Yokozuna Sushi in Berlin

My top 2 Japanese restaurant in Berlin. I've been a customer for 8 years now, the owner is Japanese and he's also the chef, what delicious food. I always recommend it to people.

We were there as a group to celebrate our birthday and received incredibly good service. The sushi that was served to us was incredibly tasty. The selection of drinks in the restaurant left nothing to be desired. I can only recommend it and will definitely come back a few more times.

At first I thought: totally inconspicuous. But if you like sushi, you'll love it here.

The food was highly recommended. The boss rolls the rolls himself. The price-performance ratio is very good. If you want to eat sushi, this is the right place. We had various sushi rolls, edamame, wakame and chicken skewers in advance.

Wonderful food in a great, authentic sushi bar.

The place is clean and quiet , the menu has a variety of choice ; price and quality are very good . My friend and I ordered bento for lunch which we found very balanced and filling. We especially loved the dressing used for the salad . おいしい !!

A place of peace in the middle of the city... and there's also great food. The boss makes the sushi with passion and it looks accordingly. Simply great and worth recommending. Price performance is also great.

Since the cook and waitress were the same person, we had to wait a bit, but not for long. Meanwhile we were able to watch the preparation. The place is great! Very cozy and tasty!

We've had salmon/avocado maki as well as salmon special. Salmon special was super dry and the other one was not that good compared to other sushi restaurants. (ex : Kan Koa) There were too much rice as well. The sushis look really sad in comparison to other places. Customer experience was disappointing.

Had some rolls and miso soup with salmon. The soup was one of the worst and the sushi wasn't that good. Freshness of the fish was ok, but the rest just wasn't tasty and one of the rolls only had traces of fish. I can't understand these good reviews.

De man is zeer vriendelijk en hij bereidt alles á la minute vers voor. Als je rechtstaat zie je hem de sushi maken.

Le gérant nous a annoncé une fois à la caisse qu’il ne prenait que du cash, et pas la carte bleue, ce qui est illégal et complètement stupide en 2023, sauf quand on cherche à faire du black. À cause de cela, j’ai dû aller retirer de l’argent au distributeur situé à côté (qui te prend 4,50€ de frais) et ma carte s’est bloquée et n’est plus fonctionnelle. Je me retrouve donc à l’étranger sans carte, à cause de cette situation. C’est inadmissible.

ベルリンに旅行した際に海外の寿司をたべてみたくて立ち寄りました。シェフも気さくで、寿司は想像していたよりも美味しかったです！盛り付けが美しかったのが印象的でした。日本人ならみんな知っている朝青龍や白鵬とお友達らしく、サインがありました！

super aardige man die alle sushi zelf vers met de hand bereid, hij is 2 talig en erg gast vrij. van buiten ziet het er niet aantrekkelijk uit maar van binnen ziet het er netjes uit, zeker een aanrader om te gaan eten als je sushi wil in berlijn

als je in berlijn ergens sushi wil eten moet je dat hier doen, deze aardige en 2 talige sprekende man maakt alle sushi zelf en handgemaakt, je kunt mee kijken in de keuken vanaf je plaats. de sushi smaakt echt heerlijk. hij is super aardig en gastvrij, dit is 100% een aanrader.

Maybe more like 4,5 stars. It wasn't anything exceptional but nothing to complain about.

Vi fik take away herfra, og det var ok. Ikke i top, men ok. Er det så godt nok, når der er så mange sushisteder i nærheden. Vi ved det ikke, for vi har ikke prøvet dem alle, men jeg tror der er bedre steder i nærheden.

The restaurant is not large, but it does contain at least ten to twelve tables, although larger groups may need to make reservations. I'd consider Yokozuna a little secret location of Berlin. And if you're visiting for dinner, do not be mistaken by the dark and what may seem like a closed restaurant. From afar it may look closed when it actually isn't. So don't walk away when you're still a distance away, get a closer look and you'll see that it is open. It isn't the most expensive sushi restaurant you will find in Berlin, but it is a good trade off to a much higher priced Japanese restaurant that also makes fresh sushi. There is no need to burn a hole in your pocket for good and legitimate sushi in Berlin.

