Unfortunately, it's very noisy because it's a huge restaurant and very busy at lunchtime, at least on Saturdays. The food is plentiful and always fresh and hot. A large selection and friendly staff.

Formerly called Wok Inn: very good selection, great service, dishes impeccable - only minor drawbacks in the soups and desserts.

No waiting, with parking, good service, and good food. They didn't speak Spanish, but they made an effort to make themselves understood when explaining things to us. Their patience in explaining things is appreciated.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The service was fantastic, the robot cat was simply hilarious, everything was fresh and clean, and incredibly delicious.

Treated disrespectfully – never again! There were three of us at the "Work Garden" and we had the all-you-can-eat menu. After we stepped outside for a quick smoke, the waitress came after us – not to check if everything was okay, but simply to ask if we were finished and wanted to pay. She then asked us to either pay immediately or sit where she could "see" us – arguing that this was so we wouldn't leave without paying. When I asked if she did this to all guests, she gave the cheeky reply: "No, only to certain ones." This was clearly discriminatory for us – we have an immigrant background and were treated as if we were potential thieves. Even though we had barely eaten anything, we left immediately afterward – our appetites had vanished. That was our first and definitely our last time there. An absolute no-go for a restaurant!

Simply good, always freshly prepared

If you like eating lukewarm food surrounded by tumultuous children and rowdy extended families, this is the place to be! If you're in the mood to be threatened and attacked by the owner, this is also the place to be; more on that later. The prices are fair, the food average. It's best to bring cash, as you can no longer pay by card. We were told this after our meal; we were here recently, when card payments still worked. After we said that, as always, we didn't have any cash, we were threatened with police and a complaint. We said we would just get some money, but they would rather detain us on the spot and/or force us to hand over our ID cards. The owner is very argumentative about this. Luckily, his son, I assume, was there, which prevented him from becoming violent. All in all, a very mixed and increasingly worse situation. You know that.

Yes, it's possible. We've eaten worse, but we've also eaten better. Everything tastes pretty much the same.

Food with a large selection, but in my opinion. but only average quality. The staff is friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, if you don't get a snack booth anymore, you feel like you're in a large canteen with mass processing.

Everything tastes good when you eat supper. There is a large selection where everyone can find something, for example ice cream, sushi, fish, fries. But I would recommend calling ahead to reserve a Tusch.

Why one star overall?! If the manager tells his employees to work faster in front of the customer, that's a no go. In addition, the service was very attentive and quick. I'm not coming back. I don't support that. The food is rather average and not that special. I would describe it as very 'Germanized'. The service is good. The location makes you realize that it used to be a supermarket. Really comfortable is something else and the robot serving the food is just annoying.

The food was simply delicious. Despite the full parking lot, we immediately got a table for 2 people. Drinks came so quickly that you didn't even have time to go to the buffet. But then… Raw food was prepared straight away and brought to the table by a funny little robot. The restaurant is very child-friendly and can also be accessed by people with physical disabilities. There are no stairs to climb. We'll be back ❤️👍

Super tasty buffet, very good selection, always a pleasure

The buffet is worth it. Very extensive selection of various dishes - from salad, sushi to warm dishes, grill, dessert, fruit cake, ice cream. Grill counter every day. At lunchtime the selection is smaller, but absolutely sufficient. Good value for money. We'd love to come there.

We've been there several times, I can't understand the negative reviews. The service was top we didn't have a stack of plates, the little robot also came with warm food and is super cute 😀 Huge selection and always refilled. So we'd love to come back.

We had visited 24.80 per person at Sunday lunch time. They didn’t accept Revolut card. The Seafood grilled were so good.

Highly recommended! There is a very rich buffet, starting with salads, Chinese soup, sushi, large selection of Chinese dishes and desserts. Particularly noteworthy are the chocolate fountain, the soft ice cream machine and the Chinese Teppanyaki grill. I "only" gave 4 stars instead of 5 because unfortunately you can no longer rely on card payments being accepted.

Buffet: eat whatever and as much as you want, a wide selection of meat and fish, fruit, salads, sushi, side dishes, cakes, ice cream - and all at a low price. Service staff are quick to clear away used dishes, add more food or serve drinks. Lots of seating options. Parking is possible in front of the door.

You can do it, but there are even better alternatives within a 20 km radius

This time the buffet was unfortunately often only lukewarm. I didn't know this from other visits. Despite the size, I always recommend booking a table on weekends. Basically the food is rich and tasty.

We come from Celle and drive there especially to Essen. It's definitely worth it! Polite and quick service, great atmosphere and the grill service was the absolute highlight for the kids! Where do you ever get served by a robot! We'll definitely be back!

We went to Wok Garden every now and then and were also big fans of this restaurant. At a family gathering after a death, we were very disappointed with the Wok Garden. It was crowded, noisy, too much choice of food in the wrong corners and the service was, in plain English, a complete disaster. Not only did you wait 45 minutes to get a coke, you were seated at a table that was reserved for someone else by someone who was supposedly not an employee. After asking a worker who sat us there and we didn't know the name, he became rude and loud as well as disrespectful towards us even though we had reserved 2 weeks earlier. Were then placed in a very dark area. It's a shame that it had to come to this, but it was our last visit to the Wok Garden and at such a family get-together.

We've been coming to Wok Garden every now and then for years. The restaurant is no longer an insider tip. You should definitely make a reservation. It is very crowded at lunchtime, so you need a lot of patience in the long queue at the buffet.

