Melchers 1715 in Vechta

Ich habe Hähnchenstreifen bestellt und war der Überzeugung, dass mir Formfleisch serviert wurde. Auf meinen Hinweis wurde leider nicht eingegangen. Statt einfach die Verpackung zu prüfen und die Sache aufzuklären, wurde erst diskutiert. Ich habe das Gericht deshalb zurückgehen lassen. Eine Erklärung oder Entschuldigung gab es nicht. Am Ende wurde das Gericht zwar „aus Kulanz“ von der Rechnung gestrichen, was bei einem nicht verzehrten Essen selbstverständlich sein sollte. Besonders enttäuschend war der Abschluss: Ich habe den Restbetrag von knapp 48 € mit 50 € bezahlt und gesagt: „Stimmt so.“ Daraufhin wurde mir das Wechselgeld demonstrativ auf den Tisch geworfen. So geht man mit Gästen nicht um. Fehler können passieren. Entscheidend ist, wie man damit umgeht. Freundlichkeit, Transparenz und ein respektvoller Umgang hätten die Situation vermutlich in wenigen Minuten geklärt. So bleibt leider ein sehr negativer Eindruck.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Hat sehr lange gedauert bis man bedient wurde. Man musste immer jemanden rufen wenn man was zu trinken haben wollte. Man ist mal auf die Toilette gegangen und schon wurde der Stuhl geklaut. Absolute Frechheit. Essen...naja....nichts besonderes.....aber teurer....

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Das Personal war unfreundlich und hat uns sogar als Lügner dargestellt. Wir hatten für 21:30 Uhr einen Tisch für 10 Personen reserviert. Vor Ort wurde uns jedoch unterstellt, wir hätten für 21:00 Uhr und nur 5 Personen reserviert. Besonders enttäuschend war der Eindruck, dass andere Gäste bevorzugt behandelt wurden. Es fühlte sich für uns so an, als hätten deutsche Gäste den Vorzug erhalten, während wir aufgrund unseres Migrationshintergrunds benachteiligt wurden. Dies ist unser persönlicher Eindruck von der Situation. Am Ende wurde uns ein Platz in einer abgelegenen Ecke zugewiesen, von dem aus wir das Fußballspiel, das wir ursprünglich gemeinsam schauen wollten, überhaupt nicht sehen konnten. Insgesamt war der Umgang mit uns respektlos und wir haben uns als Gäste nicht willkommen gefühlt. Diese Erfahrung möchten wir kein zweites Mal machen.

Hatte im Restaurant nen Burger, der war wirklich gut. Also zu empfehlen.

3 Sterne Schönes Ambiente, insgesamt ein netter Abend, aber beim Service gab es Luft nach oben. Wir waren mit 9 Personen rund 4 Stunden vor Ort. In dieser Zeit kam der Service nur dreimal an den Tisch, um weitere Getränke aufzunehmen. Leere Gläser wurden selten abgeräumt, und neue Getränke wurden meist über den Tisch durch mehrere Hände weitergereicht, statt einzeln serviert. Das Essen (Lachs und Salat) war in Ordnung und kam zügig. Aus meiner Sicht war es preislich etwas zu hoch für das Gebotene. Insgesamt ein ordentlicher, aber kein herausragender Besuch.

Wir haben hier am vergangenen Freitag unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und sind absolut begeistert! Das Essen war fantastisch. Ein ganz besonderes Lob verdient das Service-Team: Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Sie haben maßgeblich dazu beigetragen, dass unser großer Tag unvergesslich wurde. Vielen Dank für diesen guten Service! Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Restaurant von Herzen weiterempfehlen.

Nach einer 2stündigen Wanderung sind wir zu dritt hier eingekehrt. Wir haben Flammkuchen, Lachs und Schnitzel genossen. Alle Gerichte waren sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich gut. Wir haben gemütlich draußen unter einem Heizstrahler gesessen und wurden aufmerksam & nett bedient.

Ich war nun einige Male zu Gast. Es ist mein favorisiertes Café, um mich jeweils mit Freunden zu treffen. Ich sitze am liebsten draußen, Winter wie Sommer, weil es dort einfach möglich und gemütlich ist. Die Speisen sind wirklich lecker, besonders der Flammkuchen und die Pommes. Was für mich jedoch ausschlaggebend ist, ist das Personal (was ist bisher erleben durfte). Individualität, gepaart mit Aufmerksamkeit und Wortwitz, zuvorkommend, nicht aufdringlich,... die hatten Bock auf ihren Job! Und das halte ich nicht für selbstverständlich. Weiter so!

War nur da zum essen. Entspannte Atmosphäre Gutes Essen wenn auch etwas teuer und Portionen (Burger) sind nicht riesig eher mittelgroß. Netter Service Schöne Sitzplätze draußen und drinne.

