Chin Burger 秦堡 in Köln

The four of us went out for dinner on New Year's Eve and loved it! We're all vegetarian, and that was no problem at all. We ordered the vegetarian platter for two as a starter. It was great and interesting to try so many different things. The tofu burger was wonderfully seasoned, and I had the Nutty noodles, which were really delicious and very filling. All the main course portions were tasty and very generous. The prices were fair and actually quite reasonable. My noodles cost just under €10. In short: We'll be back!

The food was very good, except for the burger, which was too bland. The restaurant itself was very cold, and the restrooms weren't very clean. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed; one of the waitresses never knew which table to bring the drinks to. The food was placed on the table without a word and with a stony expression. The appetizer and main course arrived together.

The food quality is inconsistent; sometimes it tastes good, but lately it's been terrible. However, the nine-compartment platter looks more like a leftover platter.

This place is one of those Instagram-hyped spots, but it’s definitely worth a visit. I had a sandwich that was really tasty. I’ve never had anything like it before, so I can’t say whether it was made “perfectly,” but it was delicious anyway. You place your order on your phone, and the sandwich arrives quickly.

How did you manage to serve food for an hour when there were only a few people?

Unfortunately, it was very unpleasant: We arrived as a group of five, and the staff offered us a table for four. While there were tables for four plus two available, they weren't reserved, and guests before us had already pushed other four-plus-two tables together. We politely asked, but were refused, leaving us with only half our backsides to sit. For the main course, I ordered "羊肉泡馍" (a type of savory soup) and specifically added "口汤" (a type of sweet soup), but this was completely ignored, and "宽汤" (a type of sweet soup) was served instead. Furthermore, the soup was very heavily spiced and full of MSG – apparently, they don't skimp on it. For dessert, I ordered "甑糕" (a type of rice pudding), but seriously? I don't understand why it had colorful sprinkles on it. It was also served in a kind of rice pudding, which is very unusual. Throughout the entire time, one of the waiters was unfortunately very unfriendly and clearly gave the impression of not wanting to be there. Absolutely delicious! Despite the fully digital ordering process, not everything arrived, and we only received it after asking twice. However, they apologized, so we are completely satisfied overall.

Unfortunately, the food doesn't arrive at the table at the same time. Empty plates aren't cleared away in between orders. The woman behind the counter also seemed to be having a bad day. The restaurant's style is very nice. However, upon closer inspection, you can see some poor workmanship on the walls. The restrooms have only been superficially renovated and could have been cleaner.

I ordered a bowl of mutton stew with bread, full of anticipation, but when it arrived, I was dumbfounded. Where was the bread? Where were the vermicelli? I asked if I could pay extra for more bread, but was told no, I had to order a new one.

The taste is relatively authentic. It might be a bit too spicy for foreigners, but it's still acceptable. The price is reasonable, even inexpensive. The Chinese-speaking waiters are excellent. Highly recommended. The lamb stew with bread would be even better with pickled garlic.

Authentic flavors in a beautiful setting! ChinBuger in Cologne serves genuinely delicious Chinese food at very reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is stylishly decorated with modern yet culturally rich Chinese elements. I’m especially fond of their roujiamo—so fragrant and satisfying—and their noodle soups are perfect for colder days. This has become my go-to spot in winter! The place is ok, I dont like its insta vibe too much though. Service was friendly and nice. But food was really disappointing. It is SOOOOOO greasy. The oil was dripping from the burger that was served with noodles that were swimmimg in chilly oil. The duck was greasy in a very greasy sauce. In other asian restaurants this was not my observation.

A carb lover's paradise! Beautifully decorated, instantly transporting you to Chang'an. Suddenly noticed the terracotta warrior at the entrance looks a lot like someone inside, except he's missing his glasses 🤓

The Lanzhou noodles were fake. The soup tasted like instant noodles, and the beef seemed like fast food. I ate a bowl of fake Lanzhou noodles that was just a patchwork of ingredients. 😂

The soup portion was rather large but packed with wheat noodles, not tender beef and extra 2€ for an egg felt overall overpriced and justified but quantity rather than quality. Also difficulty to pay by phone and card so had to pay by cash.

