Feinberg’s in Berlin

Generally speaking, it's a nice restaurant, and the food is good. Unfortunately, I had a terrible case of diarrhea after my last visit. I think it was because of the dirty glasses, which I only noticed at the end. The staff were completely overworked and probably couldn't work properly. But that's actually excusable given the prices. Please do better, maybe I'll come back then.

This place is a complete joke! Not good. Already stealing food from other cultures is one thing but then lying to clients is another.

The food is not kosher!!!! Even though Google lists it as a kosher restaurant Beware of this The owners will not tell you that the restaurant is not kosher.. so pay attention!!

Feinbergs is an absolute insider tip for anyone who loves Israeli cuisine! The dishes are not only a highlight in terms of taste, but are also prepared with great attention to detail. The hummus variations and the fresh pita bread in particular are unbeatable - you can literally taste the quality of the ingredients. The ambience in the restaurant is warm and inviting, just the right place to spend a nice evening with friends or family. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Feinbergs has definitely become my new favorite place in Berlin - I'll be back!

Very tasty food and large portions. Although the restaurant was completely full on a Saturday evening, we didn't have to wait long for food and drinks, we'll be back.

The service was heavily involved that evening as a large group (regulars) had made reservations. So it was a bit loud and relaxing.

The kitchen is really recommended. The ambience is nice if you have a good table, but overall the tables are too crowded. Unfortunately, the service still left a lot of room for improvement. Not overly fast and not attentive. Very neutral and non-binding. We experience oriental hospitality differently in Berlin. But then the service really failed in the end. When it comes to baklava with ice cream, there is no indication that an alcoholic sauce is put over the ice cream. When the one person who never drinks alcohol noticed this, we asked the waiter, who initially denied it and then confirmed it after asking in the kitchen. But then there was no apology or exchange without alcohol. Just nothing. It was also calculated at 100%. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we won't be testing this again anytime soon.

Delicious Israeli food. We were there at lunchtime. The waiter was very nice and the food came quickly.

Super delicious food, great service and nice atmosphere.

Today was the first time there. The taste was really very good. I was very happy with the falafel plate. The staff was friendly but very slow. Even though the restaurant wasn't full at first, there was a long wait. Unfortunately the tables were very narrow. Comfort was missing. The pictures and canvases were very beautiful. Unfortunately, the dessert came with alcohol, even though it wasn't on the menu. Unfortunately there was no good service. The scoop of ice cream could have simply been brought again without eggnog. However, this was not offered. That was a shame.

The food is highly recommended, unfortunately some of the waiters seem to be a bit inexperienced, as the orders (the waiting time for food is not included) as well as requests for the menu or the sugar tax took a long time or were only followed up after repetition. But they were all nice. A table reservation seems to be necessary for the evening.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the dishes are a real eye-catcher, and the atmosphere is stylish and cozy. The food was very good (lamb, chicken, hummus, babba ganush), small deduction for the falafel, which was too dry for my taste, and the only moderately cool white wine. The restaurant was - fortunately! - very well attended on this Sunday lunchtime, which probably posed a certain challenge for the service. Therefore a small deduction here too. But overall a positive experience; we will definitely come back!

I must first point out that I appreciate the effort, in a city like Berlin where finding gluten-free options is a feat, to have gluten-free dishes on the menu. Celiac disease is an illness, not a whim. The possibility declared on the menu encouraged me to try this restaurant, I also have a celiac daughter who I try not to make feel always excluded. In the end, one of the two gluten-free dishes (chicken cutlet) was not available and the other one I ordered in its place, kebab and chickpeas, was delivered to me telling me that it was not guaranteed to be gluten-free. You should tell me this when I order, not when you hand me the dish. I really hate to criticize, but I hope this can be of use to other celiacs.

Great! The service is very attentive, the dishes are unique and there is a good selection of wines.

Very nice and delicious evening in a special atmosphere. We had beetroot carpaccio and hummus platters and sabiche and cauliflower and schnitzel with fries: quite delicious. The Sauvignon blanc also tasted great, and a Negroni at the end was also well mixed.

Yesterday the five of us had 2 x Israeli MischMash (one vegetarian and one with meat). So actually for four people, but it was also plenty for the five of us. Highly recommended if you want a bit of everything. The food was consistently excellent. Our table in the far corner of the cellar seemed a bit strange at first. But it was very pleasant because of the peace and quiet and the service that always felt present, despite the remote location. The escape and rescue route only via the one staircase from the basement certainly only seems capable of improvement for a "safety guru" like me.

Exceptional place. Very well located a stone's throw from the Kudamm. Very tasty typical Israeli dishes. We have rarely eaten so well, plentiful and high quality. Without doubt one of the rare places where you can drink Goldstar beer in Berlin. Attentive and multilingual service. Soberly decorated room. Ambient and live music on certain days. I absolutely recommend!!

If you're looking for incredible Israeli food in Berlin in a classy, beautiful location -- Feinberg's is it! My first visit was so good, I had to go back the very next day. From their sabich to their hummus plates, baklava and cocktails, everything I tasted was beyond delicious. The service too was so professional: friendly, fast, welcoming and multilingual!! Thank you for two amazing experiences, I will definitely be back!

Feinberg’s in Berlin is simply fantastic! I had the hummus with kebab, and it was perfect—the hummus was creamy and flavorful, the kebab juicy and well-seasoned. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was great. I left completely satisfied and will definitely be back!

Big disappointment, all the food on the menu is actually Arabic. I find that very unfortunate. Does Israel not have its own courts? I really expected more. In addition, the food tastes much better with a real Arab - it's just a few copies overpriced - it's also what a crime. I would give zero stars if possible. Absolutely not recommended because I don't go to a Lebanese or Palestinian. Then it tastes good too.

