A definite recommendation for all lovers of fine Japanese cuisine. Unfortunately, it's often overlooked when driving by. This small restaurant impresses with its creative flavors and high quality. The mackerel with ponzu is a personal favorite, and the spinach with truffle is outstanding. The sushi was amazing! If you appreciate modern Japanese fusion cuisine, this is the place for you. A place you'll happily recommend—and plan to visit again soon.

Excellent food, very kind staff

I ordered sushi, and it was simply disgusting. The salmon was obviously spoiled—inedible and a health risk. The gyoza were swimming in an unidentifiable sauce, completely soggy, and tasted awful. This had nothing to do with freshly prepared food. The condition of the food was not only disappointing, but simply outrageous. I immediately lost my appetite. Communication with the restaurant? Almost impossible. The owners speak such poor German that a factual resolution of the problem was impossible. Customer service = 0. I can only strongly advise everyone not to order from here. Health comes first—and what was delivered here was irresponsible.

A small and very cozy restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. There are some outdoor seating areas for warm days. Card payments have recently been accepted. Update: In the three years since my last review, my opinion hasn't changed. The restaurant has established itself, and I'd even go so far as to say I get the best sushi in the neighborhood here 🍣

Cozy spot next to the canal, a bit of a hidden gem. The sushi was freshly made and very delicious and the waitress very attentive and kind. Absolutely recommend!

We've been here several times now and tried different things, and everything was really great. I can only recommend it to everyone. It's now one of my absolute favorites in Berlin.

Located in a quiet corner of Moabit, this sushi place is just adorable. I took my friend for a birthday dinner there, we got the sushi plate for 24 euro which had a good selection of pieces, all fresh and yummy. I tried sashimi for the first time and LOVED it. The interior is nice and the music simple and calming. The staff were very polite and even though there was a little bit of a language barrier as we do not speak German it never became an issue. We even got a free dessert for my friends birthday! I would definitely recommend this place for an affordable yet delicious meal.

Das Essen ist fantastisch. Ich empfehle die Udon Suppe mit nur Lachs zu bestellen. So eine reichhaltige Brühe mit extra zartem Fisch und deftigen Shitake… auch Sushi ist absolut zu empfehlen.

I was there for the first time today and even though it has a Japanese presentation, the dishes are NOT authentic, the Japanese curry doesn't taste Japanese, the katsu was good. The sushi was okay. So all in all you can try it out, but it's more Japanese with a Vietnamese flair Addendum: I know Japanese cuisine very well and am a regular at little Tokyo in Düsseldorf, so if you react to the criticism like that, you know where the customer stands in their restaurant.

It looks very inconspicuous at the beginning, but the quality of the food is really good!! The staff is friendly and understanding if you have any special requests. I can absolutely recommend it! Price performance is top! I'd love to eat there again when I'm nearby!

It was our first time here in the restaurant. We also got to know Japanese cuisine for the first time. Since I don't know this cuisine, it's hard to judge whether it's good or bad. It was an authentic meal and that is commendable. Opinions differ when it comes to taste. My dish was a bit too sour for me, but still good. There is no comparison to the well-known Chinese or Vietnamese dishes and that's the interesting thing about it. If there were a Japanese restaurant near me, I would like to find out which dishes are close to my taste. So I can only recommend it, try authentic cuisine.

The best sushi I've ever eaten! Unlike all the typical chains, this restaurant offers authentic and freshly prepared Japanese cuisine. I can only strongly recommend everyone to come here and see for themselves. It's just great that something like this still exists today :)

We were there after a long walk. It was perfect. We ate the udon soup and a delicious ginger tea. That warmed us. Food was very tasty. The gyoza and sesame balls were particularly recommended.

We've always wanted to eat there and today we decided spontaneously and we definitely enjoyed it. Super delicious food, nice ambience and friendly service. We will definitely come back and try Krokodil ;-) The menu is clear and the prices are ok. The Hojicha tea was delicious. We were then well full. Many vegetarian and vegan dishes are available! So there is something for everyone.