I'm very happy with my Chinese food. This Chinese food was really delicious. I was here for the first time today. Ordering is preferably done digitally via QR code on your mobile phone. Everything is very modern and nicely decorated. I really like the modern ordering system. The only downside is that payment by credit card doesn't seem to be possible. It would be nice if this were offered in the future, in addition to debit card payments. I'm very happy!

I used to order from here regularly, but today will definitely be the last time! I ordered the Sizzle Chili Hand Pulled Noodles with extra ground pork, but there was no sign of the crispy chili oil anywhere, and the food arrived ice cold. The worst part, however, was the supposed "ground pork"... it was anything but ground pork. It was mostly fat with skin and pig bristles still attached, and a few bits of leftover meat. It felt like they'd used leftover pork from the kitchen in our food; we completely lost our appetite. :(

I would have loved to give a 5-star rating – the ambiance is truly lovely, and the dish, which was correctly ordered, tasted excellent. Unfortunately, I felt that the service was focused on entirely different things that evening. I placed a simple to-go order: two appetizers and a main course. Just taking the order took about 15 minutes. I was initially seated at a table – I wasn't entirely sure why, since I only wanted to take something away. It quickly became apparent, however, that everyone's attention was focused on the next table, where a guest had been given a ridiculously large bowl of noodle soup for a 15-minute challenge. Three cell phones were recording the whole thing, and everything was being commented on and celebrated. The point of such stunts is debatable – to me, it was simply distracting, and the fact that a large portion of the soup probably ended up in the trash didn't improve the impression. Because, unsurprisingly, he couldn't possibly finish the 3 kg of noodles, meat, and vegetables. During this entire time, it felt like absolutely nothing else happened. My food took about 35 minutes to arrive. I paid almost €38 and even left a tip. The real disappointment came when I got home: The dumplings were cold – apparently they'd been prepared long ago and cooled down unnoticed in the bag during the challenge. The cucumber salad was completely missing. Instead, I found a large bowl of dry pasta. The main course tasted really good, but it was also cold – and I live just 200 meters away. So the journey home couldn't have played a role. My conclusion: Please focus on the customers who actually want to order and eat at your restaurant, instead of following questionable internet trends. It's a shame, because the restaurant really had the potential for a top rating.

The vegan selection is very limited but viable. Enjoyed the crispy tofu burgers with tasty tofu inside and really liked the tofu stripes salad with coriander as well. The gan mian pi noodle dish was good, but not too special. The nutty biang biang were disappointing with very mild and watery sauce and bland tofu, carrots and potato pieces as a topping. There are also no condiments like chili oil or vinegar on the table to improve the seasoning. The service was friendly but very slow with our dishes arriving in 5-10 minute intervals apart from each other and we had to ask if the biang biang are still coming because we were unsure if it takes so long or they forgot about it - customers on a table next to us also inquired about a dish they were expecting. Was nice to try the food here once though

Excellent burgers and other incredibly delicious dishes, a simple and very efficient ordering system via smartphone/web app, child-friendly, and you can watch the noodle chefs at work through large windows, which the little ones really enjoyed. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Food was amazing, though I think the girl who does the drinks is still new as she forgot my order and also other people's drink order. Only after going up to her and telling her I ordered a drink did I get it, unfortunately was already done with my food at that time. But that's okay she's still learning! Love the atmosphere. Newly opened with a beautifully decorated interior that’s super inviting and cozy. Reservation is recommended though, it was packed when we went, and they give you just two hours per table to keep things moving. Ordering was an easy via QR code scanning! The Chin Burger stole the show and such a steal at that price point. We also tried the dumplings and pulled noodles. Service was quick and friendly, too. The Chinese food scene in Köln is blowing up with tons of varieties and some seriously beautiful new spots like this one. Portions were generous enough.

A restaurant serving Chinese cuisine from Xi'an, such as liang pi, biang biang, their signature roujiamo sandwich, and more. The restaurant is large, with outdoor seating available. I tried several dishes, all beautifully presented, including some mentioned above. They were good, but average, nothing that wowed me. The service was a bit haphazard but efficient. The price was average!

majiang liangpi is so freaking good！wish the Roujiamo is a bit warmer tho…

I recommend Roujiamo. I also recommend Liangpi. Their Riesling is a special drink and I recommend it. You can also try the cocktails here. I was moved by the familiarity of the first sip. I asked if it was made with Chinese liquor (Xifeng Liquor). It's worth trying. I like the wide noodles here, which are in the Shaanxi style.

