August 10, 2025 We were there again yesterday, this time with a reservation. A table for 5 people for 6 p.m. It was quite busy, but there were also a few tables available! We've always been very satisfied, but this time we left the restaurant after hours, very disappointed. It's understandable that you sometimes have to wait a little longer for your food, since everything is freshly prepared. But I think it's absolutely wrong that there are about an hour or more between courses! I've never experienced anything like that anywhere else, and knowing this beforehand, I/we definitely wouldn't have eaten there! The starter didn't arrive until around 7:20 p.m., and we had to wait almost as long for the "starter salad," and then another long wait for the main course. We all actually wanted to have dessert after dinner, but we didn't do that for the reasons mentioned above. Only one of us had dessert, and that was only because she ordered it immediately after the main course was served. It arrived after everyone had finished eating. Unfortunately, one of the main courses also had a piece of bone in the meat where it shouldn't have been. This was dismissed because the plate also included lamb with bones. When we informed the team, the plate was taken to the kitchen to report to the chef, but unfortunately, we weren't even served first, and they referred us to the lamb, even though it was in the chicken. There was no apology, and an apology for the long wait only came when we complained. They simply said, "We're sorry, it's very busy." I wonder how long it will take when it's really full! After all, there were also people who spontaneously decided to come here without a reservation or prior call. Likewise, identical "Hugo Alcohol-Free" drinks were not prepared identically. In the first round, there was a beautifully served drink with a whole mint leaf stem and 2-3 lime pieces/slices in the glass. Unfortunately, in the second round, only the slimmed-down version arrived. The surprise was clearly written all over our faces, and the young waitress apologized, saying she had prepared this drink for the first time. This isn't meant as a criticism of you, but in a restaurant, I do think that the individual drinks should all be prepared or decorated identically. All in all, we ate there and were more or less full, but we paid full price for it! There was no attempt to make amends; at least taking the complaints seriously with a main course on the house or something similar would have been nice. It should have been a nice birthday dinner, but everything dragged on. We left the restaurant at a quarter past 9 p.m., immediately after dinner. Definitely not recommended, as the lovely ambiance and the house masala or ouzo don't make up for the long wait. I happened upon Yamas today with my girlfriend. I was 300 percent surprised by the place and can recommend it 700 percent. Great menu, fantastic staff, superb ambiance, delicious drinks, a fantastic wine list, and delicious food. We'll be back, and it's an absolute insider tip. It's not your typical Greek-style restaurant. The team was consistently friendly, attentive, and cheerful, which made the entire evening particularly enjoyable. The food? Simply amazing! 🥙✨ Every dish was lovingly presented, perfectly flavorful, and noticeably fresh. The quality exceeded our expectations – and at absolutely fair prices. We particularly liked how authentically and lovingly the Greek cuisine was presented – coupled with service that made us want to return. The main course was very tasty. I found the starter quite expensive at €11.90 for such a small portion. Opinions may differ here, but I (a dog owner myself) believe that dogs have no place in a restaurant (plus, my dog ​​wasn't on a leash most of the time).

My husband and I went to Yamas for the first time today. We come from Verden and thought it was great that we got warm food at 4 p.m. The food was very appetizingly prepared. I had the seafood plate (shrimp/octopus calamari) it was a culinary delight. Simply amazing in terms of taste with attention to detail. The chef and wait staff were very attentive. You were offered a marsala or ouzo before and after your meal, so you should tip at least 10 euros - where does that exist? Thank you for this taste experience. I would recommend it to everyone. The food was seasoned so perfectly that no salt or pepper was needed. Keep it up, we live 70 meters away but would love to come back.

We had reserved a table for 6 at 8:45 p.m. on Valentine's Day. We were warmly welcomed and assigned to our table, which was decorated for Valentine's Day. A younger waiter served us that evening. As a welcome you were given an ouzo or masala. There was still one person missing, but we still ordered drinks and food around 9:10 p.m. As a starter to share, the carpaccio and grilled pepperoni. First of all, all the main courses we had came with salad and tomato rice or potato chips. As main courses to share, we ordered the grill platter for two with two potato chips and the seafood platter for two, which according to the menu comes with spinach rice. Also the Yamas platter with tomato rice. There weren't that many tables left in the restaurant, but it still took a while until we got our drinks. For our person, who came later, we ordered grilled lamb chops with baked potatoes from the young waiter. Our starters didn't come out until 10:23 p.m. Neither came. “I'm sorry for the long wait” or something similar, instead the waiter seriously asked if our latecomer had already ordered his main course (??). The waiter himself took the order. We don't understand at all. No “I’m sorry” here either. Then our main courses finally arrived, but all with tomato rice. Then when I asked why everything came with tomato rice and only one with potato chips and where the baked potato was, I was met with a puzzled “I passed on the order exactly like you told me.” Service can definitely be improved. Mistakes can happen, but you check the order you bring to the table beforehand. Main courses were quite salty except for the latecomer portion, the lamb chops. Only when we asked whether we would get the side dishes we wanted did we get the baked potato and a portion of potato chips. We didn't see any of the spinach rice all evening. In summary, there is definitely still work to be done on teamwork itself, as well as communication in the restaurant. Unfortunately, not a single “We’re sorry” all evening. or to compensate for the whole mess, drinks on the house or a dessert on the house. In the end we didn't finish eating until 11:30 p.m. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is okay, but the service unfortunately drags the overall experience down a bit.

