Everyone here is very nice! Absolutely fantastic food and very friendly staff. They still work with passion here. Just make sure you have plenty of time, especially on a Saturday. Sometimes you have to wait for the waiter, as he's responsible for preparing the drinks. He simply does everything, but if it takes a while, they're understanding. We felt at home!

I discovered this restaurant by chance and out of curiosity, and I was immediately impressed. I hadn't expected to find such a great restaurant in a furniture store. It's a real restaurant with a decent and extensive menu, special offers, daily specials, and a wide selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts in a sophisticated atmosphere. (No cafeteria feel like you often find elsewhere.) Because the furniture store is Austrian, the menu is also heavily influenced by Austrian cuisine. For example, the typical Frittatensuppe (pancake soup) is served as an appetizer, Wiener Schnitzel as a main course, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) for dessert, and to drink, Grüner Veltliner, Blauer Zweigelt, Rauch fruit juices, Almdudler, Red Bull, and other Alpine delicacies from Austrian cuisine. The prices are very reasonable. With coupons, you can get a full breakfast including coffee for under €6. Currently, there's a special offer from 4 pm: a schnitzel with a large alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink for €6.90. Wednesdays are schnitzel days (€7.50), and on Fridays, there's a special offer on fish. It's worth checking the website regularly and registering for the free loyalty card to get great deals. The four of us ate here and had schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), and drinks for under €30 – you really can't complain about that. We found the atmosphere in the restaurant very pleasant, sophisticated, and inviting. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The food seems freshly prepared, served at the perfect temperature, and attractively presented. A real hit, especially with the younger guests, is the serving robot "Lutzi," which sometimes delivers the food to the guests, making its presence known with a discreet cat-like meow and wishing them bon appétit. We ate here as a party of four and had schnitzel, Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake), and drinks for under €30 – you can't complain about that! We'll definitely be back, and we're already looking forward to returning soon. A coupon from a newspaper motivated me to drive to Essen and have lunch at XXXLutz. It was delicious, and everyone was friendly and helpful. It certainly won't be the last time.

We had the most expensive cappuccino in Essen here. €4.30 for such a small cup is pretty steep. And there wasn't even a cookie included.

I went to dinner with friends last week for the after-work special. The schnitzel with fries and a drink was decent, well-seasoned and freshly made. The fries were hot and crispy, and the portions were generous. Service was friendly, and the food arrived quickly. The price/performance ratio was good; the food was good.

Never again. We were there for breakfast on Saturday. The staff was completely overwhelmed. We waited a long time before we could order our breakfast, and it took a while to get it. And then came the absolute bombshell. We got our breakfast and also ordered an extra coffee for one person. All the cups were espresso cups. And the bombshell is that we paid €3.60 for a cup of coffee. That's an absolute disgrace and a rip-off. You won't find anything like that at XXL Lutz in Oberhausen. They serve a pot of coffee. As is customary everywhere.

Yesterday, I was shopping at the furniture store with my girlfriend and spontaneously tried the restaurant. We received a very warm welcome and received very warm and attentive service. The staff was friendly and we chose delicious, inexpensive food. We took advantage of the after-work special, which included a schnitzel and a drink for a whopping €6.90. Amazing price! We were surprised by the good quality of the food and the very friendly service! It was like being in a real restaurant, and in a nice, warm atmosphere! We will definitely be back! This is our second time at this restaurant. Both times the food was good, but the service was not so good. The first time, the robot went to the wrong table, and two of our three dishes were eaten by others. We had to wait for them to be recooked, and then they brought a reheated one, which they had to remake after another wait. This time, the service was a little faster, but just right. I must stress that in both cases the food was well cooked, and the quantity was more than adequate. Something else surprising, at least for us, is that when paying by card, they ask if you want to add a tip to the bill. It seems obligatory.

We were really impressed with the service and ambiance when they reopened. That's gone now. Instead of being greeted at the entrance, you now choose your own seat and are spoiled for choice between various dirty tables with leftover food and crumbs, most of which weren't even covered. Then we waited almost 20 minutes before we were served. Perhaps they're short on staff, especially on a Saturday. The food, however, was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the service and ambiance were disappointing overall.

Our visit to the restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed that guests at the next table had been waiting for over half an hour before leaving in frustration. We also had to wait about 20 minutes before anyone even joined us. After what felt like an eternity, the food finally arrived – but without the drinks we had ordered. Only after I went to the counter myself and asked the waiter about it were they brought. Overall, the service seemed very uncoordinated: There were a noticeably large number of waiters on site, but hardly anyone was actively attending to the guests. Many sat at their tables for a long time without even being able to order. A pleasant evening looks different – there is definitely room for improvement in the process and guest service here.

Extremely long waiting times, absolutely unfriendly staff, not good food!!!!