Tolles Ambiente und leckeres Essen

Das schlechteste essen, bloß Weitergehen.

Smashed Burger hat nix mit Smash Burger zu tun. Burger Bun zu dick und schwarz (Bild hochgeladen). Wasser sollte nicht teurer sein als Cola oder andere Getränke

Was der Koch beruflich macht ist hier offen. Wir waren jetzt 2x in diesem Lokal und es war beide Male eine Enttäuschung. Beim letzten Besuch bekam mein kleiner Sohn eine Fanta eingeschenkt, die seit über einem Jahr abgelaufen war. In der Flasche befand sich bereits ein deutlich sichtbarer Schimmelklumpen, den der Kellner offenbar nicht bemerkt hat und trotzdem ins Glas eingeschenkt hat. Als ich ihn darauf hinwies, reagierte er lediglich mit „Oh, ich hole mal eine neue“, ohne sich ernsthaft zu entschuldigen. So etwas darf absolut nicht passieren, schon gar nicht bei einem Kind. Der Service insgesamt war sehr langsam. Auf das Essen mussten wir extrem lange warten. Zur Vorspeise bestellten wir eine Suppe, bekamen jedoch eine falsche Suppe serviert. Bis die Hauptgerichte kamen, verging über eine Stunde. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte: Die Schnitzel sahen optisch gut aus, waren innen jedoch gummiartig und hatten eine sehr unangenehme Konsistenz. Die dazu servierte Pilzsoße wirkte wie eine Fertigsoße aus der Dose, sehr pampig und geschmacklich schlecht. Die Schweinemedaillons waren komplett durchgebraten, zäh und trocken. Auch das Rumpsteak hatte keine angenehme Konsistenz und war geschmacklich enttäuschend. Keines der Gerichte hat uns überzeugt. Als kleine Entschädigung bekam unser Sohn wegen der verschimmelten Fanta ein Eis gratis. Leider war auch das ein Reinfall. Das Eis hatte viele Frostkristalle, was auf falsche Lagerung bzw. starke Temperaturschwankungen hindeutet. Geschmacklich ebenfalls nicht genießbar. Schade, denn das Ambiente des Restaurants ist eigentlich sehr schön. Das Essen und die Qualität insgesamt können damit leider nicht mithalten. Aufgrund unserer Erfahrungen können wir einen Besuch hier nicht empfehlen.

Mein Besuch in diesem Etablissement erwies sich leider als eine Enttäuschung von beinahe exemplarischem Ausmaß. Trotz des vielversprechenden Ambientes blieb sowohl die gastronomische Darbietung als auch der Service weit hinter den Erwartungen zurück

If you're ever in Vechta, you absolutely have to go here. We were there for dinner on Thursday at 7:30 pm during the Christmas market, without a reservation. We were greeted warmly, the aperitif was excellent, and then came the surprise. Perfect service in the wine section, sensational cuisine—kudos to the chef! The waitstaff was very friendly. They were happy to accept our small suggestions at the end. Best regards from Zurich

Nice place in the very center of the town! Delicious onion soup, good Currywurst and delicious thin pizza with salmon. The staff is extremely friendly, which is a big plus!

Breakfast is okay, but nothing special. The selection of rolls is meager, we missed having a fish option, and the minced meat was missing onions. Otherwise, the food is tasty, and the quark dishes are especially good! Unfortunately, we arrived on the day the coffee machine was being cleaned, meaning all coffee drinks made with milk were unavailable. To still charge the full buffet price is simply outrageous. For the quality and service, the prices are too high, so this was our last visit for the time being.

What can I say my family owns the Melchers

Unfortunately, my latte macchiato was only warm, and the apple crumble was also forgettable. We asked the waitress three times if we wanted to pay, but ultimately just went inside to pay. It's not a must-visit...

Disappointing meal around 6:30 p.m. on a sunny Sunday. We were here today hoping for a nice meal for the club and bridge run. Unfortunately, the experience was rather mixed. I ordered a salmon lasagna. The plate arrived lukewarm, the lasagna was dry, and the béchamel sauce was almost completely missing, so the overall dish seemed very dry and didn't live up to expectations. When I asked the waitress about it, she offered to reheat the lasagna. However, given how dry it was, I was concerned that reheating it might further impair the flavor. At the end, another waitress said she, too, wasn't sure what was going on in the kitchen and that there were a lot of complaints today. This was especially disappointing because the day had started so promisingly. It's a shame – with the good weather and the otherwise beautiful surroundings, I had expected more. Hopefully, the team will address the situation and ensure freshly prepared, hot meals and better coordination between the kitchen and service in the future.