A wonderful experience. The atmosphere was calm, the service was incredibly fast without being demanding, and very friendly. the food itself was presented impeccably and the taste was just as impressive. The portion sizes seemed perfect. I couldn't have asked for better. Thank you!

Sushi delicioso, hemos pedido también sopa de miso calentita y estaba muy buena. Recomendamos en rainbow roll y el salmon flake, los makis clásicos también están muy buenos. Mola bastante el sitio dedicado a un luchador de sumo, con fotos e ilustraciones en la pared. Te atienden con mucho cariño y rapidez, un acierto para la pausa de comer mientras trabajas😍

Super leckeres Sushi ( vor allem das mit dem Tintenfisch! ). Ein Freund und ich waren letztens hier Essen und ich muss schon sagen, so gutes Sushi hatte ich bisher glaube noch nie. Personal war sehr nett und das Essen immer Frisch. Ambiente ist auch ganz ruhig ( kann aber auch daran liegen, dass wir alleine im Restaurant waren hahaha). Meiner Meinung ist dieser Laden für Sushi perfekt. Kann es kaum erwarten wieder herzukommen! :)

The restaurant is small, cozy, and clean. It is hands down the best sushi we had in all Berlin. Selection is good, quality and freshness are amazing. If you are a sushi lover, this place is a must.

Ich esse normalerweise keinen Fisch oder alles was aus dem Wasser kommt. Aber bei Yokuzuna kann ich dem einfach nicht widerstehen. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert und immer frisch und sehr sehr lecker. Ich bin hier mittlerweile Stammkunde obwohl ich am Rand von Berlin wohne.

Wenn Geschmack einen Namen hat, dann Yokozuna in Berlin! Unglaublich lecker, 1a zubereitet, unglaublich freundliches Personal! Wenn Sushi, dann unbedingt und ausschließlich nur hier!!!

I have a habit of evaluating new (to me) sushi places by the chirashisushi, and this was a nice one. Lots of different veggies (kampyo, takuan, hiyashi wakame), egg. Would have liked more variety of fish, but the bit of squid was appreciated. Nicely arranged overall--tasty but also colorful and that's what I like.

Taste was great and very fresh and kind stuffs just a little bit small rolls😉

I had my birthday lunch in this place. It looks so unassuming from the outside but the food is topnotch! They use all the right ingredients on their sushi. The rice is perfectly made and the fish is fresh. They also serve Asahi beer which made the lunch extra special for me. It's a no nonsense straightforward high quality sushi place that I'm sure to come back to.

We normally don’t post reviews, but this place definitely deserves our (and your) attention. We’ve been to about 15 to 20 sushi restaurants, but the quality of this place is “on top of their game”. The sushi is super fresh and beautifully served. It is a small shop with, I believe a family that is running the restaurant which are very welcoming and friendly folks.

This is the best sushi I’ve had in Europe! We had the Unagi Roll, Spicy Tuna, and Salmon Lovers. It was fresh with great service. We will definitely be back next time we are in Berlin.

Personal ist sehr nett. Ist eher ein Lieferdienst. Ambiente könnte besser sein. Qualität des Sushi ist ok. Zutaten sind gut. Ist aber kein super gourmet Sushi. Kein frischer Tee, schade.

Habe über einen Lieferdienst bestellt. Die Verpackung war komplett aus Plastik, schade! Das Essen kam pünktlich an, der Lachs schmeckte aber irgendwie nicht so gut.

Super nettes und zuvorkommendes personal, leckeres und nicht zu teures essen und der sake schmeckt super. Die toiletten sind sauber. Das restaurant ist nicht zu groß, also auch nicht sehr laut. Das menu ist von angemessener größe, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Das sushi wird bei bestellung immer frisch gemacht. Das ambiente ist auch für ein sushi-restaurant etwas besonderes, aber durchaus zum restaurant passend und angemessen.