It's unbelievable that the furniture store no longer has self-service, as it has for the past 20 years, and it takes three times as long because you're now served by a waiter. Satisfying a quick bite and then continuing shopping isn't possible, as the restaurant is packed, so you'll have to be lucky to get a seat. It seems to be a very popular lunch spot for retirees.

The restaurant looks neat and clean. We ate hunter's schnitzel and chicken schnitzel. We've never seen schnitzels so flattened, and they didn't taste good at all. So, value for money, a 6.

The food arrived relatively quickly and was delicious, but I don't think it's okay that they don't inform guests about the friendship card. We only realized this afterward, so we ended up paying more.

We had a table (22) right by the entrance, which was very convenient since we had items in our shopping cart. Our server (from January 4, 2025) was very nice, recommended great dishes, and quickly attended to each guest. From now on, we will always sit where this server is assigned. Once, we had a seat right at the back, and guests who arrived after us were served first. That was not a good experience, and it will now be overwritten.

The service was good. Unfortunately there was only one waiter and he tried very hard. You had to wait in front of the entrance and the waiter would pick you up and give you a table. Since he was alone, there were only a few places I could understand. This meant he kept an overview and was able to serve the guests quickly. We just wanted a coffee ☕️ and a piece of tiramisu cake. We received it quickly and were super satisfied. The cake 🎂 was really unearthly delicious 😋. I hope the waiter got through the day well and didn't get too annoyed by the guests. After all, it wasn't his fault. We'd love to come back

We were there for lunch on July 27th, 2024, totally bad service, the dishes from previous guests were still there for half an hour until we were served. After waiting for half an hour we were served by a totally rude employee. No friendliness, nothing. After ordering, we waited 50 minutes for our food, 50 minutes. We didn't feel like it anymore, NEVER AGAIN! Not recommended at all!!!

Today July 16, 2024 4:30 p.m. I sit at a table, still with dishes from previous guests, and wait. The female waitress always walked past me. After a long wait, I stopped her and told her that I wanted to order. This waitress (female) told me to sit at the table opposite because it was clean. She wouldn't have time to clear the dishes. So I sat down at the clean table opposite. And waited..., After a while I saw this female waiter clear the previous table. Another long wait later, I went to her and asked why she wasn't serving me. She said her colleague was responsible for this table. and not her. Such an approach leaves me speechless. That was a total impudence, first ignoring me and making me wait for a long time, then send me to the table opposite, to ultimately get rid of me as a visitor/customer. Unfortunately, the restaurant management wasn't there today, as I found out in the bathroom department. I left. This was the second attempt to eat something there. there will be no third attempt. Zero stars would be more appropriate here.

Unfortunately, you sit for a quarter of an hour and are put off with "we'll be there soon", but the more important thing is to first remove the breakfast menu from the clipboards on all the tables with 3 waiters, then show the first sheet of lunch, then the second offer... A waiter who has both new pieces of paper with him can also do that and in one go takes a piece of paper from all the tables and grabs 2 new ones... Sorry, got up and left, I don't have a long lunch break!

We come to eat often, we especially like the XXL schnitzel! Very tasty, perfectly fried! Unfortunately it's not as XXL big as it was at the beginning...The farmer's schnitzel is our favorite! Please leave it on the card permanently!!! Just legit ;-)

We went here for dinner on June 15th. We placed the order and after almost 40 minutes we were told that the order didn't make it to the kitchen and that we should order again. The worst thing is that we regularly asked what was happening with our food and were always told that it was taking longer because we had ordered fish or steak. This really ruined our entire visit to XXXL and we'll definitely eat somewhere else next time

I'm not a person who writes negative reviews, but unfortunately it's necessary here! The waitress was completely annoyed because we wanted to redeem a coupon for lunch. The statement: Thank God we don't have coupons in the menu, and if you want to redeem them, you have to look for them yourself. Does the staff have no idea what you offer every day? As a restaurateur, I would never say that to a guest. Please hire staff who also enjoy the job. I ordered a salad with chicken schnitzel. The schnitzel was raw & mushy on the inside and really disgusting! "If the schnitzel isn't edible, then I'll at least eat the salad," I thought. Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! The salad was not a salad, but actually potato salad from the bucket with coleslaw & a few lettuce leaves. This is neither in the menu nor is it shown in the pictures. Offering such inferior food for 13 euros is an outrage! I asked the service person about it and received the answer that that couldn't be the case because it was "our" premium schnitzel and the meat had to be like that. After all, they would be convenience products! As a thank you, we then had to pay the full bill, even though only the lettuce leaves were eaten. Please look for trained staff. We will contact the managing director.

The food is rather average. The atmosphere is great and the store is clean. In my opinion, the service could be improved the most… The employees were rude and snooty.