The best thing here is definitely the fries – super crispy! 💛💛 The tarte flambée is also really delicious. Overall, the ingredients are high-quality, the coffee is average, but the value for money is good. Especially after work or on the weekend, we like to sit in the square, watch the hustle and bustle, and enjoy the beautiful weather 🌴 A place we love to visit again and again! ❤️‍🔥

Waited 10 minutes for service, even though there was no one there. After we made ourselves known, the conversation between the two waitresses continued. Today, after three years, I went back to Melchers... I ordered a cappuccino for €4.20, and it arrived cold. I pointed this out to the waitress; she reacted angrily, took the cold cappuccino, and then slammed a new one on my table with a hissing "here you go." I'm definitely not going back to that place with its outrageous prices, as they've been undergoing extensive renovations.

I have always enjoyed coming for breakfast, but unfortunately my last experience was extremely disappointing. The organization didn't work at all: there was a long queue to the outside and the buffet wasn't refilled in a timely manner, which led to considerable waiting times as plates were missing and the kitchen obviously couldn't keep up. We had to wait half an hour for drinks. We were also treated unkindly when we reasonably asked for a solution. If you are organizing an event of this type, you should get this under control or at least plan for fewer guests. To make matters worse, we were then informed that breakfast only lasts until 11:30 a.m. - even though we had waited extra to get through the line. All in all, it was a very unpleasant experience, especially on Mother's Day. I hope that more attention will be paid to the organization and service in the future. For my part, I won't be entering the restaurant again anytime soon.

The food at Melchers is simply fantastic! Fresh ingredients, great preparation and always tasty. Whether classic dishes or special specialties – quality is very important here. There is also friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Absolutely recommended!

A disappointing experience, but in a pleasant environment I recently visited this restaurant and was attracted by the welcoming atmosphere and pleasant decor. I must admit that the location is well chosen and the ambiance creates a sense of well-being. Unfortunately, the dining experience didn't live up to expectations. I ordered a specific drink from the menu, but what I received was completely different. Not only was it not what it was supposed to be, but the staff didn't seem to mind the mistake. When I pointed out the problem, they were indifferent and had no desire to resolve the situation. In addition, the prices are far too high for what's on offer. I understand that I'm also paying for the atmosphere, but when the quality of the service and products leaves something to be desired, it's clear that the value for money isn't justified. Bottom line: If you're looking for a nice place to sit and share stories, it might be worth a visit. However, if you want attentive service and products that follow your order, look elsewhere.

The service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Our waitress even took the time to guide us through the menu. But the culinary highlight: the food. Every bite was simply a delight. I went there today after a walk for a latte and a piece of plum cake. The store was busy but definitely not overcrowded. The service was quite friendly, but completely overwhelmed. After my coffee was almost cold, I also received my cake upon request. What really annoyed me was that the waitress told me that the cake was already ready, but she hadn't had time to bring it to me yet. But then she ran to the display case with the pastries, you don't have to understand... in short, she lied to me. I don't fully understand it, because I think it makes sense to process one guest's order completely before I put the requests of the other guests in between. A couple opposite me left visibly upset after about a quarter of an hour of doing nothing, with the sentence “great service here”. I found the price of €10.80 for a small cup of milky coffee and cake to be steep, to say the least. The ambience is admittedly very nice, but the prices are probably more like big city prices. Too bad!

If you are looking for a restaurant for better convenience food, my daughter would say "everything out of the box", then this is the place for you. Afterwards I went to the Christmas market with my family to eat something because they were still hungry after a 3-figure bill. The stars represent the ambience. Nobody can really cook here. Only use it every now and then.

I spontaneously went to the breakfast buffet at Melchers with my friend. We were there a little later and were worried that the buffet would be lean. We were very positively surprised, the buffet was well stocked with fresh scrambled eggs etc. Borsti not only greeted us politely and openly, but also made me a wonderful cappuccino with oat milk. His service was outstanding!

The service was very nice, but the food isn't even close to worth the money. The Cordon Bleu is not recommended, the fries were negligible and the mayonnaise was charged extra without notice...all in all, I'd rather eat somewhere else!

Unfortunately, it's far too expensive for what's on offer. If you were at least satisfied with the little burger and mini fries that were placed somewhat carelessly and lonely on your plate, the almost 20 euros for it might still be justifiable. The 1 euro extra for ketchup is a disgrace. We won't be coming back, despite the lovely atmosphere.

I had dinner at Melchers. The many bad reviews seemed a bit off-putting, so I'll try to shed some light on my visit. Reservation makes sense - we had reserved, which was necessary because it was well attended. Table was clean, nice and nicely set. There were 4 of us in total. Food - large portions, priced in the middle region. Drinks quite expensive. It tasted great, salad was fresh. Both the burger and the schnitzel were well fried and juicy. The side dishes impressed everyone. All in all I paid around €30 with drinks and a main meal. With a starter, dessert and wine you can quickly reach €40-50. Service - took a while. Food and drinks came quite quickly, but you had to pay attention to both when ordering. Payment was easy - EC and cash were possible. Great location - right on the market in Vechta, close to the train station and public transport. Large parking lot nearby - this was fairly free in the evenings, but I assume it will be full on the weekend.

