YAFO in Berlin

Das Essen ist ordentlich bis gut, das Mittagsangebot ist immer noch in Ordnung, auch wenn die Portionen etwas kleiner geworden sind. Absolut inakzeptabel ist jedoch der/die Kellner/in: Seine/Ihre Fingernägel sind mehrere Zentimeter lang. Ich habe beobachtet, wie er/sie ständig alles Mögliche angefasst hat, erst das Essen, dann die Teller. Absolut inakzeptabel! Lange Fingernägel haben in einem Restaurant absolut nichts zu suchen. Bitten Sie diese Person, ihre Fingernägel zu kürzen, denn es ist ekelhaft. Außerdem würde ich es sehr begrüßen, wenn Sie das Brot auf einen Teller oder in einen Brotkorb legen würden, anstatt es in eine viel zu kleine Tüte zu packen und dann auf den blanken Tisch zu stellen, der, seit ich dieses Lokal kenne, noch nie abgeräumt wurde. Ich weiß, dass es schwierig ist, in der Gastronomie Personal zu finden, aber die beiden Kellner/innen dort sind so gestresst und unorganisiert, dass es weder ihnen noch den Gästen gegenüber fair ist. Finden Sie eine kreative Lösung! Der Service war heutzutage in Berlin unterdurchschnittlich. Du hast uns ständig vergessen, und die Hälfte am Tisch hat sich Essen geholt, während die andere Hälfte nur auf das Essen der anderen gestarrt hat. Ja, ich weiß auch nicht. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich so schnell wiederkomme…

Ich war jetzt schon mehrmals hier und es ist einfach fabelhaft. Die Angestellten sind so freundlich und zuvorkommend, und das Essen ist köstlich. Wir hatten das neue Menü, das ein unglaubliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bot, aber wir mussten so viel mit nach Hause nehmen, dass es einfach zu viel war! Vielleicht könnten sie den Preis senken und kleinere Portionen anbieten? Auf jeden Fall: Unbedingt hingehen!

Das Essen hat nicht geschmeckt, der Service war unfreundlich und es ist total überteuert. Wer gut essen möchte, sollte lieber in ein authentisches arabisches Restaurant in der Sonnenallee gehen. Insgesamt eine wirklich schlechte Erfahrung.

Sauber und freundlich, professionelles Personal, man fühlt sich wie zu Hause beim Essen. Und der Hummus ist perfekt.

Es war wirklich ein komischer Laden. Die scheinen keine Ahnung zu haben, wie man orientalisches Essen zubereitet. Der Hummus war im Grunde nur Tahini mit etwas Hummus, statt Hummus mit Tahini. Blumenkohl und Aubergine waren extrem ölig und völlig geschmacklos. Die Eier waren kalt, als kämen sie direkt aus dem Kühlschrank. Irgendwann hörte ich zufällig mit, wie ein Mitarbeiter dem Küchenpersonal Anweisungen zur Zubereitung gab. Das war mit Abstand das Lustigste, denn die meisten Anweisungen waren komplett falsch. Ich komme selbst aus dem Nahen Osten und weiß daher genau, wie diese Gerichte schmecken sollten. Leider war das hier alles andere als authentisch.

Wir entschieden uns für die Empfehlungen des Küchenchefs und wurden mit einer beeindruckenden Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten überrascht. Wunderbar zubereitet und hervorragend zubereitet. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Köstliches Essen, tolle Atmosphäre, hilfsbereites und herzliches Personal. Der Blumenkohl ist himmlisch und ein absolutes Muss, aber das kann ich eigentlich über alle Gerichte sagen, die ich probiert habe. Sehr empfehlenswert, ich komme wieder!

Zweifellos das beste nahöstliche Essen in Berlin

Absolut leckeres Essen, super Bedienung, gerade auch für Veggie Esser ein Paradies. Wir waren begeistert von all dem Dips und Aufstrichen, das Pita Brot, Rote Beete Salat ... unbedingt die Zucchini Chips probieren - der Hammer. Wir haben zu dritt so alles mögliche bestellt und jeder hat von jedem probiert. Wir waren im Himmel. Einziges Minus wäre bei Preis-Leistung ... ein wenig überteuert für den Wareneinsatz ... jedoch wirklich köstlich.

Yafa ist mehr als nur ein Restaurant, es ist ein Erlebnis. Vom ersten Cocktail bis zum letzten Dessert war jedes Detail perfekt. Das Degustationsmenü war kreativ, raffiniert und voller Überraschungen. Herzlicher Service, ein fantastisches Ambiente und unvergessliche Aromen. Berlin hat viele angesagte Lokale, aber nur wenige hinterlassen einen bleibenden Eindruck – Yafa hat es definitiv geschafft.

