The best sushi. From mussels and lamb to sushi, everything is incredibly delicious, and the dessert is another highlight. Definitely try the mochi.

Food was really good for being an all-you-can-eat place. The food came up quickly, with the exception at the end where I had to wait 20 mins for some ice cream. The grilled steak and salmon were the best and also the chicken roll with the spicy seasoning wasnt bad. unfortunately most of the rolls contained avocado, which isnt my favorite. the people who handled my seating and the guy who came with the bill were very friendly. the people that brought the food were also nice, but they didnt say much, maybe because they dont speak German? this might be the case. I would go back again

Yakumi is my absolute favorite restaurant. The sushi is consistently excellent! The atmosphere is modern and the service is very attentive. It's always very busy, so you need to make a reservation well in advance.

Be sure to reserve a table. Parking garage nearby, a 5-minute walk. The restaurant is modern and chic. It was completely full and very loud on a Saturday evening. Food and drinks were ordered electronically. We could each choose and order 5 small dishes every 8 minutes. The dishes were displayed as a photo on the screen. If several people ordered the same thing, it could be served on one plate and had to be shared if everyone still knew what they had ordered. The plates were mixed up and placed on the table without a word, so that we, a large group, had to figure out who belonged to which dish. In summary, the food was excellent, the wait for the food was very short, and we were more concerned with ordering plates than with our friends: YES. We would have liked to have chatted after our 2-hour ordering time was up, but our table was taken again after 2 hours and we had to leave. It's something special. I'll be back as a couple, but not as a group. Restrooms in the basement.

Unfortunately, when ordering all-you-can-eat with five people, dishes kept getting forgotten. After a while, it became a bit hard to keep track of which order a dish came from.

A wide selection of dishes. Many are also suitable for guests who don't like fish. 😁. Sushi with chicken or lamb chops are just two examples.

I discovered Japanese cuisine on Canada's west coast, where all the chefs were Japanese and the fish was fresh daily. I never tried Japanese food in Germany because I was sure it would be a disappointment. Until I tried this restaurant, where the raw salmon is truly as it should be. For meat lovers: the best chicken wings you could wish for. The restaurant runs flawlessly; I'm always surprised by how fast the food and service are. It's also recommended for tourists, as it's very centrally located (next to the old mill). I always enjoy coming back.

For 40 euros per person, I expected a wider selection of dishes. There were no sauces on the menu, and this brown, sticky sauce was on absolutely everything. I asked for it to be left out, but everything was served with it anyway.

Sometimes you get the wrong food, but you can let them know, and they'll politely take it back and apologize (it can happen, of course; we're only human, after all). Food: Meat was dry. Very dry. I felt like the food wasn't seasoned. Waiters: They only speak Polish and Ukrainian. So I couldn't ask for salt and pepper. The staff were watching me. We were with people who ordered a la carte, and the waiters were constantly checking to see if we were eating from the buffet. It was too intrusive. The buffet is far too expensive for the quality! We had originally reserved for 8 people several weeks in advance. Two people had announced that we would be there. Then yesterday we stood in front of the store and the employee said she didn't have a table for 6 people, despite having a reservation for 8 people.

You won't get in here without a reservation, but the food is always great and the quality is simply top-notch.

Very good Japanese restaurant with sushi, etc. The all-you-can-eat menu is almost unbeatable: you can order five dishes every eight minutes! We managed eight courses, though not all of them… it's best to reserve a table in advance, as it gets very booked up.

The food was very good. I had concerns because of the reports. The female waitresses were excellent! I had tried to make a reservation in advance by phone. I was told it wasn't necessary for 4 p.m. Upon arrival, we were disabused of this notion, and my objection was simply ignored. There's still room for improvement in the way male waitresses treat women, especially when it comes to customer service.

A true taste experience! A diverse menu and clearly the restaurant with the best value for money in all of Bremen.

First of all: the sushi is super delicious, and the all-you-can-eat price of €39 is completely reasonable. We had reserved a table for two at 8:00 p.m. You arrive in the entrance area and wait for a free table with many other people who had also reserved, as these are only filled upon availability. So, this is a classic case of overbooking, and more capacity is being accommodated. Understandable in principle, but communication at the entrance needs to be improved so that you don't end up waiting 30 minutes for your reserved table, as was the case with us. Ordering via tablet and the associated delivery to the tables works quickly and smoothly. I wouldn't call it great service, but the concept is coherent and works. Unfortunately, the restaurant is very loud. The food, however, lifts the whole thing.

I just read the report released on July 15, 2025 by Published based on test results pursuant to Section 40, Paragraph 1a, No. 3 of the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB). I will never visit this restaurant again. Such poor food storage conditions, improper refrigeration, and such deficiencies in hygiene, including those of the staff, are disgusting and repulsive.

Everything tasted good, and the staff was always friendly. The problem is more the cleanliness of the restaurant. This isn't the first time the health department has taken notice. See photos - Health Department report.

According to an official report by the Bremen Food Inspection Authority dated July 15, 2025, significant deficiencies in food storage and handling, contaminated utensils, mold-infested shelves, deficiencies in operational hygiene, and deficiencies in staff hygiene were discovered at this restaurant on June 15, 2025. For example, refrigeration temperatures exceeded, fish stored in defrosting water, no soap or towels at the staff sink, etc. I have to say that I am very disappointed with this restaurant, which we have visited regularly. The currently quite hefty price of approximately €40 per person is completely disproportionate to the actual quality of the food there. It's simply disgusting that customers' health is treated so carelessly. We will never see this "restaurant" again. I wish everyone who continues to dine here good luck and good health.

