Great atmosphere and a delicious buffet. We really enjoyed it. We were there on a Saturday evening and it was very busy, but the waiters were still incredibly fast and friendly. A reservation is a must, though. The food was top-notch, and despite the many occupied tables, there was rarely anything left over. When there was, it was quickly replenished (like the very tasty salmon, for example). The cocktails and drinks were also quickly replenished. Parking was full due to the restaurant's occupancy, but we easily found a spot in the industrial area next door.

I ate there with two friends. Reservations are highly recommended! We sat in a very quiet corner where we could easily chat. It took a little while for the drinks to arrive, but otherwise our waiter Tim was always very quick and cleared away the empty plates super fast! That's a big plus and not always the case with buffets. Our fried food also arrived very quickly! The buffet was always well-stocked and there was plenty of it. We had to wait a bit for the bill at the end, but otherwise it was really great! We'd gladly come back.

The food was absolutely fantastic, and that goes for every single one of our eight very diverse guests (ages, vegetarian/non-vegetarian, etc.). Julija's service was very friendly and always prompt! Of course, there are cozier restaurants, but considering the size of the place, we felt more than comfortable, and it was also quieter than in many smaller venues. Definitely something we'll be back for!

The food is varied, and there are also several vegetarian options. The "fresh food counter," also known as the live grill, offers a wide selection of vegetables, meat, and seafood. The buffet offers everything a European or Asian palate could desire, from sushi and numerous prepared dishes to fries and nuggets, and a colorful dessert buffet. Today, Freddy served us attentively, quickly, and kindly. When there are many guests, it's inevitably a bit busy, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. It was another great evening!

Something different. It looks chic and interesting, the food tastes good, they have a little bit of everything. A grill is included too. Everything looks fresh and is constantly being replenished. The only downside is that paying by card feels a bit forced, like you're expected to leave a tip 😅. That was new to me. But the service, the food, everything was good. The best buffet I've had so far.

A fantastic dining experience with an Asian-inspired menu, but with the typical drawbacks of a buffet. We went to Xiao for breakfast/brunch and left with a mostly positive impression. This includes, above all, the clean and pleasant atmosphere and the friendly staff. I was truly impressed that the live grill for the breakfast option had been transformed into an egg fry station. I've never seen that anywhere before. You could create your own scrambled eggs or order other small egg dishes. Unfortunately, the egg dishes got cold quickly by the time they reached us. In general, the selection of food is very large, so large that we couldn't even try everything. I was surprised to find antipasti and a small selection of hot European dishes. This makes sense, of course, to appeal to a larger number of customers. However, the food we did try wasn't entirely convincing, especially for those familiar with East Asian cuisine. It was attractively presented in the buffet display, but the taste didn't quite live up to expectations. From Korean-inspired BBQ chicken to edamame and sushi, to Chinese chicken kung pao, it initially makes a good impression. However, I found the gyoza to be a bit mealy, the breading on the "Korean" chicken was far too soft, and the roast duck was too dry (the curse of a buffet, I guess). There was only long-grain rice, and the only mushrooms available were button mushrooms. There are so many great mushrooms from Asia, especially enoki, which are quite trendy right now, so why not offer more variety? It worked with the strawberry matcha latte, which cost over €6. What also bothered me was the way the spiciness levels of some dishes were labeled. The seasoned pak choi with one chili pepper almost burned my mouth, while the kimchi with two chilies was remarkably mild and almost sweet. Overall, the food was okay; Xiao scores points for its atmosphere and selection. It was to be expected that there wouldn't be any truly authentic dishes. Xiao is primarily a business, secondarily a restaurant. But precisely because its image and advertising so heavily emphasize Asian culture, I had hoped for a bit more. I would still come back a second time to try the rest of the buffet offerings outside of brunch hours, so I can form a more complete opinion.

Great restaurant with lots of options. We always enjoy coming back. It can be a bit noisy when it's full, as it's quite large. We and the kids love it!

This was our first time at XIAO, and our initial impression was very impressive. The ample parking directly in front of the restaurant is very convenient. The music would be nicer without the boom-boom... there is such beautiful, quiet electronic music in the style of Café del Mar.

For and against..., we were there for the first time and we think it was also the last time. No offense intended, but: For the price, well, there's a lack of variety at the raw buffet (the Chinese restaurant near us has more for less money), and the quality isn't great. Of course, the kids think the pancake machine and the chocolate fountain are cool, but is that really what you want? + Plenty of parking New, modern, and brightly furnished Properly priced food Large selection at the prepared buffet Friendly staff Modern ordering system (drinks can be ordered via app) - No salmon or beef at the raw buffet, nor any morels or similar seafood The crab was frozen quality I only saw the waiter three times in two hours I don't know if I really need to use my phone while eating to order drinks via app Long wait at the raw buffet Some of the sushi is very large with a lot of rice (it fills you up too quickly) The prepared buffet is often empty I plan to tip at least 10% when paying by card Overall, for the price and We don't drive 30 minutes to eat and will choose the Chinese restaurant in our area.

A very extensive buffet (including dessert) with a selection of sushi and the option to choose items from the Mongolian buffet and have them cooked to order. Drinks are extra but reasonably priced.

The meat scraps for grilling are drowned in sauce. Standard dishes taste more like convenience food. However, the service and welcome were very friendly and attentive. The waitress was a nice, petite Asian woman. The Asuate in Vinbrück is significantly better. Xiao is too European-oriented. This is, of course, just our opinion, and thankfully tastes differ.

Today we went to Xiao Krefeld, and we really enjoyed everything. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Our waiter, Waldi, was very polite and had a great sense of humor. What made it even cozier for us was the lovely Christmas music playing in the background.

Today I went to XIAO Krefeld with my family support worker for dinner. The food was delicious and there was always plenty on offer. Everything was beautifully presented, and everything I've eaten there so far has been very tasty. The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Waldi, served us and was very polite and had a great sense of humor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will come back more often. And, as is typical for this time of year, there's a Christmas tree at the entrance, and Christmas music is playing.
