A cozy, delicious restaurant. The staff is very friendly, and the food arrives quickly, deliciously, and hot at your table.

The appetizers were reminiscent of authentic Thai cuisine and were excellent. I can't say the same about the main courses. The duck was quite tough and rather bland in flavor, and the shrimp fried rice, despite being a bit off the beaten track in Thailand, could have been made much more exciting. Moreover, the portions were so large that we could still fill two meals a day the next day. Very generous of Spicery, but it's not necessary.

All in all, it's worth 5 stars! The food tastes delicious (authentic and even better than in Thailand 😄), is prepared quickly, and the service is excellent. The entire ambiance, both inside and outside, is lovingly decorated and very clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We'd love to come back!!!

The food was okay, but not suitable for small children. We ate there as a couple with a small child. The reservation went smoothly, and the staff was very friendly. We weren't offered a high chair. When we asked, they said: "We don't have any high chairs (why?!)." The appetizer was quite good, even though it was quite heavily fried. For my main course, I had the giant octopus, which turned out to be several small octopuses, which were unfortunately very tough, and the sauce didn't really impress me either.

Mega delicious and great service

Very nice ambiance. Great for date night. Lots of unique cocktails and extensive drinks menu. We had the fish soup which had fried fish, spicy chicken noodle was properly spicy and duck red curry was delicious. Only complaint was that it felt a bit warm.

Perfect as always – we've been coming to the Spicery for so many years and have never been disappointed. Always great service and top quality!

We had a very good meal and the atmosphere and service were great!

I definitely recommend the soft shell crab. It is crispy and the curry sauce is delicious!! The duck salad was much drier then I imagined, the green pepper beef had authentic spiciness (do respect the three chilli symbol though! It is very spicy). Strawberry mojito and coconut mojito were tasty but rather pricy.

We had a lovely evening yesterday outside on the terrace with wonderful food and friendly, attentive service! We'll be back!

Everything was very good. My only suggestion would be to allow modifications to the spice levels of the food so all the dishes on the menu could be enjoyed by everyone.

The food was amazing! We got green curry, and two noodle dishes and they were all phenomenal!!! The mocktails were great too, so nice to see them as people who don’t drink. All in all, I would definitely return to the restaurant!

I had a duck red curry, one weiss beer and one white wine. Taste of a duck red curry is quite nice and little bit sweet for me but just little bit. Service is professional and I didn’t have any frustration. I was thinking to visit again in next day even. But I endured to so in order to try the other restaurant, For sure I will visit again next time if I have a chance.

The ambiance could serve as a stylish filming location for a 70s James Bond film. Decent portions and a nice wine selection. The "Chiang Mai Bratwurst" is my personal highlight because you can't get it anywhere else except in Thailand itself 👍🏻😋 Only criticism: Thai curry in Thailand usually has a lot of sauce – almost like a soup. It tastes fantastic, but unfortunately, there's very little sauce here, and it's gone halfway through the plate 😅 It would also be cool to have an additional small daily menu with changing dishes, such as softshell crab and fried rice, laab, Panang curry, banana blossom salad, fish ball soup, or even red Thai curry with shrimp 🙏🏻

The ambiance and service are top-notch... but the food is overpriced. There are plenty of restaurants that serve comparably good food, but much cheaper! A starter at €12.90 and a non-alcoholic cocktail at €12.90 is excessive for me.

Excellent Thai restaurant. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and truly delicious food. We've been there several times and the food has always been excellent. I can recommend it without reservation.

For me, the Spicery is definitely a Pricery, meaning it's the most expensive Asian restaurant I've ever eaten at. As of 2025-05, appetizers cost 13 euros, starter soups cost 12 euros, salads the size of an appetizer cost 17 euros, no main course cost less than 20, etc. Nevertheless, I treated myself, and my companion and I were very satisfied with the food. The starter soups were delicious and, as promised, reminiscent of Thailand, and the main course was not lacking. While the dishes are almost exclusively meat and fish, some have vegetarian options upon request. According to the menu, the spices and spiciness are not altered in favor of maintaining the authenticity of the dishes. The tea was too bland for us; despite the promising blend, it only tasted of apple. I liked the dark atmosphere, and the service was impeccable. I would come back if someone I know wanted to, but I would opt for more familiar, cheaper, less meat-heavy, and just as delicious alternatives.

We visited your place with a group and ordered appetizers. Instead, we got two huge plates of fried food—why? If I want fried food, I go to a chip shop. Also, the food was way too spicy for me, making it inedible—but that was our own fault, as it said so on the menu. Nevertheless, we're giving it 5 stars because overall we had a lovely evening.

For me the best Thai in town. Fresh, friendly, spicy. Here two 🌶️🌶️ are really hot, but the aroma is right, the aftertaste keeps herbs and spices in your taste memory and in addition to the really delicious drinks, you have a satisfying mouthfeel for a long time, just like you know from Asia when it's good. It's better to have a good Thai meal here once than three times cheap (and that's how it tastes in comparison)

The Spicery definitely impresses with its really great and authentic ambience. The service was very friendly. The menu had all kinds of Thai specialties. The duck with curry tasted really excellent. I just missed traditional dishes like Pad Kra Pao or drinks like Thai iced tea with milk. That would have made the experience perfect. Overall, great restaurant and highly recommended.

