Feinberg’s in Berlin

A great, authentic restaurant with healthy soul food. I've rarely eaten so well. I had the sabich with grilled chicken. The marinated chicken tasted fantastic. The bed of vegetables was rich and perfectly prepared. Flavorful, well-balanced sauces were drizzled over the dish. The pita and pickled vegetables complicated the dish. The portion was enormous, too big for me to finish.

An absolute must-have. Absolutely delicious, super friendly team. I'd love to come back.

Great food, terrible service! Value for money is out of the question. A bit more smiling and friendliness should be a topic of discussion in team meetings. What a shame!

This was actually my first time dining here. I really like the ambiance. Simply yet comfortably furnished, with a fairly large outdoor area, Feinberg's invites you to linger. The well-stocked menu, with typical Israeli dishes, includes everything your heart and stomach desires, from delicious salads and hummus dishes to a variety of chicken dishes. This is rounded out by truly attentive service, although it did occasionally take a little too long to arrive. But we easily tolerated this thanks to the excellent food and the chilled drinks—they also serve good Israeli wines, of course. I'd love to come back!

I went there with my sister – a complete disaster. Unfriendly service, endless wait times, and the food? Unkind, cold, and tasteless. Even frozen food would have tasted better. Save yourself the trip – your nerves and your money are better spent elsewhere. Never again!

Anyone who takes a public stance must also expect public reactions.

Very tasty food, lovely restaurant, but the service was really poor, inattentive, and disinterested. During the entire meal, not a single question was asked if everything was OK, or if we wanted something to drink, nothing!

Feinberg's is a wonderful place to try authentic Israeli food. We eat here regularly. :) We love the warm atmosphere and welcoming international clientele, and the owner is a very pleasant person. There are many vegan options. The vegan shakshuka and the baked cauliflower with tahini are delicious! And I love the Israeli salad. They also offer gluten-free bread, which is important to us. We've always been very satisfied and can highly recommend Feinberg's. *****

The meal was delicious, but the service was terrible. A cocktail was placed on the table, the food was brought, and then we were left alone. No one asked if everything was okay or if we wanted something after our cocktail. When we asked for the manager, who was supposed to be there, there was no response, and he didn't show up either! Unfortunately, there's no "minus" in the application scale!

I came here on a recommendation, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The price/performance ratio is completely out of whack. The food was described to me completely differently than what was served. Avoid this place at all costs and look for one of the many other restaurants.

Feinberg's is definitely recommended if you want to eat Israeli food in Berlin. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. In summer, it's best to sit outside. In the evenings, I recommend making a reservation in advance.

After my last visit, I got food poisoning. The hospital said it was salmonella. Never again! I enjoyed eating here. It used to be a good restaurant.

Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed with the service and the food. Especially since the food isn't exactly cheap. However, when I saw a hair in the food, I immediately felt sick. Unfortunately, I won't be visiting the restaurant again.

The service was unfriendly and practically pressured me to tip. Since the food wasn't prepared well either, I didn't leave one. It happens; not every restaurant can be good. Besides, most of the food isn't even Israeli.

To be honest, I expected more. The service wasn't the friendliest, and we waited an extremely long time for our food, which tasted okay. Unfortunately, for the price, it was a no-brainer for us.

I was on a short vacation in Berlin and heard the restaurant was good, but I don't think it was!

The food is simply great. Nicely made, delicious, great service. Exactly how Israeli food should be done.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food didn't live up to expectations. What was particularly striking was that the fish served neither seemed fresh nor tasted good. The service also left a lot to be desired. So, I'll never go back there again. I'd rather save myself the trouble.

Food was good apart from the pickles which were really salty. Didn’t pay for them, so not too worried. Meal was great and they provided me with a gluten free bread option instead of the regular flatbread which was great.

It used to be better. At some point the quality changed. There were probably savings made in certain areas/important areas. Unfortunately, a visit is no longer worth it... At least the offering is still pleasant.

I was there with a friend. Unfortunately we waited a long time until we were taken to the square. The food was simply ok - no soul and little to tell about the culinary aspects. For me, dinner at Feinberg’s is part of every stay in Berlin. Anyone looking for authentic Israeli cuisine of the highest quality and standard will find it here. Added to this is the friendly and extremely accommodating staff.

Last evening I visited Feinberg's, which was recommended to me. I chose the Sabich chicken. Unfortunately, it later turned out that the chicken was not completely cooked. The result was very unpleasant food poisoning. This pretty much ruined my night and the day that followed. So far I actually had a positive impression of the restaurant but now I can only advise against visiting it and wouldn't come back.

Came because of the many good reviews, but were unfortunately very disappointed. Of course, Israeli cuisine is close to Arabic, but you still had the feeling of eating Arabic here. That's not the problem, but the taste of the food was quite bland and, above all, some of it was cold! Our friendly tip was responded to very rudely and in the end no solution was offered. Unfortunately I can't recommend it, it's a shame

Poor service, quality has decreased

I love hummus, baba ganoush & co. And I like being in Berlin because you get really good hummus here. That was also my hope when we went to Feinberg. We ordered from across the menu and were very pleased because of the many good reviews. But what can I say? Food looks good, nicely presented on nice plates. But unfortunately the taste is beyond good. On top of that, unfriendly service who makes “joking” comments about tips. Totally uncomfortable...

We deliberately chose the restaurant because we don't know the cuisine. The decor is very cozy and the cuisine is very tasty. The staff is very attentive. The shakshuka was surprisingly very spicy, but very good. The sea bass was rather good by German standards, but also very good. We can recommend it in any case.

