Fancy decoration, impeccable service with very kind waiters/waitresses, good food, a little overpriced, but that is Munich in a fashionable place :)

Very good food, service friendly but not very attentive

After several visits, we have found that all the waitresses are always very polite, attentive and courteous. The food can be enjoyed in a pleasant atmosphere. No matter how we chose our starters, main courses or desserts, they were always fresh, very tasty, perfectly cooked and also beautifully presented and decorated. There was always something appealing for every taste (meat, seafood, vegetarian) and food intolerances were always taken into account. The nearby parking garage, three minutes away, also offers the option of arriving there by car. However, the connection to local public transport (bus, tram, subway and S-Bahn) is also easily possible within a maximum of five minutes.

The food was served too slowly. After sitting for more than 45 minutes, the food was still not served.

Very nice Thai food in central Munich. The service staff was very helpful and accommodative; we walked in on a Sat evening when the restaurant was packed and they were able to find a table for us. The food was really sumptuous.

Dinner at YUM this evening like every time we come to Munich. Very professional service and gastronomic level, magnificent very chic decor and studied lighting. The Thai chicken skewers and papaya salad were succulent, Pad Thai and Chicken Curry a treat and very well served. Beautiful evening as always

A stylish ambience that immediately impresses, combined with an exceptionally spicy 🌶🌶🌶 and good gastronomy - simply perfect! The wine selection is excellent and the food is a real highlight. Creative cuisine at the highest level is offered here. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for something special!

The atmosphere is very nice. There is a lot of scent in the restaurant, so for those who are very sensitive, be a bit aware. Was greeted with a lovely welcome upon my arrival for a spontaneous dinner! When seated, we were provided with a cup of lovely warm tea and hot towels. Such a lovely touch! The service was really nice, they were attentive and provided with excellent recommendations filled with humour. The food was filled with taste, a little more on the pricier side, but definitely worth every cent! The only negative, and i know that this is a cultural thing, we were not provided with complimentary water. I know that this is uncommon most parts of germany, but every restaurant at home offers this service. Apart from that, i would definitely return to have a lovely meal! Hands down, excellent!

Yum is just a great place. The food is really excellent, fresh crunchy vegetables, perfectly prepared meat and a great taste experience. The spiciness of the dishes is well adapted to European conditions. The service is courteous and very attentive and can provide competent assistance with expense selection. A totally good experience!

There Thai food was good, I went there two time in my 4 night stay in Munich. They were friendly and service was fast. Highly recommended in the Altstadt area.

I was very satisfied at YUM, there's a wide choice of dishes with fresh and high quality ungredients. Service is extraordinarily accurate. Atmosphere is very intimate. Nevertheless definitely too expensive for what we ate, despite great service and ambience.

Very, very good cuisine and good portions. Was there for the first time eating/18. Birthday party and it tasted very good. The birthday child received a small, special table fireworks display. Now we were celebrating our birthday there for the second time. Reservations recommended for several people, it is very well attended.

They welcome you with a tea, hot towel and always with smile. I ordered Wok number 9 and was very delicious. Prices are affordable for that level of service.

I ate the green curry with tofu, it was really delicious. The ambience and service are also great. In terms of price, the restaurant is rather upmarket, but this is of course also due to the central location.

YUM is our favorite Thai. As always, it was a pleasure and a delight for us. This time was particularly special because we were able to combine the delicacies with completely new memories immediately after our Thailand vacation.

Delicious food and very warm service. We dined on a busy night, without reservations, but the host still greeted us with a smile and helped us secure two seats at the bar top.

Yum - The definition of style over substance. Expensive bland curry. Tables too close together, be careful on your way out not to bump anyone. The Woman on the next table looked pretty upset, was it the food or was she being dumped? Who knows. If you want value for money they keep the table lights in the entrance….Mind you we had fun on the way home laughing about how ridiculous it was.

We had a very nice evening with extremely delicious food and very good service in an attractive atmosphere. (We only skipped the mineral water at €8. Why does it always have to be so outrageously expensive in German restaurants?)

The best authentic Thai food in Munich

Overpriced dinning for what it really offers, it’s not any better than many half the price restaurants in town. Quite disappointed with the massaman curry, lacked spirit. Overall the place looks nice and the kitchen runs fast, it’s a well organized business. Not much space between tables.

Came with high expectations given the reviews of others but was very disappointed. Food was overpriced (eg. 6 tiny spring rolls for €12), and most dishes we ordered were way too salty/sweet (pad see eew, pad thai and red curry). Service was also very limited - at some point the waiter decided to take away two of our tea cups (?) without reason, and when we asked for more tea only one cup (of 5) was refilled. Tables were also too closely spaced with each other, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience.

Service and ambience were great, the food was better but still good. Prices are high, and so is the audience

I love Thai cuisine! YUM really served an excellent green curry. There was also tea and a warm washcloth to freshen up beforehand. I'll definitely come back

Good location, very nice atmosphere inside. Food tasty, not great but good, with lots of vegetarian options. Unfortunately the price is at the top end for what is on offer. Service at reception was good, we were ignored for the rest of the evening. That didn't bother us, so we had peace and quiet :)

We were in this restaurant 2 years ago and loved it back then. 5*+ without question. This time it was different. The restaurant is still very nice. The prices are still relatively high. The service was unfriendly and demotivated. This is such a shame and spoils the whole experience. Food is very tasty, but being served without emotion and emotion by a person who would probably be better off in another job is not worth the high prices to me. We will switch to alternatives on our next visit to Munich. I recommend every other guest to do the same.

