Feinberg’s in Berlin

We went there yesterday to spend my birthday with eight people for the first time. I read about the restaurant's difficult situation in the newspaper. Then I decided to go eat there. I have no experience with Israeli food yet. I can say it was worth it. A lot of things had to be explained to us first. It was very, very tasty. Thank you for the lovely evening. We will remember you fondly and wish you all the best for the future.

We were there for the second time and can particularly recommend the vegetarian menu for two 😊. The price-performance ratio here is absolutely right 👍🏻.

Just put the Star of David everywhere with sauce and taraaa we have Israeli food? This is Arabic cuisine, or was there also hummus, kibbeh and falafel in Jewish restaurants in Berlin before 1948???? Country Culture Food ....everything stolen!!!! Sad!

Ordered with great expectations and bitterly disappointed, most of it is simply copied from Arabic cuisine and you can get it prepared with more love on every corner in Berlin and definitely cheaper. I had the feeling that every dish was not fully prepared, everything seemed bland and tasteless. No, this review has neither a political nor religious background.

Unfortunately, Palestinian food here is sold as “Israeli”.

Staff arrogant and complacent. You know that. Food is not convincing as it is overpriced and copies Arabic cuisine.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. But it’s only because of one staff personel - Ivan. He was super friendly and helpful whole night.. and he really helped me to pick the dish that satisfied my tastes… he is presantable, looks very handsome and nice. I would definitely go there again, for food of course but also for him. Give this man a rise!!

Super delicious food! From excellent mezze like hummus, the airy falafel and great eggplant cream to shakshuka and dessert. We had potato pancakes with applesauce. Like grandma used to. Great!

Super great food and nice service.

This was our second time at Feinberg's and the evening was great again. The reservation worked wonderfully and the waiter was able to advise us well on the selection and number of dishes. This gave us a great selection of different dishes and flavors and we were able to try a lot. In addition, a small live band with Israeli music sweetened our evening. At the end there was a liqueur from the boss on the house. We would be happy to come back on our next visit.

When me and my Mischpoke are in Berlin, a visit here at Feinberg's is always a must. A few months ago the boss was sitting at the next table and we talked a little. Yorai is a brave man who keeps his nose to the wind and defies all hostility online and on site. Good this way! My favorite dish is the Jerusalem platter, I've actually never eaten anything else here. Maybe next time my wife will convince me to try the Shakshuka Merguez, which she really enjoyed. Oh, definitely try the Maccabee beer! Last time it was sold out and was delivered exactly when we were there. And I looked longingly at boxes of warm beer. Next time for a beer and more, dear Yorai. מזל טוב

Good food, very bad service: the order taken was obviously not saved, the main course came before the starter (without cutlery, all tables around were covered, our table was not - the many waiters have no overview and are uncoordinated), then came the starter, whereupon we had to send the main course back. We then had to wait 1 hour for the main course.

Food was so good ! You get good taste of chicken and lamb kebab with salad and pickles. Everything was exceptional too good ! I just felt tahini was a bitter or tasted different which i usually have. But food is like 5/5 !!! Even the drinks 🤌🏼 !! Was really happy and satisfied. Plus no card payment !!

In a strange twist, when you search for a kosher restaurant in Berlin, you appear first, When the atmosphere in the restaurant is very Jewish. I am a person who eats kosher. I was surprised when I arrived at the restaurant and asked for something kosher. The waiter looked at me like an alien and of course told me that he did not understand how I could ask for such a thing and that he could not offer me something kosher. It's a shame that there are kosher photos in the review and that you appear as a result of kosher in Berlin. It makes people wrong and uncomfortable.

Unfortunately there are no plastic straws on site. Still 5/5 ⭐️ for the authentic Israeli cuisine.

A really great restaurant, super delicious food. I had hummus with mushrooms there yesterday and it was the best I've eaten so far. The selection of vegan dishes is very large, even for Berlin. It's also super nice both inside and outside, and since it's on a side street it's also super quiet. The people in attendance are all super friendly too. 🇮🇱💛

Fantastic Israeli food! We particularly recommend the Israeli platter for two people – we really enjoyed it. Only the wine was not convincing, neither the Sauvignon Blanc included in the menu nor the additionally ordered one. With a better wine selection and a slightly more coordinated service, this would be the perfect restaurant for a successful evening in Berlin.

Huge disappointment! Bland uninspired food, cheap Zweigelt and completely overpriced.

A small mistake was made up for by politeness and understanding. Otherwise very tasty dishes and drinks, very friendly service.

