or credit card but they prefer cash.

I visited this restaurant because of its positive reviews and the attractive pictures on the homepage and I'm wondering how all these positive reviews came about? I was warmly welcomed and pointed out that I had made a reservation for one person, but I had the feeling that the older lady didn't understand me at all. She wanted to seat me right at a table right next to the front door, which was still half covered with old dishes and stained on a paper tablecloth. Luckily she immediately understood my shaking of the head and led me to another, nicer table. After studying the menu for 10 minutes, the same lady asked me what I would like to order? However, I was only allowed to order my drink from her and had to wait another 5 minutes before her colleague took the food. After another 15 minutes my main course arrived, without me having my soup first. The older lady told me that she would bring it immediately, but I refused because I wanted to eat the soup before my main course. I offered her that I might have the soup afterwards, but I didn't because my main course (chicken with bamboo and Chinese mushrooms) didn't taste good at all. The meat was tough, the “Extra Fried Rice” was cold and the sauce was totally over salted. I really like Chinese food and have visited a lot of restaurants, but this was a solid 6! To top it off, the older lady wanted to pack the soup for me to take home because she couldn't take the soup out of the cash register, but I also refused with a shake of my head and asked to pay. After 10 minutes of waiting, I didn't feel like waiting anymore and went to the front of the counter and noticed that other guests were also having problems. Of course I then received the receipt including the soup and kindly pointed out that I had not received any soup. The next receipt was then correct. The lady then showed me the card reader and asked me how much my tip should be? I told her that after this experience I wasn't willing to tip at all, which she then understood, admitted and apologized for. I really don't like doing this kind of thing and I don't usually spend that much time on reviews, but this restaurant really screwed me up this evening. If you want to eat authentic Chinese food in Cologne, you should go to Great Wall.

Apparently you have to pay an extra €4 if you want to pay by card. Or maybe even a completely arbitrary amount. Because of the language barrier and because it was supposed to be a nice evening, I didn't feel like starting a discussion... Food was OK, but not worth the money. Toilets could definitely have been nicer given the prices. No soap. In addition, others who came after us were served beforehand.

Good chinese restaurant next to the Cathedral and Hbf. It's above some shops so look carefully. Very large space with nice up market ambiance. Excellent ribs to start ( small portion though) and large signature duck as mains. A little heavy with the soy sauce on both dishes - hence the low ish food score. Friendly staff.

This is a real rip off!!! I'm so angry!! There was no Aperol Spritz in the drinks menu. I asked the waiter if they had one. He told me, yes! We'll make you an Aperol Spritz. The Aperol was only mixed with water, without Prosecco. And with lots of water! When I saw the bill, the Aperol cost 13.50!!!! So incredibly cheeky! We later went to a very good cocktail club where the Aperol cost 7.60 and was really mixed. I am extremely angry. Why do people make a business of screwing other people over?

We came to the restaurant in a group of 5 men with a lot of steam. After a few steps we were already in the hall. Breathtaking atmosphere, impressive decor, and an amazing view of Cologne's Central Mosque (cathedral). After arriving we were shown to a seat by the waitress after some communication problems. And after looking at the menu, I ordered a portion of rice with mixed meat and vegetables. The result was disappointing, one could even say pathetic. For 20 euros (rice + drink for 4 euros) this visit was definitely not worth it. If you're hungry and would like to leave with 20-30 euros less in your pocket and not satisfied hunger, this is the right place for you. Not again.

Traditional Chinese restaurant with no frills. The plumbing is functional but could do with an overhaul; However, this does not affect the quality of the stay. The view of the cathedral is unsurpassable.

The facility is getting old. There is a great view of the cathedral from the first floor. The service was friendly and the Peking duck menu was delicious. Price and performance were absolutely fine.

I think the waitress doesn't really understand what you're saying. We had different waitresses. At the beginning I asked a waitress if we could share a menu for three. I didn't get a starter or dessert but in the end they charged me for three meals. I'm sorry if a condition is treated poorly. But that was kind of a rip-off. Instead of 45 euros plus drinks, we ended up with a total of 90 euros. I think that's a little excessive for an extra plate without a lot of extra effort.

