Bobbe in Berlin

I've been waiting for many years to return to this restaurant (I was in 2019) The place is very nice and the service is smiling and pleasant The prices are also reasonable. I ordered cauliflower in tahini which came in a portion for two people - the cauliflower was tasty but partly hard. I also ordered a kebab which was tasty but not hot enough. In summary, a place worth going to and knowing what to order. The table next to me ordered schnitzel and it looked huge!

Wow The food is simply perfect. Kosher restaurants in the desert are always a story But here we arrived and the service was amazing, the food is amazing and the prices are reasonable It's worth coming!!

We were in Berlin for a day and a half, we accidentally found Buba, the place is charming, cozy, a pub restaurant, delicious kosher food, a rich bar. But that's nothing, the staff is the most kind, fun, sensitive and warm I've ever seen. I recommend or rather demand that you go, taste and wonder.

So another follow up review after almost a year, I wish the owners will read it. I know food cost increase and personal as well, but the hummus portion you serve is a joke, not even talking about the price , but the size it self is a joke on your costumer. You can see the plate under the small layer of hummus, and in less than a 1/4 of a pita there is no hummus more. The kebab was raw inside and not too much taste, shame. It is far far from the restaurant it used to be

Sehr gemütlich ohne besondere Stil, einfach so...Die Karte ist nicht sehr lange, es gibt aber alles was ich mag, oder was an die Küche meiner Mutter erinnert. Viel Gemüse, Fleisch gibt es auch für diejenigen, die gern Rind essen. Meine Lieblingsgerichte sind frittierter Blumenkohl und gerösteter Brokkoli, so schmackhaft mit Tahina und Nüssen, der Hummus gibt es auch, sehr cremig und mild. Wenige aber gute Weine aus Israel. A place for the true friends of Jewish cuisine... So not just a little hummus...

I was there yesterday with a friend, right from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the day. We felt very comfortable! The food is fantastic! Honestly, excellent quality, I could have eaten 3 of the eggplant! And the cauliflower is a dream, really great! The service is very friendly and accommodating, but not intrusive - perfect. We would love to come back! ♥️ All the best! Maybe the drink selection is a bit small for people like me who don't drink alcohol...

We were greeted pleasantly. Great service. Stylish food. Pleasant music in the background. Well upscale prices. For my mother, who I had with me, it was a pleasant experience. And I was invited :) Addendum: If you order the delicious pita bread... Take several at once then you don't have to order as often and they don't have to run as often. ;)

A very high level kosher restaurant! For six days we returned several times, the schnitzel is very tasty at a surprising level for the sand! Delicious and warming couscous in this Berlin cold! Lovely host! Highly recommend

The first impression was very pleasant: we received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose our own table (since it was still early). The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. As the owner himself describes it, a lot of things were taken over from the old restaurant. The place is just incredibly cozy. The very atmospheric music underlined this. The food is very tasty. We had grilled eggplant (smoky) with tahini and beef kebab. Both delicious! Unfortunately, we weren't hungry enough to try the many other delicious dishes on the menu. But it wasn't the last time we were here. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant with delicious Israeli/Mediterranean cuisine, an atmospheric ambience and very friendly service. We enjoyed it very much.

Welcomed by lovley young waitress Gaya that took care of us all night with big smile , great food , great service, cant wait to visit again.

Nicely presented food, unfortunately small portions and too salty (meet, vegetables)/ smoky (eggplant). The Couscous was good. Very friendly staff, vintage furniture. Overall ok-ish, but overprized from my point of view.

Unfortunately, we couldn't eat at Bobbe on Christmas Eve despite making a reservation. A young lady regretfully assigned us a small table right at the entrance. The table was so small that it might be suitable for drinking coffee, but not for eating. She couldn't tell us when a decent table would become available. This was not how we imagined Christmas dinner would be. We left. Thank you Bobbe for an unpleasant experience on Christmas Eve!!! We'll definitely never come back.

It’s a very nice neighbourhood place . Food is good .

The food is tasty, however the portions are small. And the waitress didn’t speak German and her English was bad as well. Besides, she had problem giving back the change at paying.