Tolle Atmosphäre. Exzellenter Service, wir haben einige Empfehlungen für Speisen und Wein bekommen. Der Hummus und der geröstete Blumenkohl waren ein Gedicht (10/10). Auch das Lamm und der Frühlingssalat sind sehr zu empfehlen.

So ein schönes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und tollem vibe! Liebe die Gemütlichkeit und Wärme die Yafo ausstrahlt und das Essen schmeckt originell wie in tel Aviv, super gute Portionen und schön zum Teilen. Toll für ein Date oder Abend mit Freunden!

Ich war gestern dort zum Mittagessen und würde nicht wieder hingehen. Ich hatte vorher gefragt, wie viel Hähnchen/Lamm in den Mittagsgerichten enthalten ist, aber die Kellnerin konnte mir keine genaue Antwort geben, nur dass es „sättigend“ sei. Tatsächlich bestand es hauptsächlich aus Hummus mit sehr wenig Fleisch, was enttäuschend war. Uns wurde außerdem gesagt, das Getränk sei Pfirsich, aber es stellte sich als Aprikose heraus, was nicht gut ist, insbesondere wegen meiner Allergien. Der Service war auch nicht gut – einmal versuchten sie sogar, unsere Teller abzuräumen, während wir noch aßen. Außerdem war es so laut, dass wir uns kaum unterhalten konnten. Insgesamt fanden wir es für das Gebotene überteuert.

Was für ein toller Ort! Schöne Atmosphäre, guter Service und köstliches Essen! Alle Speisen sind perfekt gewürzt, frisch und von hoher Qualität. Die Weine sind lecker und der Service ist schnell und zuvorkommend. Die Feta-Chili-Brûlée ist superlecker (wenn auch etwas salzig); am besten teilt man sie zu dritt. Der Frühlingssalat ist ein Traum! Ein wunderschönes Dressing, kombiniert mit italienischem Käse, Erdbeeren und Haselnüssen. Das Hähnchen auf einem Brett war das Highlight des Abends. Super saftiges Hähnchen mit einer Art Curry-/Masala-Gewürzmischung, etwas Honig und einer cremigen Sauce (Tahini?). Köstlich! Das Lamm-Sinia-Sabzi war ebenfalls fantastisch. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das Essen war eine billige Kopie von mediterraner und nahöstlicher Küche. Abgestanden und geschmacklos. Sogar der Hummus. Die Konsistenz war unangenehm, fast wie abgepackter Hummus von Rewe.

Ich habe eine zusätzliche Portion bekommen, weil ich eine schwierige Diät einhalten muss. Sie waren sehr hilfsbereit. Es hat mir dort sehr gut gefallen.

Das ist der absolute Hammer! Alles perfekt (10/10). Normalerweise vergebe ich nicht die volle Punktzahl: Wie die Deutschen sagen würden, gibt es immer Luft nach oben, fast immer ist noch Luft nach oben. Aber dieses Restaurant hat vielleicht das beste Essen, das ich in den zehn Jahren, die ich in Berlin lebe, gegessen habe. Ich war schon ein paar Mal dort, und selbst heute – als eine große Veranstaltung stattfand – war das Essen erstklassig, das Personal hervorragend: immer freundlich, höflich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre ist einfach super! Absolut empfehlenswert! 🌸

Ein nettes kleines Restaurant, versteckt in einem industriell anmutenden Innenhof. Die Mittagskarte ist übersichtlich, bietet aber genügend Auswahl. Der Hummus war sehr cremig, aber etwas geschmacksarm. Ein toller Ort zum Mittagessen.

Eine große Auswahl an authentischen israelischen Gerichten und sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal, von dem einige sogar Hebräisch sprachen. Es war Chanukka, und als ich ankam, war die Chanukkia bereits angezündet, was dem Lokal eine festliche und herzliche Atmosphäre verlieh.

Waren total begeistert. Viel zu viel . Das nächste Mal bestellen wir kein Menü sondern einzeln. Alles war einfach herrlich und der Angestellte hat es uns sehr gut erklärt

Ein großartiges Erlebnis, erstklassiges Essen, sehr kreativ, besonders der karamellisierte Feta und die Zucchini-Pommes, das Challah-Brot war fantastisch – ehrlich gesagt, alles war einfach unglaublich. Ich war schon zweimal hier und werde definitiv wiederkommen. Es ist auch super, mit einer Gruppe hinzugehen, damit man alles bestellen und teilen kann, aber auch zu zweit ist es wunderbar 👌🏽

The hotel itself is fine, but I was really disappointed with the bathroom. It’s very small and doesn’t give a feeling of cleanliness. The dark-colored sink and shower make the space look dirty, and the toilet being yellowed was quite unpleasant. If these details are improved, the stay would be much better.

