YUM thai kitchen & bar in München

I was there spontaneously today and was able to make an easy online reservation on the website shortly beforehand. The food, the service - everything was just perfect!

Great place to eat authentic Thai cuisine in Munich!

Exceptional cuisine – quite possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever had! I ordered the soft-shell crab with curry, and it was absolutely delicious – delicately prepared, full of flavor, and so irresistible that I couldn’t stop eating, even though I was already full. The service was just as impressive. We were welcomed with a complimentary tea as soon as we sat down, even before placing our order, followed by hot towels to refresh our hands – a thoughtful touch. Despite the restaurant being full, our food arrived incredibly fast, and throughout the meal, I truly felt like a valued guest. If I’m ever in Munich again, I’ll definitely return.

Food very good & friendly service

We ordered three patai - the first two were served without tofu. When the third guest arrived, we ordered another patai, which was significantly better prepared and presented. The noodles weren't stuck together in a lump, and this third patai was even served with tofu, unlike the first two. It was presented in a much more professional manner, despite all three dishes being ordered at the same table.

A somewhat crowded restaurant, the seating between the tables is very crowded. The service is not the best, you often have to look for the waiter. The food is excellent, the place is pleasant overall.

You can find a special highlight of Thai cuisine here! Top service, you feel very well looked after. And the food is very good, authentic, wonderfully prepared and absolutely delicious. The location invites you to forget about everyday life and enjoy it.

We ate really well, the ambience and the extremely attentive staff are also worth praise. Only the price was a bit high.

On April 5th Rami was at Yum with 10 people for a men's evening. Excellent food, everyone was more than full, service for which 5 stars is not enough, all in all a wonderful evening. We will definitely come back.

Nice restaurant with a modern, Asian feel. The food is good (European Thai cuisine), but not outstanding. You pay more for the location than for the products, but that's okay. is if you want to treat yourself to an atmospheric evening in the heart of Munich. The service leaves nothing to be desired. Little gimmicks like free basil tea or the damp towel before eating create an additional atmosphere.

The food was very good with great presentation. Portions were a little small. As the restaurant filled up service slowed down.

Reminds me of mass processing and the management should definitely lift the tipping requirement again. I'm happy to tip appropriately, but I don't like to tip if the display shows 8, 10 or %.

We are regular visitors here. We love the authentic Thai food and ambience that this place offers. We have tried many dishes so far and have settled on their varieties of fried rice, which is a class apart from others. The staff is friendly and their service adds more points to the overall experience. parking is available nearby at Schrannenhalle. This is our go-to restaurant for authentic Thai food.

Excellent food, the ambiance was great and the waiters were very friendly and helpful (baby friendly). They gave warm towels before the meals The pad Thai, pa tad lum, Tom yum gung and all of the wok curries were fantastic and full of flavour! Overall great experience. We would highly recommend.

I am a vegetarian and have dietary restrictions. The vegetables are very hard, despite my request for more curry sauce, there were 90% hard vegetables and little sauce. The tofu was like bubble gum. For such nutritional specialties, the small snack stalls are easy to do. Unfortunately, the beautiful restaurant was hopelessly fully booked and quite cramped. Good luck.

I've rarely had such a lovely evening, there's really nothing that isn't right here! Even the owner is involved in the work and greets the guests - he occasionally asks at the table if everything is okay, etc., the best thing was when he came over with a box of different reading glasses while reading the menu - I haven't laughed so hard in a long time, - absolute recommendation!

Been there for the second time and definitely our favorite Thai restaurant. Great food, first class service - prices appropriate for the location - but it doesn't deserve any deductions. Went there a third time with the whole family - everyone was thrilled!

Dining at Yum is the next best thing to dining in Thailand: the beautiful and cozy interior with candles and fresh flowers, the tea and welcoming warm towels at arrival, and the fresh and flavourful menu. They are flexible in making dishes without fish sauce for vegetarians, which some other Asian restaurants won't do. This shows that Yum make every dish fresh on order and not sitting around pre-made.

Overpriced and flat flavors. The management doesn't pay attention. The dishes contained a sliver of lemongrass and a one and a half, thin slice of galangal. Too little fish sauce, too much sugar and (especially) too little curry paste resulted in a tasteless green curry for €25. Price/quality ratio very low. Exaggerated hype.

Fancy decoration, impeccable service with very kind waiters/waitresses, good food, a little overpriced, but that is Munich in a fashionable place :)

After several visits, we have found that all the waitresses are always very polite, attentive and courteous. The food can be enjoyed in a pleasant atmosphere. No matter how we chose our starters, main courses or desserts, they were always fresh, very tasty, perfectly cooked and also beautifully presented and decorated. There was always something appealing for every taste (meat, seafood, vegetarian) and food intolerances were always taken into account. The nearby parking garage, three minutes away, also offers the option of arriving there by car. However, the connection to local public transport (bus, tram, subway and S-Bahn) is also easily possible within a maximum of five minutes.

The food was served too slowly. After sitting for more than 45 minutes, the food was still not served.

Very nice Thai food in central Munich. The service staff was very helpful and accommodative; we walked in on a Sat evening when the restaurant was packed and they were able to find a table for us. The food was really sumptuous.

Dinner at YUM this evening like every time we come to Munich. Very professional service and gastronomic level, magnificent very chic decor and studied lighting. The Thai chicken skewers and papaya salad were succulent, Pad Thai and Chicken Curry a treat and very well served. Beautiful evening as always

The atmosphere is very nice. There is a lot of scent in the restaurant, so for those who are very sensitive, be a bit aware. Was greeted with a lovely welcome upon my arrival for a spontaneous dinner! When seated, we were provided with a cup of lovely warm tea and hot towels. Such a lovely touch! The service was really nice, they were attentive and provided with excellent recommendations filled with humour. The food was filled with taste, a little more on the pricier side, but definitely worth every cent! The only negative, and i know that this is a cultural thing, we were not provided with complimentary water. I know that this is uncommon most parts of germany, but every restaurant at home offers this service. Apart from that, i would definitely return to have a lovely meal! Hands down, excellent!

Yum is just a great place. The food is really excellent, fresh crunchy vegetables, perfectly prepared meat and a great taste experience. The spiciness of the dishes is well adapted to European conditions. The service is courteous and very attentive and can provide competent assistance with expense selection.