I had dinner at the restaurant with a friend at the weekend. So I have to say I was very negatively surprised by the price performance. I ordered the goat cheese starter. No lie, there were 3 cm small pieces of baguette on it, with tiny little pieces of goat cheese on it.. I think it wasn't even cut but scraped from the cheese.. Plus 3 slices of cucumber, 3 of tomatoes and some greens. And all for a hefty 12 euros. Plus a lillet. It was half a glass with ice and lillet. If you left out the ice, it might be a shot glass full of Lillet...but it would cost 8.00. Taste ok. But extremely overpriced

We left after about 25 minutes without having had the opportunity to order anything. Everyone who came after us was served normally and quickly. It's a shame because we came to Vechta specifically to have something to eat there.

The hotel is really beautiful and everything but the staff (not ALL) is incredibly rude that you have to wait for what feels like 2 hours for a Fanta is not okay. The food isn't really that special either. It feels like it's just as long of a wait for a Fanta. And the reception is worst at the top.

I ate at Melchers Gastro GmbH on June 20th and would like to share my experience. The service was very friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the meat in my lunch dish wasn't cooked through. When I asked if this was OK, I was confirmed that it is not the standard. Nevertheless, the meal was fully accounted for. I hope this will be improved in the future as the ambience and service was otherwise very pleasant. Thank you for your attention and I hope that my feedback helps to further improve the quality. Nice atmosphere and very nice staff. We only had something to drink, but the food looked very good.

The staff is nice, but unfortunately not trained. Placing an order can take time and when you finally do it, it can take 20-30 minutes until the order is at your place (it's about a Coke) - that wasn't an isolated case either. Last time we just left because no one took our order even after 30 minutes. The staff just said they were coming soon... it was our last visit. Food is ok. But the prices still stick in your throat. Easily 30% too expensive. For a piece of cake and a coffee it's better to go to the hotel opposite. Better prices, better quality and better service.

Went there for lunch for the first time today. The ambience appealed to me. That was it. I would have expected a deep fryer schnitzel at the snack bar across the street. The hollandaise had a skin on it and the vegetables and potatoes were at least fresh. I would have expected more, even if it was a cheap lunch. A pity

The staff consists entirely of students. Basically ok, if there was a professional there somewhere. But it is not. As a customer, you are served entirely by non-professionals, but they complain loudly about the lack of skilled workers. And about the boss. And the unspeakable roster. One lady was working, three others were gossiping standing at the counter, clearly audible to the customer. We now know who flew (by name) and who doesn't want the job and, and, and. Occurred on May 6th, 24th. The food is definitely too expensive for such a service. And even today we consistently used the first name... Burgers and fries were delicious but definitely completely overpriced.

In January I was still enthusiastic. Almost every weekend I was treated to a very good 5 star breakfast. In April a managing director left the restaurant due to a planned stay abroad and my enthusiasm is now more in the 1 star area. The usual breakfast would be no more... you would only give that to people with a stomach that's too small... that's the expertise of a blonde waitress... without wasting any more words: I'd rather buy rolls and have breakfast at home👍

Here you can have a good and filling vegan lunch. Attentive, friendly service and clean toilets. Atmosphere okay, ambience quite nice. You can park for a fee in the numerous parking spaces on one of Vecha's main shopping streets, on which Melchers is located.

We always enjoyed going to Melchers, but unfortunately it was the last time... Sunday at 10:30 p.m. we sat down and wanted to have a warm drink when the employee told us that the coffee machine was already off and clean. 1 hour and 30 minutes before the store closes. It wasn't just us who went, but another group of 8 people. The employee's excuse was that the coffee machine needed longer to clean, which is why it was already out. So I ask... total nonsense to clean it so early when 20 customers are still coming!!!!

15 € for a baked potato with sour cream - was the cheapest meal on the menu, along with a very thinly topped vegetarian tarte flambée for 14 € and a burger for 19 €. I was disappointed with the price-performance ratio - in the meantime, both the menu and the advertised price have apparently changed again. Ambience and service were good.

Breakfast buffet is very rich, something for everyone but I think breakfast includes coffee or tea. I don't think it's that good that you have to pay extra for everything. 2x breakfast 4x latte macchiatto almost 50 euros, which I think is very expensive. I would welcome it if you did Mention at the table that coffee, tea or other hot drinks would all be extra.

Wir waren zwar nur eine Nacht da aber es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer, der Server und das Essen sowie alles drum herum war super. Alles sauber, die Leute super freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Essen war Mega.