Mal wieder im Hyperion Hotel, weil es ganz praktisch für mich liegt - aber immer wieder das gleiche Problem: Wo esse ich was, wenn ich keine Pizza will.... Also heute mal zu Bobbes Speisesalon, Glück gehabt, kleiner Tisch frei, Überraschung: Da ich weder weiß, was die einzelnen Gerichte auf der Karte warten noch ich wußte. was davon ich nehmen würde, habe ich die Wahl dem freundlichen Personal überlassen. Israelischer Wein, mehrere Vorspeisen, Hauptspeise. Da ich immer noch nicht weiß, was das alles war, spare ich Euch die Beschreibung - außer der Feststellung, dass alles wirklich toll war. Vor allem die Vorspeisen mit Humus, gebackener Aubergine, Tomatensalat und einem fantastischsten Brot ("Challa"?) haben mich geflasht. Die Hauptspeise wurde als gebackener Fisch angekündigt, hat mich aber eher an Fish & Chips erinnert und kam zudem noch mit Pommes. Das war nicht so mein Ding, was aber an mir lag (und dem Überraschungsmenü). Den anderen Bildern hier auf TA zu folgen, scheint das eines der beliebtesten Hauptgerichte zu sein. Ich würde beim nächsten Mal komplett fleischlos essen, damit sollte man hier den besten Deal machen. Ganz wichtig: Sagt vorher, wenn ihr eine Pause zwischen Vor- und Hauptgang wollt, ich habe es nicht getan und war mit a) noch nicht fertig, als b) schon serviert wurde. Kleinkram... Alles in allem eine echte Empfehlung für Liebhaber der israelischen Küche - und solche wie mich, die es werden wollen :)

I expected that there would be good kosher food, we got food at the level of a chef's restaurant, every dish was delicious, a great atmosphere and a high level of service that we lack a bit in Berlin. We don't keep kosher but we hosted a family that did, so I came with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The main dishes are of a good size and very tasty, the first ones were creative and interesting. The prices are good considering that this is a place that serves kosher meat. recommend

First time as an Israeli, super top place, very friendly staff and delicious food

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and the service was very nice. But the relationship between price and portion size is unfortunately too different. The portions are very small and cost a lot. The salad on the menu was iceberg lettuce with tomatoes dressed with vinegar and oil and was charged €8. This might be suitable as a side salad, but not as a stand-alone dish. The hummus only came with a small, cold bread. The price-performance ratio just doesn't really fit here.

Very cute, small restaurant with super nice and attentive staff! The menu isn't huge, but that's not a problem for me. Even as a vegan, I have a huge selection and can let off steam. We all had appetizers and they are all recommended. But my highlight was the fried eggplant. It was really good! A real enrichment for the neighborhood. We will definitely come back. 🖤

The food was delicious - the best we had in Berlin. The portion sizes of the starters and appetizers were generous (the main course less so). The cauliflower appetizer was incredible! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great restaurant with friendly service. You can sit outside, but it's also very nice inside. The food tastes good. The Israeli wine and the German beer too.

We had hummus, mullet, beef sausage, and side portions of salad and roast potatoes. My wife loved everything; I especially liked the hummus. The sausage is a little spicier than I expected, which may be a plus for some people and a minus for others. Mullet is (as I discovered) kind of a bland fish on its own, but was much better with the sauces they provided. Service was excellent. For example, the waiter cautioned us that a dish advertising greens contained broccoli, which neither of us thought to ask about.

Great food - excellent eggplant to start, great kebab, very well seasoned. Inconspicuous from the outside, the interior is very atmospheric, but it's really worth going in and eating!

I support Israel and like the country and food, so I went to Israeli restaurants. I used to live nearby, so I found it while taking a walk. Unfortunately, the rice and kebab didn't really suit me, but the other food was delicious. The kebabs were different from the Greek, Turkish or Central Asian flavors I was used to. The salad tasted better than the salad I ate in France or Greece in 2024. It was really delicious. And the dessert was delicious too. If you don't speak English, communication may be a bit difficult. The male staff are friendly. For salads and desserts, we recommend hummus.

Kosher and delicious! There is nothing on the menu that I don't like. Hummus is amazing. I love the cauliflower! Ask for daily specials. Reservation recommended.

I wanted to visit this restaurant last year but unfortunately it was closed so when this time when I returned, I booked a table with friends. This was my first Israeli restaurant and I was surprised how much I already knew about the food. Must say the place is lovely, easy going, friendly and the food is delicious. Loved it all especially the bread, kabab, and their version of crème brûlée with the most delicious rose flavour...I missed it the moment I got back to my hotel. When I return to Berlin , I will most certainly return again. Definitely check it out if you love authentic Mediterranean food with an easy going charm.

Quería visitar este restaurante el año pasado, pero desafortunadamente estaba cerrado, así que cuando volví, reservé una mesa con amigos. Este fue mi primer restaurante israelí y me sorprendió lo mucho que ya sabía sobre la comida. Debo decir que el lugar es precioso, fácil de llevar, amable y la comida es deliciosa. Me encantó todo, especialmente el pan, kabab, y su versión de crema brûlée con el más delicioso sabor de rosa. . . Lo perdí en el momento en que volví a mi hotel. Cuando regrese a Berlín, sin duda volveré de nuevo. Definitivamente compruébelo si le encanta la auténtica comida mediterránea con un encanto fácil de llevar.

