We visit this place quite often because of the tasty food, friendly people, and cozy atmosphere.

Good food, but unsatisfactory service. When visiting a restaurant, the quality of the dishes is just as important as the service – and that includes greeting the guests as they enter, ordering, and serving the food and drinks. Added to that: 'Massel Topf' is certainly not the cheapest restaurant. A friendly good evening to every guest should be just as standard as not placing glasses and plates on the table without a word and a sneer. The question of whether the meal was tasty and a goodbye were also missing – sorry, but every Arabic falafel stand has more heart...

Very delicious, high-quality food. We didn't really want to eat much, so we only chose an appetizer. But it was so delicious that we kept eating out of sheer appetite and desire. We would come back anytime.

We were really looking forward to our visit, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment overall. Despite having a reservation and only one occupied table in the restaurant, we were seated right next to a group of five. When we asked to change tables, we were only offered a seat next to the restroom aisle. We weren't offered any tables by the window—those were given to guests who walked in spontaneously (without a reservation) after us. My main criticism, however, concerns the meat: I would never have expected to find blood in the meat from a Jewish restaurant. This was especially disappointing for me because I'm pregnant and therefore pay particular attention to the preparation of my food. Furthermore, we weren't asked in advance how we'd like our meat cooked.

It was our wedding anniversary, and I spent quite some time trying to decide where to go to surprise my wife. In the end, I chose this restaurant, and it was the best choice I could have made! Inside the restaurant, we found a beautiful table with a white tablecloth, decorated with rose petals. The atmosphere was simply incredible, pictures can’t capture it. The whole experience was made even more special by live piano music. The service was excellent - the waiters were very friendly and never intrusive. The food was amazing. Honey Brisket was the most delicious meat I’ve ever had. For dessert, the cheesecake was perfect. If you’re looking to have a romantic evening or surprise someone special, Masel Topf is the perfect place!

Initially, we were greeted warmly, but our reservation seemed to be clear, at least not to everyone, and there were several questions. The meal, including the starter, was rated as good, and the main course as excellent. Unfortunately, the rosé wine that accompanied it wasn't chilled enough. Incidentally, we (2 people) were denied a requested table (for 4 people), which initially seemed perfectly understandable, but then 5 minutes later it was given to two other people – unfortunate to say the least. There were no paper towels in the restroom, which was unhygienic. The restaurant is still highly recommended.

From the bright, friendly greeting and attentive service of Angelina to the quaint, old world atmosphere this sweet gem of a restaurant is a must visit when in the Prenzlauer Berg area. BUT the amazing food is a reason to return again and again. My husband ordered the Honey Brisket - perfection and I ordered the Jerusalem platter. Divine flavour in every diverse bite. Highly highly recommend. Cannot remember when I’ve enjoyed a meal out as much.

The food was unfortunately a bit disappointing; the €24 starter plate was too expensive, as was the falafel plate. The falafel tasted good, but the portions were much too small and lacked refinement. I can get better and cheaper options at a snack bar. The lamb was okay. The pearl barley risotto was very well-done. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere inside was cozy, although the tables were very close together.

One of the best restaurants in Berlin. When we were there on a Saturday evening, a lady played the piano incredibly beautifully, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The service was excellent. The same goes for the food – creative dishes, freshly prepared, and delicious. We highly recommend the restaurant.

We had spent a very delicious early dinner here. Our waitress was very attentive, service was excellent. The Salted Caramel & Chocchoc is to die for! Must try! We'll definately return should we be visiting Berlin again.

I like eating Israeli food, but this one not only made me wait a long time for my food, but there were also many fellow Israelis at the next table who were talking very loudly and behaving in a way that would not be tolerated in any restaurant. Next door to them was a family with a child who left the restaurant without having finished their food! A no-go in my eyes. I don't know if that's the arrogant Jewish way or if it was an exception, but in conclusion... never again.

I ordered out and and ate in many times. Recently, the delivered orders are below any standard: - Shawarma had one (1) little piece of chicken, and that pink in the middle (undercooked) - grill plate had a bigger piece of chicken, also pink inside. Merguez/kebab was equally raw. Overall quality of dishes for delivery has sunk a not just the undercooked meat, also other aspects like soggy pitas, unblended sauces, etc.