We found the food really tasty, but we would describe the prices as cheeky. The portions were simply too small for the price. Latte macchiato for over 4 euros, even though it wasn't even 200ml? Oof. A large portion of spaghetti was ordered next to us and they were also very surprised at the small amount.

Delicious food, good service and above all very family friendly. Unfortunately, you rarely see that. There is a toddler play area in the restaurant where you can also sit and eat/drink. There is a play area for older children right next to it. Visible from the restaurant through a window. The children received a painting set as a gift. The highlight was the service robot. It's so rare that you feel welcome in a restaurant as a family with small children. We will be back.

Waren heute Morgen dort Mal Frühstücken und waren erst Überrascht und dann leicht ernüchtert. Eigentlich kennt man das aus anderen Möbelhäusern 5 oder 7 Teile kosten Summe X . Dort gibt's aber richtige Kellner/innen und Luzi👍 und Frühstück von der Karte. Soweit so gut aber was auf den Tellern ankommt, ist von meist gleicher Quälität wie woanders auch .Papige Brötchen stark geräucherte Puten Wurst und das gesamte Frühstück war schon leicht Warm . Die Bedienung war sehr nett aber die Qualität sollte man überdenken . Sauberkeit war sehr gut .

Gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen in schönem Ambiente. Der Service ist freundlich aber eher unaufmerksam. Absolut inakzeptabel ist, dass man Gutscheine und Rabattmarken nur bei der Bestellung angeben kann - NICHT beim Bezahlen! Das habe ich sonst noch nirgendwo gehabt und grenzt für mich schon an Arglist!

Toll sind die Spielmöglichkeiten für kleine Kinder. Optisch auch sehr schön und sauber. Das Essen (Palatschinken und Kaiserschmarrn) war ok. Mehr vegetarische Optionen wären wünschenswert, das spielte für uns heute aber keine Rolle. Der Service war leider sehr enttäuschend. Wir haben uns überhaupt nicht willkommen gefühlt, zumindest der für uns zuständige Kellner wirkte eher genervt von unserer Anwesenheit. Eine Speise wurde falsch serviert, nachdem wir dies zurückgemeldet hatten, wurden offensichtlich manche Komponenten einfach ausgetauscht, so dass der mittlerweile kalte Kaiserschmarrn zur Hälfte von geschmolzenem Eis, das nie bestellt wurde, durchzogen war. Haben wir dann so hingenommen, um nicht ein drittes Mal auf Essen zu warten. Auf unsere Rückmeldung dazu beim Bezahlen wurde mit Gleichgültigkeit reagiert. Vielleicht macht der Besuch mehr Spaß, wenn man von einer anderen Person bedient wird.

Gestern wollten wir dort nach eine lange Einreise essen aber eingetroffen haben wir helfte von Tischen reserviert und die andre Hälfte proppenvoll und Rest nicht geräumt. Die Kellner waren nur zu zweit und müssten alles machen, Getränke, abräumen, kassieren , zum Tisch bringen. Die Kellnerin unfreundlich,genervt. Mein Mann hat dort gegessen aber das Essen hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt . Nie wider werden wir in diese Restaurant essen! Pfuj

Prima, wir waren mit dem Frühstück sehr zufrieden.

Hähnchenschnitzel meiner Tochter völlig roh. Geht gar nicht. Entschuldigung dafür sehr verhalten. Essen war schon früher sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dieses „Restaurant“ habe ich zukünftig für mich gestrichen.

Sehr guter Service. Gute Angebote. Sehr gut und schmackft ist das Angebot im Restaurant. Insbesondere die Bedienung Marion die uns besonders durch ihre freundliche Art und Schnelligkeit aufgefallen ist. Alleine wegen ihr ist es ein Muss dort zu Essen.

Meine Erfahrungen im Restaurant in Essen sind nur gute! Der Bezeichnung "Restaurant" besteht völlig zu Recht, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und dekoriert und vor allem keine Selbstbedienung als Ikea! Egal, ob zum Frühstück oder die Mittagsgerichte, ich bin immer sehr mit der Qualität zufrieden gewesen. Ich hatte nie den Eindruck als wenn etwas aus der Tüte oder Dose kommt, sondern wie gerade frisch angerichtet, sofern es in einer Großküche möglich ist. Besonders möchte ich jedoch den Service hervorheben! Die überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Art (insbesondere die von Frau Stefan) die Bestellung aufzunehmen, zu beraten und auch zu servieren ist für Betriebe dieser Art sicherlich völlig atypisch! Zu guter Letzt stimmt sogar auch noch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Das essen ist immer sehr köstlich frisch und atemberaubend

Seit Neueröffnung waren wir immer sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente stimmt und das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis alle mal. Statt Kantinenatmosphäre wurden neue abgeteilte Nischen und Sitzgruppen eingerichtet. Manchmal schauen wir nur vorbei, um eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen oder einen leckeren Cappuccino zu trinken - die Möbel lassen wir dann unbeachtet. Die Tagesangebote sind unschlagbar.