Wolt order - not authentic Thai. Horrible spices, horrible meat… wrong salad - papaya instead of Isaan. Worst papaya salad in my whole life. Check out the laab! No real herbs and spices, just artificial and not fresh! 2 stars for flowers

Under no circumstances are the high prices justified. The summer rolls were a joke for €12.90. The spring rolls were frozen standard like any Asian snack bar. The duck tamarind was drowned in sweet/spicy chicken sauce. Overall the food was average and filled my stomach. It was also very nicely decorated. I'd rather spend 100€ for 2 people at ChiThu on 3x. No recommendation from me or us.

By far one of the best Asian restaurants in Munich! We got a place there very spontaneously last week. On site, the restaurant welcomes you with a super relaxed atmosphere, kept rather dark with darkened windows and dimmed lights. There are warm/wet towels to wash your hands/face upon entering the restaurant. Even though it was relatively full, it was possible to have a very relaxed conversation. There is a wide selection of good Asian food and drinks. The cocktails are particularly noteworthy! Extremely delicious. My dish was a large portion. The pasta, vegetables and duck were all very juicy and incredibly tasty. We'll definitely be back! LG Tim

We have often picked up food here and eaten there three times. The quality of the food is consistently good and absolutely high quality! Fresh vegetables, never overcooked, meat is always fantastic, and all dishes have a wonderful seasoning. The ambience on site is also very good, the waitresses are always friendly and accommodating. Once something was forgotten when placing an order for collection: noted as a “note” on the next order, and actually received a refund. We can 100% recommend the Spicery, even if it is of course not cheap here.

The Spicery is a very good Thai restaurant where the service is very friendly and the food is very good. The Spicery is located in the middle of Haidhausen on Weißenburger Platz, within walking distance of the Ostbahnhof.

Frankly, I didn't get much time to explore here. So, I could only order a starter, but my friends ordered the main course and everyone was happy with the quality and quantity. The service was nice. We reached around 6.50pm, and as expected, it was crowded as always. I'm glad that we booked in advance :) The cost was a bit on the higher side. When I went through the menu, I noticed that most of the main courses were more than 20€. Next time, I have to try those and see whether it was worth it for that cost. Chicken satay that I ordered was 12€ and got only 3 pieces. Well, that I think can be added as costly :D Need to plan again and check other items in detail :)

Do not order any of the duck dishes on the menu! Completely inedible, does not taste fresh, and the meat was so dry and stringy. One of the worst duck I've ever tasted in my life, and trust me I eat and have eaten a lot of duck in my lifetime. We informed the waitress about it, and the response from the manager was essentially "that's just how it is"... so clearly they acknowledge and know the duck tastes horrible and still choose to serve it like that to their customers! For a place that looks and feels higher end, with prices that reflect this (the dishes with duck are more expensive too), their customer service absolutely does not match. The manager did not even offer any sort of compromise or solution, e.g. offer to replace the duck with a different meat instead. It's really a shame because the other food (fresh rolls, pad thai, red curry sauce) tasted good, but after this experience I would never return here and would never recommend this place to anyone.

Communication by the owner has never been really pleasant, this time he was outright rude and arrogant,prohibiting us to come back anytime soon. This experience reduced atmosphere rating. Food was ok but not worth the charge. Service: we went to the server for trivial things like chop sticks. Our section of the restaurant appeared understaffed.

Overrated The food is ok, but completely overpriced. The service was neither attentive nor pleasant. You pay over three times as much but because of the tried-and-tested interior you get the same thing in a worse way than the street food competition in the same area? Munich, what's wrong with you that this store is so busy?

I am very interested in cuisine and am looking for authentic food. There are authentic Thai dishes for Thai food lovers here. Very good Abinante can enjoy with friends, family. I recommend all Thai food lovers to go there and enjoy it.

I was here for the first time today. A very nice, well-kept atmosphere and very friendly, professional service. I had duck red curry. The vegetables were perfect, unfortunately the duck was not. Very dry. Guess it wasn't freshly prepared but warmed up again. This made it very dry. It's a shame but maybe I was just unlucky.

The scent, ambience and furnishings of the Spicery is w/out a doubt brilliant. The food is good, yet extremely traditional. The menu card doesn’t really inspire to daring excursions. Would I come back? Yes. Definitely yes.

Main course excellent, starter unfortunately only lukewarm but still very good. Ambience very nice! Service, on the other hand, was really a letdown - the waitress wasn't friendly, harsh, didn't respond to requests that she please wait a bit before the main course (it came 10-15 minutes after the starter...), didn't respond at all to criticism about the path and warm beer and in the end When paying by card, like in America, I get the choice between an 8-20% tip - where do we live?!?!

For me this is one of the most beautiful places to dine in Munich. The prices are in the upper segment, no doubt, but I feel the size of the main course portions are good and the quality and ambience make justice to the price. If you don't like spicy food be aware, that there are few options for less spicy food but generally Thai Kitchen is quite spicy.

Original Thai cuisine, you can also get Thai spiciness if you wish 😂

Always super tasty, and you can also sit very well at the bar!