I visited Musuko in November. I shared several dishes with two people. We were very satisfied with all the food and drinks. The dishes are freshly prepared and the service was very friendly and helpful. I will gladly come again.

I’m so well surprised! They have a complete vegan menu and the tastes are fully developed, fine, original (but in some cases newly combined). We ordered Tsukemono, Tempura, Soba and Yakiramen. All really good.

Totally recommended. We ordered some sushi as a starter. I can especially recommend the Tempura Inside-Out and the Unagi Nigiri. For the main course we have variations of the udon noodle soup. Here too, it is very attractively prepared and extremely tasty. The atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant. The restaurant is small with a warm atmosphere. We will definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I was so excited to go eat there. We ordered ramen, deep fried sushi, Japanese curry, kimchi and salad. Good things: 1. Salad dressing is amazing and I liked it a lot 2. Sushi is fresh and tasty, for this price is great choice Bad things: 1. Why do you think writing wagUY beef is fine? This is definitely not wagYU and you know it. Waiter asked about it answered 'no understand' in German and English, obviously not wanting to answer that question in a way that would make them say untrue information about what is being served. Because I can promise you: this is not Japanese wagyu. Not for this price. Suggesting it is by writing down a name with a typo and hoping nobody would notice is just CHEAP. Every single restaurant doing this needs to be called out. 2. Ramen is definitely not a Japanese ramen. I know they say they are fusion kitchen restaurant, but this is a Vietnamese way of preparing the soup. I also know for a fact that the waiter was Vietnamese as well. The soup was so fishy, we could not finish it. And I don't mean it had too much fish, it just stank of fish sauce. Much too much of a fish sauce. 3. Japanese curry - again, not Japanese at all. Again, I know - fusion kitchen - but this was a Vietnamese style dish. Don't get me wrong, this one was quite fine, but I would never call it the way they do. Perhaps they should simply rebrand themselves for Vietnamese restaurant and everything would be fine? I am so disappointed because of a) Ramen, the broth simply disgusting b) Naming stuff 'Japanese' where Japan is 3000km+ away from what they serve. Just stop pretending to be what you are not and I will gladly come back. For other kind of experience.

Yesterday my friend and I came across this place by chance. The food was exceptional and the service was great. I had eaten probably the best rolls of my life so far. Especially I would recommend Musuko special. The only bad thing to say is that the restaurant is located so far away from the center. Next time I will be anywhere around I will definitely visit it again.

Das Essen war okay. Für Vegetarier gibt es hier kaum eine Auswahl. Gerade mal 2 Gerichte entdeckt. Des Weiteren gibt es hier Krokodil zu essen - was meine Stimmung sehr betrübt hat.

Sehr gutes Essen, etwas auf der teureren Seite. Bedienung sehr freundlich, Essen kommt schnell (und trotzdem frisch) selbst mit einer Gruppe von 15+. Ambiente ist top.

Es war lecker wie immer. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten besuch und dann wie immer starte ich den Genuß mit der Miso Suppe.

Das schlechteste Essen was ich seit langem hatte. Der Laden war total leer an einem Freitagabend. Die Getränke waren grauenhaft. Es wurden einfach willkürlich Zutaten zusammengetan die nicht zusammengepasst haben. Das Essen war gar nicht authentisch und hat nicht geschmeckt. Ich hatte die Ramen bestellt. Diese wurden mit fertignudeln und fader, dünner Brühe serviert. Ich würde jedem raten einen Bogen um den Laden zu machen, da nichts selbst gekocht wird.

Toller kleiner Laden mit leckerem Sushi und sehr lieben Mitarbeiter:innen. Immer noch ein Geheimtipp, was sicherlich an der Lage liegt. Aber wer hier vorbeikommt, sollte hier auch einkehren :)

One of the best sushi restaurant in Berlin

We ordered through Wolt and we had a really poor experience. The fish was cut super thick so the consistency was not great. The gyoza are also not tasting good. The fried pieces were very soggy and oily and had too much sauce. The nori was cut really bad and there were tiny pieces of it everywhere.