The first time I experienced this was at a gastrobar where there was a separate room with lots of art supplies, toys, and many other things for the children to keep them occupied. We had dinner there on Valentine's Day, the table was set to match the day, which I thought was really nice. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for our food. Not only we had this problem, but also others, as we noticed from the tables next to us. The food was really tasty, but with the waiting time it wasn't a pleasant visit! Too bad! Because I was really looking forward to the restaurant and we had already been there before and everything went really quickly and smoothly back then.

We thought we'd go out for a nice meal on Valentine's Day... Unfortunately, we didn't choose the right restaurant! We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food! The appetizer, aioli with bread, was beyond disappointing. Three cold pieces of bread, and the aioli was really not good. So, for our main course, we had the Metaxa pan and baked gyros. The gyro had nothing to do with gyros. It was just a skewer of ground meat and tasted like a cheap kebab. The Metaxa sauce was bland, and what was called a gyro was so oversalted... Okay, we got a masala on the house because we had to wait so long. The ambiance was nice, but it was very cold. And they didn't tell us that you couldn't pay by card until it was time to pay. We left more than disappointed.

My wife and I ordered food for December 24, 2024. The restaurant was actually closed, but we were still able to pick up our food. Unbelievable - while looking for something “special” we found it at a Greek restaurant. As other reviews say: not an ordinary Greek - in a positive sense. For the lamb shank in a great dark sauce, I chose the spinach rice. It was great - no tomato rice as usual in Greek restaurants. My wife had pasta which was also perfect. A lovely evening where everything was perfect. We'll definitely be back. Don't get me wrong: I also like going to a classic Greek restaurant - but this restaurant is (at least) a step better.

Yesterday we were able to attend a cooking class at Yamas. That was just great! Dive deep into the secrets, immerse yourself in the art of cooking, go into the kitchen yourself and lend a hand. You can feel so much love for good cuisine, it's just great! I can only recommend a cooking course, just ask on site.

A super cozy restaurant! Very nicely decorated with a great ambience. Not at all like what we usually know from the Greeks. The staff was very attentive and I was even served very tasty cocktails, even though there was no cocktail menu. So my wishes were fully met here. Some of the 11 of us were surprised at the long wait for food, but I understand that you would want to serve food to such a large group at the same time. That's how it should be. Here the guests should have the right understanding. And the beautifully prepared and very tasty food was really worth it. My compliments to the chef! It was a really nice visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, we left Yamas last night relatively disappointed. The ambience is really very nice. But.. We were a group of 10 people. This was also known because we had reserved a table in advance. We waited about 20 minutes for our drinks alone. It took over an hour for the food and we wouldn't have asked how long it would probably take longer. A table that came after us had everything there within about 45 minutes. Drinks AND food. I liked the bifteki themselves. The tomato rice probably had little to no spices and could have used a minute longer. All in all, the store didn't cover itself with glory yesterday and won't be seeing us again any time soon.

The number of guests was really manageable and you still have to wait 1 1/2 hours for your food. It's freshly prepared elsewhere and you definitely don't have to wait that long, so it was a bit of a disappointment for us. In addition, for me it is part of a more upscale restaurant with such prices that the service comes to you automatically if, for example, the glasses are empty.

Unusual ambience with a feel-good factor. We were guests at the Yamas GastroBar at the weekend and had reserved in advance. The restaurant was very busy during the stay. The service was friendly and fulfilled a special request for a different seat after a quick check. The wait for the drinks was reasonable, we waited about an hour for the main course. Due to the good quality of the food, this was bearable for us. When we wanted to pay, we had to wait a little longer until the waitress came back to the table. The prices are reasonable and fair. You can park directly in front of the restaurant. All in all a nice stay, we can recommend the food with a clear conscience, the waiting times could still be worked on.

The atmosphere is really great, but the usually large Greek portions are rather small here. The side dish, e.g. potato chips, was manageable for 2 people. Likewise the gyros in the grill plate for 2 people, more of a reserved portion. In the end, nothing earth-shattering, every guest has different expectations.

