The food was typical "all you can eat" with the added bonus of having a vanilla and a chocolate fountain. 10/10 The fruit had strange white hairs in it, which prevented me from eating strawberries, which I found very disappointing. 4/10 The service staff were also friendly and accommodating. They frequently asked if we needed anything else. So, that was good, too, except for the fact that we got drinks we hadn't ordered, but then they gave them to us for free. 7/10 A 0.75 liter water costs almost €10, whether sparkling or not, which I find extortionate. Even in Düsseldorf, at reputable restaurants, I pay a maximum of €7-8 for a 0.75 liter or 1 liter. 3/10 However, various items should be inspected by the TÜV, as the photo shows. 0/10 I hope this helps and enjoy your meal.

We've been to Xiao several times now and have always been fascinated by the variety of dishes. There really is something for everyone. Last weekend, we were there with 14 people, and everyone really enjoyed it. And the server, Key, was super nice and attentive. Thank you so much, we'd love to come back.

We had a great meal; you won't miss a thing here. The buffet is very well-stocked and clean. The staff are friendly, and the ambiance is modern. For my taste, it's too big, noisy, and feels a bit like a large cafeteria. But the good food and modern decor make this bearable. What could possibly be improved is the drink service; it takes too long to order. Perhaps simply offer drink orders via tablets? We'd be happy to come back. Update: The ordering service has been supplemented by an app, so now there's nothing to complain about. Update: After a good year and several more visits, I have to be a bit more critical. In my opinion, the quality has declined somewhat, and the cleanliness and availability at the buffet weren't as usual on my last visit. Please don't let up. :-|

The buffet prices have changed; until 4:00 PM everything is quite affordable at €16.90... But honestly, from 4:00 PM onwards the fun costs €26.90... The changed buffet in no way justifies a €10 price increase... The food was tasty, but that was it... There really wasn't anything special on the menu, and therefore I don't think the price-performance ratio is appropriate... Everything was fine before 4:00 PM, but after that it's not worth the money in my opinion.

Xiao advertises an "Asian-inspired crossover buffet" – which in this case probably means that Asian-inspired dishes sit alongside Italian pasta salad, fries, chicken nuggets, and guacamole. Crossover sounds exciting, but here it seems rather random. The Mongolian grill offers a variety of raw vegetables for you to assemble and have freshly roasted. However, the only vegetarian "protein" available is a heavily smoked tofu, which is disappointing in terms of taste. Despite the website stating that 60% of the dishes are vegan/vegetarian, the selection remains very limited in this regard. The ready-made dishes for immediate service consist mainly of meat, supplemented only by a few vegetarian side dishes such as bok choy, mushrooms, and fried rice. Given the heavily advertised vegetarian offerings, I expected to find various delicious tofu variations, seitan, or tempeh – but nothing to be found. The Szechuan sauce, advertised as "extra hot," tasted sweet and bland – no trace of the expected heat and flavor. Sushi was also available, but its flavor was only mediocre. The vegetarian Peking soup was bland and uninspired – just like most of the buffet. For dessert, there was baked banana, Italian profiteroles, and Spanish churros – further evidence of the random crossover that makes the concept seem unclear and inconsistent. The service left much to be desired: plates were barely cleared and piled up throughout the entire visit. Conclusion: Xiao looks good and sounds ambitious, but disappoints in terms of taste and concept. The buffet seems unbalanced, and the vegetarian offerings are disappointing. Those looking for authentic Asian cuisine will not be happy here.

Apparently, drink orders and server calls can be made via QR code, but it only worked partially for us. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and the restrooms were clean.