Totally good and super tasty food. Very nice and courteous service. It's very nice to sit inside. In summer you can also eat outside. We'll be back. Recommended in any case. Especially the Shashuka mot Merguez sausage. Top!

Unfortunately, it took a long time to eat, it was cold and I had a hair in my falafel. Maybe it's time to do it yourself, but it's very unpleasant. In fact, there was a very unpleasant smell in the store that day (it was the first time there) and to make matters worse, it was also quite expensive. Although the staff was very friendly, it was probably the last time.

Visited during a quiet Sunday afternoon, when it was easy to find a table and with relaxed but friendly and assertive service. Had sea bream fish on the bone, which was freshly cooked and nicely flavoured (stuffed with fresh sliced lemon and bay leaves). The fish was served with seasoned rice and salad. Nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks (opted for sparkling elderflower, which was available in 3 sizes; S, M and L). And then enjoyed espresso macchiato afterwards. Portion plentiful and so did not have a pudding afterwards. The place was clean and tidy, including the bathroom. The menu was available in German and English. Recommend.

The restaurant does what it promises. It's a nice atmosphere, delicious food, creatively designed and a very friendly team. The price-performance ratio is right. We ate very extensively and the wine was a must. Unfortunately, I don't come to Berlin often and I live further away, but the next time I'm in Berlin, the Feinerg's restaurant is a must for me. For me, the best Israeli restaurant in Berlin. Located in a quiet side street near the zoo, the restaurant offers everything your heart desires: delicious food, friendly service and a great atmosphere. When we are in Berlin, a visit is a must.

I would never go to this store because the prices are ridiculously overpriced. And there is no such thing as Israeli cuisine and this restaurant proves it with distinction - no dish is Israeli - or is schnitzel Israeli too? That's good, but it's sad what quality the aubergine is. The wine, whatever they call merlot, is syrup and there is no better way to describe it. Sorry, but anyone who thinks so much about taking money out of people's pockets is greedy. And anyone who thinks they have eaten good falafel here or thinks they know hummus is wrong, you can also buy hummus in the supermarket. It's just as good. And falafel makes every snack better and cheaper.

It's now a "no go" when the menu in a restaurant of this size says "cash only". Sorry as a customer you don't understand that, the food was ok, but unfortunately not more than ok. I expected better. Ambience is quite nice.

I 'stumbled across Feinbergs' while searching for a restaurant on Google Maps, just went by and didn't regret it. From a very courteous service to a diverse selection to a varied and very tasty meal, the whole thing turned into a lovely evening. Highly recommended and a must for us on our next visit to Berlin.

The food was rock hard and cold, when I asked why that was the case, all I said was “either you eat this or you leave” I've never heard anything so outrageous. Restaurant not recommended due to the service and staff. PS: You can also get this food from Palestinian restaurants, as “Israeli” food comes from Palestinian cuisine anyway.

Review of the box from Get-Voila: The box contained a lavish selection of mezze: hummus, which was good, but not quite as good as my homemade one, very good baba ganoush, an interestingly sparkling sweet beetroot dip, as well as various delicious salads such as white cabbage, red cabbage and mushroom salad . The bread and the side dishes such as labneh and tabbouleh were consistently delicious, but the effort required to serve them with various spices was a bit excessive. The need to shape and fry the falafel and börek yourself, as well as the decorative finish, felt unnecessary and somewhat diminished the pleasure of cooking. The accompanying baklave was unfortunately dry and the pistachio dessert, although visually appealing, did not round off the menu outstandingly. At 60 euros, the box was fairly priced considering it was enough for four people, but the total effort seemed too high compared to the result. For future culinary adventures, I'll probably stick to my trusty Turkish deli or prepare the dishes myself.

You can find much better quality at better prices in other districts and stores, so the focus should be on the products here. The service team is extremely overwhelmed and annoyed, you feel neither welcome nor comfortable. Super big minus point - cash only! Not possible these days.

Very tasty Israeli food and a large selection. The two of us ate the “Israeli MischMasch”, a very diverse and very generous Israeli menu with various dips and pita as a starter and various types of meat with side dishes as a main course. There was also a glass of Israeli Kiddush wine. Really very tasty and a lot, we didn't manage to eat it all.

The food is wonderful and the staff is so charmingly friendly. All of these bad reviews are clearly politically motivated and that is completely unfair to this restaurant. We had our grandma with us and she was thrilled too. The hummus in particular is divine. It's not overpriced either. Good food and attentive service don't come for free. We'd love to come back.

Were there as part of further training on Jewish life. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice, the service is also great. We had the buffet, which was a bit expensive for my taste but solid. I'd love to come back.
