Wochinger Brauhaus in Traunstein

Very nice, rustic inn. There is a small "standard menu" that can be viewed on the website and then dishes at the serving counter: you choose the type of meat, a vegetable and a side dish according to your wishes. So everyone can find something that suits them best. Of course there is also something for vegetarians, as well as a salad bar. And anyone who just wants a drink is also welcome.

Super nice staff, very tasty food and a rustic atmosphere - what more could you want? I can only recommend the wheat beer and if you have the opportunity you should definitely try the goose with red cabbage at Christmas time. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Super nice inn with a great ambience, super friendly staff and very tasty food at absolutely affordable prices. There were even small games brought to the table for the children so that we could enjoy the delicious dark beer in peace. We will come back soon!

In a brewery inn I would want traditional Bavarian food, which is what is served. The buffet, which is offered from 5 p.m., is only ok, unfortunately only lukewarm food in our case. The ambience and the house beer are very good. Very friendly service!

When we landed in Salzburg on a Saturday morning and since it was a national holiday - city was dead, we decided to cross the border to have a beer or two in Bavaria. Glad that we stopped here. The very fresh, tasty unfiltered Zwickelbier was a great start of that day. My friend had a Weizen, and he loved that too. Friendly service with a smile was a plus. Greetings from Turkiye.

We've eaten at Wochinger Bräu several times before...but - this time we were absolutely not satisfied. Crusty roast with a small, very thin slice of meat, a spoonful of carrots and about 5-6 half mini rosemary potatoes €12.50, a small slice of crusty roast especially at my request, an additional €4, so €16.50, all from the lunch buffet. Unfortunately I left hungry

I don't like the canteen food (buffet). Unfortunately this continued after the operator changed. The waitresses tried hard, but that was it. Ordered 2 pairs of pork sausages (one of the few dishes that were brought to the table. Someone at the table got some....(me) Then I waited until the second portion came, which we ordered together... We also want to eat together... That's why you go abroad... Well, the second portion didn't come. My portion was cold... We were both pissed off. Here you neither know the basic gastronomic rules nor would you be able to implement them. If you just want a beer you can go there. For everything else, give the location a wide berth.

Such a beautiful beer garden, even in winter at 11 p.m. when we went home. We were in the brewery, it was packed and there was a great atmosphere. Food and beer are highly recommended. The classic car meeting in July was sensational. So many beautiful, time-honored vehicles to marvel at in great weather, and a dream beer garden under the chestnut trees. The food, drink and the good atmosphere were wonderful.

We took a trip to the Wochinger beer garden. It was wonderful. Very nice beer garden, delicious beer. And good food. The service at the buffet was friendly and always quick. We endured it for a long time and enjoyed the day. Super great. Thanks to the team.

I ate a vegetable plate with fried potatoes, bacon beans, broccoli and grilled vegetables. Unfortunately everything was too salty except for the broccoli. I gave friendly feedback, which was very well received, but unfortunately it was no substitute for the poor quality. 10.50 for little. Unfortunately! Won't eat here again.

In Traunstein my first choice in the beer garden and Bavarian food. Warm buffet with service. Everyone will find something there, even those who want to avoid meat. I'm not one of them ;-) The beer is great! Unfortunately the weather wasn't so great last week. Inside works too. Beer garden is better though.

You can’t beat heritage, tradition and good old service from people that really love their life and the work they do. I haven't been there yet, so I'm just evaluating the service for now. Even after asking twice whether the beer garden is a typically Bavarian one where you can also bring your own snack, there was no information. I assume that this is not desired. I can't say at the moment whether I'll actually visit this place myself, I'm not inclined to do so.

Sind nach 9 Jahren wieder mal inTraunstein gewesen. Der erste Anlaufpunkt wie immer der "Wochinger". Das dunkle Bier, ein Genuss, die Brotzeit (Wurstsalat) lecker. Beim zweiten Besuch war für mich das Buffet angesagt. Leider war ich sehr enttäuscht, da die Portion recht Uebersichtlich war. Ausserdem war das Essen nur lauwarm. Vielleicht sollte man dem Gast auf der Karte mehr warme Gerichte anbieten, wie es die Mitbewerber tun. Das Essen als Buffet ist nicht die Lösung.

Of course the beer garden and the inside of the restaurant are beautiful. But unfortunately the food was very poor. It's either totally over-seasoned or bland. The salad buffet is also no longer what it used to be. Where's the vinegar dumpling, the sausage salad or the egg salad :( The vegetables always taste the same and the landlord isn't exactly the friendliest anyway. Unfortunately, after the renovation, the play area inside disappeared, which encouraged young parents with children to go somewhere else. Children can only play outside!

The lunch buffet was served quickly and tasted very good.

Das Buffet funktioniert ganz ordentlich und die Leute sind freundlich. Dafür funktioniert der Getränkenachschub im Garten überhaupt nicht. Wir haben unser Essen geholt, trocken gegessen und dann durften wir immer noch 30 min warten, bis auf Nachfrage die Getränke kamen. Schade für einen tollen Biergarten

I haven't had a better dark export yet... I even took 4 cases home with me because we don't have any Wochinger. I was even served by the boss himself and there was a glass on top 👌

Self-service food (Surbraten) was very good. Service very friendly, due to heavy traffic, overall overloaded. Price/performance very satisfied. Meal with meat and side dishes of your choice for €14.50 (without meat €10.50) very rich and very tasty.