The food is really excellent, very good I would even say. On the other hand, I took away a star because the staff was not at all friendly. At the end of the meal, I thanked the waiter because it was really good, he looked me straight in the eyes and then left.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The starters were really good, setting high expectations for the meal. However, the duck was disappointing—it was extremely dry and lacked any sauce, accompanied only by a few slices of mango and some nuts. This was particularly frustrating because I've had the duck here before and it was always amazing, so perhaps a different chef was on duty today. On a positive note, the red curry with prawns was delicious and packed with flavor. Overall, the inconsistency was a letdown, especially considering my previous positive experiences here. I hope this was just an off day, but I left feeling quite disappointed.rs were lovely

YUM is a great restaurant that I visited during my stay in Munich. The food was really tasty and of good quality. In particular, the duck I chose was not comparable to what you would find in Asian fast food restaurants. The great ambience, the welcome tea and the refreshing towels before the meal began contributed to the very good overall impression. It's a shame that I can't visit the restaurant more often because I don't live in Munich.

Was here several years ago and the quality of the food and the service staff is still excellent. The food is pricey but tastes very good and is freshly prepared. The service is impressive and you feel like something special because there is a cold towel to freshen up with that smells of ginger and herbs which is very refreshing after a hot day 5*

Found this Thai restaurant on the last evening of our vacation in Munich. Absolute dream🙏🏻 The furnishings are well maintained and super comfortable, the service is perfect. To start with a fine Thai tea, then the lemongrass refreshing towels. The food is a dream. One of the best Thai we have visited so far in Europe… If you are in Munich, definitely visit this restaurant. I would like to give 10 stars. Kop un Khap 🙏🏻 Keep it up👍

Delicious delicious delicious curry! We loved both of them and it was very nice. The prawn and vegetables tempura was disappointing with only 3 small shrimps and lots of veggies - for that price it was not up to expectations. But overall a great dinner! Attentive service :)

The name of this place is incredibly misleading. The restaurant should be called medicore at best. Service was not great .. food was average at best. For the extremely high price I paid for a curry it should have been way better .. give this place a pass - not worth it.

The food is very delicious and deserves a high rating. The young man at the reception was nice and helped us choose the dishes, but the service was slow and they made mistakes with the dishes among the customers, and the service provider for outdoor seating was bad in dealing with it, and this made me dissatisfied with the restaurant.

No wonder that YUM has been a popular Thai restaurant in Munich for years. The food, although traditional, is very tasty and of high quality. The restaurant has a rather dark design, with black walls and tables lit by hanging lamps. This lighting, together with the subtle decoration, creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent. The prices are in the mid to high range, but the value for money was very good for me. Gladly again!

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. It gives a romantic and elegant vibe. The food and the staff are also very friendly. The Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and the duck are good, but the Tom Yam Goong can be improved.

We’ve eaten Thai in many countries including Thailand several times. The quality of food at Yum rivals all of them. The green curry was fantastic. Kids loved the chicken satay. Definitely make a reservation as it was busy

Authentic Thai food we had while in Germany. We ordered Tom Yum Gung, Tom Yum Fried Rice, Yellow Coconut Curry & Green Coconut Curry. Price is on the high side but ingredients are fresh & portion is big. We enjoyed the food and savoured every mouthful of it! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Great service, first class food as always! My absolute favorite Thai

The food was average at best, with one dish being okay, my girlfriend’s really not great (definitely not tasty/ almost no spices). The lemongrass tea was some herbal tea scooped from a big container like with a big soup ladle, a bit like tea in a youth hostel. Prices simply too high for what you get. Though the service was polite, It felt a bit like a tourist trap and I wouldn’t go there again.

Restaurant highly recommended. Stands out for exceptional service. For example, you are served tea straight away and a warm towel to wipe your hands. The food was also very tasty. I will gladly come again!

As always, a very nice evening. Very friendly and courteous service, which started at reception. We had excellent spring rolls, yellow and red curry and, for dessert, baked lychees with ice cream. This is one of my favourite places to bring guests when they come to Munich. The food is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is perfect for friend or family catch ups, and the service is usually very quick & attentive. For the quality of the food, I find it very reasonably priced.

Great food, really great, I had fried rice with chicken, peppers, tomatoes (n4) and it was really great. And the d2 dessert was perfect. Fine fresh tropical fruit, along with ice cream and something like a leafy one with banana in honey. Just praise for the service and everything.

There's a really nice atmosphere inside, the service is very attentive and there's a really large selection of vegetarian dishes too. The food was delicious and really fresh, the wine was also good.

Food is always great, service is wonderful, customer is king here! Unfortunately there is no nice outdoor area, but there's nothing you can do about it... We always enjoy coming back when we are in Munich.