Das Essen war super, aber wir haben ewig darauf gewartet. Das ist wirklich neu. Anscheinend haben sich die Abläufe in diesem Restaurant mit der Zeit verschlechtert. Früher ging alles viel schneller.

Food was really tasty - I have only comment for lamb dish - amount of meat there was so little, that we shared the plate for two and had a meat maybe in one bite. The rest is very well.

It's become very expensive, the service is poor, the portions are small and rather tasteless. Not recommended.

The food is a DREAM, especially the chicken. So tender. The hummus and salad were also good. But the chicken – the best! The atmosphere is also very pleasant, but ask to be seated far away from the toilets, as the pipes there often smell really bad.

This restaurant with its very cozy atmosphere is highly recommended. The cuisine is incredibly delicious, featuring exceptional dishes. Everything is very tasty and prepared with great care 😉. We've eaten there twice now and have tried almost everything. Everything tasted fantastic, and we'll definitely be back at least a third time.

New staff are not on top of their job. I got my food late and cold. I also think the quality of the taste dropped too. I want to have at least warm food for this hefty price lunch. I am sorry but I not going to visit this place again.

We visited this place for dinner and had the feast menu option which came with so much food starting with several tasty pastes and dips, starters, salad, I would consider at least 2 dishes as mains and even some dessert together with Turkish coffee, overall it was much more than expected but the quality and taste of food was simply exceptional. We were blown away, will come back

I came for lunch to YAFO and had the hummus and schug as a starter. It took a while for our orders to be taken but that wasnt the biggest issue. The hummus tasted slightly burnt. I had the Shani’s Cauliflower as a main and it was quite plain. I will try it again in a couple of weeks might been a bad day.

Reasonable prices and good amount of food for a lunch special. When they say something is spicy they mean German spicy, so no worries about anything being hot.

I had the €15 lunch deal and really liked it. The bread is delicious and the hummus super creamy. I can recommend!

On this summer evening, the atmosphere in the courtyard is pleasant and relaxed. The food was presented to us promptly, and we were told to share it. This gave us a varied selection. The food was delicious, and everything came quickly. The service was attentive and cooperative...although you should speak English, otherwise it can get confusing. I'd be happy to come back.

Booking at Yafo was a little difficult - the restaurant cancelled/changed the date/time twice but were very nice about it and organised a nice goodwill gesture on the finally organised date. But once we got there, the restaurant was excellent - casual, chatty service and the server knew the menu inside out. I'd definitely suggest that if you're used to UK sized 'sharing plates' to order fewer dishes - the portions for sharing were pretty big! The servers can help and advise. Loved the experience, sitting in the square and the delicious Wedding Houmous. Very much recommended for a Berlin trip and for vegetarians particularly.

-Lukewarm food served! -Price-performance ratio was good 👍, -Service was too slow, and my friends and I felt very strange, almost arrogant, as if they didn't want to serve us (I don't know if it's because my friends and I are Black). -The atmosphere was okay, nothing special, but not run-down either. -In conclusion, for the money, you can eat better elsewhere.

You guys gotta stop by on the weekend and try the grilled watermelon salad (and everything else on the menu imho). Even seemingly simple dishes (fried zucchini, spring salad) are absolutely mouthwatering thanks to the special seasoning and attention to details. Everything is home-made, these people really go the extra mile to make sure you’re well set and feel cared for. The atmosphere is cozy romantic and intimate, but also funky and cool—the terrace is in a private area quite far from street and noises. I was there on a Friday and it was super enjoyable. The team is top notch go give them a clap and extra tips—they deserve it all!

I really love traditional Arabic food, but somehow the true flavours of this food didn’t come through… everything looks good, and their PR is very professional but to me it feels like hype over substance

Located in a very cute backyard, it's a nice place to sit outside in the weather. Had the lunch deal for 15€ with a main (Hummus chicken), pita, lemonade and labneh. The taste was delicious and the portion was filling. Price definitely justified for the lunch menu but I cannot judge the evening prices which generally seem on the higher side.

An all-around perfect experience! I celebrated my birthday here; the staff was super friendly and accommodating; it was no problem converting vegetarian dishes to vegan. The food itself was amazing, especially the cauliflower and eggplant. 10/10

This restaurant is an absolute no-brainer! We went with a group and ordered a bit of everything. There's something for everyone here—whether you like meat, vegetarian, or vegan. The best part: no matter what the dish was, everything tasted absolutely amazing :) The staff explained the dishes, their origins, and how they were prepared, making dining at YAFO a truly special experience :)