Sehr gutes Essen, vielfältige Auswahl an Gerichten und freundliche Bedienung. Etwas teurer aber die Qualität stimmt.

Hab ich jemals so schlecht gegessen? NEIN! Zunächst verwundert über das "griechische" Ambiente der GastroBar las sich die Speisekarte richtig gut! Und so freuten wir uns auf ein klassisches Bifteki und auf Schweinefilet in Metaxasauce. Die GastroBar war normal besucht, keine Personenzahl, die die Küche überfordern könnte. Dennoch sagte uns die Kellnerin, dass es heute länger dauern könne. Gut, wie überall ... vmtl kein Personal ... man kennt es. Ok. So tranken wir unseren Wein und warteten auf das Essen. Irgendwann kam dann der Beilagensalat: eine kleine Schlüssel Eisbergsalat, ein Blatt Rucola, eine halbe Cocktailtomate, ein Viertel Radieschen - und für den Geschmack etwas verdünnte Honig-Senf-Sauce. :/ Doch die eigentliche Enttäuschung sollte noch kommen. Was bitte ist an einem Biftekti so schwierig??? Auf meinem Teller lag ein schwammgroßer Fladen "Wasauchimmer" (Hack bis ins unendliche verlängert) und zwei Reiskugeln. Der Reis wurde in passierten Tomaten geschwenkt und ungewürzt auf dem Teller platziert. Ich weiß nicht, was schlimmer war: der Reis oder der "Spülschwamm" (der nicht nur so aussah, sondern auch so schmeckte). Was für ein Käse war das bitte, der Feta sein sollte??? Unterirdisch!!! Das Schweinefilet meines Partners war nochmal gestorben und in der Sauce ertränkt worden. Feta war das aus nicht, mit dem überbacken wurde. Am Ende sagte man uns, dass das Kassensystem am Wochenende nie richtig funktionieren würde. Ob wir bar bezahlen könnten ... Ehm, nee ... Wieso sorgt man nicht dafür, dass das System funktioniert, wenn es doch immer am Wochenende nicht funktioniert?! Mein Partner gab den entscheidenen Hinweis, den Hotspot zu nutzen und löste damit das Problem. Au man ... Wir hatten uns so sehr auf griechisches Essen gefreut. Aber hier war NICHTS griechisch! Selbst die Kellner sprachen russisch! Ich schreibe sehr selten eine Bewertung, weil das ja auch immer Geschmacksache ist, aber das, was wir da gestern erlebt haben, ist einfach nur eine Frechheit!!! Beim nächsten Mal gehen wir wieder ins SYRTAKI (Lohne)!

Leider mussten wir sehr sehr lange auf unser Essen warten (über 1,5 Stunden) und es kam dann nicht mal die richtige Bestellung. Auch auf die Getränke mussten wir eine halbe Stunde warten. Das Personal war völlig überfordert.. Das Essen war Ok, aber die Preise dafür nicht gerechtfertigt.

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. Mit 12 Personen dort gewesen. Es hat ewig gedauert bis das Essen kam, wovon auch noch einige falsch waren und die Beilagen nicht passten. Geschmacklich war es in Ordnung. Getränke liefen leider auch nicht viel besser. Für uns war der gesamte Abend ruiniert und wir waren sicher das letzte Mal hier.

Die Qualität des Essens war nicht sonderlich. Wir werden vorerst kein zweites Mal hingehen.

Ich war mit meinen Mitarbeitern dort. Das Essen ist schlicht großartig! Wir hatten alle was anderes und alles war extrem lecker. Wir kommen wieder! Außergewöhnlich gut.

Essen war von der Portionsgröße gut, hatte Gyros ohne Zwiebeln bestellt unterm Reis war dann doch ein Zwiebelring, hmmm was soll ich dazu sagen... Der Tomatenreis ist Geschmackssache, meiner war es leider nicht, auch die Getränkepreise sind recht hoch. Ich muss da nicht nochmal hin.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant, sehr gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. Hier fühlt man sich gleich wohl. Das Essen war richtig lecker und reichlich, der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist völlig angemessen. Für kleine Kinder bietet das Restaurant eine extra Spielecke und Parkplätze befinden sich direkt vor dem Lokal. Von mir gibt es für alles 5 Sterne. Wirklich zu empfehlen 👍👍👍

Ein sehr schönes Lokal. Das Essen hat richtig lecker geschmeckt. Besonders das Fleisch war gut. Nette freundliche Bedienung. Und es gibt ein Spielzimmer für die Kids. Sehr empfehlenswert.
