Chang Long in Köln

Unfortunately, I didn't like it... The service at the restaurant was poor... The food wasn't replenished well and didn't look appealing. It tasted okay, but not good enough for me to come back.

Delicious buffet, good value for money.

Chang Long is neither incredibly authentic nor particularly hip or modern. But for what it is—a classic Chinese restaurant with a Western twist—it's practically perfect. - The atmosphere is wonderful: everything golden, pleasant lighting, Asian music, somewhat nostalgic. - The service, the waitress, and the chef are truly lovely. Incredibly warm people. - The food: pretty standard fare, lots of fried food, lots of meat. But most of it seemed pretty good for the price. Overall, very fair. Please stay as you are, except for a few more fresh options at the buffet.

The food at the buffet is always freshly prepared and of very good quality. Very cozy atmosphere :) Good value for money. The all-you-can-eat option is definitely worth it!

Delicious food, clean and very friendly service.

A lovely little restaurant with exceptionally friendly service. It's also really clean. What we also liked is that when we were there, the buffet wasn't filled in bulk, but rather in small, fresh portions. A perfect solution to prevent food waste. We're from Hesse and were spontaneously looking for a place to have dinner near our hotel. We'd love to come back here on our next trip to Cologne. 🙂

I like it because it reminds me of my childhood. The boss and his wife are absolutely lovely people.

For me, the best all-you-can-eat in Cologne. We go there regularly, the food is always fresh, warm, and delicious. The price is really fair: €12.90 per week is a great price. The waitress is always super sweet and friendly. It always tastes delicious, I've never had any problems afterward. Highly recommended

Ordered food for pickup I called, placed my order, received a friendly confirmation, and then I was ready to go. While I was on my way for the 8 minutes, two main courses and six mini spring rolls were prepared. The order was handed to me in a clean restaurant, and we enjoyed it. The portions were huge, so we couldn't finish the last 15-20%. Conclusion: Always happy to come back, and good value for money.

Ordered from Too Good Too Go; the food was thrown together carelessly. I didn't even eat meat, as I was told, and we politely asked for a refund. I was then kicked out and told to just give the food to a homeless person… of course, they didn't give me a refund!

The two of us were here on a public holiday, moderately busy around 7 p.m., we got a table straight away, very nice and friendly service, rustic Chinese ambience, clean appearance. There is ONLY a buffet (18.90 €), no food from the menu (but we were aware of that), buffet selection was average, some dishes had probably been sitting for a while, the sauce was already forming skin, just like the sauces, didn't look that appetizing, and the cards/sheets where the dishes on the buffet are written on them were very worn and dirty and should be replaced. The dishes we tried were tasty and warm, sushi was also tasty but sold out quickly. We were disappointed with the dessert offer, 4 types of ice cream, a bit of fruit, jelly, that was it 🧐.

Highly recommended. Food very tasty, service very friendly. Ambience typical. There is only a buffet but with sushi and it is always filled up very quickly.

I can't understand the good reviews. The food is not very tasty and the fried rice (which was barely fried) only had a handful of mung bean sprouts. I will never eat here again.

It's a shame that there is a menu, but you can't order from it. So you have to choose the buffet whether you want it or not. The restaurant is small, so was the buffet. Nothing special in terms of taste. There are better Chinese restaurants there.

Nice, small restaurant with a family atmosphere. Delicious food and the buffet was still plentiful even in the evening at 7:30 p.m.

Small buffet but tasty. Inexpensive, friendly, attentive.

In the store itself there is only all you can eat. For about 16 euros, drinks cost extra. There is a lot of meat but also a small selection of sushi ice cream honey banne as well as classics such as 8 delicacies and fried rice. If you still want something for your money, this is a great place to go. You can pre-order items from the menu and then take them with you.

Really bad, the food comes really late, the rice is dry, the buffet is partly empty and is refilled really late. Worst experience I've ever had, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It was ok for a quick hunger. Personally, I'm not a fan of buffets, unfortunately it's no longer possible to order at the table in the evening. But the price-performance ratio is certainly great.

I go there every Monday, the beer always tastes great and is filling. Only the furniture needs to be replaced!!

For my taste, this Chinese restaurant has the best Peking soup in all of Cologne. The buffet is varied and has something for every taste. The staff is courteous and very hardworking. The only downside I see is the stained and dirty upholstery. They urgently needed cleaning.