We had an excellent experience at Chin Burger. The hand-pulled noodles are delicious, but our highlight was undoubtedly the Chin Burger with pork and green peppers, as well as the truly sensational cucumber salad. I can't get the crusty batter out of the burger, especially. I can also recommend the dumplings, which had a delicious topping. Chin Burger is also great value for money. Ordering is done via the app, where you can conveniently choose your own menu items and have an "avatar" for each person for your table number. Payments can be made in cash or by card.

The cold noodles and roujiamo are highly recommended, and the wine is also delicious.

This is an authentic Shaanxi noodle restaurant. The chef is also from Shaanxi. They have good mutton and cold noodles. They also have stewed noodles. If you like noodles, you can try it.

The ramen was not cooked long enough and the braised beef had a bit of a stinky smell. The oil-splashed noodles are completely different from last month, and the portion is much smaller!

The food is very tasty and authentic. The ambiance isn't really my thing, but ultimately it's a matter of opinion. Just don't order delivery; eat in is better. There's a huge difference. The hand-pulled noodles, for example, aren't suitable for delivery because they stick together due to the starch. Furthermore, the dishes I ordered (which were supposed to be warm) were unfortunately completely cold.

A very authentic noodle restaurant with fresh, hand-pulled noodles, the preparation of which you can even watch right at the entrance. This is something very special, and the seasoning of the dishes also stands out from other restaurants, as they also use a lot of herbs and the noodles have a truly delicious bite. Food 7.2/10 – A good restaurant offering some good dishes.

As a Chinese who wants to taste the flavor of home, this restaurant is not worth going to for two reasons: 1. The noodles as thick as chopsticks in the picture are thin. I don’t know where the thickness and thinness are determined, but it is not Lanzhou beef noodles. 2. The spiced beef is very loose. The store owner explained that it is to cater to the taste of Germans, who don’t eat shank meat. This is the only restaurant we have eaten in Germany. No matter whether the taste of other restaurants is good or not (in fact, they are all delicious), at least the beef as a cold dish is tight, while this is the looseness of German stewed beef, and the seasoning is not good. But to be honest, the attitude of the aunt at the door has always been very good.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The service is fast and efficient, and the menu is extensive. The place is well kept (except for the bathroom, which is disgusting). We ordered a burger to share as a starter and it was a bit strange, the taste was pleasant but the texture and heaviness were meh. Then the noodle bowls, they have particular flavors, really out of the ordinary, which in some cases were delicious and in others not so much.... It is not a place I would return to with enthusiasm.

The food portion is sufficient, but the ramen was very thick and inexperienced. the service environment is poor. Firstly, the employees are always talking and chatting loudly! Secondly, the hallways, especially the toilets, are not very clean!

Very tasty and authentic food. Freshly homemade, traditional noodles! Best Chinese ramen in town. The traditional "Chin Burger" - similar to a kebab - is also a must-try. My family had two delicious dishes but it was not up to the domestic level and the price was outrageous, so I gave it 4 nemesis. 3 people ate three bowls of beef noodles, one roujiamo, one bowl of cold skin and one fried belly. Actually really authentic food and one of the best - if not the best - 肉夹馍 (Chinese burger) I’ve had outside of China. Prices are a little steep IMO and I think the Lanzhou noodles should come with meat or beef at least in the standard version. But portions are generous and staff are friendly! Would recommend for some comfort Shaanxi Food!

朋友从香港过来，香港上菜比较快，而且我们真的是赶火车，她第一次进欧洲馆子急性子还只点了个醪糟，两分钟没上就开始催老板，老板生气我也理解。 虽然没喝上醪糟，可乐也没喝完，总计消费三块二就被赶出来，但还是给个五星。纯粹是因为老板那句“醪糟不做了我们不做了”的气势，和我们高中班主任“爱学学不学滚”的气势如出一辙，觉得好笑。没吃到陕味，但体会到了陕味，也算是帮我们两个老陕怀旧了一番。