There were two of us in the great restaurant. Unfortunately, in the first step only the table right next to the toilets in the basement was free. It smelled like toilet stone there. After we decided to eat there anyway, it was quite amusing and we took it with humor. Luckily for us, a waiter came a short time later and pointed out to us that there was a free table upstairs in the dining room. Unfortunately, something went wrong when ordering the starters due to the language barrier. We ordered small portions as a starter, but received large ones. Now about the food! This meal absolutely convinced us. Whether the salad, hummus or mixed falafel platter. It was outstanding. We would therefore recommend it to everyone, but you should reserve in advance.

Very nice restaurant with a simple, clean, decor. The tables were nicely laid. Service was great. The waiter actually came by to ask if everything was alright. That never happens in Berlin. I had an Israeli beer and Honey Mustard Chicken with rice. I think the chicken was reheated but it tasted just fine. The rice was simple but flavorful. Prices were reasonable. I'll definitely visit again.

Very good restaurant: The food is incredibly tasty and well thought out. Some of the drinks are also available in a carafe (1 l) to share. The sodas don't just taste like syrup, but really like what's in them. The hummus is absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate soufflé for dessert and it had a Dubai chocolate topping which was amazing. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and the table is beautifully set. However, you can only pay in cash, but we were already informed of this on the phone.

I loved the Israel Restaurant! The hummus was incredibly tasty, fresh and creamy. The portions were generous and the price-performance ratio was great. A great place for authentic Israeli cuisine!

The food tasted the same, everything was submerged in the oil. Too big portions, too much bread for every dish. The service wasn't the best either. Forgot to add drinks to the bill. I waited a long time for the bill.

The food is very good, the service is very courteous and friendly. Allergens are dealt with excellently. The only downside: it quickly gets quite loud in the room, making it a bit tiring to hold a conversation. Otherwise it is an absolute recommendation.

Food was first class but service really wasn't good. Wrong food, cold food, lack of information or obvious miscommunication between the individual forces. Difficult order taking took a long time. The hummus was great, but I won't come back just because of the staff. But they were friendly.

Ordered food early in the evening, waited for an hour and then the order got cancelled.

It was my first time in a Jewish restaurant and I therefore relied on the waiters' recommendations, which never disappointed. The service was attentive but not intrusive. We paid around €90 for two people with a starter, main course and dessert, which was quite reasonable. There is only a small deduction for the ambience, as the tables are very close together and I was afraid of clearing the neighboring table when I put on my jacket. In any case, Feinbergs is worth a visit, especially if, like me, you have had no experience with Jewish cuisine.

You put a lot of effort here and still seem disoriented.

We have enjoyed ordering here for a few years. The food tastes very fresh and less finished than in comparable shops. Today we were accidentally delivered the wrong food. The restaurant responded so incredibly kindly, diligently and accommodatingly that we were totally touched. We have rarely experienced such great customer service! The white cabbage salad is by far my favorite dish and the sabich with mushrooms. We will definitely continue to eat and order there!

Terrible service, rude and inexperienced. If you book a table there is no timeslot in the confirmation email so they can just lie about the time you booked the table and say you were late so they gave it away. The food is nice though, too bad the mood is ruined before getting to it.

I as a black African went with a friend of mine who is Jewish to support the restaurant after hearing that they struggling due the conflict between Israel and Palestine. In return our experience was disappointing. It started with the unprofessional waiter who completely disregarded our order and without any explanation nor apology. To make the matter worse , the exact menu that we have order was served to the table next to us and they just there for no more than twenty minutes. We don’t recommend this place when you can go in Berlin where you are welcome.

Feinberg’s is one of my go to restaurants in Berlin. It’s always busy so book ahead. Food has been consistently good for me. I went recently without a reservation. They had no space but let me sit outside when I asked, and turned the heaters on for me. My waitress was incredibly kind and attentive even though I was the only one outdoors. She checked on me regularly. Price was reasonable for a sophisticated restaurant in this area of Berlin. See you again soon.

A very nice restaurant with friendly young employees. And a rich menu in which there is something tasty for every guest.

I look back on my visit to Feinbergs with mixed feelings. The food, without a doubt, was delicious and the ambience was harmonious - a little piece of Israel in the middle of Berlin! But unfortunately the dining experience couldn't save the poor service. Our orders were mixed up several times, and there was a kind of chaos that almost spoiled my appetite. As if that wasn't enough, I had to watch my family eat for a good half hour while my own meal was lost somewhere in the kitchen. As a small “compensation” there were only two inedible espressos on the house - a gesture that unfortunately offered little relief. The matter continued with payment: here too, the staff seemed hopelessly overwhelmed, which caused additional confusion. I give it two stars, and only because the taste and atmosphere were able to turn things around to some extent. Nevertheless, the bitter aftertaste of the chaotic service remains in the memory.

We went there yesterday to spend my birthday with eight people for the first time. I read about the restaurant's difficult situation in the newspaper. Then I decided to go eat there. I have no experience with Israeli food yet. I can say it was worth it. A lot of things had to be explained to us first. It was very, very tasty. Thank you for the lovely evening. Just put the Star of David everywhere with sauce and taraaa we have Israeli food? This is Arabic cuisine, or was there also hummus, kibbeh and falafel in Jewish restaurants in Berlin before 1948???? Country Culture Food ....everything stolen!!!! Sad!

Ordered with great expectations and bitterly disappointed, most of it is simply copied from Arabic cuisine and you can get it prepared with more love on every corner in Berlin and definitely cheaper. I had the feeling that every dish was not fully prepared, everything seemed bland and tasteless. No, this review has neither a political nor religious background.