Very nice service...tasty food and nice terrace

We wanted to eat here, were assigned a table, a menu on page 1 you can only pay in cash... and then nothing happened at first... after a while the order was taken at the next table and behind us. (came at the same time as us) We were ignored, after another 10 minutes of people walking past us, even though we tried to make ourselves noticed, we left. Without words!!!

A great and authentic Israeli restaurant in Berlin. The food is very tasty, large portions, the price-performance ratio is good. And there's Goldstar beer! 😋 Only 4 stars for the food because the hummus wasn't really good. Sometimes too “limp”, sometimes too much tahina 🤷‍♀️ Even the perfectly seasoned BabaGanoush can’t get rid of it. But the menu is so varied, I still found more than I could eat 😊 Special recommendation: the dip places for two (also for three) and Shakshuka with Merguez😋

We ate the vegetarian Israeli MischMasch Platter. It consisted of a variety of different dishes. Everything was very tasty and tasted excellent. We would be happy to come back and definitely recommend the restaurant.

Generally speaking, it's a nice restaurant, and the food is good. Unfortunately, I had a terrible case of diarrhea after my last visit. I think it was because of the dirty glasses, which I only noticed at the end. The staff were completely overworked and probably couldn't work properly. But that's actually excusable given the prices. Please do better, maybe I'll come back then.

The food is not kosher!!!! Even though Google indicates it as a kosher restaurant beware of it The owners will not tell you that the restaurant is not kosher.. so pay attention!!

Feinbergs is an absolute insider tip for anyone who loves Israeli cuisine! The dishes are not only a highlight in terms of taste, but are also prepared with great attention to detail. The hummus variations and the fresh pita bread in particular are unbeatable - you can literally taste the quality of the ingredients. The ambience in the restaurant is warm and inviting, just the right place to spend a nice evening with friends or family. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Feinbergs has definitely become my new favorite place in Berlin - I'll be back!

Very tasty food and large portions. Although the restaurant was completely full on a Saturday evening, we didn't have to wait long for food and drinks, we'll be back.

The service was heavily involved that evening as a large group (regulars) had made reservations. So it was a bit loud and relaxing.

The kitchen is really recommended. The ambience is nice if you have a good table, but overall the tables are too crowded. Unfortunately, the service still left a lot of room for improvement. Not overly fast and not attentive. Very neutral and non-binding. We experience oriental hospitality differently in Berlin. But then the service really failed in the end. When it comes to baklava with ice cream, there is no indication that an alcoholic sauce is put over the ice cream. When the one person who never drinks alcohol noticed this, we asked the waiter, who initially denied it and then confirmed it after asking in the kitchen. But then there was no apology or exchange without alcohol. Just nothing. It was also calculated at 100%. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we won't be testing this again anytime soon.

Delicious Israeli food. We were there at lunchtime. The waiter was very nice and the food came quickly.

The food is highly recommended, unfortunately some of the waiters seem to be a bit inexperienced, as the orders (the waiting time for food is not included) as well as requests for the menu or the sugar tax took a long time or were only followed up after repetition. But they were all nice. A table reservation seems to be necessary for the evening.

Today was the first time there. The taste was really very good. I was very happy with the falafel plate. The staff was friendly but very slow. Even though the restaurant wasn't full at first, there was a long wait. Unfortunately the tables were very narrow. Comfort was missing. The pictures and canvases were very beautiful. Unfortunately, the dessert came with alcohol, even though it wasn't on the menu. Unfortunately there was no good service. The scoop of ice cream could have simply been brought again without eggnog. However, this was not offered. That was a shame.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the dishes are a real eye-catcher, and the atmosphere is stylish and cozy. The food was very good (lamb, chicken, hummus, babba ganush), small deduction for the falafel, which was too dry for my taste, and the only moderately cool white wine. The restaurant was - fortunately! - very well attended on this Sunday lunchtime, which probably posed a certain challenge for the service. Therefore a small deduction here too. But overall a positive experience; we will definitely come back!

I must first point out that I appreciate the effort, in a city like Berlin where finding gluten-free options is a feat, to have gluten-free dishes on the menu. Celiac disease is an illness, not a whim. The possibility declared on the menu encouraged me to try this restaurant, I also have a celiac daughter who I try not to make feel always excluded. In the end, one of the two gluten-free dishes (chicken cutlet) was not available and the other one I ordered in its place, kebab and chickpeas, was delivered to me telling me that it was not guaranteed to be gluten-free. You should tell me this when I order, not when you hand me the dish. I really hate to criticize, but I hope this can be of use to other celiacs.

Very nice and delicious evening in a special atmosphere. We had beetroot carpaccio and hummus platters and sabiche and cauliflower and schnitzel with fries: quite delicious. The Sauvignon blanc also tasted great, and a Negroni at the end was also well mixed.

Yesterday the five of us had 2 x Israeli MischMash (one vegetarian and one with meat). So actually for four people, but it was also plenty for the five of us. Highly recommended if you want a bit of everything. The food was consistently excellent. Our table in the far corner of the cellar seemed a bit strange at first. But it was very pleasant because of the peace and quiet and the service that always felt present, despite the remote location. The escape and rescue route only via the one staircase from the basement certainly only seems capable of improvement for a "safety guru" like me.

Exceptional place. Very well located a stone's throw from the Kudamm. Very tasty typical Israeli dishes. We have rarely eaten so well, plentiful and high quality. Without doubt one of the rare places where you can drink Goldstar beer in Berlin. Attentive and multilingual service. Soberly decorated room. Ambient and live music on certain days. I absolutely recommend!!