I recently visited the Wok Garden in Peine and overall I was very satisfied. The food was excellent and everything was very well prepared. What was particularly impressive was the extremely friendly and helpful staff, who made the visit a completely pleasant experience. The ambience of the restaurant is tasteful and inviting, which contributes to a relaxed atmosphere. A small downside, however, was that the chairs are very deep - this makes you feel a bit small and the seating comfort could be improved. Overall, the positive impressions outweigh the negatives, which is why I am happy to recommend the Wok Garden in Peine.

Quantity instead of class. Sometimes nothing changes forever. The restaurant is designed for masses. I've never had bad food, but unfortunately the quality wasn't particularly good either. It was ok. I still like to go there every now and then.

Unfortunately, it has fallen off a lot, but the price has risen again. It's a shame, unfortunately it was my last visit here.

Modern Chinese restaurant, with classic buffet 2.0 on 3 islands that you can stroll around plus side counters, sushi, rice, duck and more, plus fresh fish and mussels etc. Which are fried/grilled live for you on site and then delivered to your table The waiter delivered no time no problem The singing robot is in the house and trills happily for birthday children and at the same time delivers grilled food quickly and accurately to the table, attentive Staff Modern and fast rounds off the Asia Wok Garden. Price performance Super Ok 2 things after the positive but there is nothing to detract from. In my opinion, the price of drinks is a bit high and the parking lot is small with about 20 cars, but the soft ice cream machine makes up for it. Highly recommended, even enough space for indoor e.g. Christmas parties or similar. 5+ stars

The atmosphere of a canteen, service is too rare, the quality of the food is getting worse and worse. Price/performance no longer fits.

We were here on a Sunday and weren't terribly hungry. We also had 2 vegetarians with us who didn't want to take advantage of the buffet offer because it wasn't worth the price to just get fried noodles for 23 euros. So we ordered some buffet, some á la carte. When we asked where the food was, it was virtually confirmed that the buffet was given priority. After the buffet eaters had finished, the à la carte food arrived after 90 minutes. Plus a huge portion. Some people seem to think that's a good thing, but I just find it absurd given the prices. In addition, there is a simply uncomfortable, loud atmosphere, like in cheap hotels at the breakfast buffet. I won't come back.

Very disappointing experience at this all you can eat restaurant. The staff was unfriendly and showed no hospitality or smiles. We were forced to pay for additional drinks just because we were there with children - even though this was not mentioned anywhere. There were 4 of us. The reserved table was still dirty. The staff not very friendly and hardworking. When we noticed that we had one too many drinks, the staff's mood was clearly noticeable again. All of the buffet food was cold. A lot of things weren't refilled (7:30 p.m.). The sauces were all too runny. The food from the grill came very late and was burnt or inedible. The ice also had its best days behind it. The best thing that evening was probably the baked bananas. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Great selection of food, attentive service, pleasant atmosphere. Even though we had registered three people late, we were given a nice niche table. You had to wait in line for a long time at the buffet, but all the guests were very disciplined and there was no crowd. This is something you have to plan for at Christmas dinner. We were here again with the family on Christmas Day. We had already booked a table a few weeks before. Without a reservation it would have been impossible to get a table. I didn't expect that we would be the only guests, but what awaited us was unimaginable.. The queue of those who wanted to get in stretched to the street about 30m away... As if something was being given for free... that's what it must have looked like in the GDR times before consumption, when bananas were available... unbelievable. We waited in line for 20 minutes before we had a table, 30 minutes after our drinks order...they arrived, there were almost fights at the buffet because people tried to push forward, the average waiting time to get a plate was about 15 minutes until it was filled was at the table, at least it took that long... The food was very good but the organization was rather poor. Not recommended for seniors and families with small children on these days. Otherwise, I'd be happy to come back at any time.

Food was a disaster, cold and inedible, long queue almost to the door. Atmosphere like in the warehouse, loud and crowded. We were supposed to clear the place in 1 1/2 hours. We were insulted by the staff because we hadn't eaten and had to pay extra for not eating. Never again it was very crowded and didn't get the pre-reserved table and then had to sit in the back corner. It was very loud. We waited in line for about 45 minutes at the buffet. Everything with a toddler and baby is unreasonable.

Were there with 3 people. I had stomach surgery and therefore asked about a children's buffet. When they said no, I still accepted. Since I'm not allowed to drink anything with my meal, I didn't want to order a drink. The very unfriendly service employee then said that I had to order a drink. I could then give it to my husband. I've never experienced anything like that. You won't see us there again...

Inconspicuous from the outside, the wow effect inside is even greater. The selection is extremely diverse and at the buffet you really get a lot for a fair price. The waiters are all on their toes. There's something for everyone here! From fries to meat to gummy bears or ice cream!

The ambience and furnishings are more reminiscent of a company canteen, just because of the size and the resulting noise. But a good and very rich buffet, ready-made dishes, but also a very extensive fresh buffet that always offers different highlights. The absolute highlight for the kids, however, is the almost 1 meter high chocolate fountain and the very rich dessert buffet and the polar bear with the soft ice cream machine, which can be served yourself.

It's been a long time since I've had such a bad meal for so much money. We were there for the evening buffet and were completely disappointed. The prepared dishes were very greasy, unappetizing to look at and almost all cold. Empty containers were hardly refilled, and we were there at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, the Mongolian buffet was also really bad - the food was completely burnt and unfortunately not edible.
