My partner and I ate at XIAO Krefeld for the first time on February 14, 2025. We were there around 5 p.m. The route there was a bit bumpy, but well signposted. The parking lot is large and was still very full afterwards. If you come later, you should plan for this. The online reservation worked perfectly. It's definitely worth reserving in advance. The service was excellent. The buffet was absolutely great, lots of choice, everything was very tasty and is constantly being replenished. Everything very clean. The plates aren't that big, which I think is great. You have to pay an extra charge if you leave too much food back, which I think is really good. The drink selection is also great. The ambience was appropriate. Of course it was very crowded and quite loud, but you could have a good conversation. The interior design is chic. There is also an outdoor terrace. The toilets were also nice and clean. The service was really great. Fast, friendly, accommodating, we were repeatedly asked whether everything was to our satisfaction. The service employee who served us was called André and even took the time to chat, even though it was so busy. Thanks for that. The mood among the employees indicated a good working atmosphere. The restaurant is also suitable for visiting with children and is disabled-friendly. All in all we were pleasantly surprised, very satisfied and highly recommended. Price-performance absolutely suitable. We'll be back!

Food tastes delicious. It's not always very hot, but that's no surprise at a buffet. The service is very friendly but unfortunately not the fastest. Unfortunately, it takes quite a long time for drinks to arrive. Even if you call the service on your cell phone, it takes a long time for someone to come. The ambience is not very nice. It is reminiscent of a warehouse. Very high ceiling and you sit very close to the other people so that you can hear the whole conversation from the neighboring table and are almost sitting at the same table. It feels more like a mass transit and isn't very comfortable. It seems as if you put as many tables as possible in there and put them as close together as possible to get even more people in. Addition: We were there again and 1.5 hours before closing the staff started moving the tables loudly without lifting them. Even after we pointed out to them that it was very disturbing, they continued. This lasted about 20 minutes in total.

Were there yesterday for the first time on the weekend. Despite the high number of guests, everything was great as always. It was always replenished quickly if something was missing, and the service staff was very attentive and friendly. And the background noise wasn't disturbing despite the amount of people.

Unfortunately we were disappointed. Except for the salmon, we didn't really like the food. Sometimes you had to wait for new plates, which were also dirty. The ambience is a matter of taste. It's very big and of course a bit louder. The waiter really did a great job for the amount of people. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks.

It was our first time eating in this restaurant and we are more than satisfied! Very good food, nice atmosphere and a friendly waiter (Tino). Price performance top👍🏼 Gladly again!

The selection of food is fantastic. In addition to a lavish selection of ready-made dishes, you can also put together a plate with a selection of vegetables, fish, meat, tofu, side dishes and various sauces, which is then freshly prepared and brought to the table. The sushi is also good and the dessert selection is incredibly varied. There is not only fruit and ice cream, but also churros, brownies, baked bananas, waffles, various toppings and sauces, two chocolate fountains (white and milk chocolate) and much, much more, so there is really something for everyone. There were also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, everything was very well signposted and was always refilled quickly. Although it was very full, it was never crowded or crowded, there was always enough space at the buffet and there were no queues. In addition, despite the many people, the ambience was very nice and it wasn't too loud. I also think it's good that they make sure that you don't put too much food on your plate and throw it all away and do something about food waste. The service was also very attentive and friendly. Paying by card was easy and there was plenty of parking space right in front of the restaurant. A really great experience for me, I will definitely come back!

It was very full at the beginning, but there were also people there on Friday evenings during the main meal time, but the staff was still very friendly and brought the drinks quickly. The buffet wasn't overcrowded because you can get to it from both sides and it was constantly replenished so that you could always try everything. It was our first time there, but certainly not the last time. The price/performance ratio is also very good and the children's prices are staggered according to age groups.

The selection is extremely large and diverse. We didn't always like the food itself. The sushi in particular was below average. The service was okay: empty glasses weren't cleared away for over an hour, and we found it annoying that we were asked several times at the beginning how it tasted. The ambience was good and, above all, the acoustics were great, because we were able to have a great conversation at our table even though the restaurant was completely full.

We were there on a Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and reserved a table with the subject "birthday dinner". There were two of us and unfortunately we got a table at a quick door. The taste of the food was very tasty, but unfortunately some of it was only lukewarm. Service can be improved; the company loses a lot of money due to a lack of service. Unfortunately, we went home thirsty because no one paid us any attention after half an hour. Unfortunately we had to go and find the waiter. Too bad, no small thing as attention. Very nicely furnished, but quite loud and open in style, similar to a canteen. Unfortunately for us it was more of a flop than a great one.

We have eaten at Xiao Krefeld several times on weekends. It was always very tasty, in a very pleasant atmosphere. We also enjoyed the service very well today on Monday during the week. It started with the very nice welcome from Dominique at the entrance door. He and the nice colleague from the service department looked after us excellently throughout the evening. Thank you for such a good service. Please don't give up, it would be a shame.