I ordered vegetables with glass noodles. Mixed vegetables came without glass noodles. When I complained about this, the employee poked my vegetables with chopsticks and claimed the bean sprouts were glass noodles. When I spoke to another employee, he wanted to ask in the kitchen and didn't come back. Since I was hungry, I finally ate the vegetables. And what was on the bill later: mixed vegetables! The Peking Restaurant is a real recommendation! We had the duck with peanut sauce, wonton soup and spring rolls - everything was absolutely delicious and freshly made. The taste was excellent and the price-performance ratio is really great. Although some employees don't speak perfect German, communication was absolutely no problem. The service was super friendly and the food was served incredibly quickly. Particularly worth mentioning is the beautiful view of the cathedral, which makes the dining experience even more special. A great restaurant that we can definitely recommend!

This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but is difficult to access. Strollers and older people have a hard time with the stairs here. The reception was nice but the service was mediocre. We got two orders wrong, the food didn't really taste good and the presentation of the food was chaotic. 26 Dec 2024- Lunch for two : 27€ Egg drop chicken soup - Was watery, more like clear soup. Fried rice with egg and chicken - average Prawn cracker - they served it at the end after we reminded them that we ordered that as well. Staff : Do not communicate in English. Lady staffs are very cold. While billing they informed that it will be additional 3€ more than the bill if paid by card, so we opted for cash and never got the change back. Definitely wouldn't recommend it for Non-Chinese diners.

Not recommended for Chinese tourists, you don’t feel respected... Just look at the store’s reply and you will know, irritable, impatient, yin and yang, unless you can speak fluent German

After we placed the order and waited for 2 peking suppe, 1 fried wantan, 1 beef with black bean sauce and roasted pork belly and waited for 30 mins nothing arrived. We had to chase 2 different female waiters for our food because other tables already had their main order and we didn’t even have our 2 peking suppe. They kept saying 2 more mins and we had to ask them again and finally 2 soups arrived and after 10 mins another fried wantan and 2 main dishes I mentioned above. But they did not bring any plates nor rice for us. We waited because we thought they will bring the plates and rice for us but nothing after 10 mins. We asked again and they brought 1 plate first and another 2 plates and rice. Total time spent at the restaurant 2 hours. Eating time 20 mins max and waiting time was 1 h 40mins. For food taste, peking suppe is reasonably ok, but the beef with black bean sauce was very salty, the roasted pork belly were dry.

I can't recommend the restaurant more! The food is delicious, but right after eating I got a stomach ache and had to throw the food out very quickly. Not cool... The staff is ok. The ambience could be modernized a bit, a bit outdated. The toilets don't smell good, like cat pee: please do something here so that you can feel better. The most pleasant thing was the champagne at the end. We were pleasantly surprised. 2 stars just for that reason. But very much in need of improvement!

Well where to begin, it took more than 20 minutes before someone came to take our drinks order, our food took another 50 minutes to arrive, way over priced for the portion size for the duck pancakes. The rice noodles were clearly not rice noodles and I have allergies. No plates or cutlery given until 10 minutes after our food had arrived only because my husband had to go and ask. All during this time a few tables arrived and left as they had not been served. The food was cold. Just overall not a good experience in any aspect of dining out.

Unfortunately, they rip you off, try to write down more, and give the change incorrectly.

I really can't understand all the good reviews here. There were three of us there and no one really enjoyed it. The meat was too tough and the taste of the rest wasn't convincing either. There are definitely better Chinese restaurants in Cologne. When it comes to serving you, you have to be lucky as to who you get. One of three we had that evening was good. One waitress forgot our drinks so we had to order again later and the other one unfortunately couldn't speak any German.

Yummy Peking duck but…. Edit. Dropped 5 to 2 stars. Came again and they served us sauceless, pineappleless - sweet sour pineapple chicken I showed her video of chicken from a few months ago and she insist is same. Crazy. Where sauce where ananas why is there chilli. The reliable old waiter confirmed it’s different dish Not worth the hassle