Wir waren heute spontan im Chang Long essen. Vor der Bestellung fragte ich die Bedienung ob ich das Kinderbuffet wählen könne da ich einen Schlauchmagen habe und darüber einen ärztlichen Pass verfüge. Dies wurde freundlich verneint. Kein Problem, dann nahm ich eine Suppe. Mein Mann entschied sich für das Buffet. Anfangs fühlten wir uns auch sehr wohl und meinem Mann schmeckte es gut. Im Laufe des Abends bot mir mein Mann 3 Garnelen und 1 Litschi zum Probieren an. Plötzlich meinte die Bedienung laut aus 5 m Entfernung, das ich die "ganze" Zeit vom Teller meines Mannes mit essen würde. Laut und deutlich für alle übrigen Gäste zu verstehen. So ein Verhalten ist unterste Schublade. Ich habe die Bedienung daraufhin an unseren Tisch gebeten und ihr den vollen Preis für das Buffet auf den Tisch gelegt und ihr gesagt, das dies für die 3 Garnelen und die 1 Litschi sei. Außerdem habe ich ihr gesagt, das sie zu uns an den Tisch hätte kommen müssen und mich diskret darauf hinweisen können, das Probieren nicht erwünscht wäre. Ich bin immer noch entsetzt und werde dieses Lokal nie wieder betreten und jedem den ich kenne von einem dortigen Besuch abraten!

Ich mags einfach. Wenig vegetarisches Sushi oder warmes. Aber trotzdem sehr schön. Schmeckt frisch und ist lecker.

Wir waren zu 2. und haben das Buffet gewählt. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Zu erwähnen ist, dass dieser von einer einzigen Person getätigt wird. Leere Platten werden sofort nachgefüllt. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist ausreichend. Das Gemüse ist knackfrisch und auf den Punkt gegart. Preis/Leistung optimal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Positiv: man konnte es essen, mir wurde nicht schlecht davon, man war danach satt Negativ: der Laden ist total abgeranzt, schmuddelige und beschädigte Polster, das Buffet überschaubar und langweilig, die Eistruhen wirkten nicht wirklich hygienisch. Ich habe mich nicht wirklich wohl gefühlt, es wirkte alles sehr lieblos hingeklatscht, insgesamt schmuddelig. Da muss ich nicht nochmal hin.

Die Ambiente ist authentisch, es lief sogar ein chinesischer Liebessong im Lounge-Musik Style. Alles in Allem zu empfehlen, einziger Minuspunkt: keine Kreditkarte akzeptiert

Wir waren gegen Schluss dabei. Trotdem gab es ausreichend Essen da. Die Inhaberin hat netteweise angeboten, dass wir mehr anfordern können wenn kein Essen da ist. Nur eine Empfehlung: Es gibt nicht genug grüne Salat, Ruccola oder ähnliches. Insgesamt war lecker.

Service & Ambiente waren super. Das Essen war jedoch alles andere als lecker. Wir hatten leider die Vermutung das es schon sehr lange gelegen haben muss. Schade wenn man fürs Buffet mehr als 30€ bezahlt und sein Essen nicht anrühren will.

Auch das Sushi ist sehr lecker, das Eis ist qualitativ super und zum ersten mal ein Buffet mit echtem Honig - sonst ist er überall mit Wasser gelängt. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Für mich das beste chinesische Restaurant in Köln! Update: war ein halbes dutzend mal da und es wurde von mal zu mal schlechter. Schade

Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Buffet für 16 Euro unschlagbar,mit Krabben,Sushi etc. Wenn man woanders per Karte bestellt hat man das schon oft pro Teller. Die Getränke sind vergleichbar sehr günstig. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Es gibt noch Familienbetriebe, wie schön. ( 2 Personen,heftig großes Lob )

Buffet war nichts besonderes und hat auch nicht überragend geschmeckt. Der Preis von 16€ hat sich nicht gelohnt. Alles kam einem abgestanden und alt vor.

Das Essen war sehr lecker...leider haben wir beide 4 Tage später immer noch Magen-Darm Probleme. Wenn man viel und schnell abnehmen möchte, kann ich dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen ;)

Super zufrieden! Haben uns zum Abend Essen abholt. Dieses hatten wir 20min vorher telefonisch bestellt und konnten es direkt abholen. Das Personal war mega freundlich. Das Essen eine große Portion und das wichtigste: Es war sehr lecker! Sehr zu empfehlen!!!