Sobald ich saß, war auch schon einer der Servicekräfte bei mir und hat mich gefragt wie es mir geht und ob sie mir was bringen kann. Das Essen war schnell da und super lecker! Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommen. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch im Möbelhaus bin ich auch wieder da!

Hallo zusammen, hier einmal meine Rezession für das Restaurant bei Kröger. Also erst einmal gab es kurz nach der Neueröffnung ein Klasse Angebot, ein großes Schnitzel mit Pommes für 2,90€ (wenn ich mich richtig erinnere) dazu konnte man als Nachtisch ein Stück Kuchen für jeweils 1€ kaufen, gelungener Anfang. Das Restaurant bzw. das ganze drum rum müsste definitiv verbessert werden, denn davor war es ein großes Hin und her und wir wussten noch, wohin zuerst, was machen wir nun und und und... Und jetzt, ist es ein normales Restaurant, Platz suchen, warten, bedient werden, essen, trinken und bezahlen... Ende!! Na endlich!!! Zum Ambiente muss ich sagen, sehr schick gemacht, wir saßen in einer Art Kinderbecken, praktisch für die kleinen. Die Bedienung, recht fix und sehr freundlich! Die Preise sind vollkommen OK, und wenn man Geburtstag hat (also im selben Monat) bekommt man ein schnitzel mit Pommes gratis (entweder Schwein oder Geflügel, kann man sich vorher aussuchen!) Es hat damals geschmeckt und heute schmeckt es auch wenn nicht besser... Zu den Rezensionen mit dem Fisch kann ich nichts sagen, sind keine Fischesser. Wieso nur 4 Sterne...? Neben dem Restaurant ist ein kleines Spiele Paradies für Kinder, unser Nachwuchs hätte sich sehr gefreut da mal reingehen zu dürfen, dem war aber leider nicht so... Schade.

Schönerweise wird dieses Restaurant sehr gut angenommen. Trotz Pandemie und Kontrolle am Eingang sehr gut gefüllt. Essen und Service waren gut. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich. Die Speisekarte überrascht positiv, selbst Vegetarier oder Veganer finden etwas.

Sehr gutes Essen zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Ambiente ebenfalls sehr modern. Man wird am Tisch bedient, also keine Kantine. Einfach Top. Kann mit jedem anderen Restaurant in Essen locker mithalten. Komme definitiv wieder.

Nach dem Umbau ein richtig schönes Restaurant geworden. Sehr modern Eingerichtet. Freundliches und nettes Personal. Eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, egal ob großer oder kleiner Hunger, mit oder ohne Fleisch. Alles sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Da hat sich der Umbau wirklich gelohnt.

Wir wollten eigentlich nur schnell was anschauen. Haben dann im Eingang auf der Speisekarte Schnitzel Bowl gesehen, also Schnitzel, Käsespätzle, Zwiebeln und Rotkraut. Mit Freundschaftskarte für 5,90€. Ach so eine Kleinigkeit, haben wir gedacht könnte man ja eben essen. Gesagt getan. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Essen kam nach dem Bestellen auch schnell. Alles wie frisch zubereitet und lecker. Schnitzel Panade knusprig, also alles nicht wie von der Warmhalteplatte. Soll man nicht meinen was in so einer kleinen Schale rein passt. Waren richtig satt. Wir werden die Speisekarte noch weiter testen. Ein Lob an das Küchenteam und an den Service. 5 Sterne weil angenehm überrascht hab eigentlich an Kantinen Essen gedacht.

Zusammen mit dem Einkauf bei xxl - Essen haben wir im Restaurant mittags gegessen. Tolles Essen, schmackhaft, gut angerichtete, Preis-Leistung einmalig. Werden das Restaurant öfter besuchen.

Wir wollten 2 geburtstags Gutscheine einlösen davon war eine Person krank aber ich habe ihren Personalausweis mitgenommen und habe an der Info gefragt ob man diesen einlösen kann die Kröger Info gab mir das Okay dafür aber im Kröger Restaurant wollten sie das nicht annehmen. da ihr Chef nicht da war und und sie auch nicht in der Lage waren die Info unten anzurufen. Wir sollten froh sein dass wir wenigstens ein frei Gutschein zum essen bekommen haben sagte man uns an der Kasse das in einem sehr ruppigen Ton. Ich werde mir demnächst überlegen ob ich dieses Restaurant überhaupt noch mal benutze

Ganz schlechte Küche und sehr ungemütlich. Sollte sich ein Beispiel an Ostermann nehmen.