Everything was really very good. Large selection of different dishes. Everything attractively arranged. We were there on a Sunday. The service staff did their best but could only serve drinks with a long delay because the staffing level was simply inadequate. The service person responsible for our table tried very hard and remained friendly and cheerful despite everything. Respect for that and thank you very much!

The food was only lukewarm at best. Edamame and mango for dessert were still frozen inside!!! The quality of the food is not good at all, nor is the service. You are ignored and nothing is explained to you when you ask. 3 tables that were near us were only cleared 1 hour after the guests left the table. Something like that really bothers you even when you're eating, when you look at all the leftover food. I paid €25 just for the food and in my opinion the food isn't even worth €5. Afterwards I threw up everything again, thank you for nothing. NEVER AGAIN

Today we ate here for the first and last time. Service ignored you, with luck you could order a drink. Some of the food was still raw, especially the vegetables. The duck was super dry. I won't even start with the sushi or what is offered here as sushi. If you are a vegetarian you don't need to go here. The experience then cost a whopping €93 for three people.

The meat is first class and especially the pineapple for dessert tastes amazing. Very nice service and friendly boss!

Despite a lot of hustle and bustle in this restaurant last Saturday, I was surprised at how well you were treated as a guest here. I really enjoyed the food and dishes. Food: Great. The buffet is really great. Hot, tasty and beautiful to look at. Waiter: We sat in the back on the right and had a young man as our waiter. The waiter was very nice and chatty. We felt we were in good hands. Restaurant: It's nice to look at. Modern, high quality and spacious. What bothered us was the soundscape and the number of people. We were there at peak time on Saturday evening. This is probably the restaurant's busiest time. A bit too courageous for us personally. All in all 4 stars. During the week with half the staff, this is definitely one of the best Chinese buffet restaurants in the area. And I'm happy to pay €2-3 more for good taste. To be honest, in 90% of Chinese buffet restaurants it's more quantity than class.

Great Chinese Buffett restaurant and (although it is very large) nice, modern atmosphere. All the dishes we have tried so far are delicious and always make a fresh impression - and are always delivered quickly. I don't understand the concept of the grill in this or similar restaurants... the food that comes out is somehow never as tasty as the food in the buffet... By the way, the things from the dessert buffet are incredibly delicious - it's worth a visit for that alone 😋

Xiao is a normal everyday you can eat Chinese, like everyone else. The furnishings have his own concept, which is also very consistent. But the food is like any normal Chinese restaurant.

Nice ambience, good food. Unfortunately today was January 15th. 12 o'clock bad luck with the service, the blonde lady was extremely cheeky and I was also called darling, but it wasn't meant in a nice way, which I found extremely unpleasant. Such an unsympathetic, aggressive person should not be standing at the reception or coming near guests.

Disappointing visit despite friendly service Four of us were here today at 3 p.m. and unfortunately our visit was anything but satisfactory. The buffet was largely empty and was only refilled very sparsely or not at all. What was particularly annoying was that both the soup and the rice were only available again after repeated requests and a wait of around 20 minutes. The taste of the salmon was completely disappointing - it had no flavor whatsoever. Dessert was also problematic: the ice cream was frozen so hard that it was almost impossible to get any out, and the water bowl for the ice cream scoop was completely missing. The service was friendly, but obviously understaffed. The plates were only cleared slowly, which led to a cluttered atmosphere at the table. Overall the experience was very disappointing for the price. There is an urgent need to work on the organization and quality here in order to offer guests a better experience. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

We were in the restaurant with two people on New Year's Eve at 4 p.m. It was our third visit and we were very satisfied - especially with the friendly, cheerful staff, Sandrine at the reception is a perfect choice for the first impression and our waiter at the table was also attentive and put us in a good mood. The food was tasty and warm and was constantly being refilled. The ambience depends very much on where you sit, there are places where you have a little privacy and of course there are also places where you have your neighbors sitting pretty close to you or a large group and most people probably find that like we do less beautiful. We asked for a quiet table when making the reservation and got a very nice seat by the window. I particularly liked the fact that there was a note on the tables saying that if you leave too much leftover food behind, you will be asked to pay. I also noticed very positively that the prices were reduced on the grounds that purchase prices have fallen and they want to pass this advantage on to customers. What company does something like that?

Dishes are cleared away quickly and drinks can be reordered efficiently at any time using a code, even if the staff is not at the table. Conclusion: certainly more expensive than “the Chinese on the corner” and worth every cent. Great all you can eat location. Sushi was fresh and flavorful, loved the sweat and sour soup. Warmly recommend the freshly prepared dishes: give the giant prawns with your fave veggies and thr red curry sauce a try! Also, the new pricing is great value. Discounts for kids up to 17.