A thoroughly successful evening at Masel Topf We had a wonderful evening – super hospitable, incredibly good service, and an atmosphere that simply made you feel at home. Inside, there's a cozy living room vibe, while outside it's pleasantly quiet – perfect for relaxing. The service was particularly attentive: every time our water ran out, it was immediately refilled. You rarely experience such attention! The food was a real highlight – not only in terms of taste, but also in terms of appearance. We had: the goat cheese salad, cauliflower with truffle sauce, the eggplant platter, the falafel platter, and for dessert, an incredibly delicious chocolate cake with Thaina. Everything was fantastically prepared, and the wine was also impressive. We stayed until the end because the atmosphere was just so lovely. We'll definitely be back, thank you for everything, and keep up the good work!

We had the falafel plate and the fried cauliflower. Both were too small for main courses and of subpar quality. The cauliflower was cold. After complaining, it came back, only lukewarm. We asked for bread, but it wasn't brought. The value for money wasn't right for us.

I was walking around the berlin’s downtown area and i saw this wonderful restsaurant with unique design. Masel Topf it is a one of the best restaurant that i’ve visited in Berlin. This restaurant offer Israel cuisine. It was a really busy day at the restaurant, but service was still amazing as well as food. The atmosphere was awesome, there was a live music, piano player, such a nice classic music with the cozy atmosphere. The coctail was original, made by restaurant. I ordered Aperol Sour very light and ideally in combination with Blumenkohl & S-Chug ( it is vegeterian dish). The restaurant has vegan and vegeterians options as well, it is an advantage. Overall, it was such a nice experience. I would love to return to that place.

I ate the mezze plate. Supposedly the best of everything. But it was just marinated salmon on pancakes and zucchini rolls. It also came with flatbread cut into microscopically small wedges and at least two slices of white bread. Everything tasted bland, and the hummus was just plain bad. My request for more bread was granted, and I received two more slices, which added up to €1.50 to the bill. The menus are completely filthy and dirty, and the tables aren't clean either. I can't recommend this place at all and I'm annoyed I didn't go to Feinberg. The service wasn't the best either. They didn't even bother to ask whether I liked it. So stay away from this place.

The food was mediocre, but overpriced. The wait times were significantly too long—both for the food and for service. Some of the staff were unfriendly or disinterested. Particularly annoying: Two-thirds of the sidewalk in front of the restaurant is already blocked with tables and chairs, and plants and signs are also being placed on the narrow remaining space. Pedestrians, parents with strollers, and people with disabilities can barely get through. Completely inconsiderate.

Honestly, maybe other dishes are better, but my falafel plate was simply a disgrace for €17. A relatively small portion (there are numerous pictures here - the dough shell makes it look much larger), carelessly prepared, and with ingredients that sounded like they came from a can/packet, simply bland and inferior. There were about five falafel balls that were just about OK, then cheap feta thrown in straight from the plastic wrapper, with a few sour gherkin slices, a not-quite-ripe but already dried-out quarter of a tomato, a grilled eggplant slice, and a zucchini slice that had absolutely no seasoning or any flavor other than a sooty grill pan and hummus that could have come from a can. This is how I imagine a bachelor with minimal expectations, zero taste, and zero desire to prepare it would have dinner. You'd pay a maximum of €5 for something like this at any kebab stand and not bother going to a restaurant. Although the food at the snack bar is probably even fresher and tastier. Where all the good reviews come from is a mystery to me. Maybe they're all cheap tourists with no taste. I'm giving it a second star for the friendly waiter, even though after he got his shift change with the lip fillers, he had to smoke a cigarette right next to me before starting work. But that's not forbidden, just as bad food, lack of consideration, or substandard service are not forbidden. One would still wish for something more stylish in this beautiful location. Inside, it also looked like a worn-out living room. The view of the synagogue was the only nice thing.

Unfortunately, the menu was disappointing. We were expecting pierogi, goulash soup, and similar Eastern European dishes, or a real US hamburger, but traditional Arabic dishes seem to sell better...

I love this restaurant! Beautiful location, elegant decor, authentic Israeli food with a fusion food style, great service, and above all, the feeling of having experienced something special, created with passion and attention to detail. I highly recommend the "Trip to Jerusalem" plate, the mezze mixes, and their house specialty, the cardamom coffee (delicious, delicious, and a surprisingly good, unique taste). I first visited the restaurant around 12:20 PM without a reservation and immediately got a table for three people. If we had come at 1:00/1:30 PM, we wouldn't have gotten a table because it filled up quickly! I'll be happy to come back. :)