The alleged good price-performance ratio is incomprehensible. A quarter piece of tomato, 3 minced meat balls and a mountain of rice along with an eighth of a red onion for 21 euros and a 45 minute waiting time can be described as expensive and not recommended, even if it tastes good. The atmosphere is like a student bar in the 70s, i.e. definitely not like Bobbe's, i.e. Grandma's. Grandma's wouldn't have a rickety table or broken light bulbs. The portions would also be more lovingly prepared. No comparison with Jewish food in Antwerp. Only the staff is exemplary. If this should be the best Jewish restaurant in Berlin: poor Berlin.

Had an absolutely fantastic evening in this lovely restaurant. So good I can again! The music, atmosphere, service are impeccable. In terms of the food this is without doubt one of the nicest meals I have had in a restaurant! I give this my full recommendation and I promise you will leave this happy with a full stomach and a happy heart.

אוכל טעים, אווירה אינטימית, שירות אדיב ביותר. נהננו מאוד מהכל. הזמנתי מרק עדשים, הטעם היה יחודי, לטעמי. הגשה הייתה אסתטית, מלצר שליווה אותנו, בחור מקסים, עוד לפני שהגענו, התקשרנו, הוא היה אדיב וסבלני. הכל היה מושלם. דבר יחיד שהיה לי להעיר עליו, התפריט קצת יקר והצענו להדפיס גם בעברית.

Leaving out the Otto Lenghi and Israel bonus - simple home cooking with minimal use of goods in a kind of student bar from the 1970s at inflated prices. A plate of fried cauliflower: 12.00 euros, chopped iceberg lettuce with tomato pieces and vinegar marinade: 8.00 euros, two fried eggs in tomato sauce euros 12.00. The menu is made up of several components of this type, which are placed on the table at the same time. You definitely don't need a chef for this. We recommend either Bavarian bottled beer or Israeli wine as an accompaniment. The whole thing takes place in an atmosphere where you would take your friends after sports, but you would rather not take anyone else. The only bright spot was the nice and quick service.

Main course a little bit basic and too rustic for my taste. First course and dessert great. Next time I would skip the main course in favor of more starters. A bit expensive for lunch, no lunch menu. Nice atmosphere. A very much welcome addition to the still short list of kosher restaurants in Berlin and I sincerely wish the restaurant a lot of success. I will come again.

Ive had a lot of israeli food in and out of israel and i must say Bobbe's was very authentic. I can highly recommend the cauliflower, the eggplant and the hummus. The pitas were incredible. The only downside was the amount of kebabs we got, not enough, they were incredible and 3 were not enough especially since we were sharing family style a bunch of dishes between four people. Other than that, great vibe, great service, amazing food. Cant recommend enough!

A great restaurant in Schöneberg with very friendly staff, a place with a homely atmosphere and delicious food! We shared a few plates, and the food was so good that it was gone in no time. I will definitely come here again and cannot recommend it enough. The aubergine and cauliflower are particularly good! Kudos to the kitchen staff ;)

Ein sehr gemütliches kleines Lokal mit sehr leckeren Essen und ein super freundlichen und hilfreichen Service. Das erste Mal, dass wir in einem jüdischen Lokal gegessen haben und wir waren sehr zufrieden. Leider gibt es in unserer Gegend keins.

Sehr lecker! Gute Gewürze! Die Bedienung war sehr nett und Höflich. Einen Stern behalte ich mir ein, da ich und die anderen 4 Kollegen die Portionen zu klein fanden. Ich hatte den Rinder Kabab und fande drei Hack Bällchen mit Pommes etwas wenig für ein Hauptgericht. Trotzdem gerne wieder.

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Abend – das Essen ist exzellent, die Bedienung wunderbar unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Die gemütliche, schlichte und dennoch stilvolle Atmosphäre tut dann ihr Übriges dazu. Klare Empfehlung.

Leckeres israelisches Essen (wobei es noch besser war, als der marokkanisch-sephardische Koch in der Küche den Löffel schwang ;-)), ein herzliches, aufmerksames, internationales Team im Service und ein Ambiente das man am ehesten als "heimish" bezeichnen würde. Im allerbesten Sinne wie das wunderbares Wohnzimmer bei der geliebten Oma. A sheynem Dank - wir kommen wieder !

What can I say? They exceeded expectations across the board. Family style, but excellent service, simple but well executed menu, and a beautiful room in a pretty neighbourhood.