Overall, a good experience: the food is very tasty, albeit expensive. The atmosphere is a bit cafeteria-like. You're probably not supposed to linger long to make room for new guests waiting in the door for seats during peak times.

We spontaneously dropped in on a Friday evening. The waiter was super nice and gave us a table, even though the place was fully booked. The service was really excellent. The food, unfortunately, wasn't that good. Some of the hot dishes were cold or didn't arrive until several rounds later. My friend's chicken had a pungent odor and tasted pretty bad. The sushi was so-so. The shrimp, on the other hand, were very good. All in all, a good evening, but at €38.50 (excluding drinks), it was definitely too expensive.

A top-class restaurant in Bremen. If you're looking for a truly outstanding Asian restaurant, this is your go-to place. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, as it's often very busy. Located a bit off the main road is the Yakumi Sushi Restaurant; it's neat, well-maintained, and large. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but pleasant. What's special is that you can eat a kind of buffet here, where you order your food at your table via tablet. The portions are all pleasantly small, but you can order a lot in your two hours. We didn't manage to eat all the way through and were still stuffed by the end. The friendly and dedicated staff are quick to introduce you. Upon request, you can also get additional cutlery and sauce. Unfortunately, what was missing was a peanut sauce or a coconut/curry sauce. However, the dishes were all really good, and we were able to try quite a few items from the menu. The extensive sushi menu is, of course, the main focus here. But there's also a lot to choose from, from duck to rice and rounding off with desserts. Drinks are an extra charge, which makes the price seem quite high per person given the high buffet price. Buffet restaurants usually earn their money through drinks, not the buffet price itself. However, it must be said that you can still get a lot for your money if you're hungry. As with any buffet restaurant, you should be careful not to overorder and leave too much food unfinished. If you do order way too much, you'll be charged extra. Due to the interesting ordering system, we think you need at least one full visit to Yakumi-Sushi to fully appreciate the food you've ordered. But it worked quite well for us. It's not the cheapest option for eating out with children, and it's best to know what you'd like to eat. If we ever visit Bremen again, we'll definitely be back and hope that this restaurant maintains its excellent quality.

I had wanted to try this place for a long time, but every time I called, they were fully booked. Finally, I managed to get a reservation — and it was absolutely worth the wait! We tried the all-you-can-eat buffet, and the ordering process was smooth and very satisfying. Every 8 minutes, you could choose 5 dishes per person, and there were so many great options to pick from. Totally worth the price — every dish I tried was delicious. I’m definitely going back again soon. By far the best sushi place in Bremen!

We really enjoy going to Yakumi. It has become more and more expensive over the years, but the food is always excellent and the quality is great. For us, there is no comparable offer of sushi in Bremen. There are also many other dishes that are also super delicious. It is always very crowded and often relatively loud. You should make a reservation, otherwise you often won't get a seat. We'd love to come back.

There's no arguing about the quality of the food, it's still top. Went to Yakumi 7-8 times today. What we notice is that the service is getting worse and worse. Sometimes parts of the order are not brought to the table or are extremely late; after the 4-5 round of orders it seems as if they are deliberately delaying it so that the guest doesn't order anything else. On our first visit about 5 years ago it cost €27. Today, after the last price increase and €39, I have to say that all in all, this is no longer really justified! I would like the guest's great experience to be the focus, as was the case two or three years ago, and not the profit. We'll probably come back, I know it's really delicious.

Now our ritual place for our monthly sushi meal. I can highly recommend it. Instead of depending on a band, each table orders food + drink via tablet. For value for money, I always recommend tea for drinking. It comes as a pot and if you like tea anyway, this is the best option. Always make a reservation. Without it it will be difficult to get something for a group.

Waiting time despite reservation but far too tasty

Well... My friends had all you can eat, I had al'a carte (can't eat much). Service for me was bad. Nobody has shown interest. My friend with all you can eat didn't get everything that was ordered. Either way, he got major gastrointestinal problems after eating at Yakumi.

The two of us were there for the first time. The all-you-can-eat buffet is really recommended. However, you should order the next course as soon as the timer has expired so that everything runs smoothly. Quality is right! We enjoyed everything very much. Staff friendly. Gladly again!

The food is good for a restaurant that offers buffet sushi via tablet. You can't really complain about it, it tastes good. The atmosphere is rather loud because the store is very busy! Not recommended for a quiet evening to chat. But highly recommended for solid good food! Be sure to reserve.

Update: I was back 14 days ago. Everything was great again. I was there for the first time. The food was great, although the sushi rice wasn't to my taste. But that probably has something to do with me. Everything else is top quality and really, really tasty. From the way it tasted and looked, everything was freshly prepared. The food wasn't fridge cold but was at a pleasant room temperature and therefore had a lot of taste! The service is great! I'll definitely take another 80 km drive there.

The all you can eat restaurant really had a lot to offer! It was my first time trying sushi and I couldn't have imagined a better restaurant for it than this one. There is a large selection of sushi dishes, as well as other typical Japanese dishes. Whether fried noodles, spring rolls, soup as a starter or ice cream for dessert, there was really everything and there is something for everyone. I can only recommend it and will definitely stop by there again. The price was really completely reasonable and justified.

The sushi was okay, but nothing more. The sushi fell apart and the fish tasted like nothing. We had a la carte food and not all-you-can-eat. The prices are completely okay. We are used to tastier sushi in Bielefeld.
